Questions and feature details

Hello,
I have three or four questions or clarification to know..
1 ) When you create components in Creator, if you want assign the component's name dynamically then how will you do ?
example. take TextField component. Some time your application requires to create dynamicall n number of component(ie TEXTFIELD) and assign a name for all and accordingly you will fetch the values of those fields in action page.
Question 2) If you want add client side validation like javaScript how will you do that is specic to the application .Take the exaple of above.
Question 3) Is there any support for Swings and AWT like in Dot Net what we are getting as Window Programming.

As I said, these are not in the product yet ;-).
For 1/ and 2/, nothing prevents you from renaming attributes or adding JavaScript code in the source files, it just isn't surfaced in the IDE as an integrated feature yet. Afterall having NetBeans as the underlying system lets you do anything you want (if you really want).
JSF doesn't have JavaScript client-side validation capabilities, but rather a server-side validation framework (see http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/tutorial/doc/JSFIntro6.html#wp115526).
For 3/, stay tuned...
-Alexis

    Hello Prasad,
Before attending interviews.....First you need to understand general things like CV writing, projects, sub modules etc., you should be gain knowledge on these concepts then you can move further.
    1. CV 2.Projects 3.your strenths in sap (reading..reading...reading....practice...practice...practice)
2.you please interact with your friends who is on trails, then you can get more information like interview process, methodology, technical etc.,
I am sending some real time interview tech questions which will useful for you.
    Questions:
1.When tickets are raised by end users who will give priority? After resolve the tickets who will close the status?
2.In real time at a time how many normal periods, special periods, MM periods we can open?
3.What is client dependant & Independent?
4.How to transport configuration settings from one client to another client or production client, which tools we can use for transport?
5.Why we donu2019t assign business area to company code?
6.What is the difference between General GL A/c, Control A/c, Reconciliation A/c & Offsetting A/c?
    Answers:
1.The priority is generally decided by the Coordinator on the client side. After tickets are resolved, they will have to be closed by the coordinator on the customer site
    2. In FI as many as you wants. In MM only 2 (current month + previous
3.Certain tables and customizations made in one client will affect the other clients also - then it is cross client i.e, client dependent. While if the changes made in one client has no impact on the other client - it is said to be client independent
4.Transports from one server to the other can be made with the help of transport requests. When a configuration is done the system generates a request number. First release the task and then release the request. Use TC-SE10 / SE09, SE09: workbench transport; SE10: customizing transport. But currently no such difference actually exists.
5.because in case of multiple company codes, same business area can be used across company codes. Business area is cross company code, means it is not confined to one company code thatu2019s why we don't assign BA to any of the company codes. It is client dependant, not company code dependant. We can pass values from one company code to any of the BA in that client.
6.General GL Account are those used for standard posting like for example Income and Expenses Accounts
    - Control Account are basically used for reconciliation between modules like FI and CO, to ensure that both the modules are in sync.
    - Reconciliation Account are those specific covering ADK (A-Assets, D-Customer, K-Vendor). For example a Customer Master would be mapped to a Bills Receivable Reconciliation Account and any transaction that needs to be posted are done against the customer code.
    - Offsetting Account are used for variety of reasons and few examples are Intercompany Postings, at the time of Implementation when TB and Balance sheet are uploaded would be offsetted against a dummy account.
All the best.....dont forget and pl assign points if useful and if u have any querries pl revert back
    thanks

  • Flash Player installation and update questions and answers

How do I verify that I have the latest version of Flash Player?
If you receive a message that tells you that Flash Player is out of date or a new version of Flash Player is available, you can verify this by visiting the Flash Player Help page with your browser.
Simply click the "Check Now" button and you'll be presented with a short message and detailed information regarding your Flash Player installation.
Where should I download the latest version of Flash Player?
Because malware authors will often employ misleading tactics to make malware look like something you should trust, it's important to get your Flash Player updates directly from Adobe.
Please verify that your Flash Player downloads and updates come from only the adobe.com or macromedia.com domains.  You can always download the latest version of Flash Player directly from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
I've selected the automatic update option in Flash Player, why do I continue to get update notifications?
Periodically, users are presented with the Flash Player update dialog notifying them that a new version of Flash Player is available for download from adobe.com.
The automatic update mechanism is used for some updates, security patches that address zero-day vulnerabilities and when users, who have selected to be updated automatically, have not updated within 45 days after a regularly scheduled update release of Flash Player.
What should I expect when I receive notification that Flash Player has an update available?
When a major update to Flash Player becomes available you will be presented with a Flash Player update dialog
After reviewing new features, pressing the Download button will open your default browser and load the Install Adobe Flash Player page.
Clicking the "Update now" or "Install Now" button will then take you to the next page which will start the download process and give instructions for completing the Flash Player install.
Finally, once the installation is complete your browser will display a page confirming a successful installation.
If you encounter installation problems, we recommend you review our Windows and Mac OS installation help documents. Further questions and information can be found on the Flash Player installation forums.
Why does Adobe Flash Player installer include the option to download additional software?
Adobe offsets the ongoing development costs of Flash Player, which is made available for free, by offering users the option to download select software from Adobe partners.
What options do I have when installing or updating Flash Player?
You have a few different options available when updating Flash Player. We recommend that you choose "Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)" when initially setting up Flash Player
or by going into the Flash Player control panel and choosing this option in the Advanced tab.
Once selected, most updates will occur in the background without requiring any interaction. For those regularly scheduled major update releases, you will be presented with an update notification dialog
If you decide not to update, you will receive an automatic update within 45 days if you have the "Allow Adobe to install updates" option selected. Please note that when this update occurs, only Flash Player will be installed.
If you want to be notified about every Flash Player update, select "Notify me to install updates" when initially installing Flash Player or from the Advanced tab in the Flash Player control panel.
Finally, if you'd prefer not to receive any updates, select "Never check for updates (not recommended)". We do not recommend this option as we believe keeping your system up to date improves both security and stability when using Flash Player.
For network Administrators we offer additional update options, including the ability to host your own internal Flash Player update server. Please see our Flash Player distribution page and Flash Player Administrator guide for details.

Sunil, I just want to verify you are pointing me to the link under "Progress bar hangs during download / Unable to connect to server / Unable to download metafile."
If yes, then that is the file I originally downloaded based on a March post I saw here.
I just tried it again, and it (by "it" I mean the Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers from download.macromedia.com) installed 11.6.
After the installation process completed, the dialog box notified me it was version 11.6, and when I went back to, the "find version" page, 11.6 was confirmed.
I did not download the exe for Internet Explorer, as I almost never use that browser.

    Hi Dan,
Thanks for your observation, comment and review.
    1. As a matter of fact, since many features of SAP B1 has not changed, just as you asserted, I took cognizance of new enhancements to the solution over the various releases, especially as it relates to the functionalities. By extension however, most questions for prior releases applies to the “successor” release.
Furthermore, there was a mix-up in the download. Ideally, you should have three sections in the book. Section I (release 2004, by extension - 2005 and 2007 releases); Section II (release 2005, by extension - 2007 release) and Section III (release 2007). The document has been reviewed. Hence, everyone that bought the book before 29th of April 2008 should visit my [blog|http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/sap/kehinde/archives/sap-business-one-solution-consultant-ebook-review-notice-24053] on how to get a copy of the revised version within 24 hours at no extra cost. I regret any inconveniences. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ON THIS FORUM.
    2. On localization, SAP Business One has more than 10,000 installations across the world. The book is not intended to be "localization specific". It is intended to serve as a certification review for functionalities that cuts across board with a mix of localized functionalities. I am sure you found in there a number of localization questions for other countries like UK. My advice for individuals using the book is to identify which questions apply to their localization.
While I await your review of the [revised version|http://www.ebookmall.com/ebook/277772-ebook.htm] as an SAP Business One advisor, I believe you will agree with me that it is an invaluable resource for preparing for the certification exam and also technical interview sessions.
    Thanks

  • Some questions about features of captivate

    Hello,
since I am waiting some days now for a recall of the adobe office i ask here if some features are available within captivate:
    - Is it possible to upscale a recorded session to the screen size. e.g. captured with 800*600, played with 1024*768? Same functionality like upscaling a video on youtube ...
    - Is there a pause button? Can i pause the session (as the person who is using the finished module to learn something) and restart at the same point som days later? Even on another computer?
    - I´ve seen multiple choice and dropdown. Are there any other types of question directly implemented in captivate? Like fill-in-the-blank text or drag & drop with pictures? Or anything else?
    - What about accessibility? anything possible with the mouse also possible by shortcuts with the keyboard? Especially forward, backward, start, stop, pause, tab to the next input, ...
    - Can the design of the controls customizable? We need all buttons with a corporate design ...
    - How detailed are the recordings. Can i see a example for mouse overs and dropdowns somewhere? How much will this increase the file size of the final module?
    - Is the an (optinal) print button on to print out any single page of the module?
Thank you very much for some short answers
    Frank

    Short answers, as requested:
    - Is it possible to upscale a recorded session to the screen size. e.g. captured with 800*600, played with 1024*768? Same functionality like upscaling a video on youtube ...
YES.  You can change the project size after capturing, however, you will likely notice some loss of crispness in the output.  The best size to use for capturing is the one that you DO NOT need to alter afterward.
    - Is there a pause button? Can i pause the session (as the person who is using the finished module to learn something) and restart at the same point som days later? Even on another computer?
YES and NO. You are referring to bookmarking.  Captivate has a couple of options in this area.  One is used when NOT using an LMS and the other is only possible when using SCORM and an LMS. If you are publishing your content to SCORM using a Learning Management System, then some LMSs may support being able to resume the content from another PC at a later date.  You need to know more about your particular LMS for the full answer.
    - I´ve seen multiple choice and dropdown. Are there any other types of question directly implemented in captivate? Like fill-in-the-blank text or drag & drop with pictures? Or anything else?
YES.  There are seven different scorable quiz question types, plus non-scorable Likert questions, and you can also randomise questions via quiz pools.  Drag and drop question slides are available via widgets from Infosemantics.  Captivate 6.1 and 7, also have drag and drop capability.
    - What about accessibility? anything possible with the mouse also possible by shortcuts with the keyboard? Especially forward, backward, start, stop, pause, tab to the next input, ...
YES and NO.  Your question is too broad to answer.  Not everything possible with a mouse is replicable with a keyboard because some keystrokes are already taken by the browser, and not all browsers behave the same way.  Tabbing has been vastly improved in Cp7.
    - Can the design of the controls customizable? We need all buttons with a corporate design ...
It depends on your definition of "buttons" and how you want them to look. For example, you can use a graphics editor to create your own image buttons, and Cp6 or Cp7 allows you to fill shape buttons with a graphic.  Either of these can be added to slides. If you're talking about branding the playbar buttons, you'll need to pay an ActionScript or Flash guru to build you a custom playbar.
    - How detailed are the recordings. Can i see a example for mouse overs and dropdowns somewhere? How much will this increase the file size of the final module?
Download the trial version, install it and play around with the screencapture functionality.  You'll soon see what you can and cannot achieve.  You can certainly capture mouseovers and dropdown menus in demo mode.  Reproducing the behaviour of similar controls in Training or Assessment mode is a bit more involved.
    - Is the an (optinal) print button on to print out any single page of the module?
NO.  But you can create printable PDFs and link them to each page if you really want this.

  • LIghtroom Auto Tone Too Dark and Loses Detail

    Hi,
I'm new to Lightroom so excuse my ignorance if I use the wrong terminology or ask a question that has a relatively easy answer I somehow overlooked inside of Lightroom.
I take photos at my son's soccer games and frequently walk away with over 200 photos to adjust, crop, etc. after removing the poor composition, out of focus and other shots. One of the features that prompted me to purchase Lightroom to replace my existing tool (Capture One LE) was the way Lightroom handled colors in the Auto Tone preset. Photos auto adjusted in Lightroom with the Auto Tone feature exhibit a much more rich/vibrant color than the ones that would come out of Capture One LE for me.
However, I've noticed that Auto Tone also darkens areas of the photo to the point where a significant amount of detail is lost. For example, a shot of a player head on with a shadow across his face and front of his jersey loses facial detail around the eyes, nose, mouth and folds in the front of the jersey because the coloring is darkened to the point where the highlights are lost.
I've tried several adjustments to regain the highlights and associated detail, but am unsure if there's a better way to recover the detail (or gain the tone enhancements without losing the detail). So far, the adjustments I've tried to regain the detail have caused the colors to wash out somewhat and reduce the benefit gained with the color enhancements of Auto Tone.
Is there a better way of regaining the detail after using Auto Tone? And on a related note, is there a way to "undo" just the Auto Tone adjustment in a photo if it's not the last adjustment made, or does one need to step backward through the adjusments undoing each adjustment in order to get to the Auto Tone adjustment in order to remove it?
Thanks in advance for any direction or suggestions anyone can provide. FYI, my photos were all in RAW format (noticed a lot of other posts referring to LR Auto Tone washing out JPGs, but this isn't my issue), with a Canon 20D.
    Dale

There are several ways to go, here, as always with Lightroom in this situation. I suppose one thing you can do is use Auto Tone as you've been doing, and then back down another slider or two, particularly Contrast and Brightness, that moves too far for your taste when you hit Auto Tone.
I don't use Auto Tone. It's considered a machete where deftly-wielded surgical knives get much better results. I tested Auto Tone out on a virtual copy of one of my photos of people for you to see what happens. It bumps Contrast way up, drops Brightness a bit, reduces Fill Light, and increases Blacks slightly. Yeah, that would pretty much get the results you're complaining about! Might work okay in some landscape shots in some very subdued lighting situations, but it will make family shots too harsh.
Let me suggest another approach. First, no one checklist approach like I'm about to suggest works for every photo. But when you learn how to use the sliders yourself, and not rely on the automatic and strongest ones, like Auto Tone and Contrast, your photos will look better than you even realized. Seriously! I know what you're saying:
I take 200 photos at a time, and I don't have time to play with sliders for each photo. Hear me out, though, because you do. Once you get the hang of it, you'll learn to do all this so fast, well less than one minute per keeper shot, and you'll see that it's worth the small amount of time it takes.
First look at all your Imported shots and quickly weed out most of them. Don't try to save the ones where your main subject is out-of-focus or turned away at the last second, or badly overexposed shots, or for whatever reason, aren't worth editing time because you know you have better ones... and you should weed out MOST shots (maybe at least 150) if you took 200! Be a tough editor! Hit the X key as you look at ones to cull, then click Filter by black flag until all the Rejected photos Only are isolated, check them one more time to be sure you didn't X some you want by mistake, ctrl-A them to highlight all the Rejected ones ONLY, and hit Delete to blow them all away, From Disk. Congratulate yourself, because you just saved a lot of editing time.
Assuming the Exposure was in the right ballpark, fix Color Temp first. For your first keeper shot, move that Temp slider near upper right of Develop, almost certainly to the right for Canon Raw shots, to warm the faces a bit. You probably don't want the kids' faces ruddy red, but a little warming so that white jerseys just begin to go slightly to the red side of white, makes your outdoor people photos glow. It wouldn't be surprising to see family soccer photos in the 6000-6500 range look best. If you want cold journalistic realism, leave white jerseys pure white and Temp down in the 4000-5000 range on a cloudy day or 5000-6000 range on a sunny one. Now, if one shot's right, and
if your light didn't change during the shoot (sun going in and out of clouds, sun setting, field lights turning on halfway through the game), you can fix Temp for all your remaining shots with just a couple of clicks! Leave the first shot you fixed Temp for highlighted, and ctrl-A the whole filmstrip (or, alternatively, you can just ctrl-click the ones taken in the same light). Now click the Sync button that appears near the lower right corner of Develop. A window pops. Make sure White Balance is checked, and click Synchronize. (Every field checked here gets applied the same as on the first highlighted shot to all your subsequently highlighted shots when you do this. Since you haven't changed anything else yet, you don't have to uncheck the other boxes-- it won't matter. But later, after you've made other adjustments to other shots, you might only want to leave the boxes checked for fields you do want applied the same to all highlighted photos.) When you click Synchronize, watch all the highlighted photos in the filmstrip at the bottom get a warmer color balance. You can always later make more refined adjustments to individual shots or groups of shots that go too red or not warm enough.
The next thing to fix is the Exposure. Get in the habit of constantly consulting that Histogram graph at the top of the right column. Ideally, though this isn't always possible or ideal, but generally, you'd like to see neither triangle in the upper right and left corners
lit. (When it's right, you'll still see the outline of the triangle, but it won't be illuminated.) Even better, for an average outdoor shot with a variety of light and dark tones, you want to see a nice balanced line across most of the graph, curving up from the left and down on the right. Not always possible or the best exposure for every shot, mind you, just average ones. (A silhouette shot on a beach with the setting sun in the photo is an example of a shot where the best Histogram will look the opposite of that!) Try moving Exposure slowly to the left and right and watch how the Histogram moves. Try to get the best average placement you can, and see if the photo still looks right.
Or watch your grass with soccer shots while you move Exposure back and forth. Grass should look middle green, not too bright, and not dull-muddy-dark. Or watch faces. If you still have a triangle on the upper right of Histogram, which means highlight detail is blowing out, try sliding Recovery to the right just until the upper right triangle disappears, if possible. (It isn't always possible, even with Recovery at 100.) If you still have a triangle on the upper left of Histogram (that one means shadows are muddy with no detail), try sliding Blacks down from 5 towards 0, just until the triangle goes away. Sometimes it's easier to make a triangle go away by moving Exposure a bit. If there's no triangle on the upper left, try increasing Black slowly just until one appears in the upper left, then back off a bit until it just goes away again. If there are harsh shadows, increase Fill Light to brighten shadows a bit until it looks right. Losing the triangles is a general goal but not as important as having photos look right to you. It's a juggling act. Sometimes when you remove the triangles, the grass is muddy brownish, faces look wrong, or highlights are too dull. Maybe you move Exposure, Highlights or Blacks to put one or both triangles back but leave the overall photo better.
Now just do two more things, especially as you're learning this: first, increase Clarity. Probably a bunch. If faces go too harsh on you with Clarity at a highsetting, and they can in closeup, you may want about a 20-45 on Clarity. Many photos look best with even higher Clarity settings, even 100 for landscapes. Now bump Vibrance up, probably to the left of the Clarity slider, though. Too high a setting on Vibrance makes colors looks cartoonish and fake. Are faces too ruddy or foliage too over-the-top? Back off on Vibrance.
Look at the Histogram one more time and touch up Recovery and Blacks again if needed to get rid of barely reappearing triangles.
I recommend you do not move the following sliders, generally, for 99% of your photos, anyway: Tint (just usually not needed if the camera is doing color balance correctly), and Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation, all of which are ham-handed ways of doing what you do more precisely with the other sliders. About the only time you need Saturation is to move it left with a rare shot that for some reason has too much color especially red even with Vibrance set to 0. (Maybe your camera is set to Vivid.)
Doing these things will make most of your photos look WAY better than hitting Auto Tone. And once you get the hang of it, as I said, you can do each photo in well less than one minute, and you only do this on your keepers, so it doesn't take much time.

  • Captureing Vendor And Manufacturer Details in PLD

    Hello All,
I'm working on PLD for Outgoing Excise Invoice. My Client wants to capture Vendor and Manufacturer details like address and Excise details in PLD. Please help me, wheather its possible to capture this details in PLD.
    Thanks,
    Pratheeviraj.

    Hi Pratheeviraj
You cannot "capture" information in the PLD. The PLD is a reporting feature that allows for changing layouts. Therefore the information the PLD will use, must be defined already in the system and be available to the PLD. I am assuming that you mean you want to add extra information in the layout, if this is so, you can add fields to the layout that are of type database and link to the necessary fields.
The fields will only work if they can relate to another field in the same area. For example, if you have an item code as a field in the rows, then adding the manufacturer from the OITM table will be possible as it will relate to the item code.
My only question will be what the manufacturer and vendor information is that you are referring to. Is this information in standard SAP fields, or user defined fields, or user tables?
Let me know what the source of this information is and we can guide you better on adding them to the PLD layout.
    Kind regards
    Peter Juby

  • File Managers usability and features discussion

I have few questions about file manages that you use. Which are better, and why - what functionalities, UI, usability solutions are important?
Q1. Do you prefer icon list file managers (dolphin, nautilus, thunar) over twin panel list managers (krusader, total commander on windows)?
Q2. Do you like small and simple icons (by default in total commander), or bigger and more detailed (like in krusader by default, and others)?
Q3. What are the biggest bad/unusable features of file managers that you used/use?
Q4. How do you rate "file managers" that also handle other URLs (in tabs for example) ("mini" web browser, network filesystems - FTP, SFTP, SMB, terminal, binary file preview - PDF, images, multimedia files) -- konqueror like apps?

Total commander xp (extendet +many plugins..) - is all in all THE best fm, on linux there is NO one that can be like it..
Tcmd burn ripp combine archive play music audio edit tagname viewing all files taht i needet, multi re-name editing calendar webbroswing, ftp crypting, sorting hell stable, running, proces managing, services manageg and hell more... With that one, then i haved looong time ago winxp.. i didnt needet nothing more just tcmdxp...
Q1. Thunar is only for eye candy just to see oh how nice - for rare usage or show, but not for dayly usage; emelfm, worker, krusader, xfe is more quiqer way to do something... I prefer two panes managers.
Q2. If icons lags opening say directory with couple hunderts+ files, its no use of them. Tcmd is ok.
Its even better to have colorized by fyle type or extension. So i prefer wery small and w.quiqly and clear looking, working, icons but its not necesery.
Q3. Im still cant find - normal fm on linux, many off them just lack of logic, simplyness, compfortnes:
Lets say i take emelfm - point is to create couple hunderts symlinks at once-at one cmd or one push after selecting - it does taht in no time,
lets take as example worker fm - it ask 200times to name those symlinks without any kind off options to automatize this action..... Absurd. Wheres the logic..
This example is most freaquent on almost every linux fm on one way or another for many different actions copy move clone... some event cant manage multiple files at once..
None of linux managers suport hardlinks... I found crusader shity does that in same dir with asking to name it... as mentioned no multi..
Doublecommander makes hardlinks to.. but too in some shit borring way - oh sorry time consuming way .
And i cant say there is manager that have biggest unusable features - cause all off them lacks or have features that other doesnt have.
And those that already are inplemented, are not a stright way to do something. Like some fm's (im talking only about two panes at all in this section, cause i dont use 1window fms) even cant handle multiple symlinkinking at once - i select files but some creates only one link to first in selection file.
And simplyness - some managers pops up for one action - too manny question boxes, with selections like suggesting, check that, chose that - why not to put that in one box of that action..
Q4. Remmeber how fast and nice way is atrl+q on tcmd, and u on one pane quiqly go true files and on other pane it shows-plays-views automaticaly any file, and that does in no time. On linux zero managers do that ! Worker acts something like - for viewing pictures. Mc as console manager to... In emelfm i was able to implement audio files playing true sox..
I dont like qonqueror, way like it shows images is not the same way like i want that in two pane managers.
But after all to your question, i rate wery high. Its just a waist of time to opoening files in external programs - just to preview, "oh its not that one"..
Nice, then u can enter into isos, archives like to in a folder...
I tryed: total commander xp, double commander, xnc, bsc, xfe, df, emelfm, emelfm2, krusader, gnome-commander, worker, gentoo, thunar, pcmanfm, rox, mc, vfu,
I wish a mixed up thing of (totalcommanderxp), emelfm, worker, krusader, xnc, emelfm2, - all to one will be Something..
Damn that emelfm2 is unstable - no use.. i like it, how it works - configured without icons.
Now im exploring/using worker fm, i like the way how it can be configured, its great fm, jsut laks litle bit something there or there, if it will fix evaluate - i think i will stay with it..
krusader is always on my sys - cause its hell stable, i trust on it totaly. Heh but is huge...
emelfm first fm that i found may way, on linux i love it...even if it lacks something.. like multirename.. - its hell fast for dayly usage,
sad sad there is no normal fm, i always must chose one over another to do some things that other fm isnt capable to do in a quiqer way..
in a system is ok to have one windowed manager for eye candy things (like thunar) i have it.. i dont use it.. , and one that is for many files managing

    1. What is EDI invoices, how it reflects in SAP R3 system
Ans: Quite generally, you create an invoice by a normal way, but after this you generate an output (print document) in the form of an IDOC. This IDOC can be sent to the customer. The process is similar to the standard print output of the invoice. The Idoc should be of a message type INVOIC. The function module is IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC.
There is also a self-billing process with the invoice creation. In this case the customer sends the IDOC for himself. This IDOC must be processed via EDI on Sd side, then the SD invoice will be created. To learn this process, please call the function module IDOC_INPUT_SBINV in the transaction SE37 and the press the button "Function Module Documentation". The SBINV process can be realized via EDI only.

    2. What is meant by Explosion in SD?
Ans: It is related to Bill of Material where one parent item is linked with several child items. For creation/edit/display, T-Code is CS01/02/03
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bev461/helpdata/en/f1/0e955bd1a011d49540006097d8f90e/content.htm
    3. What is the usage of configuration nprofile in variant configuration
Ans: configuaration profile is a place where we will configure configurable material (mmk1) with class type 300 and class which u have defined. Here the values of variant characteristics will be stored
    or
a). We use the configuration profile to assign the configurable material to one or more variant classes. This links the material to the characteristics of the class for configuration.
b).You can define settings that affect the display options and scope of characteristics on the
    value assignment screen. (i.e. CU50)
c). You can use the configuration profile to assign dependencies to a configurable object.
d). For maintaining configuration parameters for BOM explosion.
You maintain the configuration parameters for a configurable general maintenance task list in the configuration profile.
The settings that you make here also concern the BOM explosion for the piece of material. In addition, at least one class, whose class type allows variant configuration, must be assigned to each configuration profile. The class contains the characteristics that the system proposes for characteristic evaluation when you create a maintenance or service order.
    4. What do you mean by tickets? Could you please give me some examples of tickets?
Ans: Tickets in SD can be considered as the problems which the end user or the employee in the company face while working on R/3. Tickets usually occur during the implementation or after the implementation of the project.
There can be numerous problem which can occur in the production support and a person who is working in the support has to resolve those tickets in the limited duration, every ticket has the particular deadline alert so your responsibility is to finish it before that deadline.
End user is not able to
    1. Create Sales order for a customer from a New plant, since shipping point determination is not happened. (Without Shipping point the document becomes INCOMPLETE and he will not be able to proceed further like DELIVERY, BILLING).
He raises a ticket and the priority is set in one of the below
    1.Low 2. Medium 3. High.
Now you need to solve this ticket. You would analyze the problem and identify that the SP configuration has to be done for the new plant.
You would request a transport for DEV CLIENT to BASIS. You do the change and Request one more Transport to BASIS for QA client. The End user will test the same by creating a sales order for the new plant and approve it.
Finally u request a transport to move the changes to PRODUCTION.
Once the change is deployed in production the TICKET is closed.
What I have given is a small ex. You would get some real issues with severity HIGH in your day-day support
    1. kofo error?
    2. Defecit in sales order stock?
    3. Pgi is not possible?
    4. Ship conformation is not possible?

    5. What is the difference between sales process and business process?
Ans. Sales Process: is also a business process where in only sales related activities are involved. I.e. for e.g.: sales order, purchase order, etc.,
Business Process: any activity or business event where in business is involved we can those processes as Business Process
BUSINESS PROCESS: Sequentially and logically related series of processes and functions for an internal or external target group to deliver a defined good or service. The R/3 Reference Model provides sample business processes in scenarios as EPCs.
    6. What is the difference between transit time and transportation time
    Ans:
Transit time: time taken by the material to reach customers place. for eg: this is the time period right after the goods have left the shipping point of the business to the customer till the goods are received by the customer at his place..
Transportation time: time taken to schedule the materials by shipping company. For eg: this is the time period right from the material manufacturing to the delivery of the material to the customer.
Transit time: is the time taken by the material to reach customers place.
Transportation time: is the time taken to schedule the materials by shipping company.
    7. What is the difference between free goods and bonus buy?
Ans. Free goods are either inclusive or exclusive if a customer orders for 10 products he will get 1 free for that no price is charged this is exclusive scenario
If a customer orders 10 products he will get 9+1 for 1 product he will not charged this inclusive scenario
For bonus buy if a customer orders regularly 10 products in one occasion if he orders 1000 products he will be given less price than the price he will get for 10 products this bonus buy scenario
    Or
Free goods are considered to be merchandise, moveable belongings or personal property. Free goods are those which economists are not interested in because in free goods doe not offer the opportunity for creating a cost for usage. The best example of free goods is air because there is no scarcity of air. Economists are interested only in goods, which can be manipulated to create cost for usage. Free goods are plentiful; you have as much as you want without a chance for future cost to society.
A bonus buy refers to any product manufactured or otherwise made available for purchase at a lower cost for a certain period of time. A bonus buy can relate to food, cars, stocks, bonds, insurance, bank loans or almost any product you can think of.
Examples of Bonus buys are: buy one and get one free, 20% original price, 15% Reduced Mortgage today.

    8. What is the difference between static and dynamic in credit management
    Ans: Static Credit Limit Check
The customer's credit exposure may not exceed the established credit limit. The credit exposure is the total combined value of the following documents:
    - Open orders
    - Open deliveries
    - Open billing documents
    - Open items (accounts receivable)
The open order value is the value of the order items which have not yet been delivered. The open delivery value is the value of the delivery items which have not yet been invoiced. The open invoice value is the value of the billing document items which have not yet been forwarded to accounting. The open items represent documents that have been forwarded to accounting but not yet settled by the customer.
Dynamic Credit Limit Check with Credit Horizon
The customer's credit exposure is split into a static part; open items, open billing, and delivery values (see above), and a dynamic part, the open order value. The open order value includes all undelivered or only partially delivered orders. The value is calculated on the shipping date and stored in an information structure according to a time period that you specify (days, weeks, or months). When you define the credit check, you can then specify a particular horizon date in the future (for example: 10 days or 2 months, depending on the periods you specify). For the purposes of evaluating credit, you want the system to ignore all open orders that are due for delivery after the horizon date. The sum of the static and dynamic parts of the check may not exceed the credit limit.
Main difference is horizon period is related for dynamic check not for static check
    SIMPLE CREDIT CHECK: Tr.Code - FD32
It Considers the Doc.Value + Open Items.
Doc.Value: Sales Order has been saved but not delivered
Open Item: Sales Order has been saved, Delivered, Billed & Transferred to FI, but not received the payment from the customer.
Eg: Customer Credit Limit is Rs.1,00,000/-
Suppose Doc.Value + Open Item Value is Rs.1,10,000/-
Here credit limit exceeds then system reacts.
    Options: A) Warning Message
    B) Error Message (Sales Order won't be saved)
    C) Error Message with Delivery Block
AUTOMATIC CREDIT CHECK: Give extra credit facilities to the particular customer.
STATIC CREDIT LIMIT DETERMINATION: Checking Group + Risk Catageory + Credit Control Area.
    A) Credit Checking Groups: Types of Checking Groups.
    01) Sales
    02) Deliveries
    03) Goods Issue
At all the above 3 levels orders can be blocked.
    B) Risk Catageory: Based on the risk Categories Company decide how much credit has to give to the customer.
HIGH RISK (0001) : LOW CREDIT
LOW RISK (0002) : MORE CREDIT
    MEDIUM RISK(0003) : Average Credit
Static Credit Check it checks all these doc value & check with the credit limit
    1) Open Doc.Value / Sales Order Value : Which is save but not delivered
    2) Open Delivery Doc.Value : Which is delivered but not billed
    3) Open Billing Doc.Value : Which is billed but not posted to FI
    4) Open Item : Which is transferred to FI but not received from the customer.
DYNAMIC CREDIT CHECK : 1) Open Doc
    2) Open Delivery
    3) Open Billing
    4) Open Items
    5) Horizon Period = Eg.3Months
Here the System will not consider the above 1,2,3& 4 values for the lost 3 months
Then assign the Sales Doc & Del Documents.
    Sales Doc.Type(OR) + credit Check (0) + Credit Group (01)
Credit Limit Check for Delivery Type : Del.Type (LF) + Del Credit
Group (02) + Goods Issue Credit Group (03)
    9. Difference between 4.6 version and 4.6c ,4.7ee
Ans. There are so many differences between the versions in different objects
    1. In the customer master in 4.6 version there is no partner function tab in the customer in xd01 t-code and also there is no CIN tab in that version but it is there in the 4.7 EE version
This is the major change from the 4.6cc to 4.7EE
    2. in 4.7EE there is some settings that are related for CIN which cannot be done in 4.7EE that means they need some patches for doing the configuration setting for the CIN
But we can do the same in the 6.0 versions
These are the some of the settings that are differed in the two versions and in that two objects

    10. Where is rebate define for quantity REBATE
Ans: Following explains how to create a rebate agreement, test it using a sales order and billing it. Then settling it partially or fully using a rebate credit memo. Please use the basic procedure and tweak your IMG settings according to your unique requirements.
    Rebate processing:
    1. First requirement is that the rebate processing must be active for
    a. the customer ( check in customer master) ,
    b. for the billing type ( check in IMG > Billing > rebate processing > active rebate processing > select billing documents for rebate processing. )
    c. For the sales organization:
( check in IMG > Billing> rebate processing > active rebate processing > Active rebate processing for sales org. )
    2. Next create a rebate agreement for this us T-code VB01. For the rebate agreement type you can choose either 0001
(group rebate) or 0002 material rebate or 0003 (customer rebate) etc
    b. Enter your rebate conditions. Don’t forget to enter the accrual rate here.
    3. Now test your rebate functionality: create a sales order for the particular customer, sales org (ensure that the billing type used in your sales order is relevant for rebate). Create outbound delivery, transfer order to do picking and post goods issue.
    4. Now go to T.Code VB03 and check your rebate by choosing conditions, selecting the condition line and choosing payment data. You will see that the accruals and business volume are updated when accounting doc is created for billing.
    5. Settling your rebates:
Once your rebates have been accrued you need to settle the rebate.
For this first release the rebate for settlement by using T.Code VB02. As a trial basis choose B (you can choose other settings based on your requirement) and choose Create manual accrual. Now enter the amount to be paid and save the rebate agreement.
    6. Next display your rebate agreement using T.Code VB03.
Enter your rebate agreement number. Next choose rebate payments > Rebate documents and select partial settlement. Click on the choose button to note down your credit request number.
    7. Use T.Code VA02 and release the billing block for your credit request. (Use item overview tab)
    8. Now use VF01 to create a rebate credit memo by entering the credit memo request number and save it
    9. Now release the credit memo to accounting using vf02.
    Quantity Rebate:
In rebate agreement details we will define the rebate basis whether it is the quantity rebate or volume based rebate.
    Rebate Agreements
A rebate is a special discount which is paid retroactively to a customer. This discount is based on the customer's sales volume over a specified time period.
You can process rebate agreements when the following prerequisite conditions are met:
sales org is relevant for rebate processing
payer (customer master record) is relevant for rebate processing
billing type (invoice, credit memo) is relevant for rebate processing
    Condition types for rebate agreements:
    BO01 – Customer/Material or Customer/Rebate group = % rebate
    BO02 – Customer/Material = quantity dependent
    BO03 – Customer = % rebate
    BO04 - Customer hierarchy = % rebate
    BO05 – Customer hierarchy/Material = % rebate
    BO06 – Sales vol independent
    Creating Rebate Agreements
Logistics Sales and distribution Master data
    Agreements Rebate agreement Create
To create a condition record for a rebate agreement:
When youcreating or changing rebate agreements, Conditions to get to the can create condition records by choosing Goto Agreement Overview screen.
Enter the data necessary to create a condition record (for example: customer and condition rate).
    Choose ENTER.
If you do not enter a value for the accrual rate, the system automatically proposes the value you entered as the condition rate.
To create a pricing scale for a condition record, select the condition record and choose Scales.
To display or change details in a condition record, select the condition record and choose Details.
It is possible to see an overview of condition records that already exist in other rebate agreements and that have the same key combination (customer/material, customer/rebate group, and so on).
To view the list, select Validity periods.
You is to becan set for each rebate agreement whether it Rebate calendar renewed automatically or not. Select Extras Reactivate or Remove in the Change Rebate mode.
Rebate Process with Ref. to SO
Rebate agreemnts is based on agreement types.Conditon records which are created like B001 and B002 are linked to the rebate agreeements specifying the rebate rate + the accrual rates.condition records specify the rebate rate and the accrual rates.
    Consider an example..
You decided to give a rebate of 3% to a customer whose sales vol is $1000 for a particular SO
Then the rebate value is $30..
Now when you make the rebate settlement by doiing the Credit memo and you decide to pay $27, then the accounting will be generated saying 27$ paid towards rebate and 3$ is the accrual which you owe to the customer
    Procedure:
    Rebate agreement: Transaction code: VB01
When you go to VB01, choose agreement type 0002 and then in conditions give
    Material rebate
    1 20
    20 30
Now create a sales order with a material say M-11 for SOrg 1000 12 00 with QTY 6
Now check VB03 and see rebate agreemtent it will say Accruals 120 and payments 0
since your rebate is not settled still.
    Rebate setllement
Go to VB02 enter ur sales deal no, and change the agreemetn status to B then enter Shift+F12 and enter the amount to be paid for example u say $80
Then check in rebate payments rebate doc and partial setllemetn since you have not paid in full.
    View the credit memo request
Remove the Billing bloock Go to VA01 and put order type G2 ,,,go to create with ref and enter ur Sales order no,,,save the doc now...
Then go to VF01 and enter the credit memo reqst no generated...save the doc no and go to VF02 and say release to accounting
Now the final settlement will be this way
    Accruals:120
    Accrual reversed:80
    Rebate pay:80
    Amount payable:40
So the balance 40 is still the accrual
This is an example how a rebate will be processed with ref to a SO with an example.

    12. How can we define sales order (VA01) & scheduling agreement (VA31)
Ans: Sales Order: it’s a reference document for the order placed by the customer with the business. refer the link for more info: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/1d/3117ee84ab1544b0422c84178e52d6/content.htm
    Scheduling Agreement:http://www.sap-img.com/sap-sd/sap-sd-scheduling-agreement-vs-contract.htm
    13. What is gap analysis and when it will be use in the time of project.
Ans: Business blue print stage is called as is process. Fit gap means, before implementing the SAP all the business data is in the form of documents, we cannot keep this data as is in the SAP. There should be a gap. So by filling this gap, we make configuration with the help of these documents. This is called as fit gap analysis. In this stage, we should analysis the gap between as is and is as process
    GAP Analysis
A through gap analysis will identify the gaps between how the business operates ad its needs against what the package can can't do. For each gap there will be one of three outcomes which must be recorded and actioned, GAP must be closed and customized software can be developed close the gap, GAP must be closed but software cannot be written therefore a workaround is required, GAP does not need to be closed.
In simple terms: Gap means small cracks. In SAP world. In information technology, gap analysis is the study of the differences between two different information systems or applications (ex; existing system or legacy system with Client and new is SAP), often for the purpose of determining how to get from one state to a new state. A gap is sometimes spoken of as "the space between where we are and where we want to be." Gap analysis is undertaken as a means of bridging that space.
Actual gap analysis is time consuming and it plays vital role in blue print stage.
    Cut Over Plans
Detailed plans need to be developed for cutting over from the old system(s) to the new. Parallel runs of what will happen over the conversion period using test data, convert and watch for a period after wards to ensure nothing unexpected happens.
    Train Users
Well trained users will support and defend the system on site. Unsupportive users will continually undermine the system and eventually it will be replaced. Therefore the more effort you put into helping the users master the system early the better. Fit gap means, before implementing the SAP all the business data is in the form of documents, we cannot keep this data as is in the SAP. There should be a gap. So by filling this gap, we make configuration with the help of these documents. This is called as fit gap analysis.

Actual gap analysis is time consuming and it plays vital role in blue print stage
The Gaps can differ from company to company. Most commonly, however, missing functionality is industry-specific.
    Examples:
    1. MGM Studios and Lycos sometime back worked with SAP to develop its new intellectual property management and media advertising management functionality, respectively.
    2. A leading Oral care product company wanted the promotion of free-goods where they wanted 'Buy one get 2 different products free'.
2 gaps are, In customer master data the client requirement needs legacy customer number which can be solved with User exit.,
In sales order we need customer Phone number, We can use user exit
These 2 are gaps, which we cant, find in Standard SAP
    1. If client want new field in customer master like nearest fire station..
    2. Order will be uploaded directly with out va01. Through BDC... bcoz lot of orders if they get daily, they can opt these...
Movement type 1 uses when a material have two movement types. Like example 101 and 261. One is incoming raw material and going for production...

Cut Over Plans Detailed plans need to be developed for cutting over from the old system(s) to the new. Parallel runs of what will happen over the conversion period using test data, convert and watch for a period after wards to ensure nothing unexpected happens.
Train Users Well trained users will support and defend the system on site. Unsupportive users will continually undermine the system and eventually it will be replaced. Therefore the more effort you put into helping the users master the system early the better.
This is a part of Second Phase in project implementation
    14. How to get cash sale invoice with rd03 and tell me the process cashsale delivery and invoice please?
    15. What is the difference between rebate and discount?
Ans: Rebate is nothing but this is also a type of discount given by the business but unlike Discount this is not given immediately to the customer, say rebates are given after a certain amount of purchase is reached by the customer, or during a particular period of time, whereas in Discount the customer is benefited by a reduce of bill amount immediately when a purchase is done by the customer.
Rebate is a partial repayment, whereas a refund is a repayment of the total purchase price and Discount is reduction in Price
    Or
Rebate: an incentive to be given to a customer. Clubbed with qty purchased by a customer within the period specified (say one month)-conditional.
Discount: unconditional, to be given to a customer on account of heavy purchase by one single billing. From the price List (Base price).

    Hi,
Please try to install Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 directly and check the result. Service Pack 1 for Windows Server 2008 R2 includes all the
previous released Windows Updates and hotfixes.
If it does not work, you will need to copy these files from another working Windows Server 2008 R2 system to replace the corrupt ones.
Otherwise, you will need to perform an In-Place upgrade to repair the system.

  • Job, Supervisor field and Table details - Urgent please

Need to document fuctional/technical specs to extract <b>Job</b> and <b>Supervisor</b> field details in OM. I am trying to understand what is the Table and field for these Objects / data elements ?
<b>Is it T513-STELL for job or is it HRP1000?
What about Supervisor -- what is the Table and field where employee's Supervisor data is stored? .</b>
    Really appreciate any input.

T513 is not always in sync with HRP1000. For Jobs, I would prefer to look up the Table HRP1000 with OTYPE = 'C'.
Regarding, the other part of your question, the supervisor details are actually on the PA side.. you can use the function call RH_GET_LEADER.

  • I've read similar questions and answers, but I am still terrified to upgrade from leopard to snow leopard. The only reason I want to is because I received an iPad which requires an updated system. I have an external hard drive. I have the disks to upgrade

I've read similar questions and have studied the answers, but I am still terrified to upgrade from leopard to snow leopard on my macbook pro. The only reason for doing it is in order to sync my macbook pro with my iPad. I do have an external drive which automatically backs up every hour. BUT.......I am techno-ignorant as well as techno-paranoid. I have the disks to update to snow leopard but knowing doing so may likely change/alter/lose/obliterate my current set-up, it actually makes me feel sick to think of it.
Years ago when updating via Apple Protection Plan tech support, my screen actually went blank, everything gone! The tech told me not to worry, that "we" would be able to restore things, but several hours later I was still looking at a primitive looking screen that wasn't anything like what I had before. His language was too technical, in that there was an assumption I understood things I had zero understanding of. Example: partition my external drive.
Anyway, living hundreds of miles from an Apple service provider, and no Apple techs in my community, I had to wait for a trip to an Apple Store where one of the wonderful guys at the genius bar spent a ton of time getting things back to normal and actually explaining it enough that I had a vague understanding.
So now I am in the predicament again and won't know what to do after installing the new disks and finding a likely mess or absence of documents etc. on my computer. I don't know how to access the external drive, and even if I did I wouldn't know how to move stuff from that to my computer.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm in the same boat as you, I've used Mac's since day one and neglected my Windows education and now it has come to haunt me as I have to learn it like a school kid.
Nearly 99% of all businesses and nearly 95% of everyone use Windows, Steve Jobs declared "The desktop wars are over, Microsoft won" a long time ago.
By 2015 tablets are going to be selling to consumers more than traditional computers, your living proof, you got a iPad.
Apple has already discontinued the Xserver, the Xraid, the MacBooks and the 17" Macbook Pro.
Apple has introduced BootCamp in OS X 10.6 and up, this allows a partition and drivers so one can install Windows on a Mac.
    https://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
Why do you think they named it "BootCamp"
You can't run a older OS X version longterm like you have with 10.5 anymore, Mac's are being targeted for attacks and older OS X versions are dropped for security updates.
In fact your Mac might still be part of the 750,000 Mac strong Flashback botnet or infected.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trojan_BackDoor.Flashback
    http://arstechnica.com/apple/2012/04/how-to-check-forand-get-rid-ofa-mac-flashba ck-infection/
See here, Apple has no security updates for 10.5 users and soon 10.6 is going to be ignored next.
    https://support.apple.com/kb/ht1222
1-1.5 years is the OS X upgrade cycle. Change everytime like it or not.
So I'm thinking about your long term future and how you obviously don't like change, need local assistance like it appears you first claimed.
So buy a new Mac and upgrade your OS X version whenever Apple shows it in AppStore.
When your machine can no longer upgrade to the newest OS X version, then you've got about another 2 more years of security updates before you have to buy a new machine or risk running a insecure one.
Learn here how to go about fixing your own machine and creating backups/bootable clones this way your not having to drive several hundred miles for a software or boot drive repair. Simply reverse clone your troubles away.
    Most commonly used backup methods
    https://discussions.apple.com/community/notebooks/macbook_pro?view=documents
I'm of the maturity and experience that I know a Mac isn't always the best solution for everyone and even Apple doesn't provide the proper hardware, support or features for everyone. Why only store locations in high traffic ritzy areas?
Our SteveJobs fan here is under 18 years old with good eyes, he's not older like we are with bad or failing eyesight.
The new Mac's  have hard to see glossy screens and the type/UI can't be scaled up easily to accomadate our older eyes, however a Windows 7 machine does allow up to 150% scale of the UI, type etc., and also there are anti-glare screen PC's and just about no more anti-glare screen Mac's.
I wrote this User tip in case you have trouble seeing the screen, at least you can scale the web browsing up
Web browsing for hard of seeing users
Apple might still be selling the anti-glare 15" non-retina on their online store, it's the "high resolution/anti-glare model"
But I can get a 17" 1080i HD anti-glare Windows 7 laptop at Sager for a lot more performance and screen size for the price than a Mac.
    https://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=category_browse&selected_cat=2
Screen size is important as the UI and text can be scaled up for easier reading.
Of course you do now have the option of having Windows pre-installed alongside OS X to begin your transition to the dark side.
