"RC-50004: Error occurred in CloneContext" during R12 cloning
Hi,
I have installed Oracle Apps R12 on Linux server.
The installation was smooth with no issues.
Now I am doing cloning using rapid clone on the same server.
I ran the preclone on db and apps tier of source.
Then I shutdown apps + db and copied to target instance directories.
Now I am running the adcfgclone on db tier (the first step)
I run adcfgclone as orasimp user (not root)
I get the following error immed after I start the adcfgclone.

am trying to clone R12.1.1 with 11.1.0.7 from Linux5.5-32.bit to Linux5.8-64bit.
migrating is fails.
So please help me out of this.

DB cloning will not suffice the migrating process. In order to perform a cloning from 32 bit to 64 bit, please follow the instructions in the below note:

I'm trying to run adclonectx.pl non-interactively using a pairsfile and noprompt to automate my clone, this is to create the second node context file on the db tier of a 2 node Linux RAC environment and is the only bit that's still interactive so it would be really cool to get this working!
I'm using a pairsfile with all the variables from a sucessfull interactive run, I probably need to add more variables to this file though I can't figure out what.
Has anyone else got this working?

I have been trying to work my way through the stack trace and the source code. I can see that getInputFromUsers() is called and that then calls getInputDBRACAdd(). That will then call checkRACDBConnection(). The question is where in checkRACDBConnection() – source code below – is it finding the NULL?
I am guessing that as we don’t see the following in the log file:

In which case perhaps s_rachostlist needs to be set? But I think the length function should return 0 not NULL if something is unset, so perhaps not.
I am not sure there would be a problem with s_apps_user or the string assignment.
So perhaps it’s the loop.

‘i’ is set to 0. If m_racHostList.length is 0 that means it breaks out of the conditional and, though I don’t know enough Java to be sure, as the function throws an exception, perhaps it goes into the exception handler:

I've pulled these variables out of the java code and added them to the pairsfile which gets rid of the null value problem but now it returns a tns error..

we noticed that s_rachostlist is used for two different values in the java code, interactilvey this value is prmpted for twice using the same variable - this may be causing our problem.
strangely when run interactively the tns connectivity details are the same as when run interactively, the first works the latter doesn't ...
we're thinking this could be a bug...

I think this is different than the similar errors in Troubleshooting RapidClone issues with Oracle Applications R12 [ID 603104.1]...Yes, I have 11gR2 database at the moment.
To make sure... Are you referring to the target database system?
Now, I am still in the middle of cloning, and when I tried to run sqlplus I get the error saying that <SP2-0750: You may need to set ORACLE_HOME to your Oracle software directory>.
So yes, failure occurred in the early stage of running adcfgclone.pl script.
I took some more logs before RC-5004 error message.

An error occurred in system during account assignment RFC way
Hello Partners.
I created a function ( FM ) type RFC and this FM call CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN .
The function creates Service Reques 'BUS2000223'.
When I test the function locally, All is ok.
But when the function is called from SAP IS-U, I have a problem
The operation is created but with an error:
An error occurred in system XXXXX during account assignment
Errors occurred when assigning an account assignment object to a business transaction
CRM_ORDER_MISC 060
CRM_OFI 002
I don´t have standard integration with the service request with sap IS-U.

You need to assign the Controlling object type and as per the standard there are 3 controlling object types those are,
1) Single object Controlling --> The service order replicated to ECC creates a Internal order and finally cost and revenues are posted or settled in the cost center
2) Mass Object Controlling --> The cost and revenues of the service order are directly posted to CO-PA(Cost & Profitability Analysis)
3) No Controlling
Based on the business requirements you need to define the Controlling obejct,you will find the IMG customization path in ECC as follows,
IMG>Integration with other mySAP components>CRM>Settings for Service Processing>Controlling integration-->Establish Controlling type, Controlling scenario & Controlling level.

R12 cloning on RAC windows 2003 R2.

I'm facing this issue with R12 cloning on RAC environment in windows 2003 R2..
Steps Followed:
After preclone steps completed in Source servers
then on Target server..
1, On DB being in D:\oracle\product\TEST2\10.2.0\db_1\appsutil\clone\bin>perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier
error: perl is not recognized as internal or external command,
so we made changes in .env (.cmd) file like,
ORACLE_HOME:to new copied home
ORACLE_SID; test2
after we run the .env (.cmd) file.
now again i run the perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier
It is started, but then throw's an error like

Oracle R12 Clone failing with RC-00118 Error occurred during creation of...
Im encountering the above error message i have seen the below thread which looks like the same issue, i was wondering if someone could confirm if the clone process requires an off-line backup on the source system for the clone process to work. Currently i'm using a tape backup which runs overnight, the system is up at the time of backup.

Sorry, my mistake, I did not pay attention to the cloning part.
For this error, looks like the database was not cleanly shutdown before copying the files or that preclone was not run successfully. You will have to run preclone again, and shutdown the database normally, then copy the file again.

I execute following scripts on source system preclone.pl dbTier &perl adpreclone.pl appsTier
then take the cold source backup and transfer on another machine for cloning but when i am executing cloning script on db tier i am getting below mention error after 50% completion. I have very limited time and i cant go back on source system for fresh backup, please help me to sort out his issue.

Hi guys,
I am cloning and EBS 12.1.3 from one server to another, and when Configuring the target system database server with ''perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier'', I am getting the following error:
RC-50004: Fatal: Error occurred in ApplyDatabase:
Control file creation failed
MOS is saying that it is due to wrong permissions on the /var/tmp/.oracle directory and we should give it the following permissions:
chmod 777 /var/tmp/.oracle
After giving those permissions and rebooting the server , and running the perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier script, I am still having the same problem:

Hi Hussain,
After successfully configured the DbTier and AppsTier with their respective post clone scripts the appstier was automatically started at the end.
But now, I can't seem to connect with my IE 9 and Firefow browsers.

Please note i am doing the clonning from production to test server.
Production Server -
1. Run the adpreclone.pl on the apps & db tier.
2. run the autoconfig on the apps and db tier.
3. shut down the production instance.
4. Moved the files and started the clonning process on the db tier i am getting the below issue.

Check alert<SID>.log file for more details about the error.
It looks like that the source database was not cleanly shutdown before copying the files to the target node. Please do the following and check then:
SQL> connect / as sysdba
SQL> startup mount;
SQL> recover database using backup controlfile until cancel;
-- type CANCEL
SQL> alter database open resetlogs; If the above does not help, then shutdown the source database normally (make sure it is down), re-copy the files and start the cloning process again.
