  • How to see the SQL running in back ground when we genarate a report.

    Hi All,
I am new to Oracle Reports Builder toll and I would like to see the SQL query/script running in back ground when we run any perticular report using Reports Builder 10g.
Please help me with this query, Thank You Very much for your help in Adv.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
well the only option you can try is enabling trace from Builder (Program --> Tracing --> ALL) and then from the OS keep checking the trace file being created when the report is running. Something like the following will be recorded.
    example
    10:14:18 APP .. ( Repeating Frame R_G_EMPNO
    10:14:18 APP ... ( Group G_EMPNO Local Break: 0 Global Break: 0
    10:14:18 APP .... ( Query Q_1
10:14:18 SQL EXECUTE QUERY : select * from emp where deptno=:x
    Bind Variable Value
    X 10
    10:14:18 APP .... ) Query Q_1
    10:14:18 APP ... ) Group G_EMPNO
    10:14:18 APP ... ( Text Field F_DEPTNO
    Hope this helps

You need to find the different between the current time/date and FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS.ACTUAL_START_DATE for the running requests.

  • Portal SearchOps: Can I see the SQL generated?

Is there a way to see the SQL generated by a content search?
We have started to move a project into production which is querying against a DB2 database, and I fear that a date range constraint in our query is failing to be exercised.
    Thanks,

If you're familiar with using debug.properties, add this to your debug.properties file:
    usePackageNames: on
    com.bea.content: on
When you start the server, pass this option in:
    -Ddebug.properties=[your debug.properties file, including path]
The output will be rather verbose, and you might be able to narrow it down by replacing
    com.bea.content: on
    with
    com.bea.content.repo.internal.server.logic.SearchOpsLogic: on
    com.bea.content.repo.internal.server.common: on

default Oracle behavior is that NO specific actions are audited.
You would have had to manually enable AUDIT for all SQL statement by single user

    Tom,
Check this OSS note 801367. It will help you setup the required parameters in receiver JDBC adapter to see the SQL stmnt, depending on the SP level you are in.
Make sure you set these parameters only in DEV or TEST systems and NOT in production.

  • Any way to see the sql code used to update DataTableModel?

    Hi,
I'm getting an sql syntax error when I do an update on a table model.
Is there a way to see the SQL command that Creator is using to update the database?
    Thanks!
    Rick

This is an easy one. In your code before you do the .execute put in the following line: String tempString = tableRowSet.getCommand(). Set a break point on the line after. Start the program in debug mode. When the program hits the break point look at the value of tempString. check your sql statment.

  • How do i see the sql statements that are run ?

i want to see (in a log file) what are the sql statements that oracle had ran.
how do i do it ? what configurations should i do ? how ?
    please help ... thanks

Current SQL statements are viewed in dynamic tables:
    SELECT SCHEMANAME, SQL_ADDRESS, SQL_TEXT, last_call_et
    FROM V$SESSION, V$SQLAREA
    WHERE V$SESSION.SQL_ADDRESS=V$SQLAREA.ADDRESS
A historical log of all SQL statements is recorded in Oracle Archived Logs, and can be viewed using the Oracle Logminer approach. This process requires your database to be in ARCHIVELOG mode, and that Logminer be configured to read the archived logs.

  • Help! how to check the SQL run in Oracle?

    Hi all,
I have a problem. the developer said the SQL written in Java code are not the one executed in Oracle DB. that mean the query is some how manipulated by some PL/SQL so the final query run in Oracle is different. So can someone teach me how to check the actual SQL run in Oracle?
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Jason

Hi Michel Thanks. But it looks like the query stored in v$sqlarea is not the final executable SQL. for example, the code in application is "select column_A from default_table where column_A = ?" and this ? will be given some value in run time. the query stored in v$sqlarea will be like "select column_A from default_table where column_A = :1"... what is this :1?
Also if some PL/SQL procedure appends some condition to the SQL, is it possible to view the full query from database side?
ok, let me try trace and tkprof first.

  • Query to see the Status of all jobs including steps

    Hi,
I have 5 jobs in my sql server and each job has 5 steps.
I need a query which returns the job status, along with steps status in a single query.
i want the result of last execution only

you can use msdb catalog views like sysjobs, sysjobsteps etc for that

  • How can I get my trigger to see the SQL that activated the trigger?

The catch here is that this is a standard edition instance so FGA is not available.
    TIA, Allen

I would be very interested in why you would want the literal SQL...
While this won't be particularly efficient, you can get the SQL currently being executed in a session via something like
    select sql_fulltext
       from v$sqlarea area,
            v$session sess
      where sess.sql_address = area.address
        and sess.sql_hash_value = area.hash_value
and SYS_CONTEXT( 'USERENV', 'SID') = sess.sidI haven't tested that this returns the query that actually fired the trigger in every situation, but it's probably a reasonable guess...

  • See the SQL to be executed by a page?

In a previous release of HTML DB (1.5?) it was possible to set a switch to display the SQL that is generated, with all item substitutions, to populate a report. I found this very helpful in debugging page SQL processes. I do not see how to do this in release 2.0. Is this no longer supported?

There are 2 ways to debug a page from Apex
    1. Change the NO to YES in the URL in the "debug" parameter position (Read the user guide for the syntax of the f?p= URL)
    2. Add a &p_trace=YES to the end of the URL. This will make Apex generate a trace file on the server (in user_dump_dest). You can use tkprof on this file as usual.
