Receiver determination / Monitoring the messages.

Hi.
I'm trying to set up simplest File to File scenario.
Sending channel generates messages and I can see them through Integration monitoring workbench. But I do not see the messages from SXMB_MONI.
Is it supposed to be this way ?
My problem is that even I specified  receiver determination the messages hang there with status "Waiting" and empty field "Reciever".
Test tools fails at receiver determination even I have enabled the service in SICF transaction.
Do I miss something very obvious here  ?
Sincerely,
Evgeny.

Hi,
What do u see in Integration monitoring-->RWB..?
<i>The message was successfully transmitted to endpoint http://<hostname>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection AFW.</i>
or anythign else.
If the message is successfully transferred using pipeline URL then u should see ur messge in sxmb_moni.
else check if ur pipepline URL si properluy mentioned or not... it should be,..
<b>http://<hostname>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry</b>
Cheers,
Siva Maranani.

  • Configuring receiver determination with multiple messages in BPM

I am configuring a BPM scenario which uses 3 abstract interfaces, one for receiving, 2 for sending. I need 2 abstract interfaces while sending because they use different message types. I have created a Receiver Determination for the 1st interface, but the problem is that when I try to create the second Receiver Determination the 2nd abstract interface is not listed after I select the Integration Process. Just the 1st interface is listed under the Integration Process. What might be the problem?

Did you try to delete and reimport the BPM with the same name ?

  • Receiver determination for Split Message - Bulk message handling

    All,
I have a scenario where MATMAS message is split to multiple receivers via multi mapping 1:n; the split is based on plant specific data, all works fine the mapping splits the message perfectly.
The problem I have is in configuring the receiver determiniation. I have put conditions based on plant specific data the message should be distributed to the appropriate receiver. At runtime the MATMAS message received is treated as a bulk message and it produces mutiple sub-documents however in my case if the MATMAS has 3 plant specific data the data is send to all the 3 receivers instead of sending just one message per plant to the appropriate receiver.
Its IDOC to File scenario on XI 3.0, SP20.
    Receiver Determination:
    /MATMAS05/IDOC/E1MARAM/E1MARCM/WERKS = 'xxxx' -> send to XXXX_receiver
    /MATMAS05/IDOC/E1MARAM/E1MARCM/WERKS = 'yyyy' -> send to YYYY_receiver
Though the receiver determiniation splits the message by plant it could be that a material is maintained for both xxxx and yyyy plants and in this case both should receive the message but the contents would be different. The problem I have is both messages are delivered to both receivers.
I appreciate those who have taken the time to read the thread and thank you all in advance supporting with advices.

Please find attached the source xml before transormation used for the xpath that I have indicated in my original message. From the below message E1MARCM-BESKZ differs on each plant and also has a corresponding warehouse view E1MLGNM where for example LHMG1 value differs for each warehouse.

  • How do you change the Received: From in the message header to correct external address

We have trouble every so often sending a message to customers will get a bounce back.  Basically it is using our local internal name (mailserver.local) instead of our External name (mail.domain.com).  We have a pretty
simple setup one Server (no edge server) with and SSL certificate.  I went in to the Hub Transport setting and made sure the FQDN was mail.domain.com  and it was.  I have read on the subject some people suggest getting your ISP to create a pointer
record for the IP to the internal name. That will not work for us, because we may be changing ISPs in the near future.
I included a bounce and current header info.
So is there a way to change the "Received: from" server name to our external name?

The error message states the reverse DNS entry isn't valid. I agree with Willard that setting up an SPF record will help your overall spam score from receiving hosts, but in this case it should simply be resolved by configuring a reverse DNS.
Receiving mail hosts on the Internet usually care most about the IP that's connecting to them. One of the most common tests is the reverse DNS (since the SMTP connection comes from 96.43.X.X, the receiving host will ask itself "does 96.43.X.X really
belong to the TUK-UTM.theirdomain.com ? and will go and check for PTR records for 96.43.X.X) It's this check that's failed.
Even if you'll be changing your ISP in the future, you would still have ownership for your DNS domains, right ? It should be your company paying for this service after all.

Edited by: joy zheng on Aug 29, 2009 6:03 AM

I think what you can do is, just create different mappings based on number of receivers and accordingly create different Interface mappings for your corresponding message mappings. While doing your mapping use the conditions to map only desired data. Now in your configuration do your RD and add all your receivers without any condition. Remember your Interface Determination should contain the corresponding interface mappings.
if do that as you described.
identic message need to be sent multiple times.
    that is not my expectation.
it is only way to use bpm.

  • Receiver determination based on the filename of the incoming xml file

    hi folks,
is it possible to base the receiver determination from the filename (pattern) of the incoming xml file?
suppose, if the filename is partner1.xml, then the receiver determination has a condition of partner1.  in this case, the message is received by partner1.
    any advise please?
    thanks!
    -lex

    Hi Lex,
You can use Enhanced Receiver Determination for this. Do your normal mapping from source to target. And another mapping for the receiver determination. In that mapping you can use the UDF for Dynamic Configuration and set the filename as the receiver service name.
Use the following blog for Enhanced Receiver Determination:

  • What is the Receiver determination Conditon

    Hi Experts,
I want to know when we will use receiver determination condition. How it will be where we can mention.

    HI
    Tasks at configuration time.
The 3 task areas at Configuration time are the Collaboration profile, Logical Routing, and the Collaboration agreement.
u2022Collaboration Profile u2013 (Objects: Communication Party, Service and Communication Channel)
u2022Logical Routing u2013 (Objects: Receiver Determination, Interface Determination)
u2022Collaboration Agreement u2013 (Objects: Sender Agreement, Receiver Agreement)
In the Collaboration profile we specify which services (Business Service, Business Process or Business System) will participate in a message exchange.  For each we may also specify a communication channel, which represents the technical communication path. (For instance, the adapter type and configuration parameters for the adapter)
In Logical Routing we determine both who should be receiver of a message and what interface should receive the message.
In a Collaboration Agreement we define which communication channel to use to process message for particular combination of senders and receivers.
Receiver Determination:We use a receiver determination to define one or more receivers for a sender and an outbound interface.  The receiver can be a party or a service.  We can also specify that the receiver will be determined at runtime from the message contents.
A Receiver determination is the final step in establishing a logical routing for a message. It allows the association of an outbound message interface from a sender to 1 or more receivers. A condition can be defined for each receiver that, based on data values in the message itself, will allow/prevent the forwarding of a message to that receiver. Then R.D specifies for the incoming message from a given sender all the potential receivers of that message.
Simply saying, it defines on or more receivers for a sender and an outbound interface.
    Steps:
    Enter Sender Service.
Select the Outbound message interface and namespace.
    Enter Description.
Give the condition and Receiver Service.
    cheers

    Hi there,
First of all, what TBDL means - It means that the message was successfully delivered from Integration Server and that the messages are handed over to the Messaging System.
TBDL occurs when the message is put into the receiving queue of the Messaging System.
    What can be done?
Go to Messaging System receive servlet:
    http://<Host>:<PORT>/MessagingSystem/receive/<CONNECTION>/<PROTOCOL>
If this was executed successfully, then the MS returns HTTP 200 to the Integration Server and the status TBDL moves to DELIVERING (check whether you have authorization to go to the above link).
--> Log-in to SAP using - XIAPPLUSER & XIAFUSER, and check if they are blocked
    --> Check the messages:
    AF
    com.sap.aii.adapterframework.serviceuser.language
    com.sap.aii.adapterframework.serviceuser.name = XIAFUSER
    com.sap.aii.adapterframework.serviceuser.pwd
    AS
    com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.language

  • Receiver determination in BPM

    Hi Folks,
I wanted to send a message to 2 receivers from 1 sender using BPM. People on SDN advice that I have to use 3 receiver determinations for it. I just can't understand why to use 2 receiver determinations where as I have only 2 receivers. Why shall I use a receiver determination for the sender ? Can anybody explain this logic ?
    Regards,
      Santosh

    HI Chandra,
There will be only one reciever determination.
In reciever determination what can be done is one sender and recievers will be two as
well as ineterface determination and reciever agreement will be 2.
Can you explain how is this possible?....In the first receiver determination the connection will be done for Sender --> BPM.....
    In second BPM---> Receiver1
    In third BPM--->Receiver2

    Abhishek.

  • Can Same IDOC be sent to same Receiver with two different Message Mappings

    Hello Experts,
Wierd doubt but want to confirm from you people.
    Scenario:
    One R/3 Sender
    SAP XI :
    One external Receiver :
IDOC is sent from R/3 to external receiver via SAP XI.
One interface has already been developed for the above scenario.
Now client wants another interface to be developed for the same IDOC. Might be the values would be different for some specific fields.
    Doubt:
Is it possible to send one similar IDOC to one target system with two different Message Interfaces?
Ex: Created Message Interface 'A'  and correspoding Message Mapping with an IDOC
Created Message Interface 'B' and correspoding Message Mappingwith an IDOC
Values would be different in the IDOC and would be triggered from SAP R/3. Basing on the specific value of a field in the IDOC , can we trigger a different Message mapping for the same receiver?
I donot see any reason in developing a new interface for the same IDOC but as per the situation mentioned above, can it be done?
    Thank you
    Alex.

Create two interfaces for target side.
If you want only one target interface should get data.
You can use simple interface determination. Use the condition tab and specify the field there but the value should be constant. e.g. if field has value EN it should go to First interface and if Field has value != EN it should go to second interface.
If you want to divide your message in to both target interfaces.
Multimapping also can help but only if both of your target interface need idoc data.
You can use ifexist standard node functions from UDF to choose between the field.
For multimapping you can go to messages tab in the message mapping and can add interfaces using + sign.
then when you see the design part you will see two messages.
Now Start with receiver determination in ID and create one receiver determination for the sender and receiver, this shows you have only one receiver.
In interface determination you have to choose extended and choose your mapping designed.
then both your interfaces automatically would appear.
Create two receiver agreements and one sender agreement.
    thanks
