Receiving email through APEX?

I'm in the planning stages for an issue tracker, and one of the options I'm considering is doing it in APEX.
Is it possible to receive email and parse it in APEX?

have a look at Carsten Czarski excellent description how to write such a Java Stored procedure and how to integrate it into APEX.

I think it's trying to open it in a gMail eMail & is losing your gMail password that it needs log into gMail, but not 100% positive.
Have you tried Right clicking or Control+click on the eMail link & choose Copy? Works on some, not others.

Not able to receive emails through mac mail

my server is Verizon. Starting last week I can no longer receive emails through my .mac mail. I have checked with apple, no help. checked with Verizon, no help. I am able to send mail through .mac mail.

Can send but can't receive email through ATT POP account

My ISP is ATT. Email is through a POP account. I've verified all the settings through the ATT support page and been on the phone with an ATT Mac (dubious) tech. I'm able to send but not receive email. I get no errors when I check mail. It just appears that there's nothing new. I am able to receive through web mail. I deleted my cache as suggested by another user. Any thoughts? Thanks very much.

ISP tells me I will lose messages in all mailboxes - but does this mean all mailboxes that are stored "locally on my macintosh" or just the mail in the inbox, sent and trash associated with that account?
Yes, if it's a POP account all will be lost.
Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.

Hi Alex,
in this thread you can find an example of a PL/SQL function (database function) fetching mail from a POP3 server. It still is basic and depending on your needs you might need to extend it.

I've been playing with it some time ago and it works great without JAVA, but there still is some coding to be done. I also recall a package somewhere on the interet which was doing the same but also not finished.
So you won't do this from APEX but direct from the database and coördinate it from APEX.

You probably need to revalidate your hotmail account. I read of some issues a ouple days ago affecting hotmail users. Also many hotmail accounts have to be revalidated every 90 days. CLick on the email setup icon on your BlackBerry and log in to your BIS(BlackBerry Internet Srvice) account. Click on email accounts, see if you need to re-enter your password for your hotmail account.

I can't receive anymore emails through mail-app on my IMac. I am only able to send but not receiving. I did not change any settings. I have also a IPad but everything seems ok with that and nail is working properly there.

I never had that problem with POP mail before. The message may still be the serrver for you to dwonload. A this point I'd recommend you contact AppleCare, if you don't have the contact information you can find it at:

Multiple email accounts but receiving emails through 1 account all the time

I have a multiple email accounts set up (called email 1,2,3 and 4 for simplicity) through BIS. Every time I receive an email message irrespective of the email address its sent to it is received through just one account all the time (Email 3). For example somebody sends me a message using the email 1 adress. Its received through email 3. If i hit reply to sender the reply is sent through email 3 (i cannot change this). If I forward the response rather than reply to the response I have the option to send it through email 1,2,3 or 4. If i delete the email 3 account I do not receive any emails. Have tried changing phone, sim card, deleting and resending service books, all email settings and defaults set to email account 1 etc. Has anyone seen this before or does anyone have any suggestions..........

When I receive emails through my Iphone I get a popup message

on my computer to check my user name and password. I have tried to delete the accounts and establish new passwords. When the emails come through my Iphone the message will keep appearing but it does not happen when the phone is shut off.

Under the settings and the mail,contacts, calendars tab there is a setting for 'load remote images'. Could that be the issue? are the e-mails that aren't showing up ones that, for example, are largely an image with links, like a e-mail from gap or old navy or the such? Such e-mails are 'remote images', meaning the e-mail, when you open it, contacts their server to download the splashpage ad. If that's turned to 'off' then those images won't load and mails that are made up of images would look empty.

I can send but can't receive emails through exchange on iPhone 4s

I can send but cant receive exchange e-mails on my iphone 4s. My older Iphone 3 worled fine, and still does on wifi. I have deleted and reinstalled, I have restarted the phone and tried different settings. When I check for emails, it just looks and looks and then stops looking with no e-mails showing up (even when I know there are e-mails). I can send emails fine. Any help or advice is appreciated.

There's clearly something wrong with your incoming mail server. Double check with your IT department to see what the proper settings are.

I can not receive email through the webmail interface

This started today. I am able to send from my verizon account to my netzero, but do not receive anything when I send from netzero to verizon. There are no error messages. I am using IE 9 (Win 7) and also tried with firefox. Is anyone else having issues in S/E Pennsylvania (Swarthmore)? Thanks, Jose
I also use zoho to manipulate my VZ mail (I leave a copy on the server) and the issue persists there, Zoho support could not find any issues on their end

I have a very long blocked senders list and I added netzero to the list by mistake. (HUGE FACEPALM)
