Query to find overlapping lines?

I want to identify lines that overlap. Not necessarily ones that are equal, but that overlap. I have a situation where there could be a 10m line and there is also a 5m line directly in top of a 5m section of that 10m line. I've tried all the sdo_relate masks but "touch" seems to be the only one that returns true but that returns true for every set of lines that just touch at a single point also so this is of no use to me on this occasion. Do the sdo_relate functions just work for polygons? I would have thought that covers/coveredby/on would return the set of geometries that interest me but it's returning nothing.
I'm using Oracle 10.2.0.3..

Have you tried using the sdo_geom.sdo_intersection?
When this returns null there is no overlap.
When is returns a geometry with gtype 2001 they intersect in a point. Watch out the resulted geometry will have sdo_point_type NULL and the point itself is stored in the ordinate_array.
When it returns a geometry with gtype 2002 they overlap.
You can easy check this by doing an sdo_geom.sdo_length over the intersection:
NULL no intersection
0 intersect in a point
0 overlapMaybe this can be of use.

I'm looking for a query to find the first dates and last dates in a table conaining overlapping dates.
I have a subscription table which has for each Customer start and end date for different subscriptions.
I want to know the different ranges of date where there is subscriptions active.
so if the table has this:

CAn someone send me SQL QUERY TO find all ORDERS that have all LINES in CLOSED status.

Orders,Returns --> Order Organizor --> Find orders/Quotes form will open --> Close this serch page only.... --> Now you will able to see Order oganizor form --> Click on Lines Tab of this form (you will see this tab atleft bottom side of the page) --> Press F11.. --> In status Field give parameter as *"CLOSED"..*and press Ctrl + F11 ..... Take an export of the form output..
Risk : this query may take hell lot of time to complete..as it is going to pull all closed line of a particular Org..

How do I find the overall database size?
The biggest portion of a database's size comes from the datafiles. To find out how many megabytes are allocated to ALL datafiles:
select sum(bytes)/1024/1024 "Meg" from dba_data_files;
To get the size of all TEMP files:
select nvl(sum(bytes),0)/1024/1024 "Meg" from dba_temp_files;
To get the size of the on-line redo-logs:
select sum(bytes)/1024/1024 "Meg" from sys.v_$log;
Putting it all together into a single query:

Oracle Spatial function to find nearest line string based on lat/long

Hi,
Here is my scenario. I have a table that contains geometries of type line strings (the roadway network). The line geomteries are of type Ohio state plane south (SRID 41104).
I have a requirement - given a lat/long, find the line string that snaps to that lat/long or the nearest set of line strings within a distance of 0.02 miles.
This is a typical example of trying to identify a crash location on our roadway network. The crashes being reported to us in lat/long thru the GPS system.
How can i acheive this through any spatial functions?

Hi L,
That is not the way I would do it. I would convert my road segments to LRS data, then you can do all queries on the same data.
Or, if you do not want to modify your original data, create a copy of your road segments with the same ID's and convert the copy into LRS data. If you keep the ID's identical, you can easily use geometry from one and LRS data from the other - as long as you are sure the ID is the same.
Which will make the workflow a bit easier:
1. Use SDO_NN to get the closest segments
2. Use SDO_LRS.PROJECT_PT to get the projected point
3. Use SDO_LRS.GET_MEASURE to get the measure
And most of these you can incorporate into one single query. Now I am writing this of the top of my head (It's been a while since I played with LRS). so this has not been tested, but something like this should work (but could probably be greatly improved - it's getting late for me :-) ):

How do i remove overlapping lines in Illustrator?

I am trying to take and exported CGM outline from a 3D model and use it to make graphics. I need to take the CGM from UGS Teamcenter into Itedo IsoDaw, and from there make callouts then export out a WebCGM with object names. The final CGM has a size restriction and because of multiple overlapping lines in the source CGM it has exceeded the file size. I need to be able to eliminate the double lines or otherwise reduce the file size DRASTICALLY from what it currently is. I am trying to find a tool in Illustrator that would at least eliminate the duplicate lines and allow me to focus on reducing the detail level in order to hit my target size. If anyone has any ideas on how to reduce these files it would be a HUGE help.

A script maybe. But I think this might have be done manually by selecting the top most art in the document window and the locking al the seected art and then select everything else and hit delete.
I think you can right a script if you can't write scripts then migrate to the Scripting forum perhaps they have one already or will be willing to modify one and or help you to create one.

I want to know the query to find out the whole time used by the user for an application. Please view the below data
Employee:

By checking the above data we can say that the total time Visu used the application is
8.30 - 6.30 (From 1,2,3,4 records) = 2hrs
10.30 - 9.30 (Based on 5th rec) = 1hr
So the total time Visu used the application would be 3 hrs = 180 mins.
Could you please help me in getting the result from that data using a query?

SAP QUERY report for vendor line items

I have created a SAP QUERY report for vendor line items with fields vendor no.,vendor name,amount,company code and period.But there is one line item i donot know from wher system is getting it picked with is not in that vedor account,when i compare with fbl1n.I checked the document number too...the same doc number is twice in my query report.One with correct amount and another with wrong one.How do i chk.Where did i go wrong in creating query.I used logical database KDF.

Query to find the list of users having access to a particular scenario

I am learning Hyperion Planning 9.2 x version. I wanted to know the query to find the list of users having access to Plan Iteration - 1 scenarion.
As I am new to Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning, I am assuming these ideas work out to get the desired result.
1) As Hyperion Planning uses Relational DB to store the User Security information, we can query the list of users who is having access to Plan Iteration - 1 Scenario.
I am not sure if this solution works. Please correct me If I am wrong.
2) We can also query from the essbase editor to find out who all having access to this scenario.
If the above is correct, can you please provide me the query.
I am really need of this and I will be happy if any one provide the solution.

Hoping someone can help.
I've a list of particular notfication messages, which are stored in the WF_MESSAGES_TL and WF_MESSAGES table, and I need to find out which workflows use them.
Can anyone tell me what table I can query to find this out ?
There's no referential integrity which I can use to find this out, and google has turned up nothing so far.
Any ideas ?

Or how would you parse some dynamic statement as this:

...What is the table name? How do you want to parse that?
Better rewrite all dynamic SQL statements into non dynamic ones. Or do the source control logic for those dynamic parts in an extra module. For example implement your own dependency table and force every developer to add there all dynamic parts.
