Dynamic links to modules for user-friendly searching.

Hi,
We want to create a generic search form/report which can be called from any number of our other forms in an application. The results of the search should contain a dynamic link back to whichever form the search facility was called from. This is to overcome having to 'next' and 'previous' through records one at a time. This is fairly simple stuff but I am at a loss as to how to do it with portal.
Is there a property/fn/method call which will return the current moduleid from a form so that we can use this to create our dynamic url once the search results are displayed? e.g. a p_session attribute which I cannot find? Is there a clever way to then manipulate the link in the PL/SQL section of a report or dynamic page to point back to the correct moduleid?

Did the installer get deleted? If it fails to install, I didn't think it would get deleted. Check the Applications folder.

You can create a recovery hd on another drive and install on the startup drive (if your drive is formatted correctly).
Otherwise, you can install Mountain Lion on an external drive.

How can I fix a dynamic zoom tool issue for users of Reader v8?

I am publishing a PDF to be posted on the internet for downloading by end-users. The PDF is designed to open in full screen view, that is, without tool or menu bars visible. This means it would be helpful for me to embed additional functionality onto each page of the PDF for users who do not know keyboard shortcuts.
In doing so, I have found that when adding the dynamic zoom tool function via Acrobat's Advance Editing > Forms > Button Tool, the dynamic zoom tool only works in some versions of Acrobat Reader and not others.
I suspect this is because the dynamic zoom tool is accessed from different locations in different versions of Reader. Therefore, the instruction that I embed in to the button tool that relies on a menu-tree command ('find the tool in this location via the menu') cannot therefore be executed.
Fortunately, it appears that there is a javascript name available for the dynamic zoom tool that I can use instead of a menu-tree command. But unfortunately, it appears that the script name is different for different versions of Adobe Reader...
Not to be outdone, we have managed to write a small piece of javascript that, when assigned to the PDF using the button tool, identifies which version of Reader the recipient is using and activates the correct script name.
So far so good.
However, it now appears that version 8 of Adobe Reader has a higher level of security built in, so that javascript is security restricted and isn't allowed to run.
This of course means that the button I've included in the PDF to bring up the dynamic zoom tool doesn't work at all for end-users using Adobe Reader v8.
Getting the users to adjust their security permissions in the preferences is problematic and less than ideal. I really want the PDF to work 'out of the box' so to speak, without the users having to perform somersaults to get every element of the PDF to function fully as designed.
And seeing as the end-users are part of a public organisation and will not necessarily have the authority to update their software from v8 to v9 themselves, I am a little stuck.
So what's my query? I've got more than one:
• Is there a more detailed script I can assign using the button tool to get the dynamic zoom tool to work as outlined above in v8?
• Can I raise the security level of the dynamic zoom tool from within the PDF (that is, so that the dynamic zoom tool activates automatically and without end-user intervention, e.g. without downloading bits of code to place in file directories)?
• If I were to assign a digital ID/certificate to the PDF, would this allow the javascript to run unhindered?

If you are going to SET an IP, a Static IP, on the computer it has to be out of the DHCP pool range but in the overall IP range the router is using to hand out. So if the router DHCP range is 192.168.1.100 to .150 you have to assign a static IP to the computer either above the 150 or below the 100.
Right I've never had a problem with ha PC. But then I have never had a problem with my Mac either.
I suspect you have some type of hardware problem or a hardware and driver problem.

Dynamic link not working for Media Encoder

When I put one or more timelines in que from PP CS6 for export and then start the cue all I get is a message saying it is opening dynamic link but it just stays at that point and does not actually start the export process. What can cause this? Thanks for your help.

Use the uninstall scripts from Adobe to completely remove all vestiges of PPro from your computer. Then perform the installation.

Dynamic links in a table submitting my search...

I have an input box to type a search, a button to submit the search, and a dynamic table with dynamic links added to it that are bound to a method. Clicking a link loads a doc depending on the id of the link. The input box and search button are in their own virtual form.
Now the problem...
clicking on a hyperlink will resubmit the search before loading the doc. It seems impractical to add all of the links (could be thousands) to a virtual form...
Is there anything I can do to correct this? I would like clicking a link to only load a doc..not also re execute the search.

I am not sure why, but the hyperlink has to be in its own virtual form. It is not enough to not just have it not be in the other virtual form.
I am not really sure what you mean by a dynamic table. Do you mean that you (1) add the columns to the table programmatically, or are you (2) using a Table component that is bound to data.
If (2) then all you have to do to put all the hyperlinks in a separate virtual form is to right-click the hyperlink component in the outline window and choose virtual forms. Add a new form and set the Submit column to yes.
if (1) then you maybe manually editing the virtual forms configuration in the JSP file will work:

Dynamic link not working for PPCS4 after installing CS4

Background. I had CS3 Master Collection. I then needed some features in PPCS4 so I purchased that as a standalone upgrade. Recently I decided to upgrade the entire suite to CS4 Creative Suite 4. Everything installed fine. However when I try to go from PPCS4 using Dynamic Link I get a message that says Adobe Dynamic Link requires Adobe Production Premium (which I have). I assumed I needed to delete PPCS4 and I went so far as to delete the entire CS4 suite + the Premiere Pro and start over. Again, it installed fine but the same problem happens all over again.
Is there some config file somewhere or registry tweak so I can use dynamic link? I am on Vista 64 machine.

All of the fields i have to take in IDOC segment r from EKKO and EKPO table, but 1 field is from MDSB table (MDSB-MATNR), how can i take it in the code i have to write. can i take TABLE: MDSB in the include, or any other way. because its standard FM we cant take it in IMPORT.

You can use a similar approach as described in thread:
Get Parameter from Standard Transaction to BADi
You need to find out in which main program MDSB is defined. Then you can try to access this field dynamically from within your exit.
Alternatively, you have to search for a function module which can retrieve this (runtime) information (MDSB-MATNR).

Please take note that there are hundreds of thousands of function modules in any one SAP system (see table TFDIR) and a large number of them can do very very powerfull and even dangerous things when executed on their own in the test mode.
It shounds as if you are only worried about only one (probably some famous one...) and want to range around it's name. This is not a good idea and will not work anyway.

Can anyone please suggest the function modules that can be used to do the following.
1)Read value of zvar1 from selection screen whatever
user enters at run time.
2)How to define the zvar2 in the include. zvar2 is the
variable created in BEx to be populated from this
customer exit.
3)How to use case statment where once the value for zvar1
is determined then,
   Case zvar1.
   when zvar1 = 0 , then zvar2 = 10
   when zvar1 = 1 , then zvar2 = 20
3) Assign zvar2 value as computed in the case statement.

If after clearing history, I am still getting filled in suggestions in Firefox 3.6 user names using Mac OS 10.6, how can I eliminate the suggestions for users and searches?

I made an error when I was filling in a user name. Firefox is continuing to offer this as a suggestion in a drop down menu after using Clear Recent History. I used Clear Recent History, tried restarting Firefox after clearing history, and reinstalled Firefox. I did a search on Google, Firefox and Apple to see if someone else has reported this problem. All gave the same information that I have already tried.

In my case it seems that Firefox just doesn't "see" (or can't find?) the coupon printer application anymore after the FF update. (and yes, my add-ons are enabled - to answer the tech support people's first question).
For me, the coupon printer doesn't even show up in my Firefox "Add-Ons" list anymore. Is that what people typically see when they're saying the coupon printer "doesn't work" with FF? The coupon printer was visible on the add-ons list before my FF update, and now it's totally Gone! It seems that Firefox just doesn't "see" (or can't find?) the coupon printer application anymore since the FF update.
When I'm on the coupons.com site and I click "print coupons", it tells me I haven't installed the application. But it Is installed on my computer, I can see it in my folders, and it works on IE, so it's definitely there.
BTW - I have uninstalled/reinstalled the coupon printer application. I have tried all the suggestions on the Mozilla help/forum sites, as well as the Coupons.com web site. I have closed and re-started Firefox after the installation. I have also shut down and restarted my pc after installation. I tried installing the application with Firefox open, and tried it again with Firefox closed. I've even cleared out all my cookies/history associated with Coupons.com.
... I can't think of anything else to try, except for the "solution" of using IE for coupons.
If it Really is a problem on the Coupon.com end of things, do you think it's worth it if we bombard the coupons.com support team with messages saying they need to fix the problem? (or just a waste of time?) ;(
