Receiver file adapter behave like a EOIO

I have an interface wherein R/3 sends IDocs to XI and the messages have QOS as EO. XI triggers a proxy interface which retrieves a certain data back from R/3. Once the mapping is done in XI, the receiver, a file adapter creates a bunch of files for each message.
Here's the data scale.
1 IDoc triggers 1000+ proxy message interfaces which triggers over 2000+ files.
All messages in the receiver queue (XI_SERIALIZE00xx) go into EOIO status. What is driving this EOIO message type (IDocs are coming in as EO messages).
The problem, if one message gets into system error, all go into holding status. They are all independent of each other. How can I fix this??
Thanks,
Pam

After digging into this further...here's how it is working and I'm figuring out how the queue id got assgined to proxy inbound (sender).
- <SAP:ReliableMessaging xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
  <SAP:QualityOfService>ExactlyOnceInOrder</SAP:QualityOfService>
  <SAP:QueueId>XI_SERIALIZE0012</SAP:QueueId>
  </SAP:ReliableMessaging>
Here's the flow.
IDoc message (r/3) to ZIDoc_in (XI) - the messages are EO
ZIDoc_in (R/3 proxy) to ZIDoc_out (XI) - the messages here are set as EOIO with the queueid from above.
ZIDoc_out (XI) to ZFile_in (File receiver) - thousands of messages go in as EOIO
as per this blog
-  /people/arulraja.ma/blog/2006/08/18/xi-reliable-messaging-150-eoio-in-abap-proxies
I did not find the queue id set in the abap proxy code. So where is this "XI_SERIALIZExxxx" being set and how is it becoming EOIO?
Not sure if the parameter in the interface determination is doing this since the messages from the proxy shows up as EOIO.
Thanks.

  • Receiver file adapter settings

    Hi,
    I have a scenario in which I need to generate a file in tab delimited format. But in the receiver file adapter configuration we have only text/binary file creation mode. By setting the File Type in “TEXT” mode will I be able to do a tab de-limited file?? Or is there any other configuration settings need to be done?
    -Ken

    Hi Amanda,
      Thank you so much for the great info. I think I can find some stuff but still it would be helpful if you could forward the doc to [email protected] Also, yeah it looks like the receiving file format would be complex with header and footer. In the content conversion can we specify header and footer?? or is there any other way to define...FYI my source file also contains header and footer..I am just a little confused on how to set up the message types for mapping...
    Many thanks..

  • Problem with fixedlenthgs in receiver file adapter

    HI,
    I am doing XML to flat file scenario  and using mutli mapping concept without BPM.
    in the receiver file adapter I am using FCC with fixedlengths,then it generated just 3 output files out of nearly 100 source files.the errored one are succcessful in the SXMB_MONI and failing in RWB-->Message moni with waiting status and MDT says that XI_J2EE_ADAPTER_FILE ,Error Code PROCESSING_ERROR .
    i tried in SDN and then found something like enable the disablesecurity check box in variable substitution parameters ,then I got 4 files out.
    these are my FCC params for all structures:
    struc1.fieldFixedLengths
    struc1.fixedLengthTooShortHandling
    struc1.endSeparator
    and I tried with fieldSeparator then it gives successfully all output files.
    so,where is the problem?I didnt understand?
    any suggestion.
    thank you,
    regards,
    Babu Sri

    Bhavesh,
    I felt the same way,but assumed that ,in that way fixedlenghths wont work.
    in my target structure most of the fields have 0-1 occurences ,and even in the source structure too.so,I think it might be the reason.Then I have to make all my about 60fields 1-1 madatory and using mapWithDefaultValue function, as my sources are optional.
    you think it will work just using the "mapWithDefaultValue" function without changing my occurences to 1-1 in the target structure(mandatory)?infact I can try but ,cos of pain for changing like 60 fields....:) and even dont know which fields are causing the problem,so that we can apply "mapWithDefaultValue" function only on those fields.
    thank you,
    Babu Sri

  • Need to get the Mail attachment name as it is to the receiver file adapter

    I am doing a Mail to File scenario. I need to get the attachment from the mail and store it on the file server. I am using the PayloadSwap bean in the sender mail adapter. My requirement is to carry forward the attachement name as it is to the receiver file adapter side and store the file with the same name.
    Did any one try doing this? I was looking at developing an adapter module but got struck as I could not find whether the attachement name is stored in the XI payload after it has got swapped using the swap bean.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Oops pressed the send key. Take two.
    This is becoming a damn nightmare. When I run the adapter I am getting ModuleExceptions. Can you pass your eyes over these Java config settings to see what I am doing wrong. in file receivere adapter  i have try this but it dos not work
    payload:SD01_E,1,FileName,1
    Error:com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XMLParser: No data allowed here: (hex) 0(:main:, row:1, col:0)
    is there any way to have access to Filename  in different root elements??
    regards

    Hi Ralf,
    i think, you need for each XML msg (each different root element) a new adapter -> a new IF determination, new rec agreement and a new channel.

    in Receiver File Adapter i am getting the following errors

    It is saying that you are not using the fieldSeparator parqameter.
    have you provided the field separator parameter? if not then give like below
    order_row.fieldSeparator : ,  (give what ever the separater you are using)
    or
    order_row.fieldSeparator : 10,5,...  (if you are using fixed length)

    Hi,

  • Dynamic file name (Date) in Receiver File Adapter

    Hi,
    can any one tell me how to create outbound file name with receiver file adapter in format like Name_22-08-2006.dat. I need from a current Date in the name of the message (without any other information). In message payload I don’t have that date. Is it possible to use variable from user defined function in message mapping for that name?
    Regards,
    Naycho

    Naycho,
    that's exactly what I've managed to perform using DynamicConfiguration. Check these links:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/03612cdecc6e76e10000000a422035/frameset.htm

    Particularly, I've created a Java API for using setDirectory and setFileName methods through mappings. I use XSLT with java enhancement because it's a million times easier to parse and get node values with XSL than pure java.
    I'm writing a blog on the subject, if you don't resolve the problem until it's out, let me know.

  • Dynamic Filename on Receiver File Adapter

    Hi,
    I am running XI 3.0 SP 14.
    The scenario is
    SAP R/3 (IDOC) > XI (Receiver File Adapter)> FTP Server
    There is no mapping on the XI side, we just drop the IDOC XML on to the ftp server.
    I would like to configure a dynamic file name on the Receiver File Adapter where if the 'MSATZ' Field
    within the E1EPD04 segment of the IDOC is populated then I would like to send a separate
    Filename than the one specified on the 'File Name Scheme'.
    Has anybody done this or any suggestion how I should go about this please.
    Thank you.
    Warm  Regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi Guys,
    When I tried to create the User defined function as below, I got the Null value for the "StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION" object.
    My code looks like this,(this is part of the debuging code)
    Start
    public String Create(String a,String b,Container container){
    if (container.getTransformationParameters() == null)
    return "conf.null";
    if (container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION) == null)
    return "Dynamic.null";
    return b;
    --End
    On the output I get the value "Dynamic.null". I do not know why the object value is Null.
    Any suggestion pls.
    Thank you.

  • Receiver File Adapter Content Conversion Problem.

    Hi All,
    I am getting in receiver file adapter due to content conversion setting. Problem is that all the fields coming in file adapter are optional. In content conversion , i have specified fieldfixedlengths. So whenever any optional field is not present , it fails . How should we handle it? is there any option to declare fields as optional, I know that is the there for sender adapter. But no. of fields is also very large, so putting each and every field as optional is very time consuming.
    What should i do?
    Ranjeet Singh.

    Hi Daniele,
    Instead of using the standard funciton , i created a UDF for handling this situation.
    My logic is UDF is like
       //write your code here
    int Size = Integer.parseInt(Truncate_Size);
    String Return_Value = "";
         if  (!("".equals(Input)) )
              if  (Input.length() > Size )
                   Return_Value = Input.substring(0,Size);
              else
                   Return_Value = Input.substring(0, Input.length());
         else
              for(int i = 0; i< Size ; i++)
              Return_Value = Return_Value + " " ;
    return Return_Value;
    SO in this case also , it should be able to handle empy source element. But it is not working.

  • Receiver file adapter with attachments.

    Hi
    I would like to pass a file receiver an attachment from a proxy. I have seen bits and pieces with attachments. I have read that its similar to the mail adapter.
    In the module
    localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean
    module configuration:
    Parameter Name: swap.keyName
    Parameter Value: payload-name
    Has anyone succeeded and would you explain the details?
    Thanks in advance
    Ian

    Hi,
    As far as I know, receiver file adapters do not supprt attachments.
    You can use the payloadSwapBean to swap the attachment and the actual proxy payload and then send it to the file adapter.
    Don't think it will be possible to send both the attachment and the payload to the receiver  file adapter though.

    If you have your server as a part of your payload, thendynamic file server generation concept can be done is as follows.
    In your server name field. just give a variable with % symbols. (eg: %file% ).
    Now, under the option Variable Name Substitution, you can give how the value has to be created.
    It can be your interface name, sender service name, etc or it can be some value dynamically from your payload.
    For the former, your give
    message:interface_name ,etc
    and for the payload part you give,
    Payload: "your element root which u wanna acecss"
    Just check this link out,
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/bc/bb79d6061007419a081e58cbeaaf28/content.htm
    And read the contents under variable substitution and it will help you understand the concepts better.
    If you have any clarifications, do get back,
    Regards,

  • How to create multiple files with Receiver File Adapter in SAP PI 7.31 Java Stack

    Dear Friends,
    I am using Sender JDBC Adapter and Receiver File Adapter in Integration Flow in SAP PI 7.3 EHP 1 SP08 Java Stack environment. The requirement is that we need to create multiple files based on the row count in jdbc resultset. If there are 5 rows in resultset, we need to create 5 XML files with one row elements in one file. Similarly if there are 10 rows, we need to create 10 XML files.
    So how can we create multiple files in this scenario. I tried placing a for loop in the Java Mapping as below in the transform method:
    DynamicConfiguration conf = arg0.getDynamicConfiguration();
    StringBuffer sbFileData = new StringBuffer();
    for (int i =0; i < record.size(); i++ {
         . // Create XML for each row and Marshal the object into to the String Buffer
         String strFileName = "DC_" + new SimpleDateFormat("ddMMyyyyHHmm").format(new java.util.Date())+"_"+i+".xml";
         conf.put(KEY_FILENAME, strFileName);
         arg1.getOutputPayload().getOutputStream().write(sbFileData.toString().getBytes("UTF-8"));
         arg1.getOutputPayload().getOutputStream().flush();
    So here I'm flushing the OutputStream for each record. But it's not creating the multiple file, instead it creates only one file will all record XMLs appended to each other.
    Please let me know if I missing something or need to do some thing else.

    Shreyansh Shah

    Hi
    You can easily achieve this using graphical mapping.  Create your target message type like below
    MT_Target
      Details  0 to 1
          Data  0 to 1
    Source sample structure
    <resultset>
    <row>
    <column-name>column-value</ column-name>
    </row>
    Then do the message mapping like below
    map <row> with  MT_Target
    contant ----> Deatils
    column-name ------>Data
    In the signature tab of message mapping, choose the occurrence of your target message type as
    0 to unbounded.
    This will generate multiple files from multiple rows.
    Let me know if you have any doubt.

  • How to generate file name dynamically in receiver FIle adapter? Please help

    Dear Experts,
       I have a scenario where I need to generate output file with the name dynamically pulled from the XI payload.
       In receiver File communication channel I don't see any option where we can specify the XML path for the file name.
       For example:
       If my inbound XML structure (inbound interface) is like below:
       <filename>file123.txt</filename>
       <RootNode>
             <Element1>Product123</Element1>
       <RootNode>
      From this I need to pick the filename value and generate the output file with the same value.
      How can I achieve this? Please help!
    Thanks & Regards
    Gopal

    Gopal,
    You can use DynamicConfiguration class for this.
    You need to write UDF for this and with input of filename you want to set and map this UDF to the top level node.
    Refer the below famous blog from Micheal:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
    You can also use Variable substitution to get value from payload, search SDN on this.
