Reconcilation- single RO and multiple ITresource- lookup group recon
I added ITresource as key,
usecase:
for server1 i have some groups(ITresource1)--> i want run lookup recon for the server1 and ITresource1 to get server 1 groups
for server2 i have some groups(ITresource2)--> i want run lookup recon forthe serve2 and ITresource2 to get server 2 groups
In RO when i select the ITresource1, i have to get server1 groups(in lookup) only

You will need to create your own query that uses the SVR_KEY being the same as the beginning of the lookup.

However it would be much easier to build this in SSRS reports using matrix if you can use it.
In that case just bring data as is
then add a matrix to report
Add column grouping on Criteria A and Row grouping on Criteria B and then Criteria C .
In data portion add three columns with expressions as
=SUM(Fields!Amount_A.Value)
=SUM(Fields!Amount_B.Value)
=SUM(Fields!Amount_C.Value)
then you will get exact format what you're asking for

Per Diem Calculations for Single Day and Multiple Days
Hi Gurus
I have just now confronted a weird calculation of Per Diems.
I have configured Per Diems for 1 Day say $50 per Day, irrespective of the no.of hours.
When I create a trip for a single day, the system is calculating $50 Per DIem for one day.
Whereas, when I create a trip for 3 days, the system is calculating only for Two days i.e, $50x2=$100 and not $150 as expected, meaning the lfirst and seond day gets calculated and the last day is not getting calculated
Please let me know where I am missing the little configuration in order to let the system calculate for multiple days correctly ?
This is an urgent requirement please.....Need help.

I think if you have checked 24 hours in V_T702N_D , then please verify the trip duration on PR05
If it was working earlier then below might help you...
For Example:

End date/time 25-July-2011 Time 00:00
Here above number of days are three (23,24,25) but calculation for meals shall be done for two days, because for three days per diem calculation it shall be 48:01 Hours above is 48 Hours..
Please try in PR05 and check the results.

End date/time 25-July-2011 Time 00:01

Comparision between single Plant and multiplant.
I am doing practice for creation of one organization structure,
At the starting i have one plant under which their are 3 storage location located in different cities.
The Value of material is same in all cities, now i think define each storage location as plant, then what effect will get on the
business.

1 ) see first storage location never situated far way from plant its in different cities it should be plant or warehouse or depo
If manufacturing activities happen there then it should be plant
If its only for saleing purpose ,then it will depo ,or only storing purpose it will warehouse
pupose of this ( if you have all three plants ,you get valuvation differntly for each plant )
If you have single plant ,no mater but valuvation will be at single plant level,you cannt get valuvation per citied for you business for you material and releates things
my suggestion consider it plant or depo if it in differnt cities

I am working on the scenario like Jdbc to Two destnations(SAP and Jdbc).I am able to sent the data from Jdbc to SAP.I have to send the data parallelly or serially to another destination(JDBC).
Could anybody suggest the steps briefly.

If you want to send the data in parallel, just configure two receivers in the receiver determination.
Use BPM only if you want to implement a more complex scenario, such as waiting for a response from SAP before sending the messgae to jdbc, deadline monitoring, exception handling etc.

I used each one of them for selecting values for a characteristic but could not notice a difference in choosing values.
Is there some difference in functionality or can they be used interchageably?

When you go for slection option, in the variable input screen you will be having a button in the last where you can give your slections. There you can maintain either multiple single values and Multiple intervals or else not equal to also..
Just check out there... you will be having tabs for each..

Mail Adapter - Multiple mail ID and multiple mail servers config.
Hi All
I am doing BPM synch scenario in which i get the response from SAP box and send the response via email adapter. I am using mail.xsd and doing mail config. in message mapping. However in the TO field i am able to give only one email ID. If i give multiple email ID's mail is not received. I tried comma and semi-colon as separator. Still not working? I have two questions in configuring TO option:
1) How to send to multiple id's? I am using Lotus Notes.
2)How to send to multiple mail servers? I have to send to Lotus Notes id's and outlook express id's also simultaneously.

If you have specified an IMAP server under URL, the message is saved in the specified folder but is not sent to the receiver specified under To.
Then even if Under To, you had specified the e-mail address that will receive the message would be separated with a semicolon. It will not work.
Please verify about it .

Single or separate users owning multiple Oracle Resource Groups?
Being an infrastructure DBA, I have a question which I'm trying to sort out with my sys admin:
- We're trying to setup multiple Oracle 11g (non-RAC) instances on a two-node Solaris 10 cluster.
- each 'database' would have its own resource group, filesystem, binaries, and listener
- In order to fully separate the two instances, the SA actually gave us two different oracle accounts to control each resource group.
ie. a different oracle user (ie. oracle1, oracle2, oracle3) owns each resource group (/rg1, /rg2, /rg3)
- to patch/startup/shutdown each instance, we have to login as a separate user
- no user can run/touch the other's files (they're in completely different groups (dba/oinstall, dba2/oinstal2, dba3/oinstal3)
- to run patch/installing, we use a separate inventorypointer flag which points to that particular db's oraInventory (ie. ./runInstaller -invPtrLoc /var/opt/oracle/oraInst.loc.<resource_group_name>)
I asked why couldn't one user own all resource groups, and was told:
...Oracle uses the shared memory, semaphores and queues to exchange information. Each IPC object has an identifier and access information, similar to files (owner, ,group, mode). If you use the single oracle account in different RGs, you or system might accidentally destroy the IPC object which belongs to other Resource Group.
Is this true? I could have sworn I've seen other solaris setups (albeit with Veritas Resource Groups) setups which have multiple resource groups owned/managed by a single oracle user, but I don't know enough about semaphores and shared memory to truly understand his argument.
The way I was hoping to work would be:
- a single oracle user owning several resource groups
- each resource group mapping to a filesystem tree, ie:
/home
/oracle
/rg1
/opt
/oracle
/rg2
/opt
/oracle
/rg3
/opt
/oracle- shared /var/opt/oracle/oratab
- to switch between instances, the oracle user simply does the same '. oraenv' command as regular.
I understand it can be done, just that I need something to counter my SA's argument that there would be potential IPC/shared memory/semaphore collisions.I've marked the question as answered, to a degree: I can agree that there are successful implementations out there with one person running multiple solaris zones, I just couldn't explain it to the SA in an articulate manner. I've gone to Oracle Metalink with a service request and will post references to the notes that the support person gave me on the subject. It's good for research in this area:

Publishing to Multiple DNS Domains
By default, the KMS host is registered only in the DNS domain to which the host belongs. If the network environment has only one DNS domain, no further action is required.
If there is more than one DNS domain name, you can create a list of DNS domains for a KMS host to use when publishing its SRV RR. Setting this registry value suspends the KMS host’s default behavior of publishing only in the domain specified as the Primary
DNS Suffix.
Optionally, add priority and weight parameters to the
DnsDomainPublishList registry value for KMS. This feature enables you to establish KMS host priority groupings and weighting within each group to define which KMS host to try first and balance traffic among multiple KMS hosts.
Note DNS changes might not be reflected until all DNS servers have been replicated. Changes made too frequently (time < replication time) can leave older records if the change is performed on a server that has not been
replicated.
To automatically publish KMS in multiple DNS domains, add each DNS domain suffix to whichever KMS should publish to the multi-string registry value

Working on a single computer with multiple users, I have set things up to allow each user to view and listen to the others' music libraries under the "Shared Library" function. Can you then connect an iPod touch and copy music from a shared library?
Was your wife logged into the libray at the time you tried to log in? I have had a similar problem and it was because another user was logged into the library when I attempted to. I got the permission denied banner.

Toggling between single and multiple selection in a table
I am working on ADF faces. I need to switch between single and multiple selection in <af:table based on a button I select.
I cannot use switcher or rendered property inside <af:table. Only the first one is rendering the second one is not rendering based on the switch

CAT2 for Time Entry (single and multiple)
Hello all,
We have been using CATW for time entry and CAT2 for multiple time entry and have security set up accordingly. We're thinking of moving to CAT2 for all time entry but need to make sure we can configure to allow single time entry for those reporting only their own time, and multiple time entry for those reporting their own as well as others. I think this may be doable between a combination of security and IMG/Data Entry profile work. Does anyone have any experience using CAT2 in this way?

DougFirst create a data entry profile/CVR through SPRO for a time sheet,
Then assign this profile to a user through user parameter CVR (Cats Variant for Recording) in the table USR05.
This CVR is used in CAT2 to access the time sheet corresponding to the profile assigned to the user.

Single DB Engine and multiple DB Instances approach
Hi Tech Arch gurus,
Need some advice from all of you. We are currently planning to install SAP training systems to latest versions.
We are getting recommendations to goahead with Dedicated host for Oracle Installation where we have Single DB Engine and multiple DB Instances for all different 7 SAP Servers (ECC6, CRM7, BI/NW7.3, SOLMAN7.01, SRM7, EP/NW7.3, PI7.1).
Certain things that need to be clarified before we go ahead with this:
1. How complex/simple is this approach ?
2. If there are some issues noticed in the future (Performance issues etc) in this landscape , how much effort will be required to migrate out a DB instance for an SAP product to another machine. We would be having both ABAP and Java stack for our systems.
3. We would later plan for adding some more systems into the landscape like SAP MDM, SAP CE, SAP BPC etc. If we add all these systems with a single DB engine, would there be performance issues etc. (We are operating under assumption that underlying hardware of the DB engine will be powerful enough)
Can you please provide some expert guidance on this approach?

MDAs a consultant I never dared to do different from what SAP says in guides or notes, at least when it comes to PRD systems.
For QA and Test Systems, discussions might be needed with the customer, depending on how important these systems are,
and for sandboxes I already did some stuff, that will even scare some Oracle guys
As Stefan says, the technical setup is not that complicate at all.
But I never had to fight for a support call in a non-supported Environment, so I can't say.
I always decided to be on the safe side.
If you have your Oracle License directly from Oracle you might disscuss such special support issues with these guys.
The problem is: If you get a call, and the first level support guy from SAP spots the non-supported environment, it MIGHT be possible that you need to escalate and may be pay for the support, but I suppose they will not let your system die
May be some of the SAP moderator guys can throw a comment in on this.
