Question about going to next or previous record
Hi there,
I have a data block which is not based on table. It is a multi record block that gets populated with default values depending on some value on the previous tab. This item called "description" has also a LOV attached to it. The user should have the option of keeping the default values or clicking on LOV to change the value for each record. Each LOV is different and depends on default value.
Cursor is in last record. I click on LOV the correct lov pops up. click on previous record by just clicking on the record and not using (previous record button from toolbar) and click on LOV, incorrect LOV is shown. It is showing the LOV from the last record.
But if I click on previous record button, correct LOV gets populated.
Which trigger should I use to solve this?

I would use the when-new-record-instance trigger to kick off your logic.
Where is it called from at present - post-query?
The previous & next record keys do the same as key-up & key-down but using the mouse forms will not fire this logic for any records passed over. We had a similar problem with validation and had to disable mouse navigation for that form so we could just trap key movement.

I personally believe this is possible; unfortunately, I haven't seen it done yet. If your recording contains:
- audio
- a camera feed
- screensharing
Then I think you might be able to get this going. If it contains shared content, like a shared PPT, this gets trickier.

Exactly right. If your recording didn't contain shared content, then all you've got on your hands are a bunch of audio/video files that you could edit together as you wanted with your favourite video editing tool. If it contains shared content, here's (at a high level) what's happening.
For shared PPTs or FTContent files:
First (for version 9 recordings only), Connect reads the information on the Shared Content's location and SCO within mainstream and indexstream and validates it before loading it. I don't recall this happening to the same extent with version 8 or earlier, but maybe it was. Now, if the content is validated (ie. Connect can find it) the share pod will display as black, if it doesn't, you get an empty pod with an message like "No content is being shared" or something like that.
Connect then looks at the actual FTContent file, and loads the content that is to be shared using the file path and sco ID listed in here. It's important to note that the SCO ID and file path in here will likely not be the same as the original file you uploaded to your room, it's a new SCO id (I believe SCOs of this type are called referenced scos) and new path.
Now...if I was going to build some sort of player which would play all these files in one screen to make a recording...I might not want to use Connect's code here. If you know the file path to the shared content (from FTContent), you could easily view it with the content URL (conveniently also in FtContent). I'm not a coder, but I'm envisioning something like Presenter's GUI where you've got the presentation's content in the main area, and a video file (if there is one) playing back on the side.
Anyways, food for thought if you want to try to go about this. Connect recordings are incredibly complex and they come with a big learning curve, but if you can make sense of them the knowledge is quite valuable. -
Questions about going to multiple iCloud IDs for Family
My wife and I have an iPhone and we also have an iPad that stays at the house everyone uses including our kids. I've always had my Apple ID logged in to the store part so we can share all paid apps and music. The iPad also has my id logged in under iCloud so it's using the iCloud ID that is associated with my store ID, which is the same as my gmail account. If I want to change that one to the family one like the guide on iMore talks about, would I do the following steps or am I missing something? Say for this my gmail is [email protected] and it also gave me [email protected] [email protected]
Existing iCloud/iTunes account:
Login to manage my apple ID and change the "Apple ID and Primary Email Address" from [email protected] to the alternate of [email protected]? Do I have to use [email protected] or can I create a new icloud email called [email protected] and set that as my "Apple ID and Primary Email Address"?
Create New iCloud IDs:
I created a new iCloud Email address/account for me and my wife. We would each sign in to our own under iCloud to have seperate storage and to have find my friends work.
We would each continue to setup our gmail accounts as exchange.
By doing this, and going on the phone and changing the store login to [email protected] or [email protected], would that still have all my purchases moved from the [email protected] to the [email protected]?It's not necessary to merge the iCloud and iTunes Store accounts. The Family Organizer should use their own iCloud account when setting up Family Sharing. You'll also be asked to supply the iTunes Store account you want to use to share music, movies, apps, etc., with your family during the setup process. It appears Apple has already addressed this common problem.

Question about using pl/sql to mark records in a table
I have a table where I have stored college course's details,
the pertinent for this questions are the fields:
course_number,
alt_id1,
alt_id2,
cross_relation,
What I need to do is to identify cross-listed courses (those that have an alt_id1 not null) and set the first one found to be parent in the cross_relation column, then read alt_id1 and alt_id2 and set them as children in the cross_relation column.
example: what I have (these are in no particular order)

Questions about going from Trial Version to Academic Version?
1.) I'm using a trial version of LR and adding keywords through it. I'm planning to purchase the Academic version with the next few weeks. I'm assuming that everything I do with the trial version will also open up in the Academic version? All my keywording, etc.
2.) I am starting with Lightroom on my Macbook Pro notebook with the trial account and am tagging images, and want to move all the images later to my desktop Macpro computer when I purchase the academic version of LR. Is this a bad idea for any reason? Will I be able to easily transfer everything without LR getting confused for any reason?
Thanks.Changes made in Lightroom such as keywords still need to be written out to the files if they are visible in other applications as Lightroom is a database that contains changes in a non-destrcutive manner. You can do this by turning on Autowrite to Xmp in Catalog Settings or by selecting all your files and ctrl/cmd-s (the usual save settings. Lightroom does NOT contain image files, they stay where they are on your HD and does NOT back up the image files. A Lightroom back up only backs up the Catalog file itself.
If you stop using Lightroom development changes would only be visisble in ACR, to see them in other applications you would need to export the files as Tiffs, etc which will contain the changes made. This would be just the same if you used Canon's DPP, nothing else can read changes. -
Can I set a setting so that iChat doesn't make me go idle?
Because yesterday was the first time I used iChat in a while and I set an away message up. Then I noticed that that away message just randomly changed to an idle status.
Is there a way that I can completely disable the idle function?
Or at least keep my away message up while I'm idle.
P.S. I'm using iChat 4.0.3. (I'm not sure if that would make a difference)Go to ichats prefs/accounts/security and tick the box "block others from seeing that i am idle"

Question about going from source monitor into timeline prior to going into program monitor?
In FCP you had to take a clip from the equivalent of the Source Monitor to the Program Monitor and either do an insert or overwite edit with the clip from there. I see that Premiere has insert and overwrite buttons built right into the Source monitor window. Are there any issues with doing it all from here and not dragging them into the Program Monitor first?
Thanks.Typical NLE behavior is to go from the Source Monitor to the Timeline. The Program Monitor shows whatever is in the timeline. If FCP forced you to go from Source to Program, and then to timeline, that is very unusual behavior for an NLE since, again, the Program monitor is supposed to show you what's in the timeline.
What PP now allows you to do is drag a clip from Source to Program, but this will simultaneously add the clip to the timeline because, as I said, the Program Monitor's purpose is to show you what's in the timeline. With most any NLE out there, if it ain't in the timeline, it won't show up in the Program Monitor. And if it shows up in the Program Monitor, then it must already be in the timeline. -
Is there an easy way to fetch next/previous record in Apex?
I am new to APEX/Oracle, but have a lot of expierence as a mainframe programmer and some experience with SQL.
I have been tasked by my boss to create a set of pages in an application as follows.
Page 1: Select an Employees Name and go to Page 2.
Page 2: Display Employee's Biography Information.
Add a "Next Employee" button and a "Previous Employee" button that will fetch the next/previous Employees Biography info respectively.
In essence, he wants a query with every employee's biography information with the employee selected on page 1 used as the starting pointer.
I have successfully built "select an Employee's name on page 1" and "display his/her info on page 2" with a query that returns a single record.
What I can not figure out is how to get a next and previous button to get the next or previous record in a multi record query, using the intially selcted employee as the intial pointer.
Is their an easy way to build this using built-in APEX functionailty, or will it require programming to achieve this requirement?Bob,
I installed the Aria application, but now I wish I'd run the preview first. It's a cool application, but I don't see anything like what greich requested. I'm looking for the same thing.

I'm trying to imagine how I'd code buttons for that Form page to let me click to see the next or previous person on that same form. My mind gets totally boggled when I consider that the user might have filtered the report to only show a few records. How do I have any idea what those IDs were and what order they were showing in, to know which is the next individual.
My only thought it to create a process on the report that could save primary key (e.g. employee ID) to a table or Apex collection? Then the form button runs a process that finds the current ID then uses next or previous?
I'm not sure how I could capture the PK in the report in order to save it.
Does this make sense? Anyone got a better idea?

Hi,
Just got back from the APEX class. Very new at this.
I just created two button called PREVIOUS AND NEXT. When I press PREVIOUS or NEXT button I want it to go to previous or next record within the same form page.
What do I have to do to make it functional in APEX. I mean, what code,processes is needed and how to do it.
I would appreciate it if someone has done it and maybe show me the code/process of how to do it. Maybe they can share their application on apex.oracle.com.

When I first come to a page, I show an interactive report. Interactive report has an edit button.
When user clicks on the edit button, it goes to a form where user can edit the record.
Once the user edits the record, they want to go to the next or previous record. What needs to be done on next and previous button to accomplish that.
For eg. If I am on record 1, when I press NEXT I should go to record 2. -
When i try and reset my id account it says it has been blocked for security reason. When you answer question about your birth date no souch record found and when i resset it by email io dont recieve any email from apple id reseat password. can anyone hep me ?

It's so annoying!! I have created a new Apple ID but after I click verify it just goes back to the previous page!!! It''s really frustrating I have tried for more than 4H, and the problem is not about the apple ID. I can download apps with the apple ID, which means IMessage is the problem! Read next or previous text messages w/o going backward?
In Mail, when you open a message there are two triangles at the top right that allows one to easily navigate to next or previous messages.
However, in Messages, when you open an SMS text message, these navigation triangles are absent. In order to go to a next or previous message, one must hit the Messages button at the top left and go backward, select a new message. Then repeat over and over again if one wishes to navigate thru multiple messages.

If not, then Apple needs to add this seemingly simple navigation feature ASAP.I believe you are talking about navigating between different SMS conversations since the iPhone's messages app is in conversation format by each contact that you exchange messages with similar to an instant messenger client.
There is no option to navigate from one conversation to another from within an existing conversation, and there is no 3rd party app that provides for this and doubtful there will be. Such an option must be provided by Apple.

Can't uninstall QuickTime for upgrade
