Quicktime 7.2 Pro just updated errors

i have Quicktime Version 7.2.0, Quicktime Player version 7.2 (7.2) i have a pro serial key i purchased.
well im not 100% certain its an error as opposed to maybe certain videos ...but iam unable to save alot of Quicktime videos by selecting the arrow on the right side of the quicktime mov. some i can some i cant, both in firefox and safari.
i tried a few from the apple trailer site, some allow me to and alot dont. i tried a few sites that i frequent and sites i make myself and wont allow me to save them.
i was wondering
do i need a new serial key for quicktime for 7.2 then?

I believe you are talking about streamed movies; IOW, movies streamed in (near) real-time from some server to your computer as they play (typically in a browser window) instead of first downloaded as a file & then opened in a player application. These are the movies that optionally allow you to save them with the popup menu in the lower right corner of the QT window.
If so, first note that not all movies can be streamed using QuickTime. They must first be prepared for that by including certain "hints." This can be done for some formats with QT Pro. For help with this, open Quicktime Player's help & search on "stream" for a number of help topics related to this. You will also find a lot of useful info at Apple - QuickTime - Tutorials.
As you will learn, you will also need access to a server with streaming software to stream your movies. QuickTime Streaming Server (QTSS), included with Mac OS X Server, is one example. Darwin Streaming Server (DSS) is a free alternative, although not as user-friendly or complete as the version in Apple's server OS version.
The server is primarily what determines if the streamed movie can be downloaded after viewing or not. It is not simple to explain how to set this up. You may find the QTSS Administration Guide (a PDF file) a good way to learn about this.
QTSS makes administration of a streaming server easy. Read about QTSS at Apple - QuickTime - Streaming Server. If you use DSS, it is harder because there is no GUI. Open Source - Server - Streaming Server is a good place to start if you want to understand how to use DSS.
If your group's server is OS X based, it probably uses one or the other of these streaming servers. If it is based on another platform, DSS or some other software may be used. The server administrator should be able to tell you about this.
For your own web pages, you may want to consider the HTTP download method instead. Read about this in Quicktime Player's help topic, "Preparing Movies for Internet Delivery" & the three associated topics at the bottom of that topic. You do not need access to a streaming server for this.
FWIW, I've set up DSS on my local household network, using my iMac G5 as the server. This allows me to stream movies from the G5 to other household Macs. This is particularly interesting when combined with QuickTime Broadcaster for creating "live" broadcasts.

We have a very peculiar problem
We have a Primary DC & Secondary DC installed in all our office ( Windows 2008R2). The Domain name is abc.com for all the Offices and the replication between the DC's happen in between the office happen without a problem.
The clients in each of the offices gets authenticated from the DC in the respective office.
But for a group policy update it gives an error as below
"Computer policy could not be updated successfully. The following errors were encountered: The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file
\\<FQDN>\sysvol\<FQDN>\Policies\{BD732AAF-016F-11D2-945F-00C04Fb984F9}\gpt.inifrom a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is
resolved. This issue may be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following:
a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller.
b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).
c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled.
The error happens only on some clients.
We are able to Ping, connect to the local DC and the client gets the IP from the local DC and also gets authenticated by the local DC for log on.
On the PC which gives an error if we try to ping domain name - abc.com it returns the ip of the DC in a another office and not the local DC.
Request to suggest a solution / tips to identify the problem

Premier Pro CS6 Update error

Hi Forum,
This problem has hung around for months. I have spent days and days over many months trying to get a solution from Adobe but all efforts have failed.
THE ISSUE: When I attempt to update Premier Pro (Help/Updates ...) I get an error from Adobe saying "The Update Server is not responding or the internet firewall settings may be incorrect."
I am only running a software firewall (Bitdefender) and I am not getting any reports from it that an application is trying to open a port, nor can I see any attempt by an adobe server to communicate. In any case, I have uninstalled the firewall several times but still get the server error message. It seems plain the problem is at the Adobe end.
What can I do?
Does anyone know?

I just updated to Premiere Pro CC 2014 and it can't start up

I just updated to Premiere Pro CC 2014, and now I am seeing an error message saying it cannot find any capable play modules. I updated the driver for my graphics card (Firepro), and tried running as administrator with no change. I am running amd fire pro control center which doesn't have the speed settings that is suggested for this problem. For some reason, the original Premiere Pro CC can still open (luckily). I looked up this problem on the on the support page, and it is listed, but when I click the link it redirects me to the start of the troubleshooting questions. I hope there is an answer to let me use the latest version of Premiere!

Is the printer connected wirelessly or wired?
Go to Preferences and under categories go to > Convert to Pdf then select the Image Capture and then hit ok button.
Close Acrobat and then relaunch it and see if it helps you while you do scanning.

So... I don't want to do that, but I do what to be able to Manage my music. I'm not sure what it means by being synced to another iTunes unless it means to an older version of itunes?

I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!

I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

I just updated to iOS 8 on my iPad 2 and due to a unforeseen error on iTunes I had to do factory reset. I was using my friend's iMac iTunes to download and update, instead of OTA. Now I'm unable to see my previously purchased apps (some even discontinued that I was hanging on to as they still kind of worked)... Even after I logged into App store on my iPad (tried restoring iCloud and iTunes but no luck, somehow there isn't any backup)! I checked my App Store updates/purchases and see nothing. A forum suggested I try buying it anyway and it will say I already have it and not double charge, but I don't want to take that chance as most of these apps are over $4. I have receipts for all my purchases. Please help!

When you do an update via a computer's iTunes the update process will backup the device (a backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings), wipe the device, install the update, and then restore the backup - the restore would look to pick up your apps, music, films etc from the iTunes library.
You've tried logging out (tap on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app) and back in and seeing if they then show in the Purchased tab, and you could also check to see if the apps are hidden from Purchased : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases.
If an app is no longer in the store then you won't be able to redownload it. You haven't got copies of your apps in your own computer's iTunes library and/or on your backup of your downloads/library ?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
