RE: Processing Logged messages in batch mode ?

Paul,
One way to findout the log file is to inspect your
<CentralServer>.log. It should have a line something like..
Redirecting output to <someDirectory>/forte_ex_26564.log.
That is the file the the current ftexec is writing to.
This has worked fine for me.
Another way is to sort the files by date, and look at the latest
ones.
...I'd love to hear about a better way to do this.

Subject: Processing Logged messages in batch mode ?
Hi,
When I launch partitions, they display a whole bunch of 'useful' messages.
(maybe using 'task.logmgr.putline')
I'm afraid these traces go directly in the launcher's log file under
$FORTE_ROOT/log
As I get control only when the ftexec ends for the next instruction to be
interpreted,
how can I figure out which of these log files relates to the ftexec I just
got executed ?
(example: "forte_ex_3613.log")
I found '/output' for node managers, but for single ftexec(s) ?
(thinking also about re-used ftexec(s))
Thanks in advance,

If you rename your partitions' log files before running the app and do the
renaming according to each partitions' purpose or partition number, then
after running the app, just go to the approprate log file. You can do the
renaming using system agents so that it is not a manual process.
Essentially, you know in advance where the output goes.

In case of installed applications or running in distributed mode, you can
use econsole to choose the appropriate active partition and view the log
file for it. The "log file" window also displays the name of the
    particular
log file. In case of installed applications, you can also rename the log
    file for your partitions.

  • Repetitive "Exception during idle processing" log message from servermgrd

    Hello,
I'm at my wit's end trying to find the answer to this issue, and I don't have any clue where to begin. In /var/log/system.log, I'm receiving the following message approximately once per minute:
Apr 17 13:51:21 www servermgrd\[83317\]: Exception during idle processing: * -\[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:\]: attempt to insert nil value (key: FilePath)
There are usually no other messages in the log near these errors; when other messages are nearby, they are self-explanatory and appear unrelated. The message never changes except for the time stamp and the process ID for servermgrd.
Any suggestions on where to begin would be extremely valuable. Thanks!

    Hi
I am working with ABAP Mapping program. I had created ABAP class using ABAP workbench. Before this, in exchangeProfile..data was provided for com.sap.aii.repository.mapping.additionaltypes ==>> as " R3_ABAP|Abap-class;R3_XSLT|XSL (ABAP Engine) " and 'Saved'.
In Interface Mapping, after providing the Class Name under 'Mapping Program' and activated. After activation (Standard Change List), it is showing the following messages under 'Processing Log'.
--> Standard Change List - Process Log message
Activation of the change list canceled Check result for Interface Mapping IM_ABAP_MAPPING | http://ABAP_Mapping_SREE:  Type R3_ABAP of

Can some one please guide me in resolving the ABAP mapping issue.

    Sree,
The log says that there is ABAP mapping included in your exchange profile. Do the things what michal have told and also check your mapping program whether working fine or not in SXI_MAPPING transaction.

  • Difference between maximum concurrency and batch mode in JDBC

    Hi All,
Could som one tell me the difference between maximum concurrency and batch mode in receiver JDBC adapter?
    Regards,
    XIer

    Hi,
The Max Concurrancy and Batch mode are used for performance tunning for JDBC adapter.
Max Concurrancy is possible upto 5 only. so even if you will be taking up 10 it will by-default take 5.
The number of records being processed depend on the size of each record. for e.g Per minit XI Is Processing 50 Records,It will Take lot of time to process all Records.
So if you set Max concurrancy as 5 then at time 5 messages will be processed simultaneously.
In Batch mode it will, collect the multiple SQL statements that will be created for records to be processed and processed at a time. It will  improve performance considerably.
But Batch Mode is possible with only INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE etc.
The Stored procedures can be executed with max concurrency
Thus it completely depends that on the no of records to be processed at a time and volume of Mesasges.
    Thanks
    Swarup

  • No processing log exists

Hello All,             In ME23N for a PO for perticular output type in messgae processing log not exsiting. But i have check for other Output type log is showing.     So please help me out why the log is not showing for here. Thanks and Regards Sankil

    Hi Sankil,
To answer your question, I need the following information -
Does the same print program cater to all PO output types ?
Is it a custom print program.
For analysis, first check the dispatch time of the output type in tcode NACE. If it is '4', it is processed immediately when PO document is  saved. If it is '3', then output will get triggered through tcode ME9F. For '1' & '2' , through  program RSNAST00.
If the output is successfully processed and dispatch time is '4', you will see green light.
If the output is waiting to be processed, you will see yellow light. This happens when dispatch time is '3' ( '1' OR  '2' is also possible ).
If there is error and it is your custom print program, we generally set RETCODE variable <> 0 in FORM ENTRY of our print program.
The processing log messages are updated by FM 'NAST_PROTOCOL_UPDATE' .
If your print program is a custom one, check whether the program contains call to FM 'NAST_PROTOCOL_UPDATE'.  If the FM is not there in your program, log will not get updated. So you need to add it after processing the output ( copy the code from the standard one ). If FM exists, put a breakpoint in CALL FUNCTION 'NAST_PROTOCOL_UPDATE' and see why the log is not getting updated. You can also add custom messages using 'NAST_PROTOCOL_UPDATE'.
    Regards,
    DPM

  • Display error message in batch job log

    Hello
I have a batch job running and I have an error coming during some validation logic.
The problem is I need to continue the batch job when this error message comes and it should not cancel the batch job as it is doing currently but display that error message in batch job log, there are more similar error messages coming in job log and job gets finished, but when my error message comes job gets cancelled.
I cannot give it as info message as it will give wrong idea about message type.
Is there any FM by which we can add message in job log?

Sanjeev I have done that but problem is I do not want to give that as Information message but Error message only and continue processing.
If you see in screenshot 3rd message is given by me as information and you can see error messages also 6th and 7th and job continued till it is finished
Basically I want that 'I' to be displayed as 'E'.

What process constantly changes /var/log/messages* mode back to 640? I want to disable that. Thanks.

I would guess logrotate.  Have you checked /etc/logrotate.d/syslog?  Does it specify a particular permission there?
If not specified, logrotate should retain the permissions of the existing file.

    Hi Experts,
During delivery against process order for all SFGs and FGs, we are getting warning message u201CInvalid batch according to selection criteria in batch determinationu201D.
Following settings maintained for batch determination in process order.
Condition table for order/material type maintained
Access sequence maintained for order/material type
In strategy type above access sequence has been maintained. The common class and sort sequence created for all materials in the plant have also been assigned to this strategy type. In batch split changes allowed box has been checked and quantity proposal maintained as 1.
In search procedure control maintained for order/material type. Search procedure has been assigned to all process order types and check activated.
In spite of the above when GR for order is taking place , system is throwing warning message.
GI of components is being done through backflush and without any warning message.
Please advise how to ensure proper batch determination during GR against order.

  • Message Processing Log

    Hello,
I have a message processing (outbound idoc in MIRO) performed by a custom subroutine. How can I add a detail processing log so it can be seen in the output screen (MIRO->Go to->Message->Header->Process Log)?
    Thank you,
    Leon

    Leon,
In your custom subroutine, give all your messages as information messages, as many as you want. These will be displayed as a part of the processing log of the message output.
As the program gets executed in the background, you should not see it on the screen.
I just figured out that you can NAST_PROTOCOL_UPDATE function to update the processing log with all the information messages you want.

    Ravi

  • Send Message from Process Chain Step without Process Log

We send a mail message, depending on the success or failure of the process chain step, to user list.
When the message is sent not only custom message but also the status information and the process log are sent.
Our users are only interested about the result of the chain and they don' t want to view all technical information.
Is it possible to send message without process log?
    Regards

    Hi,
Take 2 process(red and green line) from each of the process in the process Chain, one is for sucessfull and other is for failure and at the end of the proces chain,  just put all failure process to the OR and have add a ABAP Program (with Not Sucessfull) and then just put all sucessfull process to the AND and have add a ABAP Program (with Sucessfull) .
This wil send the mail to the users, when ever there is failure in PC any where, or sends a mail ..if the process chain completes sucessfully.
If you want only add the send of mail option at the end of the process chain, we can just add 2 process (red and green line) and have same flow as above. so that.. it will only sends mail..when there is failure or sucessfull of the process chian.
    Hope it helps ......

  • Batch process error message

    Hi there
Last time i used photoshop everything was fine. and then all of a sudden none of my custom actions work with a batch process. a message keeps coming up saying
"the command "image size" is not currently available"
If i click continue it pops right back up saying the same but for the next process and again and again with every process in my action.
It does this on any photo and with any custom action i have saved
Interestingly if i just open the photo and click play on the action without going through the batch process... it works fine.. so its nothing wrong with my actual action.
Has there been a bug introduced with a live update along the way?
Its very very annoying as i regularly batch process 100s of photos for the web and now im having to do them 1 by 1!!
thanks in advance for any help.
how can i roll back an update in photoshop??

Photoshop does not have a live update so your problem must be with something else.
    Geoff.
