Question RE: Button Items and Item Buttons - from "Bug Tracker" Demo app

I've retrieved and installed the "Bug Tracker" Demo app from apex.oracle.com and installed it in my space as I've interest in recreating the custom search bars this application contains (I can't use interactive reports because it appears a bug prevents the ability to remove the "hide column" functionality which is a requirement for me).
I'm perplexed with how the developer of this demo app was able to create an item of type "button" (not normally available as an item type when creating items) and how buttons were created with the sequence value of "Item" versus a sequence number.
How do these interact?
I'm a fairly new developer and as these methodologies are not readily apparent with 3.2's "normal" functionality, I'm quite intrigued to understand how this was accomplished.
I've been looking at this demo app for 2 days in hopes of learning this on my own - still at it but not there yet. Any help you kind folks can provide would be certainly appreciated!

I actually figured this out shortly after submitting this post (and confirmed by your post). I had never used a button as "Create a button displayed among this region's items" (versus "Create a button in a region position") before. That apparently is the difference.
My inexperience simply did not allow me to recognize the difference in how apex treats how buttons are created given this choice differentiation.
One more notch in the belt!

Just define the following coding for your button...
    ls_button-text     = 'Outlook mail'.
    ls_button-tooltip = 'Outlook mail'.
    ls_button-on_client_click = 'javascript:window.open ("mailto:email@email?subject=CRM","mywindow1","width=100,height=100,scrollbars=no,menubar=no");'.
    ls_button-page_id = me->component_id.
    ls_button-enabled = abap_true.
    APPEND ls_button TO rt_buttons.

Question about async scenario and WS call from BPM

Scenario is: Asynchronous SOAP to JDBC, via BPM.
In BPM I'd like to call webservice to lookup some data. What possibilities woul'd you suggest in such case?
Currently I'm trying to configure synchronous Sender step in BPM, but no lusk so far...

Does anyone know how I can copy photo and video files from the Photo's app on my Macbook, to a USB stick or other external back-up?

I've updated the software on my Macbook to the most recent version; regretting it now; and iPhoto has now become the Photo's app.
The problem is I can no longer back up my photo and video files taken on my phone, saved to my mac, by copying them and saving them on a USB stick or other external hard drive.
I could easily do this with iPhoto, but now Photos app does not let me copy the files when I select them.
Does anyone know if there's a way to save, copy or back-up my photo's and video files: prefreably one that doesn't involve iCloud, as I don't feel like paying for more storage; there must be some way to access those photos/videos from my iPhone to save on another source?

Select the photos and videos in Photos and use the command "File > Export" and select a folder on your USB stick to save the photos to.

Copy and paste text from fireworks to other apps?

Could someone clue me in on how to copy text out of fireworks and paste it into dreamweaver, text editor, email, etc?
When I highlight text in a Fireworks .png document and try to paste it in a different application it has somehow converted it into an image.
I never had this issue with my older versions of Fireworks. I also remember there being an option of a text editor in the older version.
This no longer seems available in CS5.
Any help would be appreciated.

That option did work in dreamweaver, but not for mac mail, text edit, word, and a browser based CMS tool I'm using.
Seems like a wonkie work around for something that was missed in CS5 Dev. or just not intuitively thought out. Maybe i'm just partial to Fireworks MX, and 8 that I never seemed to have any hick-ups with. I've had CS5 for a little over a month and have already encountered a few issues.

I have to create one custom Web Dynpro program in Local Development. For this program, pcui_gp/xssfpm and pcui_gp/xssutils are needed.
NWDI is configured. I can see pcui_gp/xssfpm and pcui_gp/xssutils in one of the DTR tracks. I am not allowed to do any development in DTR track.
I have to carry out development in Local Development. How I can copy pcui_gp/xssfpm and pcui_gp/xssutils from DTR track to Local Development.

-go to inactive DCs.
-right click on the components you need.
-choose create project from the context menu.
then it will be shown in your local development

I'm guessing you know where in the JNDI you put your queue and topic names. Then you can do:
context.listBindings("myJNDIContext");
and go through the NamingEnumeration that this returns.

Move the concurrent services from db node to apps node

Node 1 - DB Node (HP UX PA RISC)
DB, RDBMS (9.2.0.5), Concurrent, Reports, Admin
Node 2- Apps Node (Red Hat Linux 4)
Web, Forms. (11.5.9)
Need to move the concurrent, reports and admin services from db node to apps node.
Just a pre-clone and a post clone is not working in this scenario. Any other suggestions?

Removing 'Cancel and Remain Item in Inbox' Button from Workflow

Hi,
When I create an option in workflow by default we get one option 'Cancel and Remain Item in Inbox' I think this option appears in ECC 6.0 & above. I want to remove this button from the workitem which is automatically appearing below my approve option.
Can anyone tell me how to remove this option.

Hi,
There is no standard way for hiding this option in the decision step (if I understand correctly what you mean). This has been "always" there - even before ECC 6. Basically this option is actually quite useful, if the user does not want to complete the task at the moment, and keep the work item in his inbox to return to it later.
If you really need to hide it, it will probably mean that you need to make your own version of the decision task (and the method). You can check/debug the code of the method, and see where you could hide the button. BUT if you just need to hide this button for one certain task, it might much easier to just create your own simple screen and use that instead of the standard decision "screen".

Get PO and Item number from FI Cleared Items

Hi,
I need to retrieve PO and item numbers from FI cleared items.
So I retrieve the records for a particular GR/IR account from table BSIS. Based on FI document number, item number, fiscal year and company code, I get the PO and item numbers from table BSEG.
However, I cannot use BSEG in query i.e. SQ01.
What is the easiest way for me to retrive PO and items numbers?

First of all, cleared items live in BSAS. BSIS is for the items that are still open.
Goto SQ02 and make a direct table read to BSAS; click 'Extras' icon; on the right part of screen click 'Create' icon; give name BSEG and choose 'Additional table' radio button. The keys suggested by the system should be good.

Missing all menus and buttons from Folio Builder

I had a problem with Folio Builder panel when change ID password. I re instal both plugin again( FP and FProdTool), but this did not help. After reading the forum about solving the problem >
1) Quit InDesign and any other CS apps
2) Use the Activity Monitor to quit the CS5ServiceManager or CS5.5Service Manager
3) Next delete this file based on version:
/Users/lnegi/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager/preference/csxs2.pref
/Users/lnegi/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5.5ServiceManager/preference/csxs2.pref
4) Then remove this item from the Keychain Access based on version:

To remove from the keychain:
Navigate to /Applications/Utilities and launch the Keychain Access.app
If the lock icon in the upper left appears locked, click on it and enter your password to unlock it.
Select the “login” item in the Keychains list in the top left.
Select “Passwords” from the category list.
Type “renga” in the search field in the top right.
Select any matches and press the delete key.

i'm disappoint ...after the second day, I can not work with my DPS.. afte trying this:
1. Uninstall Folio Builder Panel and Folio producer Tools ( Seems you might have already followed this step). Use Spotlight to serach for Uninstall Folio builder Panel and Uninstall Folio producer Tools and then uninstall repectively.
2. Uninstall Adobe Air.
3. Restart your Machine.
4. Reinstall Adobe Air from get.adobe.com/air
5. Reinstall Folio Builder Panel and Folio Producer Tools.

I am using CRM_ORDER_READ to retrieve the values. In that i am exporting 4 fields - et_orderadm_h, et_orderadm_i, et_product_i, et_doc_flow. So from where to get line items and material id from these fields?

If out of warranty and mechanically inclined, you can get parts and how-to at www.ifixit.com.
The 4 Series are relatively easy to open and service, I've replaced batteries on two 4s. The 5 Series are a nightmare.

For anyone else reading this thread, it is worth knowing that sometimes an email is, or can be, corrupted thereby jamming the works. The solution above is good, but I just wanted to suggest another one.
If the problem arises, go to an online mail access service, such as Mail2Web.com and login to you mail account there and delete the offending message.
Problem solved.
And George, as this is all entirely voluntary, whinging about no takers may not endear people to you. Besides which, a few minutes of searching on Google would have found you a number of solutions.
