Question about reports layout

Hi ,
I have a quick question about report Layout.
I have created a report in 6i. Now if I want to change my
select statement and add new table to select from , it just
restructures my report layout again and set that to Default One.
Is there any way where I can set my Own layout as Default for
that particular Report ?
I would really appreciate any feedback.

Try to give it alias names to the columns . Then when you
change the table your are selecting from . The layout should
not change.

    under this check for masters, you can find a report.

  • Questions about Classical Layout Formatting

    Hi,
    Just a question on classic reporting. Im pretty sure we can customize the layout of a classic report to look like this, ie.
    SDN
       SAP
         &nbsp:NETWORK
    Therefore, when a user print this report out, will the report come out this way?
    When the user export to a csv and text format, will the format still be the same?

    I just found out that I can't even transfer my Users folder or Program Data to other drive than the one with the system, because it would prevent me from updating my system or even from actually booting to my system. So apparently my whole topic is for nothing... I guess I should live with only one drive, and whenever my system totally crashes again I should do the backups to my external HDD. It's sad though that Windows 8 is a total opposite to user-friendly OS, to say the least.

    I don't think, there is any single Standard Report for above said purpose.
    You may, look in to different reports:
    VL10C - Delivery Due (Sales Order-wise)
    VL06O - Delivered (You may fetch the Report, based upon Sales Order - Enter Range for S. Order, under Tab: Doc. Data, and then execute the Report)
    VA05 - Open Sales Order
    To view, all details in to single report, customization required.
    Alternatively, save output in "Excel" and use "VLOOKUP" to combined the result, from above reports
    Q6: What settings are required to perform collective delivery, i.e. create one delivery from several sales orders? I have tried it but failed, even same customer, same shippping condition, same delivery date, same shipping point.
    Basic requirement for Collective Delivery:
    Ship To Party
    Inco Terms
    Confirmed quantity date at schedule line level
    Delivery priority
    Shipping Point
    Above-data must be same in all Sales Orders.
    Also routine "051" will allow you to combine only if billing document types are also same. So try with 101 in Field: Order Combination, within T. Code: VTLA, for your item category.
    Try with T. code: VL01N/ VL10A/ VL10B, to create Delivery.
    If WM is assigned then a transfer order has to be created to do delivery using LT03 and once you create transfer order then you can do PGI.or you can confirm the transfer order using LT12

  • A question about report completion in production order

    Hi,
    Rightnow, i am trying to develop some application about production order and play with the production order in SAP. I found a issue which I don't understand. Let's say I have a production order with some components issued for the BOM and these components are managered by serial number. Natually, when I issue components into this production order SAP asks me to select serial number. But when I report completion for some products, SAP doesn't ask me to select component's serial number. Also when I try to return left components from production order to warehouse, SAP ask me to select the component's serial but the serial # list is the complete list which doesn't make sense. Because I have already report some products completed, how comes it ask me to select serial # from all of them? So seems that SAP doesn't manager the serial number properly in production oder, something wrong either I miss some steps in SAP or SAP missing something to manager the serial # for production order.
    Any idea?

    Sorry to post such a basic questions but i have been assigned a task to create reports so i am trying to do it...so kindly explain me the below things in detail please if possible give me some simple examples.
    when we right click on the key figure or characterstic we get option like
    NEW STRUCTURE
    NEW SELECTION
    and what exactly is this new selection and new structure..a bit confused please kindly give me some basic and a clear example i am a very slow learner.

    Hello! I'm looking to correct some tax documents from 2012. In order to do that, I have to download reports. How do i do so, and which version of reports are the best? I have a very hard time reading the ones that list both authorizations and confimred payments.

  • DW CS5 question about page layout viewed in different browsers

    Hello.
    I am still very new to Dreamweaver CS5 and I need help with the appearance of a new website that I have been creating. We are mac based and I'm currently using Mac OS10. The layout I have created should appear centered on the page and it contains a solid background image. When I view it on our macs using Safari, everything looks exactly as it should, but when viewing it on a PC using the Internet Explorer 8, the text, spry menu bar and image of a doctor on the right hand side (that is set to change every time the page is refreshed), all shift to the right. Any advise on fixing this issue would be extremely helpful. The index page and the pages under the obstetrics menu are the only ones that I have completed so far.     Yes, I am referring to the fact you are using absolute positioning for the divs, and that this is causing your problems.
    If you change the top, left/right values you are using to position them to % values this will alleviate the problem, (not completely though). Instead of say -
    top: 500px;
    left: 450px
    use
    top 70%;
    left: 40%;
    The values are only examples and you will have to adjust these to suite your needs.

    I'm currently surveying my options for a web based application that we are developing that requires reports with charts in HTML, PDF and Excel format.
    As the application is being built around 9i DB and AS it would be great to take advantage of the functionality already available to us, but I wanted to clarify the following to determine if I need to also use any external packages to support my needs:
    (1) With Oracle Reports, when charts are embedded in a PDF are they generated as bitmap or vector diagrams?
    (2) I've searched around the OTN and couldn't find a complete list of the charts available within Reports - is such a list available anywhere? Are there any samples anywhere so I can get a feel of the "aesthetic" qualities of the output of Reports?
    (3) Do charts support any image map or DHTML features (ie. mouseover to get textual display of numeric values).
    (4) Does Reports support an Excel export capability. I don't mean a simple CSV dump of data - I mean a fully formatted Excel spreadsheet with charts, etc.

    (1) With Oracle Reports, when charts are embedded in a PDF are they generated as bitmap or vector diagrams? With Oracle Reports 9i, Charts are generated as gif files during the generation of PDF files, but the gif files are deleted after the PDF is generated, they are embedded in the PDF file.
    (2) I've searched around the OTN and couldn't find a complete list of the charts available within Reports - is such a list available anywhere? Are there any
    samples anywhere so I can get a feel of the "aesthetic" qualities of the output of Reports? Oracle reports 9i is integrated with bi bean, the complete list of the charts (bar, area, line, pie, ...) is available on Bibean doc. You can take a look at http://otn.oracle.com/products/bib/content.html.
    (3) Do charts support any image map or DHTML features (ie. mouseover to get textual display of numeric values). With Oracle Reports 9i, charts support image map and hyperlink. But you need to specify when you create the chart.
    (4) Does Reports support an Excel export capability. I don't mean a simple CSV dump of data - I mean a fully formatted Excel spreadsheet with charts, etc. You can't put report with charts in Excel spreadsheet.

  • Dumb question about Reports??

    I ran Software Difference. On the client computer it stated in many cases Extra and not the version. I looked into the client computer to see if there were two of the apps. the report indicated but there were not two as far as I could see.
    Could someone tell me what Extra means in the compare software report.

    Thank you Prashanth. If the guide is the same as what's available in the help section, it won't help. ha. I want to run a report that shows me how many calls each agent took per hour. I don't seem to be able to do that. I can run it per agent, and it gives me either one big total or lists each call indivdually. Neither of these work if I want to compare how many calls each rep took in a given hour. Does that report exist?

    Hi Ajay,
    The information shown on line item reports (SAP describes them as “list displays”) can be controlled using a report Layout.  A Report Layout specifies the sequence of line items should be shown on and their positioning on the list etc.
    Cost centre line item reports are one of the more commonly used list displays but vendor, customer and general ledger line item reports are also list displays.

  • Custom report layout question...can't find any answers anywhere

    I am trying to build a report in Portal, using the custom report layout. The report displays like so, before I do any customization:
    COLUMN1 COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN1 COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN1 COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN1 COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    where COLUMN1 is the same value, always per report; COLUMN2 and COLUMN3 vary.
    What I want is:
    COLUMN1
    COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    COLUMN2 COLUMN3
    In the report layout editor, Body section, this is what I see:

    <TD ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN2.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN3.FIELD#></TD>
    so #COLUMN1.FIELD# must be some kind of array, but I am not finding any documentation anywhere on how to reference the individual values. All I need is the very first value of the COLUMN1 variable. Once I have that value, I can put it where I need it, but I can't get at that value, just the array.
    I have searched portal center, the app server documentation, html documentation. I have googled everything I could think of, but came up with nothing. I found a similar question on this forum, but no one responded with an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The best way for your case is to use a content folder and customize it whichever way you like.
    however, your question is about reports. the problem in reports is this that you have to use just one single query and the layout of the results of this query are displayed in a peculiar way.
    anyway. something similar but not exactly the same as what you wanted do is the following.
    use a query like the following: (with a union in between)

    this should produce a report with a table structure (you may see the whole if you give BORDER="1" in the main table tag). Within this table, the first column of the first row should be showing top-leftmost column value once (COLUMN1 value) and then the next rows would show last four column values as a table block on the right-bottom part.
