Re:Actual Timing in Confirmation

Dear Gurus,
My client want the Actual Timing should be entered against the planned time while confirming each operation in production order in co11N/Co11
Is there any Customizing setting for this ?
Kindly guide
Ishwar

Hi,
In OPK4 / OPK0 you can specify that system should propose the qty, times etc when confirmations are being posted via CO11N. With this setting, system will copy the planned value into the confirmation screen, now the user needs to decide if these values need to be changed or should remain same depending on the time spent on the activity or yield.
I guess as a double check to ensure that the users do not post any confirmations without entering any values, you can activate one of the below exits to do a check & prevent posting confirmations if its blank. (discuss with your abaper which one suits your need the best).
CONFPP05 - PP order conf.: Customer specific enhancements when saving
CONFPP06 - PP Order Confirmations: Actual Data Transfer
Hope it meets your need.

  • Actual dates from confirmed activities are not rolled up to wbs

    Hi
    In my Business Scenario, I need Project Definition, WBS, and Network
    header to derive dates from activities assigned to them. I indicate the
    Project definition start date and rest of the schedule need to happen
    which is achieved through config i have done
    I have created a project with two WBS and one network attached to
    project definition. 4 activities of the network are attached to these
    WBS
    When I have done the scheduling, the basic dates are properly
    calculated for Project Definition, network header and WBS
    Now I have released the project and started confirming the activities.
    After complete conformation of 1st activity, i have schedule the
    project to see the dates. Now the dates of Project Definition, network
    header and WBS are derived by the activities which are not confirmed.
    Ideally the basic dates of Project Definition, network header and WBS
    are to be derived from activities confirmed and yet to be confirmed the
    way the basic dates are derived before confirmation.
    As a result of this the basic dates are showing wrong dates which are
    derived from unconfirmed activities
    Warm regards,
    Ramakrishna

    Hi,
    This is standard system behaviour.
    Basic dates at WBS level do not change based on activity confirmation. However, actual dates at WBS level  get updated from network activities based on confirmation.
    "Tentative actual start date for WBS element" and "Tentative actual finish date" get updated from activity confirmation in the case of WBS with activities assigned to it.
    This tentative dates can later be transferred as actual dates.
    Basic dates do not get automatically updated based on confirmation of activities

  • Actual Dates on confirmations

    Hi
    Is there a configuration or a standard way to update only the actual start date of the activity at the moment of partially confirm?
    Currently I get an error message "RU274 please enter either actual start and actual finish or none of the fields"

    Do you think there a posibility to workaround this with any of the confirmation users exits  or no posibility to "trick" the source code?

  • Actual capacity after confirmation

    Hi,
    How can I get the actual capacity per day.
    in CM01 I see the capacity requirement and the available capacity.
    When you confirm all the orders in a day you have the actual capacity it can be different
    with the capacity requirement.
    I need the actual capacity after the confirmation.
    Thanks
    Dede

    Dear Dede,
    As i could'nt undrstand ur requirment, but per my understanding
    1) The Moment We do final confirmation to Production order
    2) then all the remaining Capacity requirments of that order will set to Zero

  • Equpment PRT actual hours consumption, confirmation

    Hi,
    Equipment PRT assgined to Maintenance Order operation. For the PRT created measurement counter of same unit as we defined in operation and the counter reading initialized . The same counter is assigned to PRT.
    Now we need to confirm the actual duration of the PRT. How can i approach.
    Send me any solutions if you find with screenshots or testing notes.
    PRT Usage field: ARBI
    Maintenance Order operation unit: HR (hours)
    Measurement counter unit: HR (hours)
    Regards
    Chinnu

    Hi,
        Create the Equipment as PRT. Create Measuring point & counter plan for that equipment. Assign those in Equipment master.
    Further more, assign that PRT in routing. Give the usage value & everything in routing. This will be done by PP guys. Based on the production confirmation, measurement document will be created.
    Either running Deadline monitoring manually or automatically through background job, maintenance order can be created automatically.
    Hope this will help you.

  • New Material Deployment timing and confirming a Customer's  order

    I am new here, so I am sorry if this has been answered before.
    I searched but could not find the answer
    Anyway, we struggle with SAP not allowing an order to be entered before an item is fully deployed.
    My basic question:
    Is there anything one can do to allow an order to be entered and confirmed before an item is Fully Deployed?
    My company makes items that  are sold as Assemblies.
    Each new assembly has multiple components & most time many of the components are new as well.
    We give the new item to an Engineer to design and load the material in SAP.
    It will take him or her a week to develop the design(s) and maybe a hour or so to enter the material(s) in SAP.
    SAP data is not the constraint,  it just takes time to develop the Design of the product using Engineering tools like Pro-E, UG etc.
    Once Engineering is complete, we create multiple deployment requests for the new items that go to mulitiple areas
    Each area needs to add data and complete tasks in the Deployment Workflows.
    Example are Purchasing, packaging, operations, quality, costing etc.
    This can take weeks to complete, meanwhile we are unable to accept and confirm the Customer's  orders in SAP.
    This upsets our customers.
    We have already quoted a price and a lead time outside of SAP, and the project plan takes all this into consideration, but we can not accept or confirm the order in SAP until the full SAP deployment is complete. How do others  addressed this?
    I have asked this same question of many consultants and users and have always been told just deploy your product faster.

  • Timing of Confirmation from Consignee to Company during Consignment Issue

    Hi, The consignment process is something where the company keeps his stocks at consignee place with full ownership (consignment fill-up). When the consignee sells the stock then the consignee informs the company and company invoices the consignee (consignment issue). Now my question is what happens if the consignee sells the item and informs the company (owner) after sometime ? e.g. if consignee sells an items and informs the company after say 1 year, then by this time the consignee might have earned some interest on the sold items for  year and after 1 year it pays the amount to the company (owner). So the consignee profits more (one through higher selling price and second by informing and paying the amount to the company after sometime). To prevent this, is there any stock checking carried out from company side to the consignee ? Or does any other sort of process take place to prevent this ? Thanks.

    Hi there,
    In consigment process, stock is maintained as consignment special stock. When a consignment fillup happens, stock will still be under the pocession of the company but under consignment special spock.
    If you see the item catg KEN (consignment issue item) in VOV7, you will find that there is a special stock indicator W. When you raise a consignment issue order KE, basing on the item catg determination, automatically KEN will be proposed. So when you PGI a KEN item, stock will automatically deducted from consignment special stock. When the stock in consignment special stock reduces, it means that a consignment issue has happened.
    Also KEN item catg is relevant for billing. So when you PGI a KEN item, automatically system do pricing & will generate billing. (Note that for consignment fillup item KBN, there is no pricing or billing relevance).
    Basing on these settings, when a consignment issue happens, there is no need for some1 to inform the company. Even though the stock is there at a different location, consignment stock visibility is available in SAP.
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Operation confirmation display in REM

    Hi,
    In my REM scenario, I am doing backflushing in MFBF, this leads to auto goods issue and auto GR of finished product( No reporting point backflushing). I am doing 'Post with correction' and then entering qty for goods issue and then actual timing for activities.
    From the documents generated i can see how much goods are issued but from where can I check how much hours are entered for activities? moreover how can i change the data entered in activities if by mistake i have entered wrongly..
    Please guide
    Regards.

    1. if there is any report like we have in discrete COOIS??
    No report is available for REM process like coois, but we can see doument with the doc number (for GI and GR post )
    in MB03.
    2. is there any status change in planned order like we have in production order GMPS, CNG, DLV??I am manually creating planned order in my scenario?
    No, such status for the planned order. we need to confirm agaist the planned order. and once it confirmed . the particular planned oder ger vanished from the system.
    eventhough you have created the planned order maanualy
    3
    . in REM Is there any other way where we can have display of operation details which we have confirmed during activity backflush??
    No such report is there to check the activity as doc. but if you see the post doc log. in mf41. you can see whthere the operation is posted or not. but we cannot see the actual hrs that posted against planned one.

  • Timed loop and CPU usage

    Platform is WIN_XP Pro and machine is a P4 at 2.5Ghz with 512 Mb ram.
    LV7.1 + PCI 6229
    I am using  50ms Timed loop for running a state machine inside it
    and also a  whole lot of other things like reading / writing
    DAQMx  functions;  file I/O functions and such. As the
    project involves a  main and sub-panlel set up local variables
    could not be elimnated fully and there should be something like 150 of
    them. But not all are accessed always - maybe about 15 of them at any
    given time depending on the SM staus.
    Problem :
    Once started the "Finished late"  indication  is off and
    the  actual timing  alternates between 49 to 52 ms. The CPU
    usage is around 25%.
    But as time goes by,  the system gets unstable : After 15 minutes
    or so, the Finished Late indication is always ON and the CPU usage is
    gradually tending towards or exceeds 100%.
    Obviously the machine control timing now gets affected and things slow
    down badly. Closing the application ands restarting repeats the above
    cycle.
    I am at a loss  to understand what is happening ?  WIll
    breaking down the single Timed Loop to multiple ones help  ? WIll
    that be an efficient way of parallel threading ?
    I can post the code but its quite large and will do it as a last resort.
    thanks

    LV2012 to Automate Hydraulic Test rigs.

    Hello,
    It sounds like an interesting problem.  It would be worth some experimentation to figure out what's going wrong - attempting to decouple major "pieces" of the code would be helpful.  For example, you could try breaking your code into multiple loops if that makes sense in your architecture, but perhaps you could even eliminate all but one of the loops to begin with, and see if you can correlate the problem to the code in just one of your loops.
    Another concern is that you mention using many local variables.  Variable read operations cause new buffer allocations, so if you're passing arrays around that way, you could be hitting a problem of forcing your machine to perform many allocations and deallocations of memory.  As arrays grow, this can be a bigger and bigger problem.  You can use other techniques for passing data around your block diagram, such as dataflow if possible (just simple wires), or queues where dataflow can't dicatate program flow completely.
    Hopefully looking into your code with the above considerations will lead you in the right direction.  In your case, removing code so that you can identify which elements are causing the problem should help significantly.

  • Confirmation of activity types in CO11N

    Dear Experts,
    I have a small issue, while confirmation of production order in CO11N the activity type for the actual quantity is confirming but our requirement is that if we are confirming the half quantity means partial quantity, activity should also be confirmed for the half quantity.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Alok Tiwari

    Dear Bhupendra Singh,
    First of all thank you very much for your reply.
    I am trying to do the way you said but it is not happening.
    My requirement is if the production order quantity is 10 each and planned activity is 10 min for labor and if i want to confirm partially 5 each then the activity to confirm for labor should automatically propose me 5 min.

  • Serial Number. Production Order Confirmation. GR. UD. Sales Delivery

    Hi Gurus,
    Please help on this issue to get any user exits .....
    As part of Serial number management, we have a certain issues on serial number confirmation, goods receipt from production order and quality inspection with UD.
    Master data:
    Finished product material master, Workscheduling view, Serial number profile maintained " ASRN"
    Process flow:
    1) Avalon Specific Serial numbers generation for finished goods through production order release status.
                  (A11206000001)
                                        A  - Avalon
                                        1   - PCB Unit 1
                                        12 - Year 2012
                                        06 - Week
                                        000001 - Running serial number for the week.
    2) Production order confirmation through CO11n transaction.
    3) Production order Goods receipt through MIGO transaction against order.
    4) Quality Inspection with Usage Decision through QA32 transaction.
    5) Goods Issue for Delivery.
    SAP Product Error:
    1) System does not track and control the operation wise confirmed serial numbers during order confirmation.
    2) System does not track and control the finally confirmed serial numbers during order goods receipt.
    3) System does not track and control the last goods receipt qty in Usage Decision.
    4)  For semi finished product, if we maintain serial number profile in workscheduling view, system is not showing goods issue material list in Co11n transaction for the finished goods.
    5) Interfacing the serial number reading scanner with SAP,  is not working without entering material number and serial number manually.
    6) System does not tracking and controlling the last Usage Decision done serial number during Goods issue to Sale order Delivery.
    Regards,
    Santha

    Hi Santha,
    This is a bit vast, but I'll try to address at least some of the issues:
    1- serial number in operation confirmation is not possible, for the reason that serailization is part of stock management, and as WIP in an order, this is not stock yet. Actually you cannot confirm the manufactured material either, and those 2 go together.
    For tracking specificly WIP, there's something called WIP batches; you may look into it to see if you can use it.
    2- during GR system will propose those SNs that you have defined for the order at release or creation.
    3- ?
    4- GI in CO11N is provided only for BACKFLUSHED material components. Serialized materials CANNOT be backflushed.
    5- You can use a barcode reader to read the serial number (instead of keyboard entry) when cursor is on the right field in the respective screen.
    6- ?

  • HttpUrlConnection: Connection timed out: connect

    I am seeing a small percentage of my customers who cannot connect to my server through my Java program to download program updates. The commonality between the customers is that all (or most) of them seem to be from Australia, but I have some customers in Australia who CAN connect successfully. Probably a red herring.
    The problem is seen when creating a URL connection to a text file to read it. The file contains only 3 lines. Like I said, most users do not have a problem, but some do. Could it be that the connection is actually timing out, and if so, how do I lengthen the timeout? Most users say that they do not even have to wait 5 seconds before the error occurs.
    The user can connect to the URL with a browser and download the files that way, but this is supposed to be an automatic process. They tell me there is nothing wrong with their network. I'm wondering whether they might have a firewall in place, but when I block connections using my software firewall, I get java.net.UnknownHostException instead.
    The code looks roughly like this. I've added printlns recently and have not heard back from the customer with any results.
            String urlString = cUpdateLocation + cUpdateFileName;
             try {
                System.out.println("Create the URL: " + urlString);
                URL url = new URL(urlString);
                System.out.println("Open the URL connection");
                URLConnection urlConn = url.openConnection();
               System.out.println("Get an input stream");
                InputStream inputStream = urlConn.getInputStream();
                System.out.println("Define an input stream reader");
               InputStreamReader iReader = new InputStreamReader(inputStream);
               System.out.println("Define a buffered reader");
                BufferedReader bReader = new BufferedReader(iReader);
               String input = "";
               System.out.println("Read from the buffered reader");
                try {
                    while (input != null) {
                       input = bReader.readLine();
                        if (input != null) {
                            // Ignore blank lines
                          input.trim();
                            if (input.length() > 0) {
                                System.out.println("input=" + input);
                   System.out.println("Done reading from the buffered reader");

                    // streams and clean up while we have reference to them
    .                System.out.println("IOException encountered reading from:\n" +
                                      urlString + "\n" + e);
                bReader.close();
            } catch (MalformedURLException e) {
                System.out.println("URL " + urlString + " is malformed.  " +
                                   e.getMessage());
            } catch (IOException e) {
               // This is the exception that I normally see.
                System.out.println("IOException encountered creating stream to " +
                                   "read from:\n" + urlString + "\n" + e);
                e.printStackTrace();

  • Unable to check for purchases..... timed out.

    Hello.
    On 7/1/08 I bought 353 tv episodes.
    Initially a few downloaded while I slept that night, but then they stopped, and ever since then i've been getting this message.
    "Unable to check for purchases. The network connection timed out.
    Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."
    1. I don't use any sort of firewall or router.
    2. I don't have any anti-virus/adware/malware/etc software enabled.
    I've tried flushing the DNS, I've tried deleting temporary internet files, i've deleted cookies, history files, all that. I added it to trusted sites. There is nothing blocking this connection, and I can connect to anything else just fine.
    In fact, I can even connect to the store. If I purchase a song it will download.
    And a few times i've been able to get it started in the past 13 days to where I am down to only 179 left to download.
    It must have to do with how many things are in the queue is all I can imagine, although I have gotten it to work a few times.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.... 13 days and only able to download half of what I bought is really upsetting.
    Thomas Cag
    BTW I am using vista 32 bit
    Oh, and i've tried connecting with WIFI, WWAN and a cable modem connection.

    I am having the same problem, only a little more insidiously. What happened to me is I successfully downloaded a bunch of iPhone Apps, mainly with iTunes 7.7.0 under Windows XP. I then upgraded to iTunes 7.7.1 and when I tried to use the "Available Updates..." button on the Apps screen, I am told that I have not downloaded any of the purchases I already have. So I am told to "Check for purchases..." and I do this, but I always get the timed out message like you. It says it needs to download 292 things. It just doesn't make any sense! I can't update my apps because iTunes THINKS I haven't downloaded them, but I HAVE downloaded them. And what's more, iTunes thinks I need to re-download them, but when I try to do that, I get a Time out. And further, my theory is that it is BECAUSE there are 292 items it needs to download that it Times Out! I believe the connection is not actually timing out, but that the server is taking too long to assemble the message (plist) and thus the issue is really that the time outs in iTunes are set to short. I want to binary decompile iTunes and change the time out value but that would be illegal in my country, much as it would make people like you and me have a much sweeter life. Alas.
