Quoting strings in message lov input (uix)

Hi, I used a message lov input to replace a field in the regular search form (uix). The problem is that the input isn't backslashed properly. Is there a setting I have to toggle to enable this?

I got the following error message when I tried to insert a record into database.
Please help me in this regard. I need to insert upto 2000 bytes.

Hello,
I have a LOV Which displays the Locations.It has 2 columns Location_id and Location_Name.This LOV is attached to a field named "LocationName".Requirement is to show the existing location name based on the location id of the employee that is queried before updating the employee details.
The programatic Query property of the associated LOV map is set to True as i need to bind the query with the location_id at run time. However this gives me the following error message when the page is opened :
Lov Input should by default be the queryable criteria and Result
Can you please let me know what need's to be done?

Normally you will get this error, when you didn't give LOV field as the criteria item in the LOV mappings.
Check you have given the LOV field as one of the criteria mapping for the LOV.

Error JBO-36000 in JDEV 11 TP3 when trying to use an ADF LOV Input Text

Hi,
I'm using JDEV 11 TP3 ( 11.1.1.0.0) and i'm trying to use an ADF LOV Input Text on a JSF Page.
In The Business Components Browser, It works perfectly.
If I drop my Data Control on my JSF Page as an ADF Form, it works fine, too.
But if I drop the same Data Control as an ADF Table when I run the JSF Page and when I click on the "magnifier" icon, I've got the folliwng message :
ERROR JBO-36000 : unexpected expression token found... Server Exception during PPR.
Can anyone explain me this message ?

I've just created the table with the Wizard, I did'nt change anything on it.

I populated Master-Detail, and added Partial Trigger.

Detail - SelectOneChoice like below

and one more that kff field working is fine for ex display any text pled displayed properly and only problem is not set the value and HrSitKeyFlex6 and HrSitKeyFlex7 fields are perfectly get the values but not pront HrSitKeyFlex8 that only my issue....

but my question is why we need to attach ppr for all the 4 elements
we can attach a ppr for 4 element and make a validatiion on other 3 elements, if values are entered or not, if not throw a appropriate exception, if all the values are entered then make the caluculation and assign it to the transient attribute.
Babu, y would I throw the error if user hasn't entered all 4 i just have to show addtion of all four elements in fifth.Other point is how will you decide which is fourth element, any element can be considered as fourth depnds from where u start counting :)!Unless I have attached PPR to all 4, you won't catch any change event in any of the four elements.The event will be one only but all 4 elements will be attached to same(i.e. all will have same event name).Just visulaise the scenario...., you will get what I am trying to say.

How to Disable client side validation for the message text input

Hi,
I have scenario where i need to by pass the client side validation for a message text input
Scenario is
I have a message text input field(say XYZ), i set the max length for the item as 20
Now when im trying to enter the greek characters into it, it is allowing me to enter till 20 characters
But when i try to submit the form ..my client side validation is firing..
The Error says the XYZ is too long
The problem is, in greek each character takes two bytes.(In english it is only 1).While entering the content it allowing 20 characters and when validating it is checking for bytes(if we enter in greek the length will be 40 bytes not 20)
I cannot increase the max length .coz i have restrict the character length to 20 only.(english or Greek).
Please help me in this regard.

Thanks for the information.But we dont have any option either declaratively or programatically to disable the client side validation for the message text input..I referred java docs ..i dint find any method which does..

APEX 4.0.2 Project Gantt Chart - Error Code: 2002 Message: Empty input

I have created a brand new page containing a Project Gantt Chart region. The Gantt chart is designed to track the progress of a job over time. The page has one chart series containing the following SQL.
SELECT null LINK,
stage NAME,
rownum ID,
null PARENT_ID,
trunc(start_date) ACTUAL_START,
trunc(completion_date) ACTUAL_END,
decode(completion_date, null, 0, 100) PROGRESS
FROM tracking
WHERE job_reference = '889343'
This SQL statement returns values from SQL Developer and from the SQL Workshop > SQL Commands from within APEX itself.
The problem is that when I run the page the following error displays inside the region
Category: 2000
Error code: 2002
Message: Empty input
Environment Information
Application Express 4.0.2.00.07. - Clean installation not upgraded from APEX 3
Using Firefox 3.6.15
Issue identical in IE
DB version - Oracle Database 11g Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production

Runtime.getRuntime().exec and quoted strings?

Attempting to execute a command containing a quoted string. Being very new to Java I'm guessing I'm not doing it right. Below are two code bits the first one works the second doesn't. So the question is "How do I use quoted strings in a command with .exec?"

I don't know if it is too late for the answer, but I think I know what the problem is.
You are using exec(String) method, and passed String parameter is parsed using StringTokenizer class. This means that when you use quotes as in "file1 file2", StringTokenizer parses this as "file1 and then file2" so it is not understandable command.
To solve the problem, do not use exec(String) method, use exec(String[])
Using this you can send separate command and separate parameters as in following example:
If you want to send (in Unix)
grep "SHOW lotid" text.txt
(using exec("grep \"SHOW lotid\" text.txt") would not work)
Do the following
exec(new String[]{"grep", "SHOW lotid", "text.txt"});
This avoids parsing problem when quotes are used.

Whether the identifiers should be quoted or not depends whether they were defined that way when the table and colums were created. Whether they can be created/accessed this way depends on the policy of the database that you are using with regards to 'Quoted Identifiers' (also known as 'Delimited Identifiers'). On databases this feature is on by default, on others it is not. If you database objects require quoted identifiers then you may enter them as quoted as you've seen in the weblogic-rdbms20-persistence-810.dtd

I can't seem to access new mail on my I pad . I can only see strings of messages that are related to each other. I also have lost the ability to search for messages that are no longer on display on my I pad.

Struts - Firfefox messages: No input attribute for mapping path /editNxtMod

I'd like to create an admin application which is based upon a simple database table. The list shows already, but the detail of selected record doesn't. When I click to a record, the Firefox writes "No input attribute for mapping path /editNxtModuls". What does it mean? Maybe bad configuration files?

The config file looks ok to me.
The Action looks like you aren't taking full advantage of Struts.
You shouldn't have to call request.getParameter() - you should define an action form which picks up the parameters, and does the validations/conversions for you.
Maybe try this:
