How to declare r_parm in event handler method for the interface event ON_DATA_CHECK

Forum interface event handling

Perhaps an issue of performance, but I just noticed the following, which seems to indicate a misbehavior of the OTN forum software in regard to sequentially processing or canceling previous interface events.
While browsing my communications page, I accidentally clicked on a username instead of the subject to browse the message. I realized the mistake and immediately clicked on the right section. It showed the message. However, a minute later or so, the screen refreshed and it showed the user's BIO profile.

Hey, I'm new to the forums and I have problems with Flash that i just cant fix. I have this error that keeps telling me how "The class or interface 'Event' could not be loaded. The error is on the 5th line of the code:

I know that the code is for AS3 but I cant switch to AS3 atm and I need the same code, but for AS2. So, can anyone convert this for me? By the way, this is supposed to be a preloader and I am putting this on the 1st frame. I have so extensions (.as), just the .fla file.
Also, I am using the newest Flash, Adobe Flash CS6.

Just search Google for an AS2 preloader tutorial instead of trying to convert AS3 to AS2.

Web browser interface events

Hi.. I'm wondering if there is a way to know how the browser interface events (e.g. the browser menu selections, clicks on the browser tool bar) can be captured and if the use of Java applets can help or not??..Thank you.

The events you talk about here cannot be detected. Other kinds of events are detectable through javascript and netscape's JSObject class which bridges Java and JavScript.

LabVIEW user interface event structure "priority"

Do Pane events get processed first and then control events?
I have a VI that checks a value change of button that is latched and it also checks for the mouse down event on the Pane. I noticed that the Pane event gets processed and then the value change of the button. This is not too critical at this point for my project but was curious if this is on purpose.

When debugging what event occures in what order, I usually find the Event Inspector Window helpful. It basically tracks the queue that LabVIEW uses and shows the order that events are generated and handled.

Unwanted interface Alarms and Events in PI2.0

We receive a lot of interface events and alarms from our 3560s access ports. We have not deployed any interface monitoring yet but still hundreds of alarms and events warns us about interfaces going up and down. Anyone who know why Prime is monitoring all interfaces and how to disable that?

Additional lab tests shows that all interfaces of a device indeed is monitored by snmp. When an interface changes from UP to DOWN/DISABLE an event and an alarm is generated. We have not deployed any "Interface health montoring" and still the interfaces are monitored. Not good for access ports.
As a workaround we created a new Interface health monitoring template with the interface availability check disabled and just one other check enabled (interface util) and deployed it on two specific ports on a switch. Did not help. Alarms were still generated when the access ports were disabled.
Any ideas?

EEM event track is not supported (version 3.2)

I do have a track that monitors (ICMP-echo) of two IP addresses and I want to do some action when the track is down and this has been working quite well on the 2911. I have found in the IE3010 event detector that tracking event is not available while the same is available in the 2911
Any advise how can I solve this problem and how can I do action based on the status of the tracked object in the IE3010 ?

Handling User Events in Java Server Pages

Is it possible to write and associate scripts with User Interface Events on an HTML front end and JSP back end.
THis is for JDeveloper3.0

The proper way to do this is by using
JavaScript.
One of my favorite ways to see this is by
visiting various web sites and when you
see something you like, using Netscape,
you can right click on the page and select
View Source, this will show you the source
for the page which may contain the
Java Script you are looking for.
The other way to do this is to use an Applet.

Disabling Warning: Event id 2887 ActiveDirectory_DomainService

is it possible to disable this bloody warning?:

During the previous 24 hour period some clients attempted to perform LDAP binds that were either:
(1) A SASL (Negotiate Kerberos NTLM or Digest) LDAP bind that did not request signing (integrity validation) or
(2) A LDAP simple bind that was performed on a cleartext (non-SSL/TLS-encrypted) connection
This directory server is not currently configured to reject such binds. The security of this directory server can be significantly enhanced by configuring the server to reject such binds. For more details and information on how to make
this configuration change to the server please see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/LinkID=87923.
Summary information on the number of these binds received within the past 24 hours is below.
You can enable additional logging to log an event each time a client makes such a bind including information on which client made the bind. To do so please raise the setting for the "LDAP Interface Events" event logging category to level 2 or higher.

To fix the error and enhance the security of your network, please consider configuring the domain controller to reject unsigned LDAP communications. Meanwhile, client
computers that currently rely on unsigned binds or LDAP simple binds over a non-Secure Sockets Layer / Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) connection will stop working if this you make this configuration change. You should first identify all the client computers
that are using unsigned binds.
When unsigned binds occur, the domain controller will log Event ID 2887 every 24 hours, indicating how many unsigned binds have occurred. If you want to learn specifically
which client computers are using unsigned binds to the domain controller, you can enable diagnostic logging for LDAP Interface Events.

VI containing Event Structure will not receive front panel events in LabVIEW Real-Time.

Hi again, I'm working in my first UI (attached VI).
It works when running directly from PC. It doesn't when running from cRIO, there's the message "VI containing Event Structure will not receive front panel events in LabVIEW Real-Time". I've been reading and I found that "Event structures on RT targets do not support events associated with user interface objects, such as VI panels or controls. For example, associating the Value Change event with a control does not work. RT targets support only user events".
Is that the problem? If it is, how can I create Mouse Up, Mouse Enter, Value Change (or other user interface events) user events?
If I run my VI in FPGA mode should it run?

Can't create SNMP Event in EEM 3.10

We have upgraded one of our routers from version 12.4 to 15.0, Since the upgrade we can't seem to use SNMP event on the Embedded Event Manger applet.
We are using Cisco 2800 Software (C2800NM-ADVSECURITYK9-M), Version 15.0(1)M2

Activating/Using Business Transaction Event (BTE) PM000030

Hello everybody !
I need to implement BTE PM000030.
I tried to follow the howto provided by sap & in the forums , but I must be missing a step since this is not working.
I have created a custom product in transaction FIBF and now I want to assign my own function module to this event & product.
I entered FIBF->Settings->Of a customer.
Now when I attempt to select the PM000030 Proccess which im interested in, It is not there, to be exact - most of the proccessing are not there.
From this step, I found no availible SAP documentation on dealing with this situation.
I tried to manually enter PM000030 in the field and was rejected saying "entry does not exist in TSP01, when trying to create an entry manually in TSP01, I get an error saying I should first create a data element for it.
I dont really know what procedure I should follow from here.
I would highly appreciate any help, Thanks!

Unfortunately, as far as i know, i should tell you that : you cann't call the event-hanlder in another Application if the 2 applicaions are run in different IE browser...
If your 2 component are used in the same IE browser, maybe you can make one interface event, and trigger it in one component, then handle the event in the second component(by reimplemented the former)...
However, from your description, i think, you want to trigger the event handler in another application in different IE Browser...
So, very upset..We cann't communicate between the 2 applications, as far as i know...

Event handling using CAN?

I am aware of how to make LabView respond to user interface events (keyboard presses, button presses, mouse moves, etc) and I'm also aware that the same event handling structure can be used to handle external (non-GUI) events- like those generated by a digital edge on a DAQmx input. My question is whether the same event handling structure can be used to handle external events coming in on a CAN network- via NI-CAN or otherwise?
Is there a good reference which summarizes ALL general types of events that can be handled in this way- not just the standard GUI events? I have a feeling that ActiveX and VISA are other ways to generate events, but can't find a good resource in general - or specifics on the NI-CAN side.

Thanks Mike- still not sure I understand. What should I wire to the Create User Event block in order for available events to show up in the dialog which allows me to configure events in a given frame? For example, I have an external micro-controller communicating with LabVIEW using a CAN network. Usually the communication is started by LabVIEW and sends commands out- but I also want to be able to handle asynchronous messages generated by this micro-controller in an event fashion without having do any polling. Is there some reference I can wire to the Create User Event block which will make an event like "Incoming CAN Network Traffic" available to be handled in an event structure?

Trajectory program event handling

Nobody else responded to my question on the subject "Trajectory" in Java Programming forum. See my post history for problem description and code. Perhaps the subject is more appropriate here as an event handling issue. Who has the technical savvy to attempt a solution?

(2) I wouldn't have problem with separate classes as
long as I have no inner classes and the program
essentially works. Sure, one 10,000 - line class may also work fine. However, it is reccommended do not make classes
(as well as source files) very large. The reason is that long file is more difficult to debug.
Second reason why i advised you to do that is that you mix in one class Trajectory (which is about 2000 lines long!!!) all - interface, event handling, calculations, parts responsible for 2D panel processing....
Well, this is not Java is supoposed to be used for.
(3) Creating object of class Falling object is
something I'll consider. If you could show me a brief
code example, I'll understand more.

Now, because all except trajectory array and constructor is private you cannot change this object outside
class. This means that if something goes wrong with calculations, you check only this class and nothing else. In your case you can change some variable at lines 1352 and 122 - you have to check all program to find bug. Here you have to check only this class.
You may also supply this class with mutators and accessors

The time interval
is a tricky parameter since not all calculations work
properly with input data; check input
the logic would require more
complexity and possibly cause run time problems;
automatically testing for the appropriate time
interval could also reduce program efficiency. Dont think so. You can calculate time of falling and divide it by 1000, for instance.
It will take very short time.
I don't
want to set a limit for array points to 1000 or less
since the precision becomes limited and the power of
the program can be hurt severely since the time
duration would be restricted to less than 16 2/3
minutes( 1 second per array index increment). Dont use real time simulation. There is no sence in it. You just want to show how object is falling.
Also, I
don't think the array size can't be changed during a
program run although I have set a much higher maximum
value for array size. Theres no need to change array size.
(4) Erasing data from textfields is something I desire
as a calculation reset feature since it should signal
user that it expects new data and not looking at old
data; however, I might consider additional variables
to hold the data. Well, man, it was quite irritating to type them in. So many fields. User is not stupid,
he knows that he can input other data. Almost anybody will leave this page and wont want to
fill fields again. You have to think about user, not about what you want.
(5 )BTW, what I have in the array doesn't have the
same precision as with the calculation mode. The 2D
simulation uses less precise data to become visually
practical for comprehension of users. But perhaps I
need more than one type of array, but then again,
performance could be a problem.
(6) I thought the program already does take parameters
from text fields and start again. This is what I
desire anyway so I'm not sure why I need new start
feature.
(7) Restart animation seems unaccepatble since I
prefer to treat each simulation as something based on
new calculation data.
I would have initially set up the program with OOD
emphasis, but the original intent was a java
conversion of a a C++ program that needed only a
structured program design and the conversion worked
fine. This Java program has evolved with the 2D
simulation enhancements.
When you did testing the other day, did you use
appletviewer? I looked at it on your site using Safari and run it as application also.
Appletviewer will not detect the problem
so don't rely on Appletviewer to interpret the
problem. Oddly, I wish the program behaved the same
way as what happens when using appletviewer. In fact,
if I could change 2d reset button logic to terminate
and restart the entire applet again via html, then my
problem would be solved. But I don't know if this type
of applet restart is possible or how to effect the
code change if feasible.
