Question about Series, Gaming X, GDXX, HXX ? Which is better?

I have been seen lots of acronyms that I don't know what it mean to be.
What make me decide for z97 GD65 Gaming instead z97 Gaming 7 was the price, the GD65 was more expensive so I thought if is more expensive, is better!
The questions is: What's means GD? H? or just gaming séries? have difference between these acronyms? What GD/H means exactly?
The z97 GD65 have a mSata and gaming 7 have m.2 Port and I still don't understand why z97 gd65 gaming is more expensive.
Can you guys clear my mind?

There are slight differences, and the price difference (here in the US anyway....) is only $10 depending on where you get those 2 boards.
The GD65 has VGA and DVI video outputs for the CPU video.
The Gaming 7 has HDMI and Display Port outputs for the CPU video.
The GD65 has mSATA while the Gaming 7 has M.2.
The GD65 has 6 USB ports (4USB 3.0, 2USB 2.0) and the Gaming 7 has 10 (8USB 3.0, 2USB 2.0).
There's minor differences, but they are there.

You only can find it on not very well known website and with low In-Stock numbers.
Is it like... RARE?! or did MSI Get it out of the market maybe because the Few problems that people had?
Should I buy it or consider getting the Gaming 7 at a lower price?
    I need an advice.

  • SLI questions about Z97 Gaming 7

    Greetings, folks!
I've accidentally tore off the 2nd PCI-E slot on attempting to remove its VGA for maintenance. Don't ask me how! Somehow the VGA lock bracket hadn't worked as usual.
Well, my question is: SLI works from 1st slot to the 3rd slot? I've not found any SLI bridges of that long, because the out-of-the-box bridge is too short. There's any risks on leaving the PCI-E tracks exposed? The board won't power on while they're touching themselves, but is working like a charm, sustaining my 4.6GHz i7 4790K.
    Thanks a lot, everybody. Peace.

Should have 120mm long bridge online (I think it's enough?).

  • Quick question about Z97 Gaming 5 fan headers

How many fans can I daisy-chain in one of the CPU and System fan header?
I'm adding a few corsair sp120s silent edition non-pwm and want to have control of the speed from BIOS.

    Quote from: badboy2k on 08-March-15, 01:53:46
how any you can daisy chain is down to mainly how much each fan draws power wise!
the SP120 Quiet editions are fairly low .08A draw fans so you may be able to power upto 2 off one header as long as they are low power draw fans (below .15A per fan)!
    thank's for this info

  • Question about the new Yoga 10 HD+

    Hi
A few questions about the new Yoga 10 HD+ which I hope you can answer.
I bought the old model last year. Loved the design and long battery time but a few major issues made me return it.
Somewhere I read that it can't read NTFS over USB so I presume that's the same with an NTFS formatted microSD card?
Can it read exFAT formatted microSD cards?
Anyone observed issues regarding audio over bluetooth?
(I know BT isn't exactly High End HiFi but the old Yoga 10 for some odd reason - most likely a driver issue which nobody cared to fix - sounded *much* worse with quite noticeably distortion while both my phone and a cheap noname tablet I have zero fidelity issues - no matter which of my bluetooth audio devices I tried aptX or not)
So to avoid buying this only to return it too I really would like to see if I can have my questions answered before buying it.
While I love the form factor and long running time the above issues are just two mayor dealbreakers to me. Bad audio quality = no joy listening to spotify, local MP3s etc. No NTFS or exFAT = no large movies.
My old noname android tablet really could use an upgrade so I'm really curious whether this can be it or I should look at the competition and sacrify form factor and battery runtime.
    Thanks in advance.
    EDIT:
If it's not supporting either NTFS or exFAT on the microSD have anyone tried ext3 and/or ext4?
I mean with Androids Linux roots it should be a nobrainer to support at least when it comes to royalties unlike NTFS or exFAT where there *might* be some issues with Microsoft.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Thanks!
OK. Seems I should just stay clear of this and look elsewhere
Sony for sure I know support exFAT. I'm usure about Samsung. Odd it seems so hard to find out. File sizes of +4 GB should be taken for granted - it's not 199x anymore...
Oh well. Wonder whether to just go for one from the competition or perhaps just save the money and wait until 64 bit catches on. Rumors is that the next Nexus 8 will be 64 bit... (I really don't expect an answer on this)

  • HT5463 Questions about the "Do Not Disturb" feature not addressed in documentation

    Hello,
I have some questions about the "Do Not Disturb" feature which are not quite addressed by the documentation.
When DND is enabled, will badge app icons still be displayed?
When DND is turned off, either manually or automatically, will Notification Center banners be available for alerts which occurred while DND was on, or are they lost forever?
I guess the main questions is, is DND like an answering machine, which stores up your notifications until you are ready to deal with them?  Or is it a return of the "turn off all notifications" feature that existed in iOS 4, albeit in a more evolved form?
    Thanks,
    - Steve

If you have a schedule set, but activate it manually, it will de-activate at the scheduled time anyway. It behaves perfectly on my 4S, my wife's 4, and both of our iPads.
If you have an iPhone 5, it could be tied to the known issue with automatic time set going Wonky on LTE networks. If that's the case, try disabling the automatic time set and see if it behaves itself.

    BigBen,
I'll answer your questions here point by point (for clarity).
) No, that won't be possible. A line input is only stereo, so all you'll receive signal-wise is just a stereo stream. You'll need a coaxial or optical input to get that signal to the card (only available on the Platinum dri'ves).
    2) In theory that could work, yes, the connections are there. That isn't something we would have tested (or support), though.

  • Questions about Feature Licenses for 1800, 2800, 3800, 2900, 3900 series ISRs

    Hey all,
I have a question about feature licensing for Cisco ISR 1800, 2800, 3800, 2900 series. I know there are differences between all of the series. My main question which applies for all the Cisco ISR series is this:
"If I want to upgrade the IOS to a newer version and upgrade from the basic feature set, do I need to get a license from Cisco? "
    If yes:
And if so, how do I go about purchasing a license? Is a support contract needed?
Again, I need to know for each Cisco ISR series. I'd appreciate any help on this.
    Thanks,
    John

You probably want to reach your SE/AM about this so they can explain you exactly how this works, maybe some sales material, or you can also reach pre-sales.

ok, so i bought a imac 27 about 4 months ago, and now they release a new one!  ****... So my question is, should I sell this one (which by the way is the i5 2.8 with 1 gb 5750 and 4gb ram) and buy the new imac 27 i5,or keep the one i have and buy more ram. I mostly use my computer for photoshop cs5 and illustrator cs5 for graphics out put as well as surfing the web and music.
Please give me you thoughts on what I should do!!  Thanks  lot!

The new iMac is about 25% or so faster than your current iMac(comparable model would be the 3.1ghz version). There are a couple of things that you will benefit from such as the dual Thunderbolt/Mini Display ports/ which may help with multitasking. The video card in the new iMac again the comparable model being the 3.1ghz is a lotttttttt better than the current one that you have. So thinking of the long run those few things may be beneficial for you to upgrade(but it depends on what is important to you).
I had the 2.93ghz i7 version that I just bought in March this year and I turned around and sold it about a week before the new iMac's were announced. I got about $1600 for it, yeah I took a loss but to me it was worth it because my new iMac performs that much better. Now keep in mind I went from i7 to i7...3.4ghz i7 with the 2gb video card. Now I have dual thuderbolt/mini display ports. I have noticed significant gains in my video editing and also in my gaming. So to me it was definitely worth the upgrade!
One last thing, I would not have sold my 2.93 i7 and then bought the 3.1ghz i5, the big reason is because HT(hyper threading), it's only on the i7 model(3.4ghz)... If you take a look at some of the bench marks on engadget, maclife, macrumors, macworld, ****Barefeats.com(they really get into benchmarking)*** you will see charts that will help you make a better decision.
In closing I would say look into it, if you can get a good price out of your current iMac to put toward a new iMac then do it. Like others have mentioned to you, tech changes and Apple will change the tech in these machines next year or do a speed bump later this year or so. One last thing if you go from the 2.8 i5 up to the 3.4 i7, you would definitely see the difference (HT is a must especially for programs that utilize it. You can go to my youtube channel(mob1278) and take a look at my geekbench results.... my 2.93 i7 scored around 10500-11000(8gb ram)...my 3.4 i7 scores from 12700-13000 with 4gb ram....so yeah as you can see big difference. Basically the 3.4 i7 would perform similar or just under a 2.4ghz 8core 2010 Mac Pro which runs you about $3500 with no monitor.... it's your money spend it how you want....and Lion is only going to push it even more when it is released!

Question about the sensor... just got my 4s yesterday after screwing up my 3 with the laterd version update. EVery call I have been on has either changed to speaker, called another number or ended the call or activated facetime, which I have turned off. never had this trouble with my 3...I don't even want to talk to anyone on this phone! Is the sensor bad? That is what the AT&t rep suggested.

Restore as new... if the problem still continues then there is a hardware issue.
If it stops after a restore as new, then the issue is with the backup the device is currently setup with.

Good afternoon! I addressed in the AT&T company with a question about untying of a sim card of AT&T from my iPhone, all of them made Iphone now is unlocked, I executed all points which were written:
    To complete the unlock, simply
1 . Open iTunes on your Mac or PC and verify that you have Internet connectivity.
2 . Ensure a SIM card is inserted into your iPhone.
3 . Connect your iPhone using the dock connector to USB cable that came with your iPhone.
4 . Backup and restore your iPhone using iTunes. For information on backup and restore, please visit http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.
5 . After restoring, your iPhone will be unlocked.
Additional information on unlocking can be found at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3198
I made everything as well as was written, but on completion of the ios 6.1.3 installation the iPhone asks to be activated through wifi or through a wire to the computer.
I connected Iphone to the computer and the text takes off: (Were sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time. Please TR again later, or contact customer care! )
how to me to activate my iPhone?
    I hope for your help....

    Hey APPLELovestory,
We have an article that goes over troubleshooting iPhone activation issues here:
    iPhone: Troubleshooting activation issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3424
    Perform the following steps:
    Restart the iPhone.
Try another means of reaching the activation server and attempt to activate.
Try connecting to Wi-Fi if you're unable to activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you're unable to activate using Wi-Fi.
    Restore the iPhone.
If you receive an alert message when you attempt to activate your iPhone, try to place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you're still unable to complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Apple for assistance.
    Hope that helps,
    David

  • Question About Adding Ram from other laptop to T-series Thinkpad

    Hi,
I have a question about adding additional RAM. Right now I have a 4gb ram stick in the t510. I have an acer laptop which I do not need and there is a 4GB ram stick onboard (maybe two 2gb ram sticks) there in that older laptop. Would it be possible to add one stick of 2gb ram (or 4gb i need to check if it is 2 or 1) from the acer to the lenovo thinkpad making the total ram in the thinkpad over 4gb????
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Richk,
Yes, I am using a 64-bit operating system. I am running on windows 7. And as for reported incompatibilities....technically taking a RAM from another laptop and placing it in the laptop should be the same as purchasing a RAM card from ebay or something and putting into the laptop right?

    Hi Aysha84,
As long as this email that is your Apple ID does not end in mac.com, me.com or icloud.com you can change it as well as associate it with a different email address. That way you will retain control of all content from the Apple ID. See this article for how to change the Apple ID -
