Reading HP all in one machine

I have a trial version of Acrobat Pro and need to scan. But Acrobat pro will not "read" or "see" my HP Officejet Pro L 7590. Can you tell me how to install the all in one machine so I can scan using Acrobat?

An interesting problem for HP All-in-one machines

I posted a problem Sunday about my system freezing during boot. It was suggested that my power supply was probably underpowered. See link below for the thread:

I bought a new 480W power supply (see specs at bottom) to resolve the problem. After installing it, I was surprised to see it freeze at boot-up again. So, this time I unplugged each USB individually. It turns out the device causing the problem was my new HP all-in-one printer/scanner/copier.
I checked HP's site to find out that interestingly enough the computer was trying to boot from the digital camera card slots! Anyway, I downloaded the new firmware for my printer and everything is working great now.
I am glad I replaced my power supply though, now I can overclock without worrying too much. Plus, the PS that came with my case was a piece of junk .

All-in-One Devices and Acrobat

I'm looking for recommendations for All-in-One machines that work well with Adobe Acrobat. While online reviews are nice, they rarely get into the kind of detail I need.
Here's the horror story. We recently purchased an HP Officejet J4580, because it had a sheet feeder and fax capability, as well as the ability to receive faxes and save them to my hard drive. However, the software running the sheetfeeder is extremely unreliable: it frequently ignore the pages in the feeder in favor of scanning the 'glass.' The TWAIN interface doesn't coordinate well with Acrobat, or any other program-- which is terrible, since Adobe enables me to scan both sides of front-and-back-sided documents and reorder the pages automatically.
So, I'd like to ask Acrobat users-- which All-in-Ones have served you reliably and efficiently in scanning documents?

Personally, I don't find most sheet feeders worth a darn. If you have a lot of scanning of documents a dedicated sheet feeder is worth the price of admission. The Fujitsu Snapscan 1500 has technology designed to detect misfeeds. However, it doesn't replace the need for a traditional scanner for books and other media.

Is it possible to add an HP all in one printer to my vetwork via UBS on an Airport Extreme so that the scanner and print functions are available over the network?

Im very new to this "networking thing" so your patience is welcome. I have managed to get the Time capsual AE up and running and thanks to bonjour I have a printer via USB working. However, its an all in one machine and I can not work out how to get the scanner to work over the network - or even if its possible. Is this possible?

No, you cannot scan over the network, unless the printer has network capability.. in which case the printer must connect via ethernet or wireless not USB.
All USB printers are designed as local printers not network.

No Webcam software on my All-In-One

Hi I purchased a customizable all-in-one machine a couple of years back. The model # is HP Omni 200 5480 quad. It has a webcam built into the monitor. However, there is no webcam software to adjust the brightness, contrast, and so on. When I called HP, they told me it was because the machine was custom built. I'm not sure I understand the reasoning there but I need to download the appropriate software so I can adjust my webcam settings. Please send me the link to download the software.

Mail on more than one machine

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion our mail is erratic, but also, because we have no secrets, my husband and I share the iMac and Macbook Pro. If mail is read and deleted on one machine, it deletes on the others. How do I switch this off as it's very annoying. Also it shows new mail is being 'collected' but it never appears.

You can't really turn it off as it's how an IMAP email account works and why (in most cases, anyway) it's the best way for managing email on multiple devices as it keeps everything in synch.
The solution is going to require some coordination between you and your husband with regard to when and which messages should be deleted.

there's no way for you to identify which machines have or had cs3 activated, and you can no longer purchase a cs3 license from adobe.
you can request an activation count reset (Contact Customer Care) and deactivate your cs3 on all your computers. you can then install and activate on up to two computers.

I'm afraid that this is not possible, The system's Mainboard is much of a Laptop design where Upgrade is very limited.

HP copier/printer/scanner/fax all-in-one The print screen on machine is lit but blank.

HP laserjet 8600 All-in-one. My print screen on machine is lit but blank. Unable to access prompts to operate. At times it will display home, right and left arrows and ? when touching those prompts it shifts from right to left but goes blank when touching other prompts
I am unable to print a copy because prompts don't appear on screen other than those mentioned.
I can print only from my computer

I understand your display screen is blank on your printer. I would like for you to confirm which 8600 model you have and I will look into this for you.
In the meantime try a power reset:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Tip: Plug the printer in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

How to export ALL my contact groups ( 20) from Outlook 2010 on one machine to Outlook 2010 on two other machines

My problem is how to export ALL my contact groups (>20) from Outlook 2010 on one machine (finally established with great pains from a more user-friendly client) to Outlook 2010 on two other computers. All the help files I've seen refer to
export/import of only a single Group.
Outlook seems to be an extraordinarily limited and user-hostile environment for managing an address book. By way of comparison, the Mulberry client I've been using for years (which is no longer supported) run circles around Outlook for ease of
handling -- everything in the address book, groups and individual, can be exported and imported in a single file. My computer support staff have warned me about the difficulties of handling groups in Outlook. Is Microsoft really that incompetent,
or just sadistic ?

After a lot of screwing around I finally hit on a solution, which is to export and import contacts using a .pst file (which transfers both individuals and groups) rather than a .csv file -- which transfers only individual contacts but leaves groups untouched.

I just bought a Quantaray All-in-one card reader. It does not work with my Macbook OSX.

I have tried attaching it with iphoto on both before and after attaching the card reader to the computer and also have tried another card. Directions say that a green light should come on to prove that connection has been made; I only get a red light. I am Europe with no help and am desperate. Can anyone out there please help? Thanks.

There is no way to use the Thunderbolt display with a computer that has no Thunderbolt port.

HP 7520 all in one printer does not print photos well-Does with my Windows machines

I have several computers. Everything works great with printer in Windows environment. I have an iPad and a MACbook PRO with Maverick 10.9.4. The photos are terrible when I print with either of these devices. It almost looks like a negative image. I have checked for updated drivers, etc for the MAC. The ink is HP and the levels are good. It works fine with my PC computers, but not my Apple devices. I have checked system preverences in the APPLE. It appears to be only the photographs. Text prints fine. Any suggestions?

I see you're running into photo print issues. I would like to help!
I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates: OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps.
After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers.

Card Reader not working for HP 20 All-in-One

I have an HP 20 All-in-One PC and have bought two All in one card readers that use the USB slots to connect with the PC. Neither work though which is very frustrating!
Nothing happens apart from the light comes on in the card reader.

Since you are still not able to discover your USB card readers, I recommend following the steps in this document on Windows 8 Safe Mode. This should help to enable your system to recognize your card readers without any additional services or background programs.

Blue screen on c7280 all in one reads b851fe84. lights flicker on and off. will not turn off.

HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One printer. Operating system is Windows XP. This has happened sporadically over several months. A few weeks ago, I inserted new ink cartridges and that seemed to stop the problem. Now, it has returned. The on/off button will not turn the printer off. The photo-menu, print photos, auto answer, on/off button, plus a light near the card slots all blink on and off. The PhotoSmart Express displays a blue screen with B851FE84 written on it. On occasion, I have received other blue screen messages but they appear for just a second or two. I believe one earlier today was B01B17FC but it only appeared for a second or two so it may not be correctly recorded.
