Re: LiveCycle sending xml version bakc to us

Hi there, we are new to this softward and only testing it at the moment.
We quickly created a form and sent the pdf version to our selves for testing. We completed the form and sent it back and we received an xml file.
Is this the normal? Can it be changed so that it sends a pdf file back to us insted?
Cheers

That's weird. I have the problem the other way around.
If someone wants to send the form back to my account, I do only receive the filled pdf - but I chose "xml" in my options. What is wrong there?
Back to topic: Malhyp, you have to create a simple button, then choose "Object" on the right, then "Control field" -> Sending an then go to the next register "Sending", type your page or mailto:[email protected] an choose "pdf". Thats it! (I think the names of the buttons an so on sound strange because I use the german version - so don't worry...)

  • Problems sending xml data as string to a web service

    Hello!
    I need to develop a client in order to invoke a web service. I have the WSDL of the web service, so I generate a web service proxy, from that WSDL, using JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.
    Among other things, that web service receive RPC request (binding style is RPC) and the request has only one parameter, which consists of a string. That string must be an XML document (that is, the web service receives one parameter which is a XML document as a String). I generate that parameter, and it looks like the following:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <inputMessage xmlns="http://ws/validacion" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.o

    <request>ServiceRequest</request>
    <versionMsg>1.0</versionMsg>
    <data>AAAAAAAAAAAAAA</data>
    </inputMessage>
    However, when I send the request and capture it through HTTPAnalyzer, I get the following:

  • How to send XML using UTL_HTTP

    I am trying to workout how to send XML data to a webserver using UTL_HTTP but am not getting any reply
    I need to submit the following XML document to a server "http://api.fastsms.co.uk/api/xmlapi.php"  Their instructions are "The XML Document should be posted unencoded, with a UTF-8 character set as parameter 'xml'"
    If I submit the following XML on their test form
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <apirequest version="1">

    Hi Billy
    Yikes - how embarassing !  Thanks for pointing out my beginners mistake there.  I've fixed my code - and also implemented the substitutions of parameters like you suggested - I like that approach.
    Unfortunately the end result is no better - the line
    utl_http.read_text(resp,response_text);
    Still returns nothing back
    The headers that are coming back are
    Date: Thu, 04 Jul 2013 08:31:56 GMT
    Server: Apache/2.2.16 (Ubuntu)
    X-Powered-By: PHP/5.3.3-1ubuntu9.3
    Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT
    Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0
    Pragma: no-cache
    Vary: Accept-Encoding
    Content-Length: 0
    Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
    Connection: close
    I guess I will need to try chasing it with the fastsms vendor so see if they can check my incoming request and see if there are any glaring problems. I know the xml is correct as I am now logging the xml string just before I send it and when I take that string and put it in their test form it works perfectly - something else in the puzzle is missing. I've had no experience using utl_http before - perhaps it's no possible to read the xml repsonse using this ?
    Anyway, thanks for your help Billy.
    ps - How do you paste your code into your message to get that formatting ?
    Cheers,

  • Send XML File as attachement in Mail Receiver adapter

    Hi all,
    i have the following scenario. i would like to read an XML file from the file system and send this file as an attachement of a mail to a mail receiver specified in this file.
    i would like to fill the payload of the mail with some information from the xml file and in addition i would like to send the complete xml file as an mail attachement.
    can anybody tell me, how the mail receiver adater needs to be specified ?
    best regards,
    martin

    Hey,
    you can go for dynamic configuration of mail adapter.
    In this you need to import a mail structure.
    mail details such as to, from, subject and content of the mail are a part of the structure.
    In your ID check the Use Mail package and also keep attachments.
    Now you can give your details in mapping itself.
    whatever you want to map in the content of the mail, map it in the content field.
    also your file will behave as an attachment.
    refer to this blog.
    this is the mail structure. Import it as extenal definitions.

  • Leading ? xml version="1.0"? tag when creating / invoking web services

    Hello friends. I'm wondering if anyone has any insight as to why I cannot create
    a fully formed XML document when developing a web service which includes the standard
    <? xml version="1.0" ?> leading tag.
    If I include the leading tag in my XML mapping for a jws method, I am unable to
    compile the service into an ear, getting the following error: "An unexpected
    exception occurred while attempting to process the classes and annotations for
    this Web Service." If I do not include the leading tag, I can compile into an
    EAR file and invoke the web service from a HTTP POST, but I cannot include the
    leading <?xml...> tag in my request. Considering that I'll be asking other vendors
    to submit to my web services and creation of xml documents using DOM or other
    methods automatically generates the <?xml ...>, I'm hoping I'm not going to have
    to tell them to parse out this piece of the files they want to send me. Can anyone
    help?
    Thanks so much!
    CM

    CM,
    I suppose you have set 'http-xml=true' for this to work. For http-xml
    protocol, there is no way to specify the leading <?xml> tag, and hence
    unfortunately the desired functionality cannot be achieved.
    In case, this is very important for you, could you please log a support
    case, and then we can file a bug and ask the Engineering to look into it.
    Thanks,
    Anurag

    Hi Anurag -
    Thanks for the response. My problem is that I would like to be able tosubmit
    straight XML (i.e., not SOAP) to a webservice from an application outsideof Weblogic.
    For example, the following code block fails on submission to BEA:
    * Example Simple Integration.
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    public class testBEAPost {
    * Null constructor.
    public testBEAPost () {
    super();
    * This method handles creation of a PeopleSoft XML Envelope, wrapping of
    * user input into the envelope, submission of the message to theintegration
    broker
    * and display of the response message to the screen.
    * @created 3.12.2003
    * @param argv java.lang.String[] Standard user entry input
    public static void main(String[] argv) {
    try{
    URL url;
    URLConnection urlConn;
    DataOutputStream printout;
    DataInputStream input;
    // Create the internal XML document which will be to send to BEA.(hardcoded)

    String internalXMLDoc = "<? xml version=\"1.0\"?><newlocationxmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\"><setid>WMS</setid><l

    url = newURL("http://167.75.117.20:7001/WebServices/PeopleSoftWebServices/NewLocation
    Service.jws/createLocation");
    >
    // Open the Conection
    urlConn = url.openConnection();
    // Set necessary connection variables.
    urlConn.setDoInput (true);
    urlConn.setDoOutput (true);
    urlConn.setUseCaches (false);
    // Specify the content type.
    urlConn.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "text/xml");
    // Send POST output.
    printout = new DataOutputStream (urlConn.getOutputStream ());
    printout.writeBytes (internalXMLDoc);
    printout.flush ();
    printout.close ();
    // Get response data.
    input = new DataInputStream (urlConn.getInputStream ());
    String str;
    while (null != ((str = input.readLine())))
    System.out.println (str);
    input.close ();
    } catch (Exception e)
    System.out.println(e);
    If I run this program, I get a java.io.IOException with the serverreturning a
    500 error code. However, if I strip out the leading <? xml version="1.0"?> tag
    and submit to the web service, it works fine. My program set I createdthis example
    for uses DOM to create the document, so I'm actually creating thedocument, getting
    the String value of it, then parsing out the leading tag beforesubmission. My
    problem is that soon I'll be dealing with third parties who may havetrouble generating
    SOAP requests (don't ask), so I'd like to be able to tell them to generatesimple
    XML documents to send to BEA if at all possible.
    Can you assist? Thanks so much.

    Hi all,
    I am doing file to file scenario.When I use APPEND in the File adapter it is also adding <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    I need to send a file for every 10 minutes consolidate all files and send at the end of the day.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <ID>31154</ID>
    The next time when i send the file with different< ID>31155</ID>
    it should append ignoring <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    The consolidated file must look like this...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <ID>31154</ID>
    < ID>31155</ID>
    Thanks ,
    Srinivas

    Hey
    as pointed out by everyone else,there is no straight way for this,one thing u can do is that create two separate scenarios.
    in first scenario use content conversion on receiver side and keep on appending the text for 10 mins (guess this is ur pooling interval),now since ur using FCC u wont get <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>,you will get a flat file on receiver side.
    after 10 mins u can have one more scenario which picks up this flat file and this time use FCC on sender side so that it will convert this flat file to XML,in this way you will get <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> only once.
    hope this solves ur problem.
    just make sure that you specify correct polling intervals for both the scenarios.

  • Append with out duplicates ?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"? in receiv

    Hi,
    When I am Using append mode in file adapter,for each file that i send a seperate <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>  tag is getting generated in the target.
    eg:
    File 1
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <DEPT>
    <name>e1</name>
    </DEPT>
    File 2
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <DEPT>
    <name>e2</name>
    </DEPT>
    Result
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <DEPT>
    <name>e1</name>
    </DEPT>
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <DEPT>
    <name>e2</name>
    </DEPT>
    Here <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> tag is repeated.
    How to remove the same from 2nd time.so that my output file is displayed as follows
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <DEPT>
    <name>e1</name>
    </DEPT>
    <DEPT>
    <name>e2</name>
    </DEPT>
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
    Did you check the occurence of DEPT Node as 0..unbounded???
    Did You check the output from Test tab of Message Mapping???
    Did You use the Node function in mapping???
    if not
    You better use either Java mapping

  • Need to send XML msg to TP using B2B, but format should be Orcl XML Gateway

    Current Interface:
    ==================
    We have an EBS 11.5.10 with XML Gateway.
    Actively we were exchanging XML data with 5 trading partners (different application maintained by 3rd party) using EBS XML Gateway.
    XML Gateway uses OAG Format (attached the format bellow)
    Future Interface:
    =================
    Our company is in process of moving our EBS 11.5.10 app to Oracle Fusion Apps.
    Oracle Fusion app interfaces will be using Fusion Middleware and B2B.
    For that we doing a POC interface between a Fusion MDM and 1 Trading Partner.
    Problem:
    ========
    But, when sending XML message to other TP using B2B, the format is different. i.e. Message in the XML Format.
    Eg.
    <?xml version="1.0" ?><OUTB_FUS_IND_DATA> <OUTB_FUS_IND TRANSACTION_TYPE="TP_INDIVIDUAL_OB" TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE="INDIVIDUAL.UPDATE"> <OUTB_FUS_IND KEYVALUE="100010058799220" PERSON_FIRST_NAME="Xyz" PERSON_LAST_NAME="Abc"/> </OUTB_FUS_IND></OUTB_FUS_IND_DATA>
    Oracle XML Gateway send message with message envelop, which have attributes as text field and payload in the XML message format (XML Gateway envelope details is below).
    (Sample XML messages goes out: HTTP Body
    TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL=OXTA
    TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL_VERSION=1.0
    REQUEST_TYPE=SEND
    MESSAGE_ID=A1234567890ZZ0987654321
    MESSAGE_TYPE=XML
    MESSAGE_STANDARD=OAG
    TRANSACTION_TYPE=TP_INDIVIDUAL_IB
    TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE=INDIVIDUAL.UPDATE
    DOCUMENT_NUMBER=12345
    PARTYID=9999
    PARTY_SITE_ID=8888
    PROTOCOL_TYPE=HTTPSu2013OXTA
    PROTOCOL_ADDRESS=HTTPS://www.me.com/servlets/oracle.ecx.oxta.
    Therefore, when I receive the document in PI the mapping fails due to an incorrectly formed message payload. For example:
    TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL=OXTA&TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL_VERSION=1.0&REQUEST_TYPE=SEND&MESSAGE_ID=9EA3BD2......
    We want B2B send messages to other TP as same way XML gateway use to send.
    How we solve this issue?
    XML Gateway Envelope (Manual)
    =====================
    In addition to the business document such as a purchase order or invoice in the XML Payload, a set of message attributes are transmitted. Collectively, these attributes are called the XML Gateway envelope.
    This section discusses the XML Gateway envelope and its data in the validation process for inbound messages, or its source of data for its creation for outbound messages. Data entered into the Trading Partner Setup form is referred to as data in the trading partner table. Data entered into the Define Transactions form is referred to as data in the transaction table.
    Most of the data elements are copied from the Trading Partner tables or the Transaction tables to the XML Gateway envelope.
    Attribute
    =========
    MESSAGE_TYPE
    MESSAGE_STANDARD
    TRANSACTION_TYPE
    TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE
    DOCUMENT_NUMBER
    PARTYID
    SOURCE_TP_LOCATION_CODE
    PARTY_TYPE
    PROTOCOL_TYPE
    PROTOCOL_ADDRESS
    USERNAME
    PASSWORD
    ATTRIBUTE1
    ATTRIBUTE2
    ATTRIBUTE3
    ATTRIBUTE4
    ATTRIBUTE5
    PAYLOAD

    First of all EBiz and B2B/BPEL are two different products meant for different purpose and hence you cannot expect that EBiz and B2B/BPEL should have same functionality.
    Whatever headers you have mentioned, those are added by OXTA (Oracle Transport Agent) which is part of EBiz. You can add almost all these headers in Oracle B2B in "Additional transport headers" section of Transport Protocol Parameter.
    Search for "Additional transport headers" at below link -

  • Send XML Message via HTTP and Receive Response

    Hello,
    We have a scenario where we need to update Currency Exchange Rates in R/3 via a 3rd party called Oanda.  I'd like to use XI for this Interface, if possible.
    Basically, we need to send XML over HTTP.  Here's the URL and the XML we need to use for our POST (I'll need to perform the look-up for about 15 currency codes - I plan on using a BPM process to loop through each currency code specified in a flat file):
    http://www.oanda.com/cgi-bin/fxml/fxml?fxmlrequest=<CONVERT><CLIENT_ID>TestAccount1</CLIENT_ID><EXCH>USD</EXCH><EXPR>CAD</EXPR><DATE>03/25/2008</DATE></CONVERT>
    And the reponse looks like this:
    <RESPONSE>
      <EXPR>CAD</EXPR>
      <EXCH>USD</EXCH>
      <AMOUNT>1</AMOUNT>
      <NPRICES>1</NPRICES>
      <CONVERSION>
        <DATE>Mon, 24 Mar 2008 20:00:00 GMT</DATE>
        <ASK>1.0257</ASK>
        <BID>1.0251</BID>
      </CONVERSION>
    </RESPONSE>
    I plan on mapping each reponse to BAPI_EXCHRATE_CREATEMULTIPLE, using BPM.
    So my question is this:  Should I use the HTTP adapter for the out going POST to Oanda?  If so, would the HTTP adapter be consider the sender or the receiver?  Also, how would the XML message be automatically appended to the end of the URL (i.e., after the fxmlrequest parameter)?  I guess I'm a little confused on how to use the HTTP adapter...  Are there any blogs that discuss this type of scenario?
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi guys,
    I have few concerns for setting up this scenario.
    1). I have created a data type for request mapping, and teste the mapping.
    The output looks like below:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
      <ns1:MT_CONVERT xmlns:ns1="http://test.com/ExchngRate">
       <CONVERT>
         <CLIENT_ID>test</CLIENT_ID>
         <EXPR>CAD</EXPR>
         <EXCH>USD</EXCH>
         <DATE>10/21/2009</DATE>
         <AMOUNT>1</AMOUNT>
       </CONVERT>
      </ns1:MT_CONVERT>
    How to pass only
      <CONVERT>
         <CLIENT_ID>test</CLIENT_ID>
         <EXPR>CAD</EXPR>
         <EXCH>USD</EXCH>
         <DATE>10/21/2009</DATE>
         <AMOUNT>1</AMOUNT>
       </CONVERT>
    to the receiver HTTP adapter.
    2) I am using URL address in the receiver HTTP adapter.
    Target Host: www.oanda.com
    Path Prefix: cgi-bin/fxml/fxml?fxmlrequest=
    What is will be Service Number?
    Looking forward for you help. Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Send XML from ERP TO PI and then to vendor without any additional xml tags

    Hi All,
    We have an xml document in ERP which we want to sign and send it to an external provider using the SOAP Adapter.
    We have signed the xml by using java mapping.
    Then the integration server is to take this String and resend it as is to the external provider using the SOAP adapter.
    This however doesn't work because the message sent to the external provider is already an xml document like the following:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <ns0:request_DT xmlns:ns0="um:ournamespace">
    <payment>
    here is a hexadesimal for singed xml.
    </payment>
    </ns0:request_DT>
    i tryed to use java class to remove extra tags from operation mapping but once i tested it i got the following error message
    "Unable to display tree view; Error when parsing an XML document..."
    Also i used XSL in the operatin mapping to replace unwanted tags. but i got same error.
    Nw , how can i remove the additional tags ?
    Thanks & BR,

    Hi,
    >>Moreover you maintain that I should use XSL/Java Mapping .I have XSL for removing extra tags and java mapping as well.

  • Send XML through JSP pages

    Hi friends
    I was wondering if it's possible to send XML data when a form button is pressed. Suppose we have in the client machine a browser displaying a HTML Form with one text inputtype and one button to send this information to the JSP Server. If the inputtype's name is 'user' it's easy to retrieve this information in the JSP component, just a request.getParameter("user") would work fine. But I want to send the text of the inputtype through XML. Something like :
    <data>
    <user>
    smith
    </user>
    </data>
    How could I tell the browser to send the information through XML ? Is it possible ? And how could I retrieve this XML data in the JSP component ?
    Thanks a lot

    What I have done is working with 'bare hands', I'll paste my simple code here:
    This is my HTML page for colleting the info:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Envio de XML</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <form action=http://remoteaddress:8080/Proyecto/xmlsend method=POST>
    <BR>
    <BR>Numero Movil
    <input type=text name=numero>
    <p>
    <BR>Operadora
    <input type=text name=operadora>
    <p>
    <BR>Mensaje
    <input type=text name=mensaje>
    <p>
    <input type=submit value=Aceptar><input type=reset value=Limpiar>
    </form>
    </body>
    </html>
    And here it's my servlet code to process and convert it to XML:
    import java.io.*;
    public class xmlsender extends HttpServlet
    public void service(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res)
    throws ServletException, IOException
    ServletOutputStream salida = res.getOutputStream();
    res.setContentType("text/xml");
    String cadenanumero = req.getParameter("numero");
    String cadenaoperadora = req.getParameter("operadora");
    String cadenabody = req.getParameter("mensaje");
    salida.println("<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\"?>");
    salida.println("<mensaje id=\"000001\" tipo=\"SMS\" fecha=\"2004-04-26T10:54:33\">");
    salida.println("<numero>" + cadenanumero + "</numero>");
    salida.println("<operadora>" + cadenaoperadora + "</operadora>");
    salida.println("<body>" + cadenabody + "</body>");
    salida.println("</mensaje>");
    Don't know if this is what you want, but maybe it can at least illustrate you, I hope so.

    Hi Madhu,
    Lets be clear here. If the first message is different to the second one, then the second message could be a non-serializable message. So we can't consider working of first message as proof to prove it would also work for send message.
    If this orchestration is working for a while and failed all in sudden, then we need to investigate why? See how do you construct the second message. Trace the orchestration and see what's been sent/created for second message. Check whether the second message
    is a valid XMLDocument. Also as said before, try to make the shape into an atomic scope and see whether it makes any difference.

  • Query regarding sending XML over HTTP Post request

    Hello,
    I am trying to send XML data from a server to client via HTTP Post request
    And vice versa receive the data by a client
    Assume that the xml data looks something like
    <?xml+version="1.0"?>
    So my post query will look like
    http://<IP Address>:<port>/
    POST /MessageReceiver.jsp HTTP/1.0
    Host: www.SomeHost.net
    Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
    Content-Length: 38
    %3C%3Fxml%2Bversion%3D%221.0%22%3F%3E+
    This information will be received by the client and converted back to xml data.
    My query is - is there some library/open-source stuff that
    does the process of transcoding the entity's non-ASCII characters
    at the server side
    and decoding the URL back to human-readable form at the client side?
    i.e. I need a simple mechanism to convert
    <?xml+version="1.0"?>
    to
    %3C%3Fxml%2Bversion%3D%221.0%22%3F%3E+
    at the server side, while sending data
    and do the opposite at the client side to get the xml back.
    Also could some one confirm if JTidy is a right tool to check if the xml is well-formed?
    Or is there any other standard tool that checks for well-formed properties of xml?
    regards,
    Deepak.

    java.net.URLEncoder / URLDecoder?
    Also could some one confirm if JTidy is a right tool to check if the xml is well-formed?No, it's for parsing HTML. An XML parser is checking for well-formedness in any case.
