Questions on putting hp dv6000 parts in hp ze2000

I have a hp dv600 laptop that the motherboard had went out on. but the ram and hard drive and other items are still in good shape. i recently came across the ze2000 for 100 bucks and thought possibly i could put the parts in the older computer. off bat i see the pins dont match upwith the hard drive when i try to straight place it in and the ram doesnt fit.
im wondering is there adapters for these issues?
Can i remove the housing of the hard drive and move the dv6000 into the ze2000?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Other than put disc in you don't give much info about what you've done. With the install disc inserted restart your Mac while holding the C key, that should start it up from the install disc. Should also work fine with a wireless Apple keyboard.

A simple question about putting something into a double

Hi, I am trying to write a program that takes a numerical form of the date (IE. 1/31 or 4/22) and have to output it so that is says January 31, or March 22. My question is, is it possible to put that into an array or a double, and ignore the /? I have it set up so it works as a string, but I can't figure out how to do it with a double.

That works, but I want to be able to break up the string 2/22 and store the 2 in an int, and the 22 in an int. I can't figure out how to do it. I figured out how to store a single number, like the first 2. What I did is use the charAt command on the string, and then typecast it into a int, but how would you do it for the 22, or and 11 and such?
for the record, here is how i did the char thing.

GUI scripting question -am I sunk? Part 2

Hi all,
I am trying to get two apps that have no Applescript dictionary entries to respond to an Applescript I am writing. I want to first bring up an audio app, then bring up a transcripting app and pass to this second app the new audio filename the first app created.
I've got the script to bring up the audio app, create the new audio file, run a couple of Perl scripts to grab the new audio filename and pass it back to Applescript and start the second app.
I can't get the second app to respond to anything but activate in Applescript. When I try to get a menu item selected, or clicked, either nothing happens, or the transcript app pops up an error window w/ the message "Nil Object Exception" which is bad.
I also tried using PreFab's UI Browser to get the same menu action I want to execute by pressing the "Perform" button in the UI Browser. Nothing happens in that case as well.
Here's the code snippet in question:

The boolean variable InqScribeUp is defined earlier in the script.
When the above script is executed nothing happens.

I get the "Nil Object Exception" error from the transcript app InqScribe.
When I try using the "Perform" button in the UI Browser on the first audio app, the audio app does respond fine.
Am I now really stuck if the second app doesn't even respond to UI Browser's "Perform"?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Budgie,
The try block didn't work for me. I tested further and found I needed a sleep command between running the Perl scripts and bringing up InqScribe. The need to wait may be because I'm testing on an old PM G4 dual 867MHz machine, not a newer multi-GHz CPU.
Anyway, after putting in a sleep 20 in the second Perl script (which I "think I can reduce to 7-9), I was able to get the dialog window "Select a Media File" to be displayed upon sending InqScribe the shortcut key for that dialog window. I tried the "click ..." statement but no go, InqScribe didn't respond. Sending InqScribe the sortcut key event did work for some reason.
To complete the loop, I need to select a specific audio file in the dialog window "Select a Media File". By using the UI Browser, I've narrowed the statement I need to:
select static text NewFile of group TrxFileCount of list 1 of scroll area 5 of scroll area 1 of browser 1 of group 1 of window "Select a Media File"
where NewFile is a string variable containing the name of the latest audio file just created, and TrxFileCount is an integer with the value of the no. of files in the folder where the audio files for the app are located.
I now get an error from SystemEvents: NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4, which I take to mean SystemEvents can't find the static text element I'm trying to select.
Should I try to "set" the value of the static text element instead? Or "select" it via it's position on the screen?
Here's my code snippet so far:

Quick question regarding "put" function on Dreamweaver CS5:

I hope you'll bear with me. I've inherited a website that uses CS5, and was given instructions...ambiguous at best...about updating the site. In the past, I'm told (using CS3) the process was simply to update a template, save the template on our server, and "put" the page onto our site. I've done the same, and in "previewing" the website, my updates appear correct.
The only problem is the "put" function, or more specifically the lack thereof. Under "site," there is a "put" function, but it is greyed out (and Ctrl + Shift + U is likewise fruitless). Might anyone have a suggestion or two for how to get around this? I'd be hugely appreciative.

In order to upload files to remote server, the site needs to be properly defined in DW CS5.
In CS3, go to Site > Manage Sites and Export the site definition settings .ste file to a safe place on your hard drive. Close CS3.
Open CS5, go to Site > Manage Sites > Import.

Question on putting audio waveform inside a video clip

Hi,
I have a animation which I would like to modify by addiing an audio waveform to. Basically its just like having a robot speaking and not only do you hear the audio, but you see the audio as well.
Is there a way in FCP to import an existing animation, and take a video image of the waveform of the audio track and put it in the video and then output the whole thing?
have seen this done before, so am certain there must be a way...

The easiest way that I know of is to shoot the display of an oscilloscope with the audio that you want to use being fet into it. There are a few shareware/freeware O-scope programs available for the mac that will take the input from the audio in of your mac. Try versiontracker or tucows for the software. You may also do a screen capture during this process rather than shooting the screen.

Question for putting video on Ipod?

So I have a video Ipod. Shouldn't Apple supply software for this task? Most video has to be changed over to Mpeg4 to work anyways..right? I found my Tivo files must be "transcoded" over to Mpeg4 to work. I tried the Catalyst trial software which does great but does cost $25.00!

Apple doesn't supply much video conversion software. There is a basic conversion function in iTunes itself (Advanced>Convert for ...) but nothing terribly sophisticated. I suspect, this is, in part due to the fact that there are legal issues surrounding the conversion of commercial DVDs to an iPod/iTunes friendly format (breaking the encryption, a necessary first step in copying them, is illegal in the U.S.), Apple just wants to stay clear of a lot of that. Also, Apple primarily makes software for machines running it's own operating system. Quicktime Pro has more conversion options but I don't know if there is a Windows version. If there were, it would be about $29.99.
There are free or lower cost options for video conversion. They'd probably pop up with a quick Google search.

Newbie question with puts/gets

I'm having trouble getting put and gets to work. Right now I do an insert into the DB (returns 0) with data in the data.data fields and then when I get it I always get empty space. I was hoping that someone might be able to help. Here is the two snippets of code that I'm using:

Question about putting video clips together

I am trying to put clips together in Premier Elements 12 using Windows 7 Professional. I keep getting an error message: "This thype of file is not supported or the required codec is not installed."
I admit that the clips are mostly jpeg and Flip video. I have installed the Flipshare software on the computer. What can I do to put these clips together? I saw an answer that mentioned exporting the BBB.prel Timeline to an appropriate file saved to the computer hard drive and then import that file into AAA.prel, using AAA.prel's Add Media/Files and Folder/Project Assets from where you drag the import to the Expert workspace Timeline to join the AAA.prel content already there.
But I don't know how to export, and what is an "appropriate file"?

We need more information in order to resolve your issue.
Are you saying that you cannot import even .jpeg photos into your Premiere Elements 12 Windows project...and your Flip video as well?
a. Were these jpeg processed in Photoshop? Do you know if they have the CMYK color profile? What are their pixel dimensions (width and height in pixels)?
b. What is the brand/model/settings of the camera producing the Flip video?
With the above information we can get at the media and program compatibility issue(s) that might be triggering the message "This type of file is not supported or the required codec is not installed."
You say that you have installed "Flipshare software" to your computer. What do you intend to do with it? If you are thinking to use it to convert the problem files into another format that Premiere Elements will accept, we still need to know the properties of what you are working with and set Premiere Elements accordingly.
The concept of using content from one Premiere Elements project file into another Premiere Elements project file does not apply to the situation that you describe for your issue.
You need to describe what you have for media and then we can proceed from there.
The brand/model/settings for the camera that produced the Flip video is a good start.
MediaInfo and gspot are programs to get at the properties of your video. But the brand/model/settings information may be all that we need.

Incredible Calendar Question-Automatically puts in Birthdates/Contacts

Hello, I came from a Blackberry Storm 9530. Within a Blackberry if I entered a Birthday or an Anniversary it would automatically be logged into my Calendar; unless I'm mistaken I cannot find a way to do this with the Incredible; am I correct? Sure I can go in and add events for "everyone" but that takes too long LOL. So if the default Calendar doesnt work; is there a android calendar app that does?
Again if I have dates incorporated to my cell phone contacts; I'm trying to find a way to sync or import the dates from contacts to "automatically" add them to my Calendar; thanks

Sorry for the long delay. Yes I have done extensive searches for Calendar applications and could not find any that did this either. So I basically took the long 20min + and added re occuring events, birthdays, anniversaries at google.com and under Calendar. I was so trying to avoid it but couldnt. Thank you anyways though. Once I put all events in, I did find a decent Calendar Widget (CalWidget) that suited my needs

Question on putting/registering all XSd at one place

I need to have one common location for all XSD used for project. So what is the right way to put on server and access from there instead of adding in all project physically.
I have AIA XSD files like LocationEBO.xsd, LocationEBM.xsd and all core components xsd files.
Now my ESB and ABCS services are based on these xsd. If i use them and put physically on project location i get duplicate namespace error, As i can have one namespace for one server.
So i think there should be some way to deploy all xsd at common location then access them from there?
Please provide information.
