Recently replaced my battery - already says 'Service Battery'. Help?

I recently replaced my battery as my old battery had swollen and was adviced to replace it. I have had my new battery for about less than a week and it is now telling me to replace the battery. (3 Battery loadcycles)
Anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it?

Try to get a refund from the 3rd party, hopefull it did not cause any damage, then have an authentic Apple battery installed, by an authorized installer, so that you have a warrranty.
That is why most folks asay to go to Apple for this, as it is less costly in the long run.

My macbook is not charging, I've tried several steps and the last one being an SMC reset and I recently replaced the battery. Any suggestions?

Open SystemInformation (in Utilities), click 'Power' in the left Navigation panel, then at the right make a screenshot of the whole part called 'Battery Information:' and post it here, please.
I would avoid the use of DiskWarrior, at least for now.
You may also start DiskUtility and do the 'verify disk', the message at the end of the verify should end with the word 'OK'.

My Mac has been randomly shutting off. Apple recently replaced my battery, and then performed several diagnostics tests on it. After replacing the battery, they said that everything passed.

I evaluated the internal temp (using Istats pro) and it is at 86.5 degrees feh (about 22 c*). Is that normal? What tools can I utilize to ensure that the internal system prevents from overheating. I have the Mac running on a cooling fan.

My concern is that the temperature you reported is abnormally low. Thus I would like to see an image of the temperature monitor. In sounds more like Centigrade.
Also post an image of Activity Monitor showing ALL PROCESSES and % CPU displaying values from high to low. This way we can determine if the temperature readings reflect the activity being performed on the MBP.

Why does it matter if it a scam????? I'll let you figure that out by yourself. If I'm going to replace it, why should I be contempt with a battery that I have to replace within months (as stated by some people in the comments). The issue here is not if I should or not replace it OBVIOUSLY I'm going to have to before it starts going crazy. The underlying issue is why is the replacement battery for a lack of better words " a bit crap." It comes with a 3 month guarantee?? Is that a joke?!??!?! Some people complained it malfunction after only 8- 9 months? I'm sorry but as an Apple fan I think it's absolutely rubbish. I know there is no magic cure I'm just hoping someone shines the light on how crappy this replacement is.

I've had my macbook pro for 5 years .For the last 2 years it says "service battery," but the battery seems fine to me. With the screen dimmed, airport turned off, and using only MS word, it goes for about 100 minutes. Is there any risk involved with not getting the battery replaced? Also, Will the battery begin to decline exponentially?

Just upgraded to 10.7.4 and my MacBook Pro (mid 2010) now says "Service Battery". I have
reset the SMC, with no results
completely discharged then recharget the battery, no results
Repaired disk permissions, no results
Verified the disk, appears to be OK so won't repair it.
The battery status was "Good" until I updated.
Anyone with the same issue? Any suggestion on how to solve this?

My Macbook Pro mid 2012 says service battery?

It happened yesterday, I was using my laptop as normal and I accidentally touched the Magsafe charger and it was scalding hot along with my Macbook so I stopped using it and let it cool down for a few hours. When I came back, the Magsafe charger refused to charge anymore on my Macbook and my daughter's laptop and now my Macbook says Service Battery.
Looking around, it seems I'm going to have to shell out for a new battery AND a new charger? I hope this is not the case.
I am abroad and there are no Apple stores I can take it into, what can I do?

MacBook says "Service Battery"

I been having battery issues slightly. My macbook use to got 4-4.5 hours on battery, but now it goes around 3.5 hours. So I'm trying to calibrate it. However when the battery gets to a very low, it says "Service Charge." This never happened to me before. Is this a serious problem?

If your battery is still performing normally and isn't swollen or otherwise misshapen, you probably have nothing to worry about.
You can check its health by opening System Profiler (Applications>Utilities), clicking on the Power option in the left-hand column, then looking under the Battery heading for *Full Charge Capacity* and *Cycle Count*.

If it wasn't Apple who replaced the battery, then you've voided your warranty. Bring it back to whomever replaced the battery and tell them they probably broke your phone.

My battery was recently replaced and still won't charge

I recently had my battery replaced at the PC Store in my University, he had it working and plugged into his computer. It charged perfectly fine. When I took the iPhone home and plugged it in to charge, it was doing the same thing before the replacement battery.
It is an iPhone 4S and simply won't charge. It goes straight to the full charged icon. I have tried multiple cords and plugged it into my computer and the wall outlet. I am wondering if something is up with the cord I tried first and it some how short circuited a part of the battery. When he had it plugged in on the new battery, it worked perfectly fine but then for me the program continued. Any suggestions?
I had recently updated to the current IOS but the issue was happening before the update as well. I checked the pins on both the iPhone and the charging cord and they seem to be in tact. ZERO water damage when he opened up the phone. To quote his comment "It looks better than iPhone's I know for a FACT had no whatever damage at all".

If you didn't have the battery replacement done by Apple, they won't touch it now.
Sorry. If whoever replaced the battery for you won't or can't fix it, then you will need to find a competent repair shop or buy a new phone.

My iPhone 4S shuts down when it says it's still got charge... Is it worth replacing the battery

I charged my phone to 100% and the charge went down really quickly. It then turned off at 25% and a few minutes later turned back on if I hold down the two buttons then turned of again at about 15%. I keep turning it back on to get it really low so I could recalibrate the battery and the charge still went down really quickly and this time it turned off at about 9% but then charged it not to full and it turned off at 20%
Is it worth replacing the battery or is there something else making this happen?

If the phone is no longer under warranty, you can get a new battery at a third party like ifixit.com and any tools you might need to replace it.
