Queue Table = Queue Mapping

As i understand it, having a queue table of same object type as the queue gives benefit of message peeking, better auditing & debugging capabilities. Does this mean if i modify the object type to add/drop a column, i need to drop/recreate the queue table ?
Other approach could be to use RAW or XMLTYPE as payload. Here many queues could map to one queue table.
What are key design criterion or pros/cons in choosing one of these approaches ? Any guidelines or best practices in this regard ?

XMLTYpe queues - this will solve the problems you listed above. However, in 9.0 - you have to create an ADT with an embedded XMLType to use these.
In 9.2 - you can create the queue table with SYS.XMLTYPE payload

  • CoS/DSCP to queue mapping in Cat 3750

    Hi..
Cat 3750 supports mapping of CoS to queue as well as mapping DSCP to queue.
WOuld like to understand which one will the switch use when actually placing packets in the queue..
    thanks
    Eng Wee

My apologies, that was not a very good explanation :-)
    Here is what really happens:
    - when a frame is received on a port, the switch maps the CoS or DSCP in the packet to a QoS label to distinguish one kind of traffic from another. If the port is set to trust CoS, the CoS value is used to generate the QoS label. If the port is set to trust DSCP, the DSCP value is used to generate the QoS label.
    - The QoS label that is generated identifies all future QoS actions to be performed on this packet.
    - when the packet is switched to the egress interface, an output queue is selected based on the QoS label. If the QoS label was based on DSCP, the DSCP-to-queue mapping is used. If the QoS label was based on CoS, the CoS-to-queue mapping is used.
Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

  • How to use error table in mapping level?

    Hi all
Any one please tell me how to use error table in mapping level or how to handle the errors in mapping.
I am creating one error table in oracle but i dont know how to use it in mapping.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
You need to use Error Table along with the Data Rule .
Error tables are used with Logical error handlers (Data Rules). Detailed description on using data rules is explained in the following document
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/warehouse/pdf/OWB10gR2_ETLandBusinessRules.pdf
In a nut shell usage of error tables is as follows.
    1. Create a data rule associate it with a table (Target table or table in which you load data).
    2. Use the table in a mapping as target table.
    3. Deploy the table and mapping.
Now in the target schema one more table will be created with the name <target table name>_ERR. When a mapping is executed the data which violates the data rule gets into this error table.
The following has to be done to have error table name of customers choice.
    1. Right click on the table and click configure.
    2. Give the table name in "shadow table name" section.
    3. Deploy the table.
    4. Use this table in a mapping. Now in the mapping on this table properties in "Error Table Name" section the name of the table specified in "shadow table name" will be populated.
    Thanks,

  • How to Access Table Space Map in Oracle 10g OEM

How and from where to Access Table Space Map in Oracle 10g OEM ??
    Thanks

    Hi,
first of all, the online help system of grid control is outstanding. Just click on Help in the upper right corner and enter "Tablespace Extent Map" in the search form.
    Result:
    Show Tablespace Contents Page
Each Oracle database is divided into one or more logical units called tablespaces. You can use Oracle Enterprise Manager to manage these tablespaces and create or modify the parameters for the tablespaces. Use the Tablespace property sheet to set general and storage information for the specified tablespace.
Use the Show Tablespace Contents page to display the list of tablespace segments that comprise the existing tablespace. You can display Tablespace Extents by choosing Show Tablespace Extent Map at the bottom of the page. An extent is a logical unit of database storage space allocation made up of a number of contiguous data blocks. One or more extents in turn make up a segment. When the existing space in a segment is completely used, Oracle allocates a new extent for the segment.
You can view segment extents by clicking on the link in the Extents column to display the Extents in Segments page.
You can display the Show Tablespace Contents page by choosing Show Tablespace Contents from the command drop down list on the Tablespace property page, the Tablespace View page, or the Tablespace search results page.
Note: Developers could only display the tablespace map to a maximum hard coded number of 30,000 extents. Tablespaces are often larger than that. If a tablespace is larger than 30,000 extents, the portion over that is displayed as Unmapped. To avoid exceeding the memory capacity of the tablespace map and to display the map without unmapped extents, use a search criteria displaying results of less than 30K extents.
For an overview of tablespaces, see the "Overview of Tablespaces " chapter of the Oracle Database Concepts Guide.
For more information about managing tablespaces, see the " Managing Tablespaces" chapter of the Oracle Database Administrators Guide.
For more information about managing datafiles, see the " Managing Datafiles and Tempfiles" chapter of the Oracle Database Administrator's Guide.

  • Table source, mapped column, result list

    Hi!
I need to show in result list some field from my table (orderNo).
Each row in table is an order item, with content column (orderInfo) which I intrested to indexing.
But when I map orderNo column (I forced to map because without it I can't operate with orderNo in XSLT search result) to search attribute in table column mapping this column became searchable and this is bad for me because of search colision...
So my question is - howto show column in result list, but avoid this column to be searchable ?
    Thanks!

This is the default behavior. All columns indexed, including the CONTENT column, are included in a FT search. The CONTENT column becomes the cache link.
If you are using a custom UI, you could build your custom search using Filters and custom search attributes. Since you are using the out-of-the-box search, the only thing I can think of is to use the Attribute Selection, select ONLY the attribute(s) you want to search, and then execute your search.
If you do not want to force the user to use a look-up, you can use the FT short cut search attribute syntax of "SEARCH_ATTRIBUTE_NAME:VALUE"... so if your attribute name/column name is "orderNo" your search syntax would be "orderNo:12345" where 12345 is the order number you are looking for. This will save users from having to open the dialog.
FYI - You might be able to default "orderNo:" in the search box by tweaking the URL.
    Hope this helps.

  • MTL Table name mapped with IC_ITEM_MST_B in oracle apps r12

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone suggest me the MTL table name mapped with IC_ITEM_MST_B table in oracle apps with all the columns.
    thanks,

Response to: I don't see this option "Periodic Sequences in Format" under "Payment Instruction Format" table. I can see only Payment File Information.
You are maybe missing this (from Implementation Guide):
"Note: If no payment system is selected or entered for the Payment
System field in the Payment System subtab of the Update Payment
Process Profile page, then the Periodic Sequences in Format region is
    not displayed."
The payment system must be selected at the time you create the profile. It does not seem to allow adding afterwards.

  • Internal assignment table that maps the ERP & CRM Partner ID's

    Hello Experts,
    In CRM-ISU integration,
If we are maintaining different number range, in which table its maintaining the details of both Business PartnerID's
or how they link each other?
In one document i read this statement.
"There is always an internal assignment table that maps the ERP business partner ID to the corresponding CRM business partner to ensure a consistent data exchange."
    thanks in advance,
    Sreejith

    HI,
In CRM there is a table BUT0ID which stores the ERP business partner ID as ID Number against CRM business partners.
Pass the CRM BP in the Business partner field to get the ERP BP number in the ID number field.

  • TABLE NOT MAPPED.

    Hello all,
I am facing a problem which extracting data thro' EJBQL,
when ever I try this, I get an exception TABLE NOT MAPPED.
Can anyone tell me what exactly is not mapped. Although I am able to store the data in the database thro' EntityManager.persist(Object) method.
I am using jboss-4.0.5 (Hibernate for persistence) and Oracle 9i.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Varun Narang.

    HI Jyotika,
This usually happens when you have a lookup table which has more than one display field. You get this error because you have to create an Compound field, which might not be set in the map. In order to create a Compound filed just check wether all the individual fields in the destinations field BankDetails<X,Y,Z>(X,Y,Z are individually mapped) then just right click in any portion on the source fields and select compound filed's, it creates a Bank details field and automatically maps it to the destination fields. Some times it also maps the values; if not you got to manually map it.
I you have any problem please let me know.

  • Physical table name - abstract table name mapping in CMP Bean

    Hello,
I am using a EJB 2.x bean deployed on a SJSAS 9 server. EJB has problem associating the EJB to the actual table

    EJB name: AccountCMP
    Actual tablename : account
    Error
    ejb store called
    IM: postInvokeentity3.AccountBean145996470_ConcreteImpl@d6be89

Please note that the insert statement has the ejb-name (I think so, as my CMP EJB is called ACCOUNTCMP) instead of the actual tablename (account).
I do have the account.dbschema file and sun-cmp-mappings.xml in the NB 5.5 project, but the mappings.xml file is not included in the jar by NB. Is that expected, or an problem.

<abstract-schema-name>account</abstract-schema-name>  Thank you for your help.

    Hello,
I found out the issue. sun-cmp-mappings.xml file is mandatory, and dont know why, netbeans excludes this file from the jar. I had to edit project.properties file to negate this exclusion.
Another problem was that my table did not have a primary key (and hence by schema file did not have it also). CMP bean code generator did not like this.
Once I fixed these two problems, my CMP started working fine.
    Thank you all

  • Error in updating the source table in mapping

    Hi All,
I have a mapping in which I am fetching records from a table A, performing some expression logic and then using a Splitter operator to update my target table Bas well as update one of the columns of my source table A(to indicate that record has been processed). When I execute the mapping, updation of target table B works, but updting my source table A does nt work and the job completes succesfully?
Can somebody please help me to debug this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Please check the splitter condition for the two groups that you have set. This might be a case where you have put such a condition in splitter that all the record sets are going to the target table and none are going to the source table. Therefore the source table is not getting updated by any record.

  • OBIEE 10g repository - Business model - logical table to physical table, column mapping is empty

Hi, I am really new to OBIEE 10g.
I already set up a SQL Server 2005 database in Physical and import a view vw_Dim_retail_branch.
    The view has 3 columns: branch_id, branch_code, branch_desc.
Now I want to set up the Business model to map this physical table (view).
I created a new Business model
    Added new logical table Dim_retail_branch
In the sources, added the vw_Dim_retail_branch as source table.
But in the Logical table source window,  column mapping tab, it's blank. I thought it should be able to identify all the columns from vw_Dim_retail_branch, but not. The show mapped columns is ticked.
What should I do here? Manually type each column?

    HI,
Just you can drag and drop the columns from physical layer to BMM layer.
Select the 3 columns and drag and drop it to the created logical column in BMM layer.

  • How to build a query to join on two tables without mapping

I did Automatic mapping by the workbench Directofield mapping with the table and java object.
Wanted to build a simple join query by joining on the same field on both the tables. Not the sql query through the toplink using expression builder.
    Please help.............
Spent one full day for this................

Thanks Don for the reply, sorry to bug you,but i need help.....
    SELECT A.AGNCY_C,
         A.TYPE_C,
         A.RESN_C,
         A.S_TYPE_C,
         A.SUB_ID_C,
         A.RY_C
    FROM RATING A, REF B
    WHERE A.ID_C = B._ID_C
    AND A.ALPHA_C = B.ALPHA_C
    AND A.EFF_D >= B.MATURITY_D
This is the real query i was talking about.I did mapping automatically through the workbench, generated java classes also throught the workbench.
Now they don't want to execute the raw sql. They wanted to get all the RATING objects with the where condition.
So how to build a query by using toplink.
    tried your example
    ExpressionBuilder builder = new ExpressionBuilder();
    Expression creditRating = builder.getTable("RATING").getField("ID_C");
    Expression issue_ref = builder.getTable("REF").getField("ID_C");
    Expression join = creditRating.equal(issue_ref);
    I am getting java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
    error.
I selected the option generate classes and descriptors
from the tables (RATING,REF).,so it created the classes and dscriptors automatically.
In Database script for the table RATING like this
    ALTER TABLE RATING ADD (
    CONSTRAINT RATING_F1 FOREIGN KEY (ID_C, ALPHA_C)
    REFERENCES REF (ID_C,ALPHA_C));
I think when i generate descriptor automatically it is keeping this association.
    Please help me.........

  • Change the DB_LOCATION of a Table in Mapping after Copying it

    Hello!
Does anybody know how to change the property DB_LOCATION for table in a mapping after copying it to another modul withhin the same project with OMB PLUS.
After copying the mapping all objects still points to the old objects in the repository. But this objects are now in the wrong module. I have the same repository objects also in the new module and i want to change the mapping operator to point to the objects in the new module.
In the mapping editor you achieve this by reconciling the mapping object with the new object in the other module. How can i do this with OMB PLUS?
    Thanks in advance
    Alexander
    Edited by: user13336549 on 14.09.2010 07:40

    Hi Alexander
After copying a table to a different module, edit the module to set the data location, configure the module to define the location and synchronize the mapping to use this table.
In OMB to synchronize inbound and outbound use OMBSYNCHRONIZE command
    Inbound:
OMBSYNCHRONIZE TABLE '$OMB_CURRENT_PROJECT/SALES/TABY' TO MAPPING 'M_W_PARAMS' OPERATOR 'TABY' USE (RECONCILE_STRATEGY 'REPLACE', MATCHING_STRATEGY 'MATCH_BY_OBJECT_NAME')
    Outbound:
OMBSYNCHRONIZE MAPPING 'M_W_PARAMS' OPERATOR 'TABX' TO TABLE '$OMB_CURRENT_PROJECT/SALES/TABX' USE (RECONCILE_STRATEGY 'REPLACE', MATCHING_STRATEGY 'MATCH_BY_OBJECT_NAME')
