Receiving TPESYSTEM(12) in exception, not sure how to diagnose
Hi All,
I am receiving an intermittent TPESYSTEM(12) excpetion in java code when trying to use a WTC 10.3 connection.
This is intermittent, quite often simply resending the request immediately after will work.
Is there a means of getting further information on what could cause this error?
I have found out :
TPESYSTEM - A BEA Tuxedo system error has occurred.
But this is all the detail I can find about this error. Can anyone offer any tips on how to further debug or what this error actually means?

Thanks for this information it has pointed to the problem, although we are still a far ways from the solution it seems.
I am wondering if you can help with this one as well...
We are calling 3 services in a row, the third service is failing with the TPESYSTEM error.
From examining the TCPDUMP output, it seems the WTC connector is initiating a connection close, which is processed by the Tuxedo end.
Tuxedo then opens another connection...
Can you think of a reason why the WTC connector is initating the close of connection?

Intermittent hangs -- not sure how to diagnose
I've been having a problem with intermittent hangs on my black Macbook 2.2 C2D for over a month now, and they seem to be getting more frequent. I've experienced the following symptoms:
- Beachball for up to several minutes
- Sometimes the system recovers, and sometimes it does not.
- When the system recovers, I see "INSERT-HANG-DETECTED" messages in system.log
- When the system does not recover, it usually ends in a complete freeze, even the mouse cursor does not respond. The fan spins up.
- If I use an already-open terminal during the beachball, I can navigate directories but running "ls" shows no files, anywhere. Attempting to open a Finder window can lead to the complete freeze situation or can show some, but not all, files in a directory. Attempting to run commands like "top" gives an "Operation not permitted" error.
- During the beachball, I cannot launch other applications or shut down the machine, but spaces/expose hot corners still work and the dock responds to mouse-over by resizing as appropriate.
This seems to happen more frequently when using the machine after waking it from sleep than after booting it.
I have also experienced a hang during boot, and a few failures to wake from sleep that could be related.
Here's what I've tried:
- Apple hardware test (full test)
- Overnight run of MemTest86+
- Disk Utility verify from OS install disk
- SMARTmontools extended test
Nothing has come up with any errors.
It feels to me like a disk access problem but I'm not convinced the problem is with the disk itself given I've never detected any filesystem or SMART errors.
I reformatted the HD and did a complete clean install of 10.6 last night and am still seeing the hangs, so I believe it's a hardware problem. But, I have no idea what steps to take next in order to diagnose it. The machine is not under warranty or AppleCare, and I'd rather not hand it over to an Apple store to disassemble and play "swap the part" if I can avoid it.
Any pointers as to what I should try next, or what the problem might be?Update: I ran off the clone for a couple of days, sleeping and waking the machine often, and letting it sleep overnight and through a full workday. With my normal usage patterns I didn't see any of the freezes or other symptoms, no INSERT-HANG-DETECTED messages in the system log.
Last night I ran a disk surface scan with the Drive Genius demo and found 1 bad block. I reformatted the drive and did a zero erase of free space, and then another surface scan which found no bad blocks.
Then, I left the machine on overnight restoring my TM backup onto the internal drive. On my first boot, I got 3 INSERT-HANG-DETECTED messages and a freeze.
I haven't pulled the memory, but I feel like Memtest would've found memory errors, and the good experience booting from the external points to either a bad drive or a bad drive controller to me. I've been running it now for a few hours and haven't had any hangs, so I'm not sure what to think. It's possible it could've "fixed itself" by identifying any new bad sectors I guess but I should probably just replace the drive. -
I am having trouble installing photoshop Lightroom. The program is installed and has some sections blocked off. I have the S/N #... I need it to be confirmed and activated so i can receive an email to activate the system to my computer. I am not sure how to go about doing so.
If you have a serial number, you simply need to enter it into the proper fields.
Since you don't say what version of Lightroom, and what sections are "blocked off", let me guess that you have Lightroom CC, and you need to enter the serial number to turn it into Lightroom 6. Just started getting about 300-400 emails per day from several fraudulent Addresses to my icloud email and am not sure how to stop receiving them, or create a rule to have them all go to Junk.When unsub, I get more. Emails from my contacts are now Junk?! How do I fix this? I have over 800 emails since 5Am YESTERDAY!
First, don't unsubscribe. This only tells the spammer that your email address is valid and they will send even more.
If this is only being sent from a few specific email addresses, you can set up a rules on icloud.com similar to the image below to send them to the trash. This describes how to set up a rule: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a3f8a. -
my mac will not send or receive email's... its not internet connection... my iPhone still receives emails... so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this problem, any ideas?

I am receiving pop ups to security sites to secure my files etc. I assume I have a virus but not sure how to fix it.
There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)

I'm trying to load a student version of Acrobat XI Pro but not sure how to get the serial number to validate I'm a student

Could you please tell me form where did you purchase the Student version of Acrobat ?Is it through Adobe or some outside vendor ?
Is it the first time you are trying to access it ?
If yes ,then you must have received your serial number along with your product .
If not ,then how how did you manage to get your serial number and access Acrobat before ?

When I turn on iMessage, all my texts go to my sons phone. I try giving him his own iCloud id but only my email is giving as a choice. Not sure how to fix?
iMessages only, not all texts as in SMS/MMS.
This means iMessage is activated on his iPhone with the same Apple ID.
Sign out of the Apple ID with iMessage on his iPhone and sign back in with his Apple ID.
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Apple ID.
Select the Apple ID and at the menu window that appears, select Sign Out. Sign back in there with his Apple ID. -
Why all of a sudden am I having difficulty sending Gmail emails? I get a send error. When I run diagnostics there is a SMTP and IMAP account for Gmail and I am not sure how to fix this.

When using Connection Doctor to see what is could be causing the issue, look for the red dots to let you know what is wrong. Then all you have to do is correct that information. You can double click on the section that is giving you issue and it will take you there. Most issues could be just password being entered incorrectly. Take a look at the article below to walk you through troubleshooting issues with Mail.

I'm not sure how to delete apps on mac
someone help me plz
im not sure how to delete apps on my macWell normally all you have to do is delete (Move to Trash) the .App file but then some program place things in different Library folder around you hard drive. None of thos other files maen anythiing with out the app beinig run except for taking up disk space.
So apps come with uninstall programs but most don't. If you run the installer again you may find an uninstall app included.

I have an older iPhone (3gs) and need to upgrade to a newer phone (4S). I need to get my NOTES, CALENDAR, CONTACTS, PICTURES, etc backed up on iTunes so I can get that data loaded onto the new phone. But not sure how to do that. When I open iTunes it has a button that say "Back Up iPhone", but I'm not sure what that does. When I go into the sync options it say I have another user account and asks me if I want to merge of replace. I'm assuming it's trying to tell me I have an older iTunes Library, but don't know that. Geez, maybe people over 60 shouldn't have iPhones, iTunes just bafles me.

I'm not sure how or why this is happening and it has just started...I tried to update and then it would not allow me to open the file at all giving me a runtime error message and multiple windows (because of the help feature). It has been successfully reinstalled but I'm still getting the error message...what do I do?

My iPhoto app was digressed back to 9.5, not sure how I did it. I went to time machine and restored. Now it wont accept my password. tells me it is locked. Can anyone help me?
Run Repair Permissions in Disk Utility and see if that helps.
If not, you can select the iPhoto Library in your Pictures folder, go File > Get Info (or Command-i), go to the bottom of the info window and set your permissions to Read & Write. On the Action menu at the bottom (the one with the gear) choose Apply to enclosed items... -

Just how big should my sight file size be?
