Recording and soud output
Hi,
I'm having troubles hearing my recording. I've seen many posts in this forums about "no sound" topics but I didn't find a solution to my problem yet, so my post. I have the impression Logic is using the same audio unit for output than for input.
I've been using the configuration wizard to setup my external audio unit, a digital preamp (on which I can connect a mic or a guitar) connected by USB to the Mac. The setup has selected one input and two outputs. However I don't want Logic to use these outputs, but the internal outputs of my Mac.
I've got an audio object, which I used for recording, configured to use CoreAudio as peripheral, "Track 1" as track, "Output 1-2" as output. These outputs seem to be those of my external audio unit, but this is not what I want, I want the internal Mac outputs. I've has a look at the environment window but without much success.

Extractor via FM, if relations between db records and output is not 1:1
Hi,
I developed extractor via function module using SAP template FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE. But I need multiply cursor (db) records, it means relation between db records and extractor output is not 1:1. How do You solve this problem. If you are saying your records fetched by cursor fetch are then to be processed such that there are multiple records to go to BW for each fetched ones, that is doable.
Fetch your records into a local internal table instead, do the processing and pass the resultant records to the tab that goes back to BW. You only need to make an adjustment to package_size that you specify to the cursor fetch statement. Instead of i_maxsize, pass a value which is divided by the multiplication factor (eg if you create 5 records out of 1 fetched rec, pass the size as a value = i_maxsize/5). If this is not fixed, give an approx so your final no of records are roughly close to the i_maxsize. -

Record and Playback performance goes down at high frequency
Hi,
We're testing record and playback using USRP-2920( LV 2013sp1, NI-USRP 14)
To test it, we downloaded record and playback example code.
Signal source is a function generator outputting 6 MHz bandwidth 8 VSB modulation signal.
USRP Rx parameters are center = variant / gain = 0 / IQ rate = 25MHz and Tx parameters are center = same as Rx center / gain = 0 / IQ rate = 25MHz
The problem is... in low carrier frequency like 70MHz, quality of playback signal is great.
But in high carrier freqency like 2.2GHz, SNR and signal power dropped significantly i.e. they tend to drop as carrier frequency goes high.
And the strange thing is as carrier frequency is increased, a small peak on the center is increased as well.
Please check the attatched file to see the tendancy.
So.. my question is why is this tendancy occures?(we tested another USRP and the result was same as before)
and what should we do to reduce this effect?
Regards,
Youngmin
Attachments:
record and playback results.xls 469 KBHi,
I suggest a couple of things:
NI USRP 2920 is a non-calibrated device. So setting a gain value of 0 at different frequencies could mean a different actual gain. So try increasing the Rx recording gain (on the USRP) in cases where you observe low SNR. Similarly Tx is not calibrated.
Is the signal recording done with cables or over wireless medium ? You can try to eliminate any spurious signals if you use SMA cables while recording.
I think the power at the center of the spectrum is the DC offset. You may refer to the DC Offset/LO leakage section in the best practices section here http://www.ni.com/white-paper/13881/en/

How to retreive and display output list from BAPI
Hello
I am making an applcation using SUP 2.0, and this application make an user to get leave history using a Mobile System from SUP.
I've created the MBO as Attributes using the BAPI: BAPI_LEAVE_HISTORY.
This BAPI has some parameters IN and OUT.
Input parameters are Employee Id and date.
The parameter OUT is a List that retreives the employee leave history.
Anyone has an Idea or example how to retreive the output from BAPI and displaying the output on a screen.
Any tips or blogs that can help me?
Thanks all!
SatishHi David Brandow,
I have tried your solution where I just created a MBO for my 'operation' and I'm using sync parameters to execute the RFC.
The problem I'm facing is, for example, if I create a record it gets saved in the MBO table and the record successfully gets created in SAP as well after a sync. But when I create another record and sync, the previously saved record in MBO table also gets executed so I'm getting duplicate entries in SAP.
Have you or anyone faced this problem?
Any response is appreciated. Please let me know if I'm not clear, I realized its a complicated scenario.
Thanks,

Capturing error records and messages in BDC ?
Hi Experts,
I am recording a infotype using BDC recording and I got successfull updation in recording. But I dont want the output message generated by BDC recording which is obtained by perform bdc_transaction using 'pa30' generated by recording.
I want to capture the success pernr values and its correponding messages in a seperate internal table. Then want to capture error pernr values and its messages in a seperate internal table.
Give me sample coding to fetch those values. Think that my internal table which contains pernr values for recording is int_0007.from this internal table I am recording values.Give me coding to collect success anf error pernr values and its messges in seperate internal table.
Thanks,

Recording a DVD with LG DVD Recorder and FIOS Standard Set Top Box
I have FIOS Standard Set Top Box, a Sony TV, and an LG DVD Recorder. I cannot figure out how to record a TV program on my LG DVD Recorder. I have 3 remotes: a FIOS Remote, an LG DVD Recorder Remote and a Sony TV Remote. What remote/s should I use, and in what order? Thanks.
1) Connect coax (cable) wire from the wall to the RF input on the back of the STB.
2) Connect coax (cable) from the cable out (might say "to TV/VCR") on the back to the STB to the cable in on the back of the TV.
3) Connect composite (red, yellow, white) wires from the back of the STB to the input of the DVD player.
4) Connect composite (red, yellow, white) wires from the back of the DVD player to the back of the TV.
Let me know if any of those aren't possible based on your equipment. The SD STB (QIP 2500) has very few outputs so there are not a lot of options for a setup like this).
In order to record a program, you will have to do the following:
-Set the STB to whatever channel you want to record and keep it on. You will not be able to change the channel, because the DVD player will be recording whatever the STB outputs (the same feed the TV gets). With FiOS, it is not possible to have a DVD do the tuning for you, because it is an all-digital signal and most DVD players can only tune to analog chs 1-99.
-Set the DVD player channel to "input" or something of the like. This will get your DVD player to show the signal from the STB.
-Set your TV channel to composite input. This will show you whatever the DVD player is getting from the STB.
-If you want to watch normal TV without the DVD player, you can turn your TV to Ch. 3 or 4 and get the feed from the STB without having to turn on your DVD player. -
How to get the record selected in ztable based record in the output of alv
Hi All,
I have developed a report, it is displaying the output in ALV format. The list contained some 20 fields along with MATERIAL and BATCH. I have provided menu bar as extras -> ztable(it also contained MATERIAL and BATCH). But I have some issue when I select any record in the output then go to
path extras -> ztable, it has to select the record in ztable based MATERIAL and BATCH which i have selected in the output, then can you please provide solution for the above problem.
Thanks in advanceHi Dolly,
you can do this by,
data: index_rows type lvc_t_row,
index like line of index_rows.
* Get Selected rows from alv grid
clear index_rows. refresh index_rows.
"When you choose extras->ztable
call method alv_grid->get_selected_rows
importing
et_index_rows = index_rows.
* Now delete those rows from the ALV grid
loop at index_rows into index.
read table itab index index-index. "Lets say itab is the table you are displaying
if sy-subrc = 0.
perform bdc_sm30. "do simple bdc for sm30 with tab name and selected values
endif.
endloop.

Recording and playing sound input from mic simultaneously in iphone/ipad
I want to simultaneously record and play the sound from a mic in iphone. As thecricket commentory application.
Please provide me a solution for this.
Is this possible in iOs.This probably isn't going to sound very helpful, for which I apologise in advance, but I'm afraid it's the truth...
The only way you stand any way of doing any of this is by using ASIO4ALL, which can aggregate different drivers from multiple devices. But I don't rate your chances too highly, I'm afraid - USB mics have long been the problem child of computer-based audio. On top of that, you are trying to get sounds in and out of a separate device at the same time - not only that, but it's a Creative Labs gamer's device and they are second only to USB mics in terms of the 'difficult' stakes - search this forum!
A much, much better way to attempt to do this would be to use a sensible ASIO external device with sufficient inputs, and a mic that plugs into it, not a USB one. That way you could route the inputs and outputs appropriately, and use the device's monitoring so that you could monitor what you need to. I wouldn't attempt to do anything like this any other way, I'm afraid. Another approach (which can be made to work well) is to use an external mixer to do most of the work - often it's easier to set up the monitoring on these. You can get mixers with the appropriate interface built-in, and they don't cost a fortune either. Mackie and Behringer make suitable devices. -
How to select a record and delete using sereen painter in alv
Hi experts i have displayed a table in selection sereen
in alv by using table control(sereen painter).
My request is to display the database table records
when i press F8.
I also have two buttons one is 'DELETE'
and another one is 'INSERT'.
My request is i have to select a particular record in
the output and if i press the 'delete' button means
then the selected record should be deleted in that table
and also in database table.
Like if i insert a new record means then the record
should be inserted in that table and database table...
Kindly plz send the coding immediately............Hi,
create a module in ur PROCESS AFTER INPUT fro eg
MODULE select.
select * from db into table itab.
module delete.
db-field = wa-field(this is the field u r going to delete in ur table control and in database table).
append wa to itab.
delete <db table> from itab.
module insert.
db-field = wa-field(this is the field u r going to insert in ur table control and database table )
append wa to itab.
insert <db table> from itab.

Comparing 3 CSV Files and generating output to 4th One..
Hi,
I was trying to compare 3 different CSV files using the common field EmplID and generate output with the combination of all the CSV's. The fields in the CSV are below
CSV1 : EmplID,HName,Name,PreferredName,Location,Department
CSV2 : HName,EmplID,first_name,last_name,email
CSV3 : Emplid,Extension
I would like to generate the output CSV as below..
OutputCSV :EmplID,Hname,Name,PreferredName,Location,Department,first_name,last_name,email,Extension
The below script works but as it is comparing the data by row by row, it takes huge time to complete.. Can anybody suggest how can i improve the performance of the same...
$CSV1 = Import-CSV "Abc.CSV"
$CSV2 = Import-CSV "DEF.CSV"
$CSV3 = Import-CSV "GHI.CSV"
$Merged = ForEach($Record in $CSV1){
Add-Member -InputObject $Record -NotePropertyName 'first_name' -NotePropertyValue ($CSV2|Where{$_.EmplID -eq $Record.EmplID}|Select -Expand first_name)
Add-Member -InputObject $Record -NotePropertyName 'last_name' -NotePropertyValue ($CSV2|Where{$_.EmplID -eq $Record.EmplID}|Select -Expand last_name)
Add-Member -InputObject $Record -NotePropertyName 'email' -NotePropertyValue ($CSV2|Where{$_.EmplID -eq $Record.EmplID}|Select -Expand email)
Add-Member -InputObject $Record -NotePropertyName 'Extension' -NotePropertyValue ($CSV3|Where{$_.EmplID -eq $Record.EmplID}|Select -Expand Extension) -PassThru
$Merged | Export-CSV C:\Path\To\New.CSV -NoTypeInfoHi RP,
you can do this by creating a dictionary that uses the Employee ID as key. This allows you to iterate over each Csv only once and add values to the correct object each time. Didn't test it, but this ought to do the trick:
$CSV1 = Import-CSV "Abc.CSV"
$CSV2 = Import-CSV "DEF.CSV"
$CSV3 = Import-CSV "GHI.CSV"
$Hash = @{ }
foreach ($Record in $CSV1)
$Hash[$Record.EmplID] = $Record | Select EmplID, Hname, Name, PreferredName, Location, Department, first_name, last_name, email, Extension
foreach ($Record in $CSV2)
try
$Hash[$Record.EmplID].first_name = $Record.first_name
$Hash[$Record.EmplID].last_name = $Record.last_name
$Hash[$Record.EmplID].email = $Record.email
catch
Write-Warning "[Csv2]Failed to process $($Record.emplID): $($_.Exception.Message)"
foreach ($Record in $CSV3)
try
$Hash[$Record.EmplID].Extension = $Record.Extension
catch
Write-Warning "[Csv3]Failed to process $($Record.emplID): $($_.Exception.Message)"
$Hash.Values | Export-CSV C:\Path\To\New.CSV -NoTypeInfo

I have a PCI-6534 DAQ card in a PC and I am trying to record and then playback some motor encoder signals. I used DAQAssistant to create the code and then I have tried to modularize it a bit. I'm guessing I broke something, but I am not sure what.
My problem is that the playback refuses to work and gives me various errors depending on which "lines" parameter I pass in. The lines parameter I use is the same on the recording functions and the playback.
I started by first trying to record on Dev1/port0/lines0:2. Recording worked fine and it produced the required datafile. When I go to play back the file, I get the message
Partial use of physical lines within a physical port is not supported by this device, given the requested Sample Timing Type.
Consider specifying the entire port and tristating the lines you do not want driven.
Property: SampTimingType
Requested Value: Sample Clock
So then I go back and record on Dev1/port0. Again it records fine, but on playback with the same device, I get...
Requested creation of a separate channel for each line is not possible when a digital port is specified as the physical channel.
Specify a range of digital lines, such as "Dev1/port0/line0:7", as the physical channel.
Physical Channel Name: Dev1/port0
HoKay, so I go back again and record on "Dev1/port0/line0:7". Again it records fine and on playback I get...
When writing, supply data for all channels in the task. Alternatively, modify the task to contain the same number of channels as the data written.
Number of Channels in Task: 8
Number of Channels in Data: 1
I am at a loss as to why I can record so easily, but playbacks are a b***h. Help!
Attached are my VI's that I am using.
Brian Rose

DAQ.zip 279 KBI think I figured it out.
When I created the DAQ VIs using DAQAssistant, I did so by selecting individual lines. When I changed things around to get playback to work, I simply changed the text field going into the lines to be "Dev1/port0". I could never get this to work.
I went back and regenerated the playback VIs using DAQAssistant, this time specifying a port output (instead of lines). This time it read and played the data fine.
The moral is that if you use DAQAssistant to generate VIs, be very careful when you change the parameters on those VIs.
Attached is my new test program which works well.
