Record dynamic links

I want to create a  news system, where the table where I will enter data such as title and  text, also save the link to this news.
But  after much frustration, still can not do this. I  would record the number of the id field also in the link. How can I do this?

Hi there,
I think it´s better to post your question in the regular Dreamweaver Application Development forum. The current forum deals with question which are related to the (discontinued) Dreamweaver extension ADDT, and the number of fellow users reading a "general PHP" related question is much larger over there.

  • Adobe Media Encoder Dynamic Link Server NOT CONNECTING to Premiere Pro

I have Media Encoder CS5, as part of the Creative Suite 5. My programs say that I have no updates to install, so everything is up to date.
I am having an issue with the dynamic link server.
Here's what has happened thus far.
Recently when I have tried to encode a project sequence from Adobe Premiere Pro it DOES NOT work. This is the first time that has happened.
I repeated the process and again, it still happened, unable to connect to the Dynamic Link.
The Error messages that I was getting was "could not read from source. Check if it has been moved or been deleted"
Once, I received this, I went to check to see if all files were linked properly, and they were. Everything was rendered and all was good in the timeline and the project itself.
Yet, again, the error message appeared.
Then I tested a previous project that I knew had been exported and worked through Adobe to Media Encoder. And all the files were linked properly and yet again received the error message I wrote above.
Then I thought the Dynamic Link itself wasn't working properly, so I tested importing an Adobe After Effects Comp into a Premiere Timeline and it DID WORK.
Then I went and tested if a video file of an already exported project would be able to sync to Media Encoder. And this WORKED.
I then went to add the file directly from Media Encoder and when I went to add a sequence from a saved Premeire File, it would take about 5 minutes "Connecting to Dynamic Link Server", to then state, "Connecting to Dynamic Link Server Failed"
My question is, how do I fix the dynamic link between Media Encoder and Premiere? Because, additionally, importing and After Effects Sequence works with Media Encoder.

I've been searching/troubleshooting for days, none of the firewall, new shortcuts in folder, antivirus, you name it I tried it even wiped my system which seemed to work at first..
What did it for me in the end was I had Dxtory (a software recorder, for recording gameplay) running on startup, and somehow it interfered with only Premiere projects in Media Encoder, I could still import AE projects go figure.
Check all the programs you have running or use sometimes, if they have some sort of hook into other programs/deal with video/codecs this could be your problem too!
Thanks to everyone trying to solve this problem!

  • Dynamic links to modules for user-friendly searching.

    Hi,
We want to create a generic search form/report which can be called from any number of our other forms in an application. The results of the search should contain a dynamic link back to whichever form the search facility was called from. This is to overcome having to 'next' and 'previous' through records one at a time. This is fairly simple stuff but I am at a loss as to how to do it with portal.
Is there a property/fn/method call which will return the current moduleid from a form so that we can use this to create our dynamic url once the search results are displayed? e.g. a p_session attribute which I cannot find? Is there a clever way to then manipulate the link in the PL/SQL section of a report or dynamic page to point back to the correct moduleid?
    Thanks,
    Alan.

Did the installer get deleted? If it fails to install, I didn't think it would get deleted. Check the Applications folder.
See, What to do if the installer warns that no Recovery System can be created,
    in this document: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
You can create a recovery hd on another drive and install on the startup drive (if your drive is formatted correctly).
Otherwise, you can install Mountain Lion on an external drive.

  • How to create dynamic links in one page with div panels

    HI
I am using Dreamweaver CS3 with developer toolbox.
I have a PHP page where I have two separated tabbed div
    panels.
I want to show dynamic summary of data from database in one
    panel.
In the other panel I have a table with dynamic text.
I want to click on a link in the first panel with the summary
data and see the whole record in the other panel table.
How do I tell the dynamic link to send the wuery and show the
data in the detailed panel without having to reload the whole page.
I hope I am clear enough....

  • Dynamic links to files

    Hi,
i am working on a page which should dynamically link to a pdf file and a window media file.
I have designed the multiple upload form and the page that displays all the records in the database.
The issue is how do i link particular pdf/video to corresponding files so that on click pdf it opens the pdf file and on click the window media it opens a browser that displays the corresponding video file.
    Trusting you for a solution.
    Regards
    Yomi

    Hi Yomi,
you´ll need to have PHP extract the file suffix
(usually a period followed by 3 chars, like .pdf or .wmv) from the recordset value which represents the "file" column, and establish a PHP if/else condition which returns different links depending on the result -- the PHP function "substr" (http://de2.php.net/substr) will be of great help, example:
    if (substr(strtolower($row_rsqueryname['column_name']), -4) == ".pdf") {
display link to the PDF file
    else if (substr(strtolower($row_rsqueryname['column_name']), -4) == ".wmv") {
display link to a popup window playing the wmv file

  • Maximum bit depth-maximum render quality when dynamic linking

    Hi
A bit confused by the use of Maximum bit depth and Maximum render quality as used both in Sequence Settings and also as options when rendering in AME.
1 Do you need to explicitly enable these switches in the sequence for best quality or, do you simply need to switch them on in AME when you render in Media Encoder?
2 When dynamic linking to After Effects, when should you use an 8 bit vs 16 or 32 bit working space, and, how does this bit depth interact with the maximum bit depth, maximum render quality in PPro?

    Hi jbach2,
I understand your confusion.  I'm like that most of the time I'm working. *chuckle*  The two settings you mentioned are two completely different parameters affecting (or is it effecting) your video. You do not need to enable them within the sequence itself unless you want to preview video on you program monitor at the highest quality.  I personally don't recommend it, as it's a tremendous resource hog, (the program even warns you when you try to click them) and unessecary for improving final output.  Again, do not enable these options in your sequence settings if you are only wanting a high quality export. Doing so will greatly reduce your editing performance unless you have a high-end system. ...and even then I don't think its worth it unless you're editing on a huge screen with a Director who wants to see everything at a maximum quality during the edit process.
    Keeping it simple...
Resizing your final output video? Use Maximum bit depth.
Starting or working with high bitdepth sources? Use Max Bit Depth.
When/where do I enable these? In the AME only. ^_^
    Why?:
Enabling the Max bit and Max render only needs to be done when you are exporting.  They both serve different functions.
Max Render aids in the scaling/conversion process only.  My understanding is that you never need to enable the Max Render Quality (MRQ) unless you are exporting in a format/pixel ratio different from your original video.  For example, when rendering a 1080p timeline out to a 480p file format, you'll want to use MRQ to ensure the best scaling with the least amount of artifacts and aliasing.  If you're exporting at the same size you're working with, DON'T enable MRQ.  It will just cost you time and CPU. Its only function is to do a high quality resizing of your work.
Maximum bit depth increases the color depth that your video is working with and rendering to.  If you're working with video that has low color depth, then I don't believe it will matter.  However, if you're working with 32 bit color on your timeline in PPro and/or After Effects, using lots of graphics, high contrast values, or color gradients, you may want to enable this option. It ultimately depends on the color depth of your source material.
The same applies to After Effects.
Create something in AE like a nice color gradient.  Now switch the same project between 8,16,32 bit depth, and you will see a noticable difference in how the bit depth effects your colors and the smoothness of the gradient.
Bit depth effects how different plugins/effects change your overall image.  Higher depth means more colors to work with (and incidentally, more cpu you need)
Just remember that "DEPTH" determines how many colors you can "fill your bucket with" and "QUALITY" is just that, the quality of your "resize".
    http://blogs.adobe.com/VideoRoad/2010/06/understanding_color_processing.html
Check out this adobe blog for more info on color depth ^_^  Hope that helps!
----a lil excerpt from the blog i linked to above---
Now, 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit color are the industry standards for recording color in a device. The vast majority of cameras use 8-bits for color. If your camera doesn’t mention the color bit depth, it’s using 8-bits per channel. Higher-end cameras use 10-bit, and they make a big deal about using “10-bit precision” in their literature. Only a select few cameras use 12-bits, like the digital cinema camera, the RED ONE.
Software like After Effects and Premiere Pro processes color images using color precision of 8-bits, 16-bits, and a special color bit depth called 32-bit floating point. You’ve probably seen these color modes in After Effects, and you’ve seen the new “32″ icons on some of the effects in Premiere Pro CS5.

  • Using web transaction monitor to record dynamic java sessions.

    Hello,
The title may be a bit confusing please forgive me for that :)
I am recording a login-logout session for a business objects portal.
Post login, the web application (as most do) generates unique tokens for each login session and uses that token for subsequent links for that single session.
The problem: SCOM, records the links that were generated during the recording session. Which generates lets say token
abcd. In subsequent iterations of the monitor, the web application will generate different tokens for each logon attempt but SCOM continues to use the links that were generated using the token
abcd. This causes false alerts as the token being used by SCOM is not dynamic!
This is going to be a serious hurdle for us as we have several similar applications and I need to find a work around or solution to this.
Have anybody come across this till now? Any suggestions will be of great help..
    Thank you for your time.

    Thanks! Exactly what I needed.
I hit a hurdle with that too because the portal I'm trying to monitor is passing the session variable using GET and not POST. We can insert parameters only into POST requests.
I will keep exploring and will post here if I find an answer. Meanwhile, if anybody has experienced this, would appreciate any inputs on how we can insert parameters into GET links directly.

  • Encore CS6 Dynamic Link

I think most of the people here will agree with me. I have noticed that since upgrading to CC I have had lots of timewasting work arounds to create a Blu Ray and DVD using Encore. In the past I used to create awesome quality Blu Rays and DVD from the same Encore Project dynamically linked to PrPro. But with CC the workaround is time consuming and I don't think the Blu Ray and DVD will be going away as predicted by Adobe. As a result of this I just can't wait to terminate my CC subscription at the end of my contract this year so I can revert to CS6.

For the record, I don't see any problem with dynamic link as long as it works. The "automatic" setting in Encore has worked fine for many people. There may have been slightly better quality options, but for many users, the quality was good. The problem has been that there have been increasing numbers of situations where it does not work correctly, including HD to SD that made it a bad workflow for almost all users.
The belief that it saves transcoding time seems so reasonable, it is hard to realize that it does not. The savings that may occur are in workflow that avoids bitrate calculation for longer projects.
Surkweza appears to be one of those who found workflows for SD and BD that worked. We don't hear from many.
And yes, its moot now, since there is no dynamic link CC to CS6. So the best CC users can do is to learn to create DVD/BD ready assets at the best quality their program length will allow.
But the bugs make the frustration of users like srukweza harder to resolve.

  • Import Premiere Pro Sequence grayed out in Adobe Dynamic Link

I'm using PPro CC, and encore CS6. I have created a finished sequence in Premiere Pro, and I want to bring it into Encore. When I go to -> file -> adobe dynamic link, the premiere pro sequence option is grayed out. Why?

OK, well that explains it. Does that mean that if I import a PProCC sequence into encore,
It means you can't import the sequence itself. You must export a file of some kind from PR/AME, then import that. And yes, there is no way to get your CC projects to update automatically to Encore. You must export a fresh file. You can use "replace asset" and such to simply changing the file.
I went to the link above, and was somewhat distressed to see that the industry is moving away from physical media in favor of streaming. Won't happen in my lifetime, but a world without books and records and DVDs and CDs, etc.? Scarey!
Adobe needed some excuse, and that was theirs. There is clearly a very significant number of users that are a) event videographers/editors who must deliver DVD/bluray to clients and b) hobbyists who want the disk format for themselves and to share. My favorite guesses are a) that Rovio's takeover of Sonic/Roxio voluntarily or involuntarily squeezed Adobe financially or b) they don't want to invest the dollars in other aspects of fixing/upgrading Encore.

  • Media Encoder & Dynamic Link Server Failed

I want to set up a few sequences from Premiere into the Media Encoder to render overnight. Yet, everytime I try and put a sequence into the Media Encoder it just sits and the "Connecting to Dynamic Link Server..." for a few minutes until finally "Dynamic Link Server Failed" pops up.
Anyone know how I can fix this?

  • Connecting to Dynamic Link server failed

I am using an HP Desktop computer:
    - 24 GBs RAM
    - Quad Core i7
    - NVIDIA GTX-580 GPU
    - Windows 7 Professional
I have Master Collection CS6 and I'm not sure if Dynamic Link ever worked properly for me. But I am experiencing 2 issues:
1). When I use Media Encoder, I want to use "File" > "Add After Effects Composition..." or "Premiere Pro Sequence..." and can't progress further. When I try to bring in the Premiere Pro sequence, I get a loading bar, but it never loads the sequence. When I try to bring in the After Effects composition, I get the message "Connecting to the Dynamic Link server failed."
2). When I open a squence in Premiere Pro that has a clip that is Dynamically Linked to After Effects, the clip will show in the timeline as media not found or available. I have to try and relink it to make it work. This would be a huge hassell if I have many clips that are dynamically linked.
I have tried virus scans, reinstalling the software and checking to make sure the firewall is not blocking the Adobe protocols. Nothing seems to work. I unfortunately have never been able to use Dynamic Link until I got a computer that was speedy enough that would allow me to run Premiere and After Effects at the smae time! :-) Is anyone else having this issue and is there a solution?
    Here are some screen shots:

  • Premiere to Speegrade dynamic link

Im really hoping that there will be the ability to dynamic link from PrP to SG on a clip by clip basis. Most people I know dont work on projects that ever experiences  "Final Lock". Exporting timelines may work great for features, but it sucks for commercial and corporate projects. The ability to DL between PrP and AE would allow me to use SG. Without that ability I will never use SG. Lots of folks I am in contact with echo this sentiment. Heres hoping

    Jim Simon wrote:

This brings up a fair question.  What is the recommended work flow when client changes are requested?  Clearly, the reedit will occur in PP.  But how do we keep all the work we've already done in SG the first time 'round and apply that to the new edit?  Without Dynamic Link, what is the work flow in such a scenario?  Are we really forced to reexport from PP and redo all our CC and grading?
    Hi Jim,
there's no perfect answer to this, but let me try to give you a couple of ideas:
SpeedGrade CS6 has some very basic editing features (trim, delete, dissolve, insert black). While I typically wouldn't recommend using SpeedGrade for editing, it has been used in the past sucesfully to apply minor changes (something simple like replacing a title sequence, changing speed or some elements of credits, shortening one particular shot).
If you only need to replace some shots, I'd probably send them to SpeedGrade separately, grade them, render them, insert them in PPro.
If you need something like a different version for other distribution channels (like a horrible 4:3 for the next Lufthansa presentation of your beautiful 2.35:1 footage), that can be done in SpeedGrade itself by using the Pan & Scan track
If you want to work with EDLs and keep the project "hot" for as long as possible, it might be interesting to look into the reconfrom option (this isn't documented yet as it was added rather late in the game - I hope to record a tutorial rather soon). Basically: this will work if you restrict your grading work to the initial layer stack presented in SpeedGrade. You can then use multiple Conforms in one SpeedGrade project and let the application identify which shots are the same from Conform to Confrom (and automatically apply grades based on Reel ID / shot info from the EDL).
I am sure other users out there have other ideas, but these are some concepts I have seen being used with good results in the past.
    Cheers,
    Pat

  • Keeping 5.1 audio from PPro CS5 to AE CS5 via dynamic link?

    Hi,
I have a project edited in PPro CS5 with 5.1 audio which is showing and working correctly.
However when I use dynamic link to open up PPro sequence in AE CS5 to do my online editing it seems to be importing it as 2 CH Stereo. So when I use Adobe Media Encoder CS5 to render out final online/edited video from AE i can only get it to wok with audio settings set to Stereo.
If I try to select 5.1, this is the error I get...
    - Source File: K:\Video Projects\Laurel Creek\Laurel Creek.aep
    - Output File: K:\Video Projects\Laurel Creek\Laurel Creek_FinalConcept5_h.mp4
    - Preset Used: Custom
    - Video: NTSC, 1920x1080, 59.94 fps, Progressive
    - Audio: AAC, 384 kbps, 48 kHz, 5.1 Channels
    - Bitrate: CBR, 26.00 Mbps
    - Encoding Time: 00:00:00
    27/03/2012 2:34:32 PM : Encoding Failed
The source and output audio channels are not compatible or a conversion does not exist.
Any ideas how to get AE to see the source 5.1 audio which is originally in PPro sequence so Media Encoder will render out a 5.1 file?
If I change my above custom preset to 2 CH Stereo, the render works, no errors, and video/audio plays fine (which makes sense as AE file is 2 Ch Stereo). But I am looking to keep the source 5.1 audio that my camera records in.
    Thanks.

Yup, I've got a new lossless recommendation: Quicktime's PNG codec.  It's 10-bit, supports alpha channels, and generally has smaller file sizes than Animation.
If you also have FCP 7 on your machine, you could also give ProRes 422 a whirl.  Good codec.  Not lossless, but you have to re-render something six times over before you see any kind of image degradation... and for the file size, that's approaching the realm of the magical.

  • Dynamic Link does not open Project on 2nd computer

Has anyone run into this situation?
Creating a  Premiere ver CS6 project on the mac and creating a dynamic linked comp in Premiere to a After Effects comp works well until the project file is shared with another computer that did not create the project.
When the files are opened on another MAC, same CS6 version the Premiere project will not open. It cannot find the linked comp. It will NOT open the project file what so ever!   I go back to the original computer that created the project and render out the AE linked comp files and import them as movies by replacing the dynamic linked comp files then resave the project. (Note: I have not deleted the comp files in the project, only on the timeline). I then try to open the files from the other computer the Premiere project will still NOT open.  Again, back to the original computer that created the file, open the project and DELETE in the project pane any files that are AE linked comp files, even though they are NOT being used now in the timeline, resave the project, now the project will OPEN on the other computer.
All these files are on a standalone portable drive, the Premiere project scratch files are all specified to be on this standalone drive as well when the project is opening. It seems if any file is a "Linked comp file" and is not opened on the computer that created it, it will not open the project file. It does not act like a misplaced, missing file that it will ask you to located the file, or will still open the project regardless if it cannot find the file(s).
if your sharing project files or getting a new computer and try to open up a project file from the previous computer with linked comps you will NOT be able to do so.  This has been my experience so far with CS6 on the Mac.
