Quetsion about loading data from transactional infocube

Hi,
We have 4 transaction infocubes where the users data will be saved from their layouts and we have one more transaction infocube(A) where all these 4 transactionl data will saved to onecube say(A)
We also load from A- to other basic cube(B).
My questions are when
1.I load from All these 4 trnsactional cube to A - Do I need to say transactional can be planned not loading allowed.
2.When I load from A to b(basic cuvbe do I need to say - Planning cannot be allowed only laoding)

If you want to load data from planning cubes to further data target using update rules or transformation, their requests need to be green (yellow request would not load further). In this case the target transactional cube should be in loading mode. If you do not want to do these things, you can look at using a copy planning function (but remember that planning function takes more time than BW loading - this difference would be really noticeable if the data volume is large).

    Hi guys....i try to load data from an infocube to other infocube.....i generated the infosource for export without problems i can visulize the datasource in my BW System assigned well...but how i can run the extraction from one infocube into the other?
    I view that in ODSs there's an option to run load of data into datatargets but in the infocube i can´t find this option......
    is there anything else to do?

    The Infosurce and Datasource was linked automatically i can see this in Source System Myself but i can´t see it  in Infosources Tab and i can´t create a Infopackage....that´s my problem

  • How to load data from one Infocube to another request by request using DTP

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario where we are maintaining backup Infocube B for Infocube A.  User loads data from a flat file many times a day in different requests.  We need to maintain backup of the Infocube A on weekly basis.  i.e data to be refreshed with delta update from cube A to cube B.  There are some situations where user deletes some of the requests in Infocube A randomly after use.  Will this change effect in back up cube B when performed data refresh from cube A to cube B.  i.e. this functionality is similar to reconstruct in BW 3.5.  Now we are running on BI 7.0 SP 9.
    Can anyone answer this ASAP.

    You cannot load request by request, " Get Data By Request " DTP loads request by request on " First In First Out " basis. You can run some Pseudo/Fake DTP's if you dont want to load data from a particular request.
    If the user deletes a request from Cube A, it wont be loaded to Cube B but if it is already loaded in Cube B and later the user deletes the request from Cube A you have to delete the request frm Cube B. Inorder to monitor request by request run DTP with   " Get Data By Request set.

    i have been trying to load data from a consolidation infocube of one BW system to a similar infocube in another BW system
    I managed to load data by identifying the fist system as the source system
    the challenge that i m facing is as follows
    the first infocube has approx 70000 records; while when i uploaded the data approx only 20000 records got updated
    would appreciate help on why this has happened

       Are you using Open hub interface?
       If yes, then the structure/datamodel of the two infocubes are same?
       If both the infocubes are having the same structure, then did you apply any transformation (custom)logic,selection field values in the infospoke definition ?
       If the all the above are true, then do check the the status overview of the executed infospokes grouping by logical target system, destination, infospoke and day.
       And also double click to access single request log and then drill down to record count and errors.

         Message no. R3005
    Diagnosis

    Procedure
         In the Administrator Workbench of the Business Information Warehouse,
         update the metadata for this source system, and delete the InfoPackages
         belonging to InfoSources that no longer existing ."
    But,the InfoSource 8ZPA_0022 is not problem,how can I do？thanks.

    Hi,
    as suggested by the message, did you update the meta data by doing a replication of datasources for the source system 'myself'? If not, do so and reactivate the communication structure. Then reload.

  • Loading data from APO-BW cube into DP planning area

    Hello,
    Please explain to me how to load data from an infocube within APO into the DP planning area.  So far, I generated the data mart, created the update rules for the DP planning area (cube) and replicated data sources.  The problem that I am having is that when I create the infopackage, there is no data targets on the data target tab.  How can I get the data targets to display?  All the other actions appear to be set up correctly (confirmed by BW experts).  Can data be loaded from an APO-BW cube directly to the DP planning area cube?

    Hi James,
    Loading of data from an InfoCube to a Planning Area is done using transaction /SAPAPO/TSCUBE (program /SAPAPO/RTSINPUT_CUBE). You just specify the InfoCube, target Planning Area, Selection condition, Infocube Key Figure to PA KF mapping, etc).
    Have you tried this transaction already?

  • Loading data from .csv file into existing table

    I have taken a look at several threads which talk about loading data from .csv file into existing /new table. Also checked out Vikas's application regarding the same. I am trying to explain my requirement with an example.
    I have a .csv file and I want the data to be loaded into an existing table. The timesheet table columns are -
    timesheet_entry_id,time_worked,timesheet_date,project_key .
    The csv columns are :
    project,utilization,project_key,timesheet_category,employee,timesheet_date , hours_worked etc.
    What I needed to know is that before the csv data is loaded into the timesheet table is there any way of validating the project key ( which is the primary key of the projects table) with the projects table . I need to perform similar validations with other columns like customer_id from customers table. Basically the loading should be done after validating if the data exists in the parent table. Has anyone done this kind of loading through the APEX utility-data load.Or is there another method of accomplishing the same.
    Does Vikas's application do what the utility does ( i am assuming that the code being from 2005 the utility was not incorporated in APEX at that time). Any helpful advise is greatly appreciated.

    you could build a function which is able to generate a list of koordinates from your geometry.
    The file generated will be a character-separated list.
    This list will be generated by using a simple select statement like this:

    Hi Friends,
    I am trying to load data from DataSource to InfoCube/DSO through DTP and getting the following error:
    Exception in substep: Extraction completed
    Processing terminated
    Data package 1 / 30.04.2009 22:38:30 / Status 'Processed with Errors'
    When i see the detail message it says:
    Syntax error in routine "convert_to_applstru", line 25 of generated program"
    I checked all my transformation and looks ok. I was able to load data earlier and i getting this error all of sudden. Does some one know what is this routine "convert_to_applstru" ?

    I am trying to load data from ODS to Infocube  thru Update ODS data into data target. My requirement was to take a small subset of fields from ODS and design IC and load the data.
    My load fails at Extraction process as I get 0 records from total number of records sent in each package. Please let me know if you need more information.

    if its SD(for example)
    steps>>
    1>In AWB goto "business content"
    2> goto "Info provider"
    3>Under infoarea select SD cubes
    4> Drag related cubes and ODS to right panel
    5> Set the grouping option "In Data flow before&afterwards"
    6>Install the collected objects
    Go to R/3
    7> Use Tcode RSA5 Transfer all regarding SD module datasources
    Goto BW
    8> Right click on the source system "Replicate datasources"

    I'm having a problem loading data from the PSA to the InfoCube.
    I'm using a DTP for this process but is happening the following error:

         Number and the name of the rule Which produced the error
    Procedure for System Administration
    Have already created new DTP's deactivate and reactivate the InfoCube, the transformation, but solves nothing.
    Does anyone have any idea what to do?

    Is it a flat file load or loading frm any data source?
    try to execute the program GP4KMDU7EAUOSBIZVE233WNLPIG 718 in Se38 and check if its active and no syntax errors are there.
    Check the mapping of the fileds in transformations weather
    some data fileds are mapped to decimal or char 32 filed is mapped to Raw 16
    or calweek, calmonth mapped to calday etc.
    Check in St22 if there any short dumps ..

    data loading in BI 7.0 from fla file means
    fisrt create one Cube or DSO with the same structure which you have in flatfile..and activate it.. ->now comes to Datasource tab> create one Datasource here you need to select type of data for example..
    select Transactional data --> and menntion your flatfile name in extraction tab- and file type and eneter your info object names in FIELDS tab -->
    and load preview data Activate it..
    now select your datasource and create info package and schedule it..
    now your data will loded in to PSA level...----> and now comes to info provider select your cube.. and right clcik it..
    and create transformations.,. and activate it..----> and create DTP -- Activate it.. and Execute it..
    1)Create datasource. Here u can set/check the Soucre System fields.
    2)Create Transformation for that datasource. (no more update rules/transfer rules)
    2.1) While creating transformation for DS it will ask you for data target name, so just assign where u want to update ur data.
    DataSource -> Transformation -> (DTP)-->Data TargetNow if you want to load data into data target from Source System Datasource:
    1) Create infopackage for that data source. If you are creating infopackage for new datasources, it will only allow you update upto PSA, all other options u can see as disabled.
    2)Now Create DTP (Data Transfer Process) for that data source.
    3) NOw schdule the Infopackage, once the data is loaded to PSA, you can execute your DTP which will load data to data target.
    Data Transfer Process (DTP) is now used to load data using the dataflow created by the Transformation.
    Here's how the DTP data load works:
    1) Load InfoPackage
    2) Data gets loaded into PSA (hence why PSA only is selected)
    3) DTP gets "executed"
    4) Data gets loaded from PSA into the data target once the DTP has executed

  • Loading data from infocube to datastore

    Hello,
    we migrate from 3.1 to 2004s and we are testing our old process chain.
    In one chain we load data to a datastore, from the datastore to an infocube and finally from the infocube to an other datastore. Data are loading fom datastore to infocube but the loading from infocube to final datastore don't work (it finish correctly, but there no data transfered).
    I know that with 2004s i need to use transformation and DTP to load data from an infoprovider to another one.
    But is it still possible to use the old method or do i need to change. For the moment we just want to change nothing if it's possible ?

    Hi,
    The "old" method can still be fully applied in BI 7.0
    As far as the data in the ODS, can you post the eeror you are getting, or the data simply doesn't activate? (In that case, include a process for ODS data Activation in your chain, and you will be fine).
