Radial Gradients within individual editable characters?

Is it possible to have an "editable" line of text in InDesign where each character has a radial gradient fill of its own, instead of the radial gradient consuming the entire line of text?

I think it depens on what you mean. I can apply a differnt gradient to each character in a line of text, but the gradient always seems to be applied as if it is coverint the entire frame, so that if I apply the same gradient in differnt lines the text takes on different values depending on how close or far it is from the center of the frame.
Frankly I think this is a bug, and I'm pretty sure I reported it a couple of years ago, but if you agree it won't hurt to report it again, though perhaps requsting a feature would be more likely to get a change. Same form: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form

Gradient Fill Individual Letters of Editable Type, is this possible in Illustrator?

I have a applied a gradient fill to editable point text via the appearance pallete, but that applys the gradient to all the type as a whole. Is there any way to fill each individual letter of the type with a gradient without converting into outlines?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have it working in CS3 I didn't even have to use Effect>Path>Outline Object.
Type the text.
Remove the Default fill in the tool panel.
Text should have no fill. Now use the Appearance Panel to add a fill.
Now with the fill in the Appearance Panel selected, click on a Grad Swatch.

I have an oval and I want the radial gradient to be even (if that even makes sense). Is it possible to do this? And if so, how would I go about so?

I just got Flash to launch and I have discovered there is a roundabout way of doing the same thing. It involves the timeline and converting a Motion Tween or Classic Tween into a FrameByFrame Animation or Converting Tween to Keyframes, respectively.
Create a star shape of reasonable size on the stage in a solid color that is easy to identify. Create a symbol out of it. Create about 30 frames of it on the timeline as a single frame that extends from 1 to 30. Convert this 30 frame range to a motion tween or if you know how to make a classic tween from this point forth do that instead.
The last frame will be the same symbol with a blending mode applied where you have placed a Tint of a different color to the symbol.
Then convert this motion tween or classic tween into individual keyframes.
This is the part where I get stuck. Normally you should be able to distribute all of the frames to individual layers but since they are the same symbol it only takes one frame and places it on a new layer. So you have all of your individual keyframes but you would have to manually drag them into place on top of each other. The only other idea I have that i just thought of is somehow manipulating the Movie Clip symbol into a Graphic that spans 30 frames within one frame so that all 30 individual frames display simultaneously at a given frame. This is a theory that I don't think will work but there has to be an easy way to distribute the layers of a blend to individual frames and layers that can reside on top of one another.

Moving Center of a Radial Gradient

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is possible but I thought I'd ask. I'm using gradient overlay on an object. I have it set for a radial gradient. However it places the center of the gradient in the middle of the object. Is there a way to adjust this so that the center of a radial gradient would be at say.. the bottom of an object?
I have tried using the drag method instead of gradient overlay but can never seem to get the affect I want.
Any suggestions?

While trying to make the gradient, try making a shorter line or starting at a new location before where you want the gradient to appear.
Also if you make the gradient on its own layer, you should be able to move it to where you want it.
I hope that someone can give you better advice.

Editing characters in cell

How do we edit characters in a cell without double clicking with the mouse. In Excel F2 key allows editing of characters within the cell. Is there a keyboard shortcut in numbers to activate the cursor within a cell

Welcome to discussions.
The answer to your question is: Option Return or Option click in the cell. Yes not the same as Excel. Your question has been asked numerous times.
The above information is taken from using the Search function in these discussions. Being as you're relatively new to Numbers discussions please accept my suggestion to do the following:
1. In the upper right of Discussions, just below Search Discussions more options, click in the Search box type your request such as, in cell editing or some such.
2. Press Return
3. Change Restrict by Category or Forum: to iWork > Numbers,
4. Change Restrict by Date Range: to All,
5. Click search; you'll receive many hits. That's where I found the answer to your question.

Radial gradient, black to transparent

I am VERY new to photoshop and I am trying to learn how to use it. Currently I am using a tuturial to create a mystical photo with black edges. The directions say to use the radial gradient, black to transparent. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how this is done. Please describe, in as a much detail as possible, where I go to do this. Please remember that I am new, so I seriously need to know where to go to do something, not just how to do it. Thanks!!

Press the D key to set the toolbox colours to black and white.
With the Gradient tool selected, click on the drop-down arrow next to the little sample gradient up top in the Options bar.
The second option is Foreground to Transparent which is what you want.
You can now do your radial gradient.
(If you wish, you can edit the gradient in the gradient editor which opens when you click on the little sample gradient.)

Assuming you did this with a Fill Layer, double-click the thumbnail in the Layers panel to bring up the Gradient Fill dialog, see to it that the [ ] Align with layer checkbox is set, and (while the Gradient Fill dialog is still up) try dragging the gradient to where you want it on the main display. Then [ OK ] out of the Gradient Fill dialog.

Spry tool tip does not work in template or child pages within an editable region. Why not?

Ok. so I am getting pretty frustrated. I take the time to learn how to use CSS and to create a template page for a Contractor Site (www.ContractorInsurance.net). The idea is to create a page that I can use for different classes of Contractors...right?
Then I get all happy about being able to insert ToolTip onto pages to help the user. Great!
LIfe to turn to Sorrow after nearly five hours of searching for a "eeking" answer.
So what good does it do to have an Editable region to update if we cannot have the flexibility to insert a tool tip on child pages? Ok so the fast solution is to what... Have a question mark image, insert another apDiv, name it toolTip_Not and provide it with a show=hide behavior?

you will notice that a couple of lines have been placed in the HEAD section of the document. When using DW templates, the HEAD section is usually not editable, hence the error mesaage. By default, your template should have an editable region in it just before the closing tag. It looks like this:  Dreamweaver should be able to find that editable region and insert the
<script> tag there automatically. Because you don't have an editable region like that in the <head>, open the master template, and paste the code above just before the closing </head>

Applying multiple fills with radial gradient to one shape - Illustrator CC

Hi, I am following this tutorial (http://vectips.com/tutorials/how-to-create-realistic-vector-leaves-in-illustrator/comment- page-1/#comment-744800) and I am around step 6/7 where I need to add 3 new fills each with a different radial gradient, and then apply them to different areas of the leaf to create a variety of gradial tones.
However, once I have made the new fill I press 'G' to bring up the gradient tool, but when I click inside the leaf area my new fill disappears and the previous radial gradient fill I made is highlighted instead. Hope this makes sense, I just want to apply a slight light green gradient to the corner of the leaf as the tutorial describes in 'Step 7'.

The fill I want to use disappears, and the previous fill is selected instead.
I will point out (if it isn't obvious already) that I AM NOT experienced with Illustrator, but I want to understand why this isn't working.

Why are my radial gradients getting rasterized when I save SVGs?

I am using Illustrator CC 2014, for some reason I can't seem to save icons that have radial gradients as SVGs. The gradients are getting rasterized. I could do this no problem with previous versions of illustrator.

The same files? The exact same gradients?
Can you post a screenshot of those gradients?

Radial gradient corrupted during conversion from EPS10 into bigger JPEG

I use Illustrator CS4 and Photoshop CS4 extended.
recently came scross rasteirizing of radial gradient when convert from AI CS4 file to EPS10 file and then buyer converts it into big 4000x4000 pxls JPEG. Never experienced that before.
It is visible only after conversion EPS into big JPEG.
Linear gradients are all smooth after conversion but radial is corrupted.
I clean my illustration before saving as EPS.
When I save my illustration AICS4 as EPS10, I check:
-preview-transparent;
-transparency preset : high resolution 100%,
-convert all strokes in outline,
-convert text in outline (if I have it in my illustration);
-include CMYK PostScript in RGB file,
-Compatible Gradient and Gradient Mash Printing.
I check then EPS file for rasteirizing : window-links.
No sign of any rasteirization. All nice and smooth.
here, how looks corrupted radial gradient after conversion to big JPEG from small EPS10. Note, that on the bottom of image linear gradient is almost ok.
What I am doing wrong?
When I upsize my AI CS4 file to 4000x4000pxls and then convert to EPS10, and then into JPEG of the same size, - Radial gradient is smoother, almost perfect. But the size of of EPS file is too big and out of acceptable limits.

I need to provide my illustration saved as EPS10 with small Jpeg for preview via internet to the client, the way he requires to have it. I do not know why he wants it that way.
After receiving my EPS file with small Jpeg, he is making from that EPS10 file a big JPEG for his needs. It is what he wants.
When he is convertin' EPS10 file into big JEPEG, radial gradient becomes corrupted.
I followed his steps to try to undertstand what went wrong and got the same corrupted radial gradient in JPEG file, as you see on provided image.
What I want to know is how to accomplish what he wants without loosing quality.
Could you tell me, please, how to save illustration as EPS10 in Illustrator CS4 proper way.

However I am extending a system which stores dynamic SQL within an MDM column to facilitate a generic extract and load process. I am sure you are already aware in this type of scenario the business rules behind a piece of dynamic SQL defining a generic
extract process could easily exceed 4000 characters.

Set the work area on the timeline to the limits of the clip that you want to export. Then File>Export>Media.
You need to consider what the exported file is intended for, so you can determine a suitable format and preset for the export.
