R3 validations reflecting in portal possiblity

Hi experts,
I am working on the Claims & Reimberesment in portal which will update the infotype 267 and 15 respectively.
But if I try to use the claim disbursement for the same claim through R3 transaction pc00_m40_remp what ever the validations I am doing using portal BAdis  wont work here.
So is there any specific point ( User exit ) using which we can control both R3 and portal???
The same validation will it reflect in both R3 and portal?
If possible please let me know the exact point where it can be handled??
Thanks in advance,
Nalla B.

Hi,
You cannot handle both of them at one point if it is related to ESS.
You have to write the validation in separate BADI's.
To identify the BADI for R/3 transaction, put a breakpoint in GET_INSTANCE method of CL_EXITHANDLER class in SE24.
Then access your transaction, then the control will stop at all the BADI's getting called.
Make a note of them and write your validation in one of them which suits your needs.
Cheers,
Raja.D

  • IMG HPF Area Page Customizing not reflecting in Portal

    Hi,
    I'm near to smashing my keyboard, but before I do so, maybe someone is able to help me:
    In IMG Homepage Framework I've got a custom Area Page which has a Headline Area Description and an Area Description Longtext. I need to change the contents of these two fields. If I change the Headline Area Description, it reflects in Portal right after relogging. If I change the Area Description Longtext it still shows the old Area Description in portal. This is not supposed to happen and it never happened before.
    Backend System: NW 7.01 Stack 8 ECC 6.00 EHP4 SP36
    Portal Server: NW 7.01 Stack 9, All respective XSS Java Components and Business Packages Updated to EHP equivalents
    I direly hope this is not due to the difference in Stacks ( Backend 8 - Frontend 9 ).
    Portal cache has been cleared and portal has been restartet, without any effect.
    Any ideas?
    regards, Lukas

    I haven't used external entries. From the Document you provided however, I take it, if I used one, I could just override the "bugged" Long description with an html file.
    UPDATE/EDIT: When I create a HTML File in KM Content and pack it into a Ressource for external Linking in the Area Page. It does reflect, but looks horrible. If I remove the external entry again and keep the description long field blank. The old text reappears in ESS...
    I looked through all the relevant tables in SE11/SE16 the entries in IMG do reflect; just not in ESS.
    Aside from this workaround. Any other ideas why my problem occurs?
    regards, Lukas

  • Valid Records Update, Reporting Possible (Request Green)

    Hi, My company operates change run every night.
    Yesterday, an error occured when loaded data from DSO to cube.
    I guess that there was strange character BW can't recognize.
    Because error had been handled too late, a whole chain was delayed.
    I don't want that this situation happen again.
    I want to skip the error records  so that change run can be operated on schedule.
    As I know, It is possible by using "Valid Records Update, Reporting Possible (Request Green)" option on DTP.
    But, I heard that when I apply this option, there will be no error logs. Is it right?
    I think It can cause the problem of data consistency.
    So, I have question.
    1. Can I get error logs using "Valid Records Update, Reporting Possible (Request Green)" option?
    2. Is there any other way to know existence of invalid records (even if chain skip that record)
    3. If question 1 or 2 are not possible, can an customizing abap program perform this action?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    can you discribe what's your master data check is like. Propably not your skip record exception is rissen but another exception by sap standard masterdata check. It's behviour may differ from the skip record exception you are expecting.
    Check http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/fbd598481e1a61e10000000a422035/content.htm for other types of exception by SAP errorhandling.

  • Schema validation errors in Portal 10.3

    I downloaded, installed and configured a domain with an AdminServer and a ManagedServer for WebLogic Portal 10.3. When I start the AdminServer from NodeManager the following errors are reported:

    When I start the AdminServer using startWebLogic.sh there are no errors. Please advise.

    I have been at this for less than a month, so I may need a little more help. So are you saying that the product as installed has been reorganized and that all of the installed pieces may not reflect all of the changes?

  • Error messages through BADI HRPAD00INFTY not reflected in Portal

    Hi
         We are on ESS 6 and using web dynpro based Iviews.
         Various custom validations have been configured in R/3 via
         BADI <b>HRPAD00INFTY</b> for leave request.
         But those validations are not getting reflected when creating a leave through
         leave request Iview in portal.I need all those custome R/3 validations
         messages to appear in portal as well.
    Regards
    Mohamed Mansoor

    > In which method should I write the validations and
    > more over the BADI has already been implemented via
    > class CL_PT_ARQ_REQ.
    write your validations in SIMULATE_VIA_BLOP method. You can find current record in IM_ATTABS_TAB. after ur validations, when u want to raise an error message use follwing code.
    CALL METHOD MESSAGE_HANDLER->ADD_MESSAGE
    EXPORTING
    IM_TYPE = 'E'
    IM_CL = 'HRTIM_ABS_REQ'
    IM_NUMBER = 'XXX'
    IM_PAR1 = 'SIMULATE_VIA_BLOP'
    IM_PAR2 = 'IF_EX_PT_ABS_REQ~SIMULATE_VIA_BLOP'
    IM_PAR3 = 'BLOP'
    IM_CONTEXT = ''
    IM_SUBCONTEXT = ''
    IM_CLASSNAME = 'CL_PT_ARQ_BLOP_ADAPTER'
    IM_METHODNAME = 'MESSAGE'.
    Here, IM_CL = 'HRTIM_ABS_REQ' is important.
    This is message class created using se93. and XXX is the message number.
    this should raise an error message on leave screen.
    Cheers!!

  • Spry multiple -OR logic- validation in one form possible?

    Dear readers, i'd like to ask for help.
    I have a single form with two user-input field:
    1: text input
    2: select
    The user must fill one of them, but only one! Each input must
    be validated because of syntax, the validation works well, but each
    input must be filled before the submit is possible. I'd like to
    know, is there any method to check if one of the inputs is filled,
    and validation will be succeed?
    (each input must be in same form, with separated forms the
    problem is not exist)
    Thank you in advance!

    Check out the EXEC_SQL command under help in Forms
    The EXEC_SQL package allows you to access multiple Oracle database servers on several different connections at the same time. Connections can also be made to ODBC data sources via the Open Client Adapter (OCA), which is supplied with Developer. To access non-Oracle data sources, you must install OCA and an appropriate ODBC driver.
    The EXEC_SQL package contains procedures and functions you can use to execute dynamic SQL within PL/SQL procedures. Like the DBMS_SQL package, the SQL statements are stored in character strings that are only passed to or built by your source program at runtime. You can issue any data manipulation language (DML) or data definition language (DDL) statement using the EXEC_SQL package.

  • Field lables changes in ESS iView not reflected on portal

    Hi All,
    I am trying to customize the SAP ESS Address DC (webdynpro Java) for South Africa region as per the SAP OSS note (No: 1428933).
    In order to incorporate the changes I have imported the ess/za/addr DC into NWDS. I have changed the label text as per the OSS note and deployed the DC but changes are not reflecting in the portal
    I did some more test on Label text;
    1. Removed the Label text property value from DC and deployed the application,  when I run the application during runtime screen is not showing any label text message for the label since I made it to empty.
    1. I added my custom text message to label text value instead of standard label text value and deployed the application, when I run the application during run time screen is automaticaly showing the standard label text value not my custom label text value.
    I'm trying to figure out from where these field labels value are coming from? Theoretically it should reflect field lables whats given in webdynpro but thats not the case here.
    From where Label field value is coming?. Help me out in this. Thanks,
    Regards, Suresh KB

    If you are just changing the field label the recommended approach is to do it through Web Dynpro UI personalisation.  DO NOT user NWDI to change the source code just for field label change.  The way you change through UI personalisation is locate the iView in portal content, and select preview of iView then use CTRL+RIGHT click mouse button on the field that you want to change the text, you will see properties of selected field in a popup window where you can change the default text.  Once you change it, and apply the changes you will be able to verify you changes in the iView properties (additional properties will be automatically created for the change you made).  Now check the personal data service under ESS role you should see the change.
    Hope this helps
    Siva

  • Validation for set of possible values

    Hi,
    We have the requirement;
    For some of accounts, the field Reference Key 1 (XREF1) should be mandatory.
    We can not do it by creating new posting period variant because these accounts not have same posting period variant.
    so, we have done the followings;
    - created a set of GL accounts in GS01.
    - then created a new step in validation with prerequisite whether the GL account exist in the set, then check the field XREF1 not blank and show the error message.
    The issue now is, we want to add one more condition i.e, there should be possible values for this field Reference Key.
    so, we have to check the possible allowed values also. I am not able to add this check for the set ( Set for possible values created in GS01) here.
    Please suggest how to do it ?
    Thanks,
    Shwetha

    I see... Indeed, some fields are not working with sets; I guess, it's one of them. But still, don't think it's relevant for this field; try to delete it from validation and enter again. Anyway, the 'Set' should not be disabled; maximum you will not be abled to select this set from the directory, but please try. If it does not work, the only way is, then, to write the values in the validation itself (I hope, there are not many)... Alternatively, create user-exit for this validation; in this case, you are free to choose the logic you like.

  • Language Not reflecting in portal sub areas

    Hi all,
    We have installed languages in back end ECC6.0 (SP14,Enhancement Package2). In UME we have assigned the default language to. But still its not reflecting fully in portal page. It means for example I have assigned a french language to the particular user in UME.After doing this activity, i logged in to the portal then the french language is reflecting in the areas but not in subareas(data from ECC ).The data are displaying in English only.
    So, i think i need to maintain values are parameters for the translation has to be taken..
    FYI: Its ESS module and i changed my setting also in browser
    Anyone helping me in this it will be really helpful

    Is the french language installed and maintained in your backend system? If yes, did you configure the browser so that is uses FR-fr as language first before using EN?

  • Report changes not reflected in Portal

    Hi,
    I have a report designed in Business Intelligence Front end tool.  I have added that report to a role created in BI backend and assigned the report to that role.  I am executing the report in Portal through SSO and the report is executing successfully.
    I  made changes in the report and assigned it to the role again.  When i execute the report in portal, the changes are not reflected.  But when i check the same report in Portal using another team mate id, he is able to see the changed report.  We checked the iview of the report in portal and the changed report is there in portal.  But i donno why it is not showing up for me.   We cleared the Browser cache and checked again but the result is same.  We both have the same roles, so nothing to do with the Roles.  I think the problem is in portal, but dont have an idea on where to check it.
    Help me in this regard.  Thanks for your time.
    Regards,
    Murali

    Hello Murali,
    This is strange but please do this simple test & confirm:
    Run the iView using your colleague's id. Copy the complete URL from the browser.
    Open another fresh browser session, pasting the URL login using your credentials.
    What do you see now? Do you see the change?
    This a simple method to filter out the issue..whether its related to backend or not.
    Awaiting Reply.

  • Different Campaign - Same keys / material / validity period is it possible?

    Hello All,
    We want to run two campaigns for different customers with same material / same validity and same discount condition.
    Web UI - Cannot create different campaigns for the same product with the same condition type in the same validity date.
    This is the error we are getting...
    Diagnosis
    The validity periods of records with the same semantic key (e.g. same price type, same organizational data, same product, and same customer) may not overlap. However, the system has found two records with overlapping validity periods.
    System Response
    Both records have a red status on the user interface, indicating that anerror exists. As these records are inactive, they will not be taken into account by any application (for example, sales order pricing).
    Procedure
    Change the validity periods of the records concerned such that they no longer overlap.
    Logically it makes business sense to have two different campaigns for same material and validity at the same time.
    We do not intend to introduce a customer key - as it becomes too cumbersome to maintain the records for n number of customers.
    Is there a setting in campaign management or somewhere else XCM etc etc to over-ride this some how.
    Please let me know if you need to see screen shots - I can provide them ... on request
    Good answers will be rewarded with points.....
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    Yes it will be possible, But you condition record should be based on customer/material.

  • Client Side Validations in Visual Composer possible Or Not?

    Hi All,
    I Want To Know Client Side Validations Possible in Visual Composer.
    Because I Write Validate Code For input Field.They Give Only Red Color Message To inputField WhatEver I Gave In Condition Error Message.They Do N't Validate the InputFileds.But They give Suggession Only.
    Please Respond ASAP.
    SubbaRao Chinta

    Hi SubbaRao,
    Although the WebDyn Pro runtime of VC does not perform "true" client side validations, the conditions that a modeler enters on a given control can prevent unnecessary requests to the back end. In order to add such a rule to a control you need to:
    1. Choose Configure on the context menu of the control you want to validate
    2. Select Rules in the Validation group of the task panel. This will open the Define Validation Rules dialog box.
    3. Click the Add Row button, and then open the Condition drop down list, and add the condition you want (to prevent).
    4. In the Error Message column, enter the text you want to display when this condition occurs.
    If you have an action defined in the same view, it will not be carried out if the condition is true.
    If your action is defined in a different view, you need to change the action's validation scope - go into the Define Action dialog and the validation tag, and change the validation scope to "window"
    If none of this helps, try to describe what you have done and I'll see if I can help.
    Good luck,
    Eyal

  • Field "Valid For" ESS Portal

    Hi Guys,
    Is there any of you encounter this field "Valid For" after you update your patch in your ESS portal? Its usually found below the  Road Map.
    Cheers,
    Raynard

    FYI
      This field could be disabled for all users if the portal administrator
    selects the corresponding iview and there he should select the field
    and do a shiftctrlright click. This when done by the admin it will
    hide this field for all users.
    He could also login to portal and hide it there and once this is saved
    this should get hidden for all users.
    Cheers,

  • Changes not reflected in portal after successful import

    Hello,
    I am having trouble with some transports in NWDI. I made some changes to the ESS Address Details dynpro and tested them in the development portal. I then imported them into CONS and the import ran successfully. However I cannot see the changes in the portal. I then ran the TCS Deployer and there was a long list of entries in the list of deployments for my buildspace. I then triggered the auto deployment and waited a few hours. This did not help either. I also checked to confirm that SDM was up and running which it was. Is anybody able to give me some advice on this?
    Thanks a lot,
    Ashley Butterfield

    i have faced the same problem, but after 30 hours all the deployements are done, we got some thing around 511 deployement request on the consolidation server,
    Cheers,
