Real focusOut event of the extension?

Hi,
Application: InDesign CC 2014 10.1.0.70 x64
I ran into another problem. A main part of my Flex-Extension was the onFocusOut-Event, which I used to save the data the user entered.
I want to receive an event when the user leaves the extension by clicking back to his opened document.
Previously (in flex) I could use the com.adobe.csxs.events.StateChangeEvent.WINDOW_LOSE_FOCUS but it seems there is no event that mimics the old one I used.
In my HTML file I have:

In my JS file:
function onFocusOut()
alert("Focus out!");
onfocusout is never fired and blur gets fired way too often for my usecase. It gets fired when I click around in the extension panel background, etc.
Am I missing something?

Hi lesavage,
as described above, the onBlur event is probably not the right event for me, as it:
does get fired when I click somewhere in the background of my extension window
does get fired when I click on a button in my extension window
does get fired when I try to select text within my extension window
does get fired when the extension is minimized
does not get fired when I have been clicking around in my extension window and then click back into the actual document (this is what I need)
Please note that I set up the onblur event on my <body> html element.
Any suggestions?

FocusOut event problem : the focus come back after processing

Hi,
i have a strange behavior on one of my apps.
I have a simple form with 4 fields (textinput). When the two
first fields (txtEmboPaiementCodeBanque and
txtEmboPaiementCodeGuichet on the following code) are filled, i
need to call for a service that will get some informations back to
me so i can display something to the user while he continue to fill
the forms.
On the first two fields, i add an eventListener on FocusOut :
_view.txtEmboPaiementCodeBanque.addEventListener(FocusEvent.FOCUS_OUT,rechercherBanque);
_view.txtEmboPaiementCodeGuichet.addEventListener(FocusEvent.FOCUS_OUT,rechercherBanque);
where rechercherBanque call the remoteObjectService and
manage the callback function where i only set some informations
with the result.
Everything works fine except that for an unknown reason, the
focus came back once my service has finished on the field i just
quit! so it's a neverending succession of service call while i try
to quit the field to continue to fill my form :b
If anyone have an idea on what is happening, i'll be glad to
hear it.

I have the exact same problem, except that in my case it happens to be a fully iCloud-based environment. No gmail involved, only iPhone(s) and a Windows 7 PC accessing the icloud services either through "icloud.com" or locally (mail, calendar, contacts) via outlook2010, configured through iCloud's control panel.
Me and my family-members have, next to our own private iCloud calendar, a shared "family" calendar setup in which we all are able to manage common events. In this calendar we have added a repeating event (weekly) which ends somewhere in summer this year (2014). We wanted to delete single occurences of this event via our ios7 calendar app on our iPhones (4, for what it matters) and when trying to do so, the exact same thing as you described above happens: It seems for a short moment that the event is indeed removed only to popup again a few seconds later!
What is remarkable though in our case: We are able to remove these single selected events via the webpage "icloud.com" (using the web calendar app) ... in this case the single event really gets removed from the shared calendar (which also syncs to my family's i-devices).
Up until now I have seen no solution to it and I was wondering whether you did?
Resuming: Comparing my problem to yours it seems that it is really an apple-issue and google is not to blame as I happen to experience the same kind of problem using only apple-services (iCloud).

Listening to Drag and Drop event from the extension panel

How is it possible to detect a drop event from a Layer to a text field in a panel developer using the SDK?
Drag and drop operation between panel elements are not the issues, but drag and drop from Photoshop and the panel might be an issue.
Is it possible to implement them?
If yes, could I be redirected to the documentation topic or can someone post some code snippet ?

What model of camcorder is your video from and what resolution is it?
What operating system are you using? Have you ensured that you have the latest version of Quicktime, per the program's requirements?
Do not convert your video. The program will best with video directly from a camcorder, and converting it may will turn it into a format that it may be LESS likely to work well with.

I can't be the only person who has this problem - when a month ends on a Saturday I can't drag events into the next month and instead have to cut and paste - a real pain in the butt. I thought there was something called "scroll" but I can't find that

Yeah that works, but, it involves a click on the event, a click on edit, a click on the date, keystrokes, plus, since you can't see the next month you have to have a calendar in front of you so as to put it to the right date. It's easier just to cut it and advance the month and paste it, once you are in the right month you can move it around helter skelter willy nilly no problems. Although now that you mention it I will try it, maybe it is easier than cut and paste as I don't really care about the date, as long as it gets moved into the right month I can drag it around all I want.

How do you make multi day events show as such in iCal? It only shows the first day of the event in the monthly overview.

I'd like to be able to view these events from the monthly and yearly overviews.

I have this same problem with my iPad and iPhone. I don't want all of my events to be set as all-day events, as some have different start or finish times. Why (Apple) do you think that when we set an event that spans over midnight, but does not last all day, we don't want to see it when we check our month view or list view??
Come on Apple. We want to see all our events, shown on every day that they feature. You must be causing some people real problems when they glance at their month view and end up double booking an appointment because it doesn't show.

How can you erase a certain event from the iPad2 but keep it in iPhoto?

I have two events that were split up by iPhoto when it synced to my iPad2. Collectively there re about 400 photos in the two events and they were split into over 50 separate events some labeled sequentially as 102IMPRT 103IMPRT....and so on, and otehrs labeled with the original event label. I have not been able to regroup the events. they are still OK as two Events in iPhoto. My latest idea is to try to export the files from iPhoto without the geo and file name to a folder. Erase the events in iPhoto and then reimport them into new events in iPhoto. Then sync to iPad.
Before I did all that I wanted to remove the split events from my iPad. I tried to remove them from the iPad by unchecking the source events but checking all others in iTunes before syncing but that doesn't work probably because the pieces all have different names in the iPad. Maybe unchecking the events just doesn't sync them or make any changes..I thought that if you unchecke the events it would remove them. The real problem probably is that the spit events don't exist in iPhoto.
I did remove them from the iPad once by checking sync with nothing by unchecking iPhoto in iTunes. But that removes the whole library of 10000+ photos. I did that and restored an old library from before the time the events were split (from Time Machine) then resynced with the newest iPhoto and it split the same two events again in pretty much the same way. I got nowhere and it took 4-5 hours to delete and reload the10,000 photos.
Is there any way to remove events from the iPad that the crazy sync is creating, and don' t exist in your iPhoto library or on your iMac and iTunes without destroying the rest of the library of photos on the iPad??

I tried syncing with the sources unchecked so no photos would sync. When it got done it erased all the library photos except the messed up events, they remain on the iPad. The Vacation photos are in two albums, one is called camera roll, and the other improted photos. None of the photos were taken with the iPad camera and should not show up in camera roll.
At this point I am going to restore iPad2 to factory settings and sync from computer not backups and see what happens!

I can no longer directly print from the USPS print servelet. I now have to save the file and rename the extension to PDF load in another program to print. It used to be automatic. What happened?

When trying to print from the USPS website (to print a label) when I click to pay and print instead of my print selection screen coming up I get the "Firefox doesn't know what to do with this" screen. THrough some web searching I found I can save the file, then change the extension to PDF and load it in another program and print but it adds two steps and is a real pain. Why would this have changed????

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Are you sure you want to change the extension from... BLOCKS Finder Editing

This is weird and is driving me nuts, but some Macs do not allow further Finder editing of file or folder names if I change their names (usually including numbers, dots and so on) in such a way that I receive the warning:
Are you sure you want to change the extension from..?
After I confirm that I want to change the name, the Finder does it but gets locked for editing (I can do other things) and does not allow any further file or folder editing until I force quit of Finder or reboot the Mac.
I have found that if right after confirming that I want to change the name I select the file and hit return (which selects its name), no problem arises. But I must do it in one or two seconds, or else it will be too late.
IN SUMMARY:
1. Change file or folder name including numbers and dots at the end.
2. Get the message "Are you sure you want to change the extension from..."
3. Confirm that I want to change the name.
4. FROM NOW ON, I CANNOT CHANGE THE NAME OF ANY FILE OR FOLDER UNTIL I FORCE FINDER QUIT. Unless of course I do the trick indicated above real quick!
Any hint? Any way to know what is going on? This could be a bug of Mac OS X 10.4.x or earlier or a problem with a third party application. But how to know what is going on to prevent it? As said, some Macs show this issue, but not others.

Hint: some file or folder name changes are more prone to cause the issue than others. For instance, renaming a folder (and confirming it) as:
Testing.r00
brings the bug 100% of the times.

The message is a warning that you are doing something that the OS thinks is going to possibly cause a problem. You are creating the situation and the OS is doing nothing other than what you are asking it to do.
I don't know any exact answer why you can't access your files, but I do know that there are a few characters and things that will cause problems because they mimic names of invisible files. When you make a name that is close to being the same it can treat the file as the special one... meaning you can only access it via Terminal.
Ones you cannot use at all: the colon (:), slash (/), single or double period as first characters. (taken from Finder Help with a naming files search) It is best to stay away from any special characters as a rule. Also avoid using a period and 3 character suffix unless it is one that you are purposefully assigning so the file belongs to an application.
That said... even with the over 200 applications on my system I couldn't repeat your Testing.r00 problem. So, I don't know if it may be application related or not.

Detect and save an event and the previous 60s data in a R32 file

I am a new user of Diadem.
I perform long reliability test, and so the R32 file reach often 1 Giga byte (with a measure frequency of 500hz) when I stop manually the measure after the event . And after I only use the last 60s.
I acquire a Voltage signal using a measurement instument connected to the Serial port, I save this signal in a document by using the document icon in the DAC (Circuit with packaged data)
I have read the manuals but I don't know how to do the following thing:
How to save only the last 60s in a buffer and write it into a file if they are followed by an event.
The signal has normaly each 10s a 10v spike (During 7ms) but some time it remain constant near 4V during at least 5s and that is the event.
How to do that in the DAC? Should I use a trigger with a timer condition, but I don't know how to do it with packaged data.
Could you give me an example

I have
created two Examples how to do this.
The basic idea is to build packets with 60 seconds of data, find the event and
save the last minute. One way to create the packet with 60 Seconds is the
Offset Register. This block is also able to shift the signal by smaller steps.
The signal
is created with two generators and a manual switch to create the stop event. The
blocks are running free, so you don’t have to wait a minute or more to test the
behaviour. It is possible to simulate real timing in the generators if you like
to see the real speed.
In the
simple example the Offset Register “1 Minute” is producing a packet with the
last 30.000 values 10 times per second. This is shown in a scope. After this, a
formula is looking for values between 2 and 6. All values in the packet are
counted and if the number is above 2.500 (5 seconds) the block Relay gives
this packet into the store and stop block. (Store is simulated with a scope to
make testing easier.
This
example should do the job.
I have also
included an advanced example.
In this
example a formula is creating a second signal with trigger information. This
signal has the same amount of values and can be used for more complex ways of
triggering. In this example the formula is measuring the time when the signal
is between 2 and 6. When the signal is not in this range the time is set to zero.
The Multiplexer Block is used to build a loop to put the result of the formula
back in to the formula. This allows the formula to ad 0.1 seconds to its own result
from the loop before.
The trigger
signal is later used to store and stop the test. It is possible to create very
flexible triggers, events and decisions during a process if this is needed.
Of course,
it is possible, that you have to change some of the blocks or add additional functions
if the simple formulas are not able to separate the event from other changes in

I've been working on this most of the day without any luck. I'm wondering if anyone has seen something like this.
PCNS can successfully deliver the password change to an AD target, so PCNS should be OK.
The failure occurs when we add the Oracle EBS Web Service management agent to the password sync targets.
The error message indicates that the Microsoft.IdentityManagement.WebService.MA.dll cannot be loaded due to an incorrect .NET framework version.
An unexpected error has occurred during a password set operation.

So, I think it looks like it should be trying to run the dll under the 4.0.30319 framework. The documentation says that framework is required and we are running it.
The dll is in the Extensions folder.
Has anyone seen this before or something like it? Any ideas on where else I could check?

Thank you for your reply. I've tried running in and out of proc with the same error showing up.
I tried a few different modifications to the miiserver.exe.config (as well as Mmsscrpt.exe.config and the Dllhost.exe.config files). I tried changing 4.0.30319 to 4.0 as per this article:

Even though we are only on FIM R2 (not on SP1), I tried a variation on the config file changes recommended here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2772429 but I referenced the newVersion as 4.0.1.0.
Still no luck.

Capturing converting draft to real document event

Hi all
i wish to capture the event of turning a draft document of type warehouse transfer to a real document. in order to do so i want to capture the click event on the "Add" button in the document transfer draft form. the problem is the draft and the real document forms have the same type. my question is how can i differntiate when i'm in a warehouse transfer draft form and not in warehouse transfer real document form?

The first thing i thought out is to check if there is such document in the draft-table(ODRF). When you get the Add-click event, do the query that selects from the ODRF table the document with the specific parameters - Docnum(from the 260 EditBox on the warehouse transfer form), DocDate and ObjType (67). If the record is found - it's an adding the document from the draft, if not found - it's from the real document...

Differences between Robot class generated events and real input events

Hello everyone!
I'm having a problem with the translation of the description of the awt.Robot class.
- "This class is used to generate native system input events" -
Does this mean there is no difference between real input events and generated events from the Robot class? Difference in reference to that the generated events can't be recognized as generated events by the os or programs.

The Robot class will use an interface provided by the operating system to inject events. Those are very close to 'real' input events, but not quite there. There are, for instance, several games out there which have a protection mechanism against Robot's events to prevent scripting/botting. However, any application that is not paying special attention to the event's source will assume that the input events generated by Robot are actually coming from the user, so you can 'control' any application with the exception of the beforementioned games.

I cannot open a picture attachment with the extension: .jpg.Ink

I am unable to open an e-mail, in gmail, with picture attachments. The extension is .jpg.Ink

The .Ink extension doesn't appear to be a picture. Remember that the very last .something is the real filetype so file.jpg.txt is a text file and file.txt.jpg is an image file.

If you already know all this but think the attachment should still open, or it works in other browsers please let me know and we'll take it from there.

Overlapping of an Select-Option Field and the Extension Button.

Hi,
I have declared a Select-Option as follows:
Tables: agr_define .
select-options: s_role for agr_define-agr_name obligatory
no intervals .
It is not throwing any error.
If I execute this program, On the selection screen, I find one field where I can enter the Role and an extension button to enter multiple roles.
But the F4 help overlaps on the Extension Button and the customer wants this overlapping to be removed, I mean this F4 help button and the Extension button should not overlap with each other.
Can you help me acheive this.

You cannot avoid that overlapping.
yes, one can change the system screen 1000.
but, in future it will definitely create problems like if you add any extra field and if are using that code in some other server it will never get reflected.So, will you go to Screen 1000 of that server and change the screen attributes again??

Your video is encoded in a format that PS doesn't understand. It's as easy as that. AVIs are just containers that can contain a multitude of different CoDecs and settings. You will have to do some reading up on that matter and then use external programs like VirtualDub, MPEGStreamclip and otehrs to convert your file to something PS understands - if that realyl is what you need. Otehrwise simply move on to "real" video editing apps that can handle all that much better.
