Quick B2B installation question

I am integrating with a couple of suppliers. Currently both these suppliers send out files with EDI data using sFTP. Do I still need the OHS setup in DMZ or can the entire SOA suite (including B2B and OHS) remain on the intranet site. Can I assume that I need OHS setup in DMZ only when I receive/send messages over http?

Can I assume that I need OHS setup in DMZ only when I receive/send messages over http?I do not think so. OHS can be used to make connection to any server (even sFTP).
Do I still need the OHS setup in DMZ or can the entire SOA suite (including B2B and OHS) remain on the intranet site. Not sure about your network configuration and design but you may need OHS setup. (from security perspective)

  • Quick pre-installation question

    Hi all
I'm getting Infinity installed on Monday.
My master socket is in the living room but I have an office where I have my router, gigabit switch, NAS etc. etc.
I 'could' have the switch/NAS/modem/router in the lounge behind my sofa and run me PC and Laptop via wireless but really that's not ideal for me.
Will the engineer be happy to move the master socket (not too complex a job as far as I can see, routing about 5 metres of cable from the outside into the next room) when there is an alternative?
    Thanks in advance
    Dene

    Well, that was dead easy!!
Was supposed to be here between 1pm and 6pm. She called at 11:30am to say she was about to start the work. Came to the door at 11:45am.....Did the work in about 40 minutes and promptly left :-)
Really nice engineer, very helpful, just changed the existing master socket in the living room and plugged the new modem into the data extension in the office. Hey presto! super speed infinity now up and running.
Can't complain about that speed after my previous 3Mb/s connection.
Very very happy with BT right now :-)
Thanks everyone for your previous advice in this thread.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 Installation Question

How can I tell if my software installed properly? The software came with three discs, and it only installed the first disc. I am new to Photoshop, and do not know if my software installed properly? Can anyone help?

    Gautham K,
    Thank you for your quick replies. I have checked,and my OS is indeed 64 bit. I have been using the 32 bit version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, since I installed it last evening. I have a few quick questions;
Will I loose any functionality if I stay with the 32 bit version versus un-installing and installing the 64 bit version from disc 2?
If I decide to un-install, and re-install from disc 2, will there be any software registration issues (as I have already registered the software)?
Thanks again for all of your help.

  • Quick SAP Script question New Page Print

    Quick SAP Script question
I have added a new page to an existing SAP Script BUT only want it to print if a condition is true.
I need to do this from within the form as the print program is SAP Std.
Any idea how I can prevent the new page from printing?
i.e. I need the form NOT to call the new page if the condition is false. Is there a way of forcing an exit or stop from with in the form?

    Hi,
To trigger a new page, there is script ediotr command NEW-PAGE.
so find where is that command is triggered and use the below code for trigger it on any specific condition....
    if &condition& = 'True'
    /*  NEW-PAGE
    elseif
    /: NEW-PAGE
    endif
so it means if condition is satisfied your new page will not work.. else it will...
    Hope you got it...
    Try this..
    Best luck..

  • Installation Questions Documaker 12.3 Enterprise Edition

We are looking to install Documaker 12.3 Enterprise Edition and have the following installation questions:
When installing Documaker can we have our own VM in our own OU for the WAS application servers? This will make maintenance easier on our side.  There doesn’t seem to be anything in the documentation saying this is a good or a bad idea.
Our WAS Admins would like to know what the scripts in the Post-Setup documentation actually do.  Is it possible to use our existing scripting environment to build the necessary pieces instead of using scripts from the documaker install?  If it’s not possible, can we get a look at the documaker scripts before we run them?
We would like to know if WAS 8.5 is supported, or if version 7.0.0.27 in the requirements pdf is the only version supported?

The typical installation scenario is to have 3 tiers - application (WAS), application (Documaker), and data. WAS tiers host web applications (Dashboard, Administrator, Interactive) as well as providing database connection pools and JMS queues for messaging - it is expected that the WAS environment is a clustered environment and that the applications are deployed to the cluster members, which can be physical or virtual. For the Documaker application server, these can be physical or virtual as well. It's recommended to install Documaker on single-purposes environments, however there's nothing to prevent you from doing otherwise. The Documaker applications are self-contained JVMs and can be tuned accordingly.

The installation process (currently) writes the scripts according to responses provided during the installation process. The scripts can be reviewed/modified prior to execution.
We would like to know if WAS 8.5 is supported, or if version 7.0.0.27 in the requirements pdf is the only version supported?
The official supported version of WAS is 7.0.0.27, however WAS 8.5 may be suitable (I believe there might be a fix pack requirement there - would recommend you submit a question to Oracle Support for verification).

  • I have what is hopefully a quick and easy question. I kno...

I have what is hopefully a quick and easy question. I know almost nothing about this stuff so go easy on me . All I need to do is find out if my DHCP is enabled. I'm having problems with my Xbox 360 and one of the possible problems is this DHCP thing. However I have no idea how to find the settings for my router on my computer. If it helps I have a Wirless model BEFW11S4. Thanks in advance for any help.

You need to access your router to check if the DHCP is on.  To access the router open your browser and type in http://192.168.1.1 into the address field and hit enter.  That should open the routers log on screen and by default the user is left blank (some routers it is admin) and the password is abmin.  If you changed your routers password as you should for security reasons then use that password.  That will bring you to your routers user interface and on the main set up page should be your DHCP.

  • Trouble with quick time installation

whenever i try to install quick time the installer gives me the message "there is a problem with this windows installer package. a program required for this install to complete could not be run." i have tried uninstalling and re installing, repairing the installation, installing an older version of quick time, and using the windows installer cleanup program but none of it has worked this problem also occurs when trying to install itunes

Did you ever resolve this issue with quicktime? I noticed your name is on a lot of the forums that post questions regarding quicktime and itunes updates and problems with Bonjour, so I thought I'd ask you for help:
I bought a new computer in February with Windows 7. I was never able to get quicktime to work properly and now when my computer tells me I need to update, it keeps giving me error messages:
"Errors occurred while installing the updates. If the problem persists, choose Tools-Download Only and try installing manually." I did that and when I choose Itunes it gives me this message:
"Service 'Bonjour Service' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." I tried that thing you suggested on another string of giving myself "permission" under the security tabs. It didn't work.
Please help -- is this a Windows 7 thing?

  • New Installation Questions

Morning everyone Have had a quick look for answers to my questions, but can't seem to find anything readily (so apologies if I am duplicating information here). I'm soon to have Sky mulitroom installed, which poses a few questions -  1) Do I have to have black coax used during the installation? I have a white house and would *prefer* white cable if possible. 2) How much of a say do I get in the route of the cabling? Clearly 3 (maybe 4?) cabes need to come from the dish to the boxes, taking slightly different routes, but I do want to avoid unsightly cabling as much as possible. 3) A new phone line is also being installed, but do I also need to have an extension socket installed next to the 2nd Sky box? Or does only one box need to be connected to the phone line? I'm sure these are questions that come up time and again, so apologies for not locating the answers already.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

Questions 1 and 2 can only really be answered by the engineer who does your installation. In my experience they are fairly amenable. The latest boxes do not require a phone connection as long as they are connected to your broadband.

  • X79-gd45 (8d) - Windows 7 Pro x64 installation questions

    Hi,
I have a MSI X79-GD45(8D) board with i7-3930k processor that I am trying to install Win 7 x64 Pro on.  I have a Sandisk Xtreme 240 SSD that I will be using as a system disk and 2X WD 1TB Black SATA 6GB/s (faex) drives that I will be using in a RAID 1 configuration for storing quickbooks and other data.  This machine will run a quickbooks enterprise server serving 10 people
I want to get the installation right from the get go so that I can start testing it asap.  Here are the steps that I will be taking to get this going.  Could you folks comment on it so that I can modify it as needed.  Thanks.
I have already installed the main board, 32GB RAM, Processor, fans etc and have setup the case.  It does post without issues so far.  Now for the installation, I have not partitioned the SSD (intend to make use of the full 240 GB) and leave the WD disks in a Raid 1 taking up the whole disk space (no partitions).
I am installing Win 7 x64 Pro on the SSD.  Here I have several questions:
    1. Do I set the SATA mode to RAID or should I just leave it at AHCI? I am assuming that this board recognizes drives in AHCI mode and installs Win 7.  I ask this question because I will be using two WD SATA drives in Raid 1 for storing data later.  Will the SATA mode be AHCI irrespective of that fact or should I change it to RAID after installing Win 7?
    2. Should I install Intel RSTe iaAHCI or iaStorA (ver RSTe_Win7_8_64bit_3.5.0.1101_F6) with the F6 option for the setup I mentioned.  I know the F6 installation in Win XP, but a little confused with Win 7.  I ask this because, I have read some discussions of Intel drivers vs Microsoft's version for AHCI.  Raid is confusing though.  Please explain in detail if you can.  Appreciated.
3 If I do F6 installation, do I install the AHCI/RAID drivers again after Win 7 is installed or does Windows properly load the F6 installation?
SSD, AHCI are all new to me with this build.  I have tried to educate myself, but have some of the confusions that I listed above.  Please explain how I can properly install it to the spec that I outlined above.
Your time, patience and help are all appreciated.  Thanks

1.) IF you are going to be using the mainboads raid controller for the data drive. You need to set the mode to raid for the os install as well. Unless you are going to use the extra chipset for the SSD. (Ports 7 &8) You won't be able to enable raid later w/o re-installing the os.
2.) I put the os(Install) on a usb flash drive, I also include all of the drivers on this flash drive and load the newest versions even if it detects the drive right out of the gate.
3.)Once inside  the OS, you would install the irst drivers there as well. (They are combined the raid bios / drivers and os drivers)
If this isn't going to be a very high I/o server, I probably wouln't bother with the SSD but since you have it you would just use it as a non-member drive of the raid. Have a fast drive for the os, isn't going to help the server all that much as most of the I/O will be on the data drive.
If this is going to be a heavily used server(high i/o) you may want to look at a raid 5 configuration for the os and data drives. As SSD's degrade over time and aren't really optimal for contant use like in a server. Raid 5 requires 3 drives minimum and is striping and mirroring so you get the best of both worlds.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_RAID_levels
However, the board based raid controller isn't really the best for this set up. I am fairly loyal to Adaptec Raid controllers although you need to contact Adaptec (or whoever) in regards to compatiblity as MSI doesn't test server compoents on thier desktop products.
This is the one I last used:

Also, look into the SAS drives as opposed to the sata drives. (if you use a raid card)

  • Adobe AIR installation questions

    Hi all,
I'm looking into the possibility of distributing an application with Adobe AIR and I've a few questions about the Adobe AIR installation process. Just to give you some background on the situation I'm in - if a user wants to use the service I'm working on, they need to install a binary application on their computer. We've a web site which communicates with this binary application. As the user as to install the binary application to begin with, we're beginning to look at AIR as a possible alternative to distributing the web content through a browser.
    1. Adobe AIR installation requests that the user enters their computer password. Is there any way to retrieve this password from a separate installer? The binary application that we ask our users to install asks the user for their password and it would be nice to not ask the user to enter their password twice. Are there any possibilities for sharing this password between our binary application and the Adobe AIR installer?
    2. If I sign up as a re-distributer of AIR, is the Adobe EULA which is displayed at the start of installation still necessary? I'm already displaying one EULA (with the binary application) and I'd prefer not to have to display two.
    3. I'm assuming that there is no way to specify the directory into which I'd like the Adobe AIR runtime to be placed - can you confirm that Adobe AIR is always installed in the /Applications folder on mac and c:/Program Files on Windows?
This question goes out to Adobe AIR developers - If you have distributed your application with Adobe AIR, have you ever stumbled across the situation where a user has uninstalled the Adobe AIR runtime (either intentionally or unintentionally) and you are now left in a situation where a user cannot access your services because Adobe AIR is not installed on their computer. If so, are you aware of any usable fallbacks other than to tell customers that they have to have Adobe AIR installed to run the application?
    Thanks
    Sean

1:  We are working on a method to use a local socket to communicate with an installed c# application on the users machine.  The situation is very similar, however we store credentials encrypted and accessible to the installed binary.  If those credentials do not exist the AIR app requests the user to input them and they are sent to the binary.  These credentials are stored either per session, daily or forever per the user's preferences.  We use this method to let AIR be the front end it was designed to be and leave all the heavy lifting OS / processor wise to the binary.  Unsure if this would help but you can read a bit more on using local sockets here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappshtml/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7caf. html
2:  The EULA is still required as the End User has to accept it.  If there's a way around that, I'm not aware.
3:  The installation directory can be changed by the user unless you are performing silent installs (available when you sign a redistribution agreement).  I don't recommend relying on the installation directory never changing.
Try using nativePath to determine where your program location is: (javascript)
    //application directory
    var file = air.File.applicationDirectory.resolvePath("testfile.html");
    air.trace(file.nativePath);
    //application storage directory
    var file = air.File.applicationStorageDirectory.resolvePath("testfile.html");
    air.trace(file.nativePath);
4:  I've faced the problem where the AIR runtime is not available, but we always fall back on the badge there.  For what it's worth it's pretty handy at detecting requirements and getting them to the user.
    hope that helps

  • Itunes 10 and Quick Time Installation on Windows 7

I have installed iTunes 10.6.3.25 on a Windws 7 Operating system and I had what appears to be the same problems of not being able to intall the software and I followed the trobleshooting guide on:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1926
I have now been able to install the software in the automatically selected folder of C:\Program Files(x86) however I am still expereincing the following problems:
    - I was unable to launch itunes however I launched it in Safe Mode and the following messages are received in order:
"iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly"
The only option to select at this point is "OK" once selected iTunes then opens and then the the next message is received:
"iTunes: iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point I_NetNameCanonicalize could not be located in the dynamic link library NETAPI32.dll"
The only option to select at this point is "OK" once selected iTunes finishes opening.
Further I note that following the initial installation of iTunes Quick Time Player did not automatically install so I downloaded from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ QuickTime 7.7.2. Once downloaded I attempted to install the executable file (as administrator) and after the standard message of Windows 7 appears as follows:
"Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?" (Program name QuickTime....etc)
    I select "Yes"
Then a dialog box appears very breifly that normally comes up when installing new software, however before the dialog box populates with any information it dissapears and the installation process stops.
So once iTunes has finshed opening I attempt to open one of the movies in my library and as expected the following message appears:
"This movie requires Quick Time, which is not included in this version of iTunes.
To play this movie, instal Quick Time."
    Assistance would be appreciated.

I got it to work now ...
-Unistall the current iTunes on your computer.
    - go to http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1427
-Go all the way down the page and download the iTunes through the given link
----------Download for iTunes 10.4.1 for Windows  (64 - bit) here:  iTunes 10.4.1 for Windows 64-bit.
-Once downloaded if a message window pops up with a message "the file itunes library.itl cannot be read"
Just go to My documents-> Music folder -> iTunes folder -> delete library.itl if existing or add it if it doesn't exist.
it worked for me so I believe that it should
    Good luck

  • Quick CSS box question

    Hi guys,
Firstly a very Merry Christmas to you all !
I'm just getting to grips with converting all the text on my
site to CSS and have a quick question.
On some of my pages I add an 'Also see' links box aligned to
the right - it's a CSS div tag thingy someone kindly talked me
through once. All of my pages are built from a template with an
    editable region.
My question is, can I add this box (perhaps with a standard
'Also check out' title and then spaces for my links) at the
template level? This will save me having to go to Insert>Layout
Objects>DivTag on every page. I've tried simply adding this to
the editable region of the template but it simply pushed the
editable region box over to the right and then didn't appear on my
    pages
Also, the links box would ideally appear about half way down
    my pages on the right...
Hope you can help, many thanks in advance!
    James
Here's an example page where I have manually added my link
box on the right of the page...
    http://www.fyrne.com/james_journalism/Pages/Mosaic_of_the_med.html

Your CSS link implies that the CSS file is in the Templates
    folder. You
shouldn't have anything there other than the template (dwt)
    files
themselves. Please move it out to any other location in your
    site.
    <link href="../../Templates/Box.css" rel="stylesheet"
    type="text/css">
Changes made to template editable regions would not propagate
    to existing
child pages - that's why you aren't seeing that addition in
    them....

  • A Few Quick Lenovo T410 Questions

    Hi all,
I posted here quite a while ago about my 9 cell battery in my integrated graphics T410 only lasting up to 5 hours. I have yet to send the notebook in simply because I haven't been able to go without it. However, I plan to do so at the start of this next week. Before I do so I was going to swap out the 500GB 7200.1RPM hard drive I installed with the 250GB 5400RPM drive that came with the notebook to see if it was an excessive power issue with the drive. This is where my worries are.
When I inserted the 500GB hard drive into the drive tray, I had a very hard time screwing the tray in place. The screws were damaged in the process, and I have worries about taking them out, and putting them back in again. I am still under warranty.
Am I able to recieve a new set of these screws?
    Also, 2 quick questions
I plan on moving my 500GB drive into the slot where my optical drive is now, and putting a SSD in wheremy 500GB drive is located now. Do I need to buy anything special to make this work?
I also plan on upgrading from the 2x2GB RAM I installed myself (machine came with 1x2GB), to 4x2GB. Is this RAM compatible?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I think only lenovo techs can determine or tell that, but my guess is that if they feel they need to be replaced, then they probably will.

    1. Yes, you would need this:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-73170.html
    2. Yep, the RAM will definitely work.
    Hope this helps.

  • New Tiger 10.4.6  installation Questions

Just installed a new retail version of Tiger 10.4.6 today. I bought it from Apple. It's up and running and I'm using it now, but I have some questions and things I'm not sure about. When I bought the DVD the Apple rep told me it was not compatible with classic the way my old version of OS 10.1 was. He said the only way I could use OS 9 with it was to reboot to it ( I've already tried that and it works).
Today I installed Tiger using the custom option as I did not want to erase the harddrive. It would appear that Tiger, during the installation, went through what was on the harddrive, picked what would run on Tiger, and left the rest in OS 9.2.2. Yet, when you click on System Preferences there it is: "Classic". Now I wonder if I can use it?
It did not load any microsoft applications at all. I did find a folder named "previous system" on the harddrive which I assume is the archived 10.1 : It's a 750.4MB file.
I have not yet udated to 10.4.11 and I wonder if I need to?

That applies to Mac OS X 10.5, not 10.4.

You can. Some components may need to be updated.

If the new update contains features or fixes useful to you, you should install it.
