Question regarding multi-language installation

Hello,
I would like to know if there are any known solution regarding multi-language packages for the different Creative Suites that we can create using AAMEE?
I was thinking to create a trial version with a serialization answer file after the installation, but I think I will run into issues using this method.
Thanks for the help!

Hi,
Currently you cant create a single multi-language package using AAMEE. You will have to create a different package for every language. All the serial numbers will ultimately serialize the product in 1 language only. Even for serialization file approach you will have to create a trial package using AAMEE and trial packages are also language specific. If you have a multilingual serial number, my suggestion would be to create a serialized package for each language seperately and deploy them.
Thanks,

  • Regarding Multi Language Support in Oracle Custom Table

    Hi All,
I have a requirement that i have to create Custom table to catch the data.
The custom table should support multi language.
Ex. PER_OBJECTIVES (seeded table) Suppose i select the language as Arabic then table should able to insert Arabic data. If English is selected English data should insert.
How i need to design the data base table(similar to PER_OBJECTIVES). What are the mandatory column to support multi language.
    Thanks,
    UMA.

    Uma,
You will need at least two custom tables. The typical way that Oracle supports MLS/NLS is to have two tables - the first to hold an id or code of the object and the second (table name is typically suffixed with TL) which holds the descriptive translations of the object in the needed languages. A good example to follow would be to look at FNDRESPONSIBILITY and FND_RESPONSIBILITY_TL tables. The first table stores the responsibility short_name or code and the second table stores the actual description of the responsibility in the various languages that are enabled in your instance. The tables are joined using the responsibility id or code. At run time, the appropriate description of the object is retrieved from the TL table based on the users session language. If an entry is not found, then the US translation is substituted. ML Doc 333785.1 describes how all of this is achieved.
Since your tables are custom tables, you will have to provide your own translations for your objects.

  • Regarding Multi Language support for Z-Report

    Hi Expert,
I have requirement of supporting multi language for Z- report.
My existing system default client language is EN. Now I have to use Z-Report in other language like DE (German), ES (Spanish) ._But when I tried to execute Z-report in Other Language. In Parameter screen it shows system fields (those I have defined in parameters fields variable) not a text field name._
If anybody have experience pl. explode how to resolve the problem.
thanks in advance and for solution I will give u full points.
    Regards

    Hi,
U have to maintain translations for the text elements and selection texts u created while creating the report. do like this.
Open ur report text elements in change mode.
Menu->goto->Translation* Here give the source language as EN and  target language as DE(German) and press enter. It will show all selection screen elements and text elements. Here give the translated text in corrosponding language if have the one else u can simply give the english text itself. After filling all the elements just press save. Now u will get a success/status message
100% matches on all texts. U have to repeat this process for all the languages u want.
After this log in to ur other languages(other than EN) and check. What ever u maintained there those will appear here.
For standard reports/user exits u have to use transaction SE63 for maintaining translations.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

  • Question regarding multi processes in ABAP

    Hi
We have written a ATC / Checkman Check Implementation.
As we know the ATC / Checkman framework checks objects in object bundle of 50.
Inside the check implementation we have to make a remote HTTP Call. That will be valid for all n instances.
So the number n is determined by total number of objects / 50.
    Question
In this multithreaded scenario how can we introduce a static variable which will be thread safe (making sure no two parallel threads write to this at a same time)
    Any suggestions / help.
If you need more context i can explain more.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Piyush

This could be answered in general thread concept in ABAP.
As if we have to avoid parallel writes on a static variable how to do that?

  • [office] OpenOffice multi language installer in staging

    hi
here is the newest OO creation from my side
a installer where you can choose your language you want
and it automatically generates a package and installs it
still binarys are used but it makes life easier
At the moment some languages are supported you can help to expand it
    supported languages are:
    us,de,fr,it,cs,nl,ja
    to install type
    pacman -S oo-installer
    Feedback is very welcome
    enjoy the installer

It seems that they also need gcc3.2/3 to get it working, but at least there seems to be options for multilanguage compile. I´ll try to compile it..

  • Adobe reader multi language installer..

Is there any adobe reader installer that supports all language?

For Adobe Reader 11.0.0 all the msi and exe files for  Finnish, Dutch, Swedish are available in this location
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.00/
But for the latest version of adobe reader 11.0.06, the installer for the languages such as Finnish, Dutch, Swedish are not availabe..
So I want to know whether the current version supports for these languages? If so where can i get the installer files?

  • Multi-language installation disk

When I insert the installation disk (leopard or snow leopard), there is an option to choose a language. The default is English. Does anyone know if this language option is only for the process of installing the system or is for the system itself which is to be installed? To clarify, for example, if I choose Chinese, the former means that only the installation process is in Chinese, when the system installed will still be in English; the latter means that both the installation process and the system will be in Chinese.
    Thanks!

It is for the system itself as well.  If you want the OS in English, choose English.  The OS language can also be switched at any time later via preference settings however.

  • Satellite Pro C650: Questions regarding Recovery disk installation

    Hi
can someone please give me a little bit of help?
I am having to buy and install a recovery disk for my Sat Pro C650.
When I get it do i just plug in and play it. I have also lost windows 7 which was pre-installed, or would I then need to also buy a new copy of windows 7 and install that too?
Will it then just go back to how it was when we brought it.
Or do I need to do something else after the recovery disk is installed.
    Thanks
    Tina

Hi Tina and welcome to our Toshiba community.
Here is my comment to your posting:
Every new Toshiba notebook is delivered with original preinstalled operating system and saved recovery image on HDD. There are two possibilities for OS installation:
-usage of HDD recovery installation and
-usage of recovery DVD that must be created by notebook owner.
Toshiba recommends creation of DVD disc. Why? If something goes wrong with HDD (defective) you can built-in new HDD and use recovery disc to have factory settings again. So please, if possible, create this recovery disc as soon as possible.
    Back to your questions:
    > When I get it do I just plug in and play it. I have also lost windows 7 which was pre-installed, or would I then need to also buy a new copy of windows 7 and install that too?
    Usage of DVD is simply:
Start your notebook and press F12 to enter boot options menu
Put recovery DVD into optical disc drive
Choose CD/DVD device on the menu and press ENTER
Follow what happen on the screen
    > Will it then just go back to how it was when we brought it.
    Yes.
    > Or do I need to do something else after the recovery disk is installed.
No. Everything will be installed automatically.
If you have more questions you are welcome.

  • Multi language  pages

    Afternoon All,
I have seen discussion on here regarding multi language pages and it appears that there is not an easy solution other than to have seperate apps.
Obviously many do not want this and have seen that a page could through overlays and MSO have user select their language and the page info load depending on their choice HOWEVER this means that each time the page is loaded they will have to re-select their language. Is is ALWAYS the case that the page reloads every time and no way of forcing it to stay as it was when previously loaded. Quite often when looking through ipad apps a page has a great animation when loaded BUT you dont really wnat to see it more than once...
    Thanks very much in advance..
If this is not possible with dps is there a solution ???? ie with html etc etc
    Thankyou

There really isn't a clean way to do this within the folio. You are better off publishing separate folios for each language and using the filtering features in the library to control which language versions are shown.

  • Multiple language installer for Adobe Reader

I need a compressed multiple language installer for Adobe Reader to install with my software.  Is one available?

When we requested a license to distribute the multi-language version of Adobe Reader with our software, we recieved the following link to a download:
    "For full installers: "
"To download the English language version of Adobe Reader 9 with Acrobat.com in compressed .exe format, click here."
When you click on the link, you get a single file (AdbeRdr11006_en_US.exe).  This is an installation for english only.  I am looking for a single .exe file for a multi-language installation.
The link you provided above is to a .zip file that must be extracted and then run.  This requires additional steps in our installation process.  We were hoping you have a single installation file to prevent these additional steps.

  • Oracle 9i Support for multi language is not working.. Giving question mark

    HI,
We have an application which uses oracle 9i as the database. Riight now we are supporting only english and there is a requirement to support multiple languages like korean, chineese and japaneese.
But we are planning to migrate one part of the application to support multi languages. Means it may affect around 10 tables but with huge data. Totally we have around 100 tables.
How to enable the database for supporting multiple langugages.?
Is there any way to enable only the few tables supporting multiple languages. Because if we change the database level parameters for supporting languages, we may need to migrate entire tables. this will be a huge task.
Even if want to set the parameters for supporting multiple languages.. how to set it. Is it possible set it in the existing database or do we need to re-create the table with these prameters.
I have read in some documentation, that we can create table columns with nVarchar2 for supporting multi languages. I have created it. but if i copy some other language characters into those columns, it is giving question mark.
Is it possible to do search using text in native langugage like chineese..
Could somebody guide me on the above clarificationa and what would be the best approach..
    Thanks in advance

You should not use any more Oracle 9.0.1 but at least Oracle 9.2.0.8 to get some extended support if you really cannot upgrade to 10g.
I don't have any Oracle 9.x database available but I've run successfully following test with Oracle 10.2.0.1 in character mode under Linux:
    oracle@pbell:~$ export NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8
    oracle@pbell:~$ sqlplus / @nls

    SQL> select * from v$nls_parameters where parameter like '%SET%';
    PARAMETER

    NLS_CHARACTERSET
    WE8ISO8859P1
    NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET

    SQL> create table t ( data nvarchar2(100));
    Table created.
    SQL> insert into t values(unistr('\76EE\7684\5730'));
    1 row created.
    SQL> select * from t;

目的地Try to make sure you have the right NLS_LANG setting on the client side (under Windows this is a registry setting).

  • Multi Language Question

I am using SAP MDM 5.5 SP6.  The Language set to English only for my test repository and all the fields are Multi language = NO.
My understanding is that if we are loading multi language data then Repository needs to set it for multi languages and fields set to multi lang = YES.
If I am not mistaken,  I am able to load the multi Language data in English, Chinese(CN) and Portuguese (PT)  Russian(RU) etc and displayed correctly in the Data Manager.  When I syndicated as text file, it created correctly with multi Language as far as I know.
My question is, this has anything to do with the file I am loading?.
I am confused.  Anyone clarify this?

    Hi Mike,
Yep it all depends upon the file you load, what ever data is there in the file will be mapped and loaded in the field irrespective of the language, and when you make ur repository/field multilingual it does not update it, those values will stay still in the English row only.
    Cheers,
    Cherry.

First of all, uninstall it with the uninstaller.
    Then:
    Install the ENGLISH version.
Change the language in the CC app to Korean.
Install the Korean version. (DON't uninstall the English version)
Change back the langauge in the CC app to English.
When your OS is running in English, InDesign will run in English with Korean functionality added, if your OS is running in Korean it will take the Korean User Interface, so let your OS run in English.
Every installer language will add needed plugins for the work with that language. E.g. If I install Hebrew, I get RTL functionality in German version, only if I would change the OS language it would change the language of InDesign, InDesign takes always as UI language the language of the OS if available, if not (in your case you have uninstalled English before), it takes any version which is available in the order of languages specified in the OS.
If you need to run your program in a different language than the OS but you have installed it in the language of the OS it becomes more difficult. You would have to use some system tools which are able to force a program to open with a different language. Most of those tools are freeware.

  • Question regarding the installation of a J2EE 6.40 Add-in

    Hi all,
I would like to install a J2EE engine on a test instance of ECC 5.0 and have a few questions regarding the installation...
Do I have to use the MASTER CD to first install the J2EE engine (Support Package 0) and then apply the latest support packages found on the SAP Marketplace?
Or should be able to directly install the J2EE Add-In by using the latest support packages found on the SAP Marketplace?
    Best regards,
    Xavier Vermaut

    Thanks Bhavik for your reply,
That's what I actually thought but I get the following problem... Here's what I wrote into my customer message... I am still waiting for an answer and would like to get this solved ASAP
    Dear SAP,
We would like to install the J2EE 6.40 Add-In on our ECC 5.0 instance
(TST) but get the following error message at the very beginning of the
    installation
    > Cannot find an installed ABAP system, which is a prerequisite for a
    > J2EE Add-In installation. The installation cannot continue.
We checked the installation logs (sapinst_dev.log) and found the
    following :
    > Found these instances:
    > sid: MGR, number: 00, name: DVEBMGS00, host: erpqs1a
    > sid: TST, number: 10, name: DVEBMGS10, host: erpqs1a
Why does the installation say that it can not find any ABAP systems when
having previously found the 2 different instances running on this
    server?
Would this problem be related to the fact that we have two instances on
    this server?
Please find hereunder the way we performed this installation :
    01) Download of the 4 different parts of SAP J2EE Engine 6.40 SP 10
         (Solaris 10 - Oracle)
         Part I   : SAPINST10_0-20000121.SAR         (Solaris 64)
         Part II  : CTRLORA10_0-20000121.SAR         (Solaris 64)
         Part III : J2EERTOS10_0-20000121.SAR        (Solaris 64)
Part IV  : J2EERT10_0-10001982.SAR          (OS Independant)
    02) Extract these 4 archives into /install/J2EE_640
    03) Check Java Version and Environment Variables
    04) Check Solaris Pre-Requisites
    05) Adapt "product.xml" as specified in OSS Note 697535 (IGS)
    06) Log in as 'root'
    07) Set DISPLAY environment Variable
    08) Move to the Installation directory
          ( /install/J2EE_640/SAPINST-CD/SAPINST/UNIX/SUNOS_64 )
    09) ./sapinst
    10) In the 'Welcome to Netweaver Installation' screen, select
          => Dialog Instance Finalization
Any idea how to get this solved?

  • Win 8.1. Core language and multi-language support.

    HI,
I've used a US developed program with multi-language support for years in Win XT and Win 7. As the program now supports win 8.1. I've upgraded to 8.1. and the new release of the program. However it will not work properly and the reason given is
that my version of 8.1. has a different core language compared with what  the program uses and this version is not multi-language supported. Now I wonder if there are various versions of  the core language in 8.1. or is the core
language unique, supported by various language packets for menu's, guiding texts, etc.  Why do I then need a multi-language supported program? Where can I put this question?
    Regards
    Sverre

    I'd probably try them here.
