Rebate relevance and Billing index recompilation

Hello
I am in the process of building the configuration for the system, particularly rebates.
Initially the sales org was marked for rebate relevance, later unchecked and now checked once again.
No rebate agreements have been created in system.
3 billing documents have been created (belonging to billing type not relevant for rebates) which have not passed to accounting.
Do I need to run the billing index program under the above circumstance ?
Thanks and Best Regards
cds

Hello,
the rebate index table VBOX is updated when a billing documents is released to accounting, and it has:
- Sales org. relevant for rebate
- Payer relevant for rebate
- Billing type relevant for rebate
NO MATTER if rebate agreement exist or not.
In this case, if there are not billing documents with thoese characteristic released to accounting, then is not necessary to rebuild VBOX.
Best regards,
Ivano.

  • Enhanced Rebate settlement - item not relevant for billing

I'm trying to settle an enhanced rebate agreement & i continue to get the error
"Item is not relevant for billing".  I'm using the materials for which the rebate was accrued as the settlement materials via the configuration for a variable key.
I've checked item categories and copy control and do not see what can be causing this.  When bill a standard rebate agreement, i do not get these errors.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Hi Thomas
As you are able to create rebate with standard rebate agreement, and as you are getting  "Item is not relevant for billing"  , then check your item category configuration and  condition type assignment  done in the pricing procedure.
Also just cross check copy control settings  between the standard rebate copy control settings and your enhanced rebate agreement settings
Also check the configuration done with the enhanced rebate agreements

  • Billing Index for Rebate agreement

    Hi ,
When i m activating the rebate agreement for a particular Sales Organization and saving it, system asks if we need to recreate the billing index.
Can anybody please help me to know its purpose and impacts ??
    Regards,
    Manish

    Hi Manish
System will ask to recreate the billing index if any billing documents are there for that sales organization. So you have to run the report RV15B001 which will be for the payer also.
It will update the old billing documents of that sales organization also

  • Extenede Rebate Settlement: Item not relevant for billing

    Hi Friends,
While processing the Extended Rebate Settlement, either Partial Settlement or Final Settlement, I'm getting the message "Item is not Relevant for Billing"
Can anyone help me resolve this.
    Regards,
    Srikar

    Dear Srikar,
While doing the rebate settlement in the settlement documents settlement material (which is assigned in the Rebate agreement) will be used to settle the amount. So you check the item category settings of that sattlement material through VOV7 transaction.
Go to VOV7 transaction then select your settlement material itemcategory then go in to the detail screen here you check the settings for the field Billing Relevance maintain this field as B then try.
I hope this will help you,

  • Rebate: Differ "Scale Base Value" between "Statistics" and "Billing Doc"

    Dear SD Expert,
After I go with Transaction Code :"VOB3" (run report RV15B002), I found that "Scale Base Value" have different value between "Statistics" and "Billing Doc". And the correct value is "Billing Doc". However, the value which shows in my rebate condition now is "Statistic". Thus, my question is
How can I configure my rebate condition based on "Billing Doc" Value instead of "Statistic"? (I don't want to "Correct backlogs" anytime in changing scales based value.)  Anyone please feel free in suggestion.

  • Relevant for billing and pricing

    Hi All,
In the config for item category. There are two settings, one is "relevant for billing" and other is "pricing".
what is the difference bewteen the two.... since if i enable relevant for billing, it automatically means the pricing will happen since relevant for billing means, an invoice with prices will be made.
if you disagree.can someone explain with some examples.
    regards
    sonu

    Hi Sonu,
The Billing Relevance field only tells you whether the material should be carried over to the invoice document or not. An item in quotation, wtih item category AFN, is never be billable and should appear in the invoice document and hence would have Billing Relevance as not relevant. However, the customer or user might need to know the price of material when quotation  is being created. For this the pricing field should be used. If the pricing is set as not relevant then the system does not carry out the pricing calculation. So you could have item categories not relevant for billing but relevant for pricing and vice versa. Use AFN and TANN for comparision.

  • VF01 Determine Billing date for billing index and printout to current date

    Hi
we need to determine the Billing date for billing index and printout to current date
What can I do to determine automatically at the time of creation current day to Billing date for billing index and printout?
    please let me know
    Best Regards,

    Hi Beatriz ,
You have two options here. you can chose either of these solutions:
    1.
    A. T-Code: VTFL ( if using del related billing)   For the billing document and delivery, at item level assign the copying requirement 011 or if you are currently using some other routine then you can use following in that
    VBRK-FKDAT = SY-DATUM.
    B. T-code VTFA (if using order related billing)
Similar to A, using copying requirement 011.
    2. You may also try option of Checking in the User Exit for the Program RV60AFZA & RV60AFZA.
Please let us know if this helps

  • Rebate rate and accrual rate

What is the difference between rebate rate and accrual rate in rebate agreements. One example wil be very helpful

    Accrual Rate:
You can enter an accrual rate manually in each condition record. The accrual rate should reflect, as accurately as possible, the rate at which the rebate will be calculated at final settlement.
Every time you process a rebate-relevant billing document (an invoice, a credit or debit memo), the system automatically posts an accrual to financial accounting (FI). Within FI, the rebate accrual is posted to two accounts: a sales deduction account and an accrual account. The accrual account is cleared when the rebate agreement is settled with a credit memo.
    Rebate Rate:
A price discount that a vendor grants a customer at a later time.
The amount of rebate depends on the invoiced sales that the customer achieves in a specified period and is defined using condition records.

  • What is Short Dump Analysis and  secendry index  ?

    Dear Experts .
    1.) What is purpose of T-codes SE30 and ST22 ?
What is Short Dump Analysis ?
2.) What is secendry index , How to use it ? How it effects the Performance of a report ?
    Please it is urgent ...
    Regards : Rajneesh

    Hi
A dump analysis is a comprehensive list that should enable you to identify the causes and possible solutions of program errors. The ABAP Workbench generates a short dump whenever a report or transaction terminates due to a serious error. The system enters the error in the system log and writes a snapshot of the program at the moment when it terminated into a special database table called SNAP.
Dump analyses give the user or programmer information about the causes of the error that has caused the program to terminate. Experienced users can use them to identify very quickly where and why this occurred. He or she can them solve the problem.
The snapshot contains the following information:
    Why the program has terminated
    What caused the program termination
Where in the program code the termination occurred
What you can do to correct the error
The values of the relevant system fields when the program terminated
The calls or events that were active when the program terminated
Any other programs that are affected.

Index: Technical key of a database table.
Primary index: The primary index contains the key fields of the table and a pointer to the non-key fields of the table. The primary index is created automatically when the table is created in the database.
Secondary index: Additional indexes could be created considering the most frequently accessed dimensions of the table.
    Structure of an Index
An index can be used to speed up the selection of data records from a table.
An index can be considered to be a copy of a database table reduced to certain fields. The data is stored in sorted form in this copy. This sorting permits fast access to the records of the table (for example using a binary search). Not all of the fields of the table are contained in the index. The index also contains a pointer from the index entry to the corresponding table entry to permit all the field contents to be read.
When creating indexes, please note that:
An index can only be used up to the last specified field in the selection! The fields which are specified in the WHERE clause for a large number of selections should be in the first position.
Only those fields whose values significantly restrict the amount of data are meaningful in an index.
When you change a data record of a table, you must adjust the index sorting. Tables whose contents are frequently changed therefore should not have too many indexes.
Make sure that the indexes on a table are as disjunctive as possible.
(That is they should contain as few fields in common as possible. If two indexes on a table have a large number of common fields, this could make it more difficult for the optimizer to choose the most selective index.)
    Accessing tables using Indexes
The database optimizer decides which index on the table should be used by the database to access data records.
You must distinguish between the primary index and secondary indexes of a table. The primary index contains the key fields of the table. The primary index is automatically created in the database when the table is activated. If a large table is frequently accessed such that it is not possible to apply primary index sorting, you should create secondary indexes for the table.
The indexes on a table have a three-character index ID. '0' is reserved for the primary index. Customers can create their own indexes on SAP tables; their IDs must begin with Y or Z.
If the index fields have key function, i.e. they already uniquely identify each record of the table, an index can be called a unique index. This ensures that there are no duplicate index fields in the database.
When you define a secondary index in the ABAP Dictionary, you can specify whether it should be created on the database when it is activated. Some indexes only result in a gain in performance for certain database systems. You can therefore specify a list of database systems when you define an index. The index is then only created on the specified database systems when activated

  • Automatic Delivery, PGI and Billing

    Hi SD gurus,
Will appreciate the feedback on this. In standard SAP, upon creating and saving of sales order, we need to create outbound delivery ( and do picking for picking-relevant item ), then do PGI. Upon that, create billing document and save.
My question is, if upon creating and saving of sales order, I want to make the subsequent processes runs automatically, how can it be done ?
The triggering part from saving the sales order - can that be done via userexit ? If so, which userexit can I look into ?
For the automation of delivery, PGI issue and billing, are there any BAPI or userexit that can accomodate that ? If so, can anyone be kind enough to pinpoint to me how to locate it and if possible, what are the key things I need to look into ? I believe it can be done via BDC as well but I'm not too sure how to go around it.
Really looking forward to some valuable feedbacks here. Many thanks way in advance.
    Warmest Regards,
    Janice

    Hi Janie,
You can also create a BDC program where everything would be created on its own.You can take the help of ABAPer for this purpose.
It will also do the availability check and in your program you can create the logic that PGI would be done only if the confirmation date in the schedule line is today's date.
We ourselves have created the same scenario in our own project and it has worked really well.
                                               OR
Configure the sales order such that the delivery is created on saving the document. This can be achieved in sales order type.
Create a Batch job which does the subsequent steps.
On creation of delivery, use the function module 'ws_delivery_update' or 'SD_DELIVERY_UPDATE_PICKING_1' or 'BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CONFIRM_DEC' [take the Help of an ABAPer] to perform the PGI. In the end use the transaction for billing due list to create the billing documents.
    Reward points if it works.

  • Deliveries Showing as 'not relevant for billing' after Invoice Cancellation

    Hi,
We have a plants abroad scenario, where the billing document (plants abroad invoice)  had to be cancelled because of wrong profit centres. After correction of data, when we are trying to invoice these deliveries, the system shows these as 'not relevant for billing'. Any idea what could have caused this and/ or how to correct this?
Thanks in advance for the help,
    Regards,
    alok

    HI Alok,
Could you please recheck the delivery document flow again, its only Billing document is cancelled or PGI reversal is also done or not.
As per my knowledge G/L correction is nothing to do with 'not relevant for billing' or "relevant for billing".
Try again there might be a case where delivery might have been reversed or billing document has not been cancelled or Document might have been blocked.

  • Document is not relevant for billing

    Dear All,
We are implementing ECC 6 in one of our client.
Our client manufacturer of x finished product, they want monitor the production process through Project system and deliver should be through project system,
We did the complete configuration from Production order till delivery in PS is working fine.
But when we try to post billing document from the delivery document, the system is showing the following error,
Document is not relevant for billing: LP is not relevant for F2.
Our doubt is in this process, whether excise invoice will be generated or not?
this LP is hard coded in SAP, We are unable to rectify the error,
our GO-LIVE date is 1st March
can any one help us to solve this issue?
    Thanks in advance
    regards
    Elango

LP is not relevant for F2
What is LP ??  Is it Delivery type or Item Category ??  Nevertheless, copy control is missing in VTFL.
whether excise invoice will be generated or not?
If physical material movement is there from a manufacturing plant to outside, then definitely, you should generate an excise invoice
    thanks

  • Multiple Meter Reads on the same day and Billing

    Hi All,
There is a requirement to hold all reads received from Customer/ Meter Reader etc even they these are received on the same day for e.g. schedule read could be received in the morning, followed by customer read through internet and then another customer read through IVR system.
Can we store multiple reads on the same day?
If a read goes into implausible and then it's corrected, implausible read is replaced by corrected read. Is there any way to store old implausible read?
    Thanks in advance.
    SJ

    Your questions answered below:
    1. So my question is can we enter multiple reads to the Meter on a single day with same meter read reason? - Yes when we have MR reason which is not relevant to billing. In your case its 09 which is nonrelevant and you should be able to enter multiple reads with different time.
Make sure you supply time also when you are submitting your read. However there is a restriction of what level you can enter multiple MRs since SAP stores read at Minute level so you can not post 2 reads in same minute.
    2. Are there any configurations to be done to allow multiple meter readings on a single day? - Not sure but standard SAP should allow you to save multiple MRs with the above rules.
    Cheers

    Hi
Thanks for all of your guidance.
I checked with existing Sale Order and compare with this S.Order.   I found the following:
Reason for rejection column selected by "XXXXXXXXXX" - for Curren Sales Order
Reason for rejection column emply - for existing Sales Order
I removed the contents and kept it blank.   Then we can create billing document as well
Cr. Memo without any problems.   Document posted.
Thanks for your valuable suggestions to get some idea.
