FYI, I also have received a 'system/segmentation' fault, when I do
File->Revert in my project workshop. As a workaround, I released my lock on
each component individually.

I completely uninstalled everything associated with firefox in synaptic package manager, then reinstalled the latest version of firefox again.
Evidently one of the add-ons was preventing firefox from opening, not sure which one though. I hope this will help someone else. Firefox is working now.

In response to the OP. It seems that _if_ you are _not_ activating the LVM option in rc.conf, but the rc.shutdown script LVM2() detects the /sbin/lvm command, then it attempts to run the command, anyway. The problem you had seems to be related to the fact that the LVM command, when first run, creates some devfs nodes(!?). If you've never run the command before shutdown(after devfsd has been killed), then you get that error.
I'm gonna open a bug to request the LVM()'s in rc.shutdown eval the $USELVM in rc.conf before acting.
To answer anyone else's question about how to workaround this in meantime: just run the following, once, before shutdown:
#lvm vgchange --ignorelockingfailure -a n
OR
pacman -R lvm lvm2

Go to RZ20 - Technical Expert Monitors - All systems/segments. You will then need to drill down to the concurrent users metric, click on "detailed information" (it is a button on the toolbar) and then select the period (start and end date). From memory I think the data is broken down per client.

Alter rollback segment

I am trying to issue the statement :
ALTER ROLLBACK SEGMENT "SYSTEM" STORAGE ( MAXEXTENTS UNLIMITED);
But I get a message saying that
ORA-01681: Parameter unlimited_rollback_segments must be set TRUE for this operation
ORA-02226: invalid maxextents value (max allowed : 505)
how could i make it to unlimited

404045, why are you trying to change the system rollback segment? It should only be used by Oracle to support internal operations.
Allocate non-system rollback segments in their own tablespace (or use undo tablespace) and leave the system segment alone!
The error messages are pretty clear. You have to set an init.ora parameter to make use of the unlimited value with rollback segments. At least for the version of Oracle you are using.

Problems moving distribution from one environment to another
Initially we have the environment as below:-
Production :-
Server1 : AIX Environment manager (dealing with conductor, web, db)
Server2 : NT Node manager (dealing with outlook)
Development :-
Server3 : NT Environment manager (dealing with conductor, web, db)
Server4 : NT Node manager (dealing with outlook)
Currently, we intended to change the production environment via
changing the Server1 to Server3, as the new environment
manager, while the node manager unchanged.
Things that we've done in Server2, the node manager for
production environment:-
1) Pointing to Server3 instead of Server1, by changing Forte
Control Panel and changing registry entry.
2) Re-deploy the needed libraries in the new environment, so
that it can has the updated version.
3) Re-olegen the vb component.
4) Re-deploy the whole application.
However, we're facing the following problems/error messages
for the newly deployed Forte application:
1) Failed to bind to object named (/wfuseraccessobj/odbso/1)
2) Failed to bind to object named (/wfuseraccessobj/emailso/1)
These errors are actually refer to the libraries that used by
Conductor in order to perform database retrieval, and emailing
functions. These functions were worked properly in the initial
environments.
NOTE: The first error could be okay when refreshing the internet browser
(as our system is a web-based system), somehow it keeps on occurring every
now and then.
Please advice on this matter and reply ASAP as the project
delivery is crucial for our side.

Yes. I organize all my film rolls by name. If I import new pictures that don't fit into an existing film roll name I create a new film roll with a name appropriate to the theme of the new pictures. No problem with this.
However, if I import pictures at a later date that I want to move to an existing film roll, there is a problem if scrolling is required to bring the existing film roll into view in the display pane.
For example, I have a film roll called "Flowers & Plants". I later import a roll that contains some pictures that I want to move to the Flowers & Plants roll. The Flowers & Plants roll is not visible in the display pane so scrolling is necessary. I select and drag the new pictures up (the new film roll is always at the bottom of the display pane) to reveal the Flowers & Plants film roll. However, the film rolls scroll by so fast it is virtually impossible to stop on the Flowers & Plants roll's title bar.
This was not a problem with earlier versions of iPhoto on slower Macs. I really appreciate the much improved iPhoto/Mac performance but I wish there were some way to control this aspect.

Doubts in the rollback tablespace

Dear Gurus,
I created a database using dbca to do it...
The creation was fine, but when I looked at the rollback segments at OEM I saw that the tablespace of the rollback is the system tablespace....
Now I have a doubt, the tablespace of the rollback segment wasnÂ´t to be the UNDOTBS1?

rollback segments show the active undo segments used in ur database (database vide), as system segment is created as the database created for system table space undo activities, further the oracle by default create and drop undo segments automatically and will not show in rollback segments , u can view the active created segments in v$rollstat view which are system generated. you can create your custom undo segments but for that u have to set parameters in initial parameter file and have to tell oracle to manage undo segments manually.

FDM ERPI mapping problem

Hi,
I am using FDM ERPI,in this I got strucked in mapping situation,
my question,
my source system is having two different segments, and target system is having one dimension with two functionalities(two segments) of source system segments.
ex:
source system ---Account and Currency(like 12345 and USD)
Target system --- Account+currency.(like 12345USD)
what option I have to select from mappings :single segment,cancatnate segment,detailed mapping or FDM mapping.
is it possible from ERPI ,

Idoc type conversion

Hi,
For the idoc transfer from system A to System B. The idoc type defined is different in the 2 systems(segment definitions are the same) . So i have mentioned the mapping required for conversion in we70 and we73 in system B. Even after this , the idoc in not being converted to the format as specified in system B.

can anybody tell me, how can I solve this issue on CM? Our CM is receiving RDRs, but SCE reporting shows only data till 2 weeks ago. server has lot ot free space, SCE devices are connected to CM (ad they are sending rdrs).

Segmentation violations can be caused by different
situations. Force compiling works well in clearing
most SV's. It is advisable to first clear all
breakpoints, force-compile your plans and run your
application. If you still get the SV then run in debug
mode to identify the problem area.

Hi Jean-Paul,
As described in the Technote 10981 some Forte programs (Nodemanager and
router) handle correct the high-file descriptor-use problem. It is possible
that Forte interpreter do it correct too.

Serialization errors can also come from mismatched id's in plans. This
happens when you have 2+ repositories containing the same code but having
different id's inside the plans. Applications built from these multiple
repositories will not be able to communicate with each other. Serialization
errors will occur when they attempt to. To fix this. Make sure that you
export all code with the "ids" flags. Check your fscript manual for more
information on this, but basically it is something like
exportworkspace <path>/<filename> ids
Overwriting a plan in Forte even with the overwrite command will not
overwrite the id's. So it might be necessary to junk a repository and start
it from scratch, importing the id's into it. This will ensure that all of
your "shared" code in the multiple repositories are in synch. And yes, this
is a huge pain.

I want to know the no. of users who logged on my SAP system on the previous days.

Dear RAP,
If you have correctly configured CCMS on your system - activated background dispatching and assigned a reorg schema you will have several months of concurrent logon data in CCMS.
Go to RZ20 - Technical Expert Monitors - All systems/segments. You will then need to drill down to the concurrent users metric, click on "detailed information" (it is a button on the toolbar) and then select the period (start and end date). From memory I think the data is broken down per client.
ST03N can give you some data on users. Configuring system auditing SM19/SM20 will give you detailed data that you could download to Excel. SAP also has a system measurement tool.
Each method will give you data in a different format.
