    Thanks in advance

how about R12? what is the table name?
i use the same table, but doesn't look like it is.
i create a new value in the GL account (flexfield), set the qualifier and query:
    select * from FND_SEGMENT_ATTRIBUTE_VALUES   where creation_date>sysdate-1
    no records retrieved.

  • R12:Enabling the intercompany segment qualifier

    Hi,
Customer want modify the accounting flexfield segment 7 which is "Service Type", to be designated as the Intercompany Segment to enable Inter company accounting.
Could you please advise if there are other config changes, dependencies, or steps to be taken before this change is applied.
Also change the Value Set for segment 7 "Service Type" to be the same as the company segment ie value set xxx_COMPANY , as part of inter company change. Could you also confirm that this change will not have other implications.
    Thanks

  • " ID Generic for the flexfield segment Address Style does not exist"

"ID Generic for the flexfield segment Address Style does not exist in the Value set $Flex$DF_contexts"
Can some one help with this iRecruitment issue.

Just enable the context for the other countries within the definition of the address flexfield. You should then get a drop down list of countries, select it and then the flexfield definition of the address will refresh according to your selection.
Check that the original definition of the address flexfield on the personalisation page includes all the other contexts.

"Error : Line 1 Error - Value 120 for the flexfield segment Company does not exist in the value set XX_GL_COMPANY"
This error message is shown when the user is entering the expense report in R12 Oracle Internet Expenses responsibility. After the user has finished entering the expense lines and after the user has reviewed the default expense allocation values in the expense allocation page, upon clicking on the next button , this error message is shown.
    Has anybody experienced this issue?
We have opened a Service Request with Oracle but so far there is no resolution. This issue occurs intermittently. It is NOT consistent. We have advised the user base with the following workarounds to over this bug:
    1. The system administrator shall clear the cache using Functional Administrator responsonsibility
    OR
    2. Advise the application user to sign-off from Oracle Applications and allow 5 minutes before they sign-in again.
Any help or advise in the matter is appreciated.

  • Making a flexfield segment 'required' for a particular function

    Hi
How do we make a flexfield segment 'required' for a particular function.
I don't want to make this field required from core applications(System administrator), but only for a function.
    kindly give Suggestions..

I understand that this is a issue, as a workaround you can do this for your page alone.
    1. Get the handle to the flex bean segment in your page
    2. make it required.
This is what the devguide says
    1. Find the flex bean by attribute name and call processFlex() on the flex bean.
    2. Call getIndexedChild(int) to extract the TextBeans from the flex bean and do whatever you want.
code shld be something like this
    OAPageLayoutBean page = oapagecontext.getPageLayoutBean();
    OAMessageTextInputBean segmentBonus=(OAMessageTextInputBean)page.findChildRecursive("OfferDetailsFlex0");
    if (segmentBonus!=null) {
    segmentBonus.setRequired(true);

  • Refresh Standard Business Area - Now have multiple flexfield segments

    Hi,
Having a problem with one of the business area's not showing the correct folders in a UAT environment, so i refreshed the Business Area (right click -> refresh). We have 2 chart of accounts, 2 sets of books, 2 operating units etc, and now its added in a GL flexfield segment for each Chart of Accounts instead of the individual ones before hand. See pic below. This is a real problem, and this needs reverting back to how it was. We have 2 EUL's, one on Disco V4, and the other on Disco V10.
    Image: !http://homepage.ntlworld.com/slythgoe/disco_problem.JPG!
Would appreciate any help on this as its going to cause so many problems.

    Hi Gary
When you did the refresh you would have been warned that Discoverer had uncovered changes between the folder in EUL and the object in the database. In order to get where you are you would have had to have accepted the changes because Discoverer will not of its own accord change your folder unless you agree to let it do so.
Just restore the folder from the last backup. That would be the easiest way of getting it back the way it was. If you don't have a backup then you'll have to manually work the folder to get it back into a clean state. I don't think you have damaged your EUL. You've just either got to restore the folder from a backup or manually put it back to rights. If you haven't been taking EUL Export backups now would be a good time to start.
The moral of the story is to pay close attention to what Discoverer reports when you ask it to do a refresh. If you see something you don't understand and need to check it out you should click the Cancel button. The EUL will be left unchanged and you can go and determine what is going on.
    Best wishes

A value has been provided for a non-enabled or non-existent descriptive flexfield segment. (SEGMENT=ATTRIBUTE17) (VALUE=Y)

Are you trying to use a DFF segment which is not used in the current context. This means you also have the DFF segments being used on the Page.

  • Segment Qualifiers for a Balancing Segment

    hi,
I was trying to set the segment qualifiers for a segment value (of a balancing segment) , the default value of Account type was displayed as "expense" . Should that be left as it is or changed?
As far as I know, the segment qualifiers of a balancing segment are mainly "Allow Budgeting" and "Allow Posting". Can the account type qualifier be "expense" for a balancing segment value?
    Please clarify.

    Hi,
As written in the GLUG :
    Balancing Segment
When you define an account, you must make one of the segments a balancing segment. The system ensures that journal entries are balanced--debits equal credits--for each value of the balancing segment. You should make the company segment the balancing segment, so that journal entries always balance by company.
The aim of the Balancing segment is to ensure debit entries equal credit entries,
Debit and credit are entries made with any account type :
Asset, Liability, Expense, Revenue, or Equity

  • Segment Qualifier & Element Qualifier

    Hi,
what is Segment Qualifier & Element Qualifier in EDI?
what is the difference between these two.
    Thanks,
    Rajeswari

    Hi rajeshwari,
here are the simple definition of segment and element qualifier
    Segment:-
EDI documents are comprised of a series of records called segments. Every segment begins with a segment identifier, also called a segment code. The segments are delimited. A special character or characters designate where one segment ends and another begins. Usually segment delimiters include a line return, so we usually think of a segment as a line of an EDI document.
    Element:-
A segment is comprised of a series of elements. These elements are delimited by a special character called a element seperator.
    Difference
The segment code specifies what the elements in the segment represent. For instance, the first element of an DTM segment is date/time qualifier and the second element is the date. The first element of a REF segment is the reference identification qualifier and the second element is the reference identifier. We refer to elements by their sequence within the segment. For example, we refer to the first element within a REF segment as element REF01, the second as REF02, and so forth.
    Example
The following X12 EDI document fragment contains eight (8) segments.
         ST850397822~
         BEG00RE1234*980208~
         REFAHM109~
         REFDP641~
         REFIA000100685~
         DTM010970918~

         N1ST92*87447~

  • Help needed regarding Segment Qualifiers

    Hi,
In my process of implementing Apps R12 afresh, we just created the segments and assigned them their flexfield qualifiers today. In that, the one assigned towards alancing segment shows the value qualifiers like that of natural accounting segment, unlike the bal. segment value qualifier.
I mean, when we try to insert a a value in the bal.segment it asks for qualifiers such as nature:expense/revenue/liability/asset, instead of going for the allow posting and allow budgeting alone. This is crazy, and I need your support.
    Thanks,

    Hi Amit,
Thanks alot for your reply. Its really helpful for me.
So,we usually enter these relationships manually only, right? Before going ahead with the custom program, could you please let me know whether there is any SAP note related to this.Once again thanks alot for you help.

    Kishore.
