Reading back file for analysis purposes controlling X-axis

Alright, I lose using labview.  I use it for a ton of different projects at work.  I have been fooling around with this for a while and maybe I am just missing it.
Here goes, in one of my applications I record 4 AI channels at various rates (6, 600, 6000) Hz, I write the data to three different files depending on the record speed.  I create a .txt file using the "write to file" wizard.  I check the option to use one time column.  In the end I get a nice file with 5 columns the first being my time, and the other four being the data on the 4 AI channels.
Now I am trying to read this file back to graph and perform some analysis on it.  I have tried this a few different ways, with using charts and graphs.  My question is is there anyway to grab that first column and set it as my x-axis.  Right now the x-axis really dosn't make much sense.  Even if it graphed it as a sample number would be good.  Any help would be greatly appreated.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,
attached vi will read your data...
When you rename your txt to .lvm you may also use the "Read from measurement file" function. As I'm not using the dynamic datatype (DDT) (so far) I don't know how to separate the single signal from the output - but it is shown in the properties dialog...
"Spreadsheet string to array" is located on the string palette - like any other string function too
Best regards,

VIDEO_TS (and an empty audio_ts) folders are part of a standardised DVD structure.  So, what you need a DVD-authoring tool.  FCPX offers to create a very simple DVD, one movie, two designs (black or white), no menu, done.  Older Macs came pre-installed with iLife/iDVD  … export your project as a 'Master', drag into iDVD, select any design template ...   Apple axed 'disk creation' about 7 years ago ... the AppStore is crowded with other, convenient, consumer, template based  tools. Professional structured DVDs are only optional with obsolete DVDSP (part of FC-suite) or Adobe Encore .....

    libimta.so 6.2-7.05 (built 12:18:44, Sep 5 2006)
We recently have started to see the following errors in our http logs:
[01/Mar/2007:13:03:43 -0500] httpd[5174]: Store Critical: Unable to read index file for user/<uid>: System I/O error. Administrator, check server log for details.
It's occurring a couple of different times during the day to certain users. Then it won't happen for days to anyone, but then start up again. I saw a similar thread to this re: IMAP and I'm curious if http could be having the same problem. We increased the number of process of http (from 2 to 4 a few months ago) but kept the same maxsessions (6000), so maybe I need to change the maxsession to something lower? We only started to see the I/O error two weeks ago We're not seeing the error in imap logs. Also there's no errors in the default log related to the users that receive this in http.
I'm planning on running a reconstruct -m in the mean time to see if that helps. There have been no changes to the server or application for quite some time. Any thoughts?

Yes, http can have the same issue. Yes, lowering the maxsessions from 6000 is the answer, IF it's the same problem. Likely, but not guranteed.
If you actually look at the store.idx for that particular user, what do you see? Is it near 2 gig? If so, then the user needs to either delete some messages or move some to another folder, as 2 gig is the limit for the store.idx file.....

  • While signing a .XML file a message "cannot read the file for signing" is displayed. What is the solution.

An official site incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in requires .XML files to be uploaded. When .XML files are uploaded without digital signatures there is no problem. When digital signatures are required for signing the same a message 'CANNOT READ THE FILE FOR SIGNING" is displaced. It happens with CHROME and IE also. The solution which I have devised is that I copy the .XML files in a folder called FAKEPATH in C: drive and pick the file for signing from this folder. The browser allows the file to sign with digital signatures. What is the solution.

  • Patch 14 PDB files (for support purposes)

I am attemting to apply patch 14 after the initial installation of SAP GUI 7.10.  As a relative newbie to SAP GUI responsibilities, can anyone advise if I require both Patch 14 files?  The SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 patch installed without any errors; however, when I tried to install the PDB files (for support purposes) I received a .NET error 'object reference not set to an instance of an object'.  Is this files required in order for me to proceed?  Any suggestions for reference material?
    Thanks, Johanna

    Hello Johanna,
no, you don't need the PDB file. It's only for support issues and you will be asked from support to install that too if needed.
So just install the Patch file. That's fine and enough.

  • Newbie question -  How to read all files for a backup

    Hello all,
I have two users on my iMac. I am an administrator and the other user is a Standard user.
From my account, I wish to run backup software that will backup the entire "User" directory. The problem I am having is that when I run the backup software (fyi: iBackup),
it complains that it cannot read the files in the other user's account.
I notice that when I browse to the other user's account, all the directories in their home folder are locked.
How can I run my backup software so that it can read all files in the User directory?
    Thank you kindly!

    Hi kneecarrot !
I don't know if this will suit your needs, but one easy way of backing up other user's stuff is via the terminal . If you have an admin accountm just use:
    sudo ditto -rsrcFork /Users /Volumes/"nameof_anotherharddrive"/Users
This will perform an identical clone of all your users home direcories for backup purposes. To restore the bkd'up files, just reverse the lines:
    sudo ditto -rsrcFork /Volumes/"nameof_anotherharddrive"/Users /Users
ATTENTION: Be aware that it will restore the files to the exact structure and contents it was when backed up, erasing all new and modified files!! You may however copy just the files/folders you want to recover, e.g.:
    sudo ditto -rsrcFork /Volumes/"nameof_another_harddrive"/Users/"usera"/Documents /Users/"user_a"/Documents
IMPORTANT: As with all terminal commands... be careful, think twice and double-check the syntax. You may want to test with non-critical stuff or demo user accounts first.
    Good luck,
    Michael

  • Read EDS file for EtherNet IP

    Hi friends,
I need to check the EDS file for EtherNet IP communication. I want to read the EDS file, verify the vendor details and parameters that are being written into the EDS file for a verification purpose.
Is it possible to read the EDS file for EtherNet IP?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi gnshmrthy,
The example posted from the KB should work with your EDS file.  I was able to successfully use it with the default values for the section (Device) and key (VendName).  I think you are running into issues because you are using an invalid value for the Key.  In this image, I'm using a red arrow to point to the section and I'm circling the different keys that are valid.
Following this you should see results like this:
Let me know if it works!

  • Setting Portlet Preference in Backing File for Clipper Portlet

    Hi All,
I have a clipper portlet, and I am setting the preferences(for form based authentication & passing application data dynamically) in the backing file which is then associated to the Clipper portlet. I looked up at the clipper constants that are available; and the example they have given is
    portlet.setPreference(LOGIN_FORM_EXTRA_PARAMS, "name1=value2&name3=value4")
My question is what is this "portlet"?? is it an instance?? then whose instance/object it is?? how am I suppose to declare it in my Backing File??
Any input on this would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    G

    Hi,
I'm guessing here... but I think that the example is referring to a PortletPreferences object, which can be obtained through a PortletBackingContext with the getPortletPreferences() method. To obtain a PortletBackingContext you just use the static method PortletBackingContext.getPortletBackingContext() and pass in the request in the backing file. Hope this helps,

  • Read raw files for nikon d5200 camera

I have given up using raw files for several Nikon bodies such as the d5200 on Adobe software since Adobe no longer supports these files even with the updates that are supposed to support these files.  I can open the raw files fine using Nikon software to work on them and then save them as a tiff or jpeg to be used in photoshop, but this seems rather time consuming plus I lose the advantage of working on raw files in Photoshop.  You would think that a company like Adobe would make it easy to open raw files for all cameras.  Some bodies like the Nikon d300 raw files still work fine on Adobe software.

ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) versions are specific to different versions of Photoshop.
According to this link on Adobe's website regarding supported cameras
The Nikon 5200 required at least ACR 7.3, but you need Photoshop CS6 to run ACR 7.3 It won't work with older versions of Photoshop.
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
You can download the latest version of DNG Converter and convert your 5200 files to DNGs that can then be opened in earlier versions of Photoshop.
Here is the link for Windows: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Adobe DNG Converter 8.4
Here is the link for Mac: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh
The DNG Converter only works on folders of files, don't try to select an individual file to convert, Choose the FOLDER.

  • How to read .db file for Data services in Linux Environment

    Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how to read a .db file for SAP BODS 4.0 which got installed in Linux?
    This is Urgent...

If we are talking about MS Access, AFAIK there is no native support of that format in SAP Data Services. You may try to find ODBC driver fot that.
    Thank you,

  • How to block opening a file for security purposes

There is a chance my MacBook may need repairs for case issues. I have some personal information on my computer that I want to protect from prying eyes.
    How would I do this?
    Thank you!

    Hi the musigal
You could create a disk image and encrypt it with a password. Move the files into that and delete the originals. On return, copy them back from the disk image to their original locations.
    To create a disk image:
    Open Disk Utility.
    Select New Image
Give it a name, select a size and choose Enrcryption
    Click Create
Enter a chosen password twice (make it different to your normal one)
The newly created disk image will appear mounted on the Desktop, if that is the location you chose for it.
Move your sensitive files into it.
    Unmount it (eject it)
Test it by double clicking on it, supply your password.
Once opened (mounted), check your files are in there and work correctly.
Again eject it. It can remain on your computer as it can't be opened except by you.
    Delete the original files.

  • Would like to store data in file for timing purposes

I have written this code in labview and is working like it should. It takes data of two transducers (analog signals) mounted 1.5 m apart.
The goal is to find out a precise time between the two rising edges. (attached pic)
I have collected two waveforms, one from
transducer 1 and one from transducer 2.  Element 0 of the waveform
array is the data from transducer 1.  Element 1 is the data from
    transducer 2.
Both waveforms contain timing information as
    part of their datatype.
I have tried to store the data as a txt file, but it only stores the last result of each transducer.
I would like to store the data, and process it in matlab to find a precise time between the rising edges or can this be done in the same VI I have created?
    Any help is appreciated.

Use the "Write to measurement file.vi" and "Read from wavefrom file.vi "found in the "Programming->Waveform->Waveform file I/O pallete" for saving and retrieving the acquired data.
note that the file hence created will not be in the human readable form.
The precise rising time computation can also be done using labVIEW. Apply the same logic that you have done in matlab to create a subvi in LabVIEW\
