Danke an alle, die heute dabei waren und für diejenigen, die es nicht geschafft haben noch der Link zur Aufzeichnung:

Denkt dran, dass es am 23.5. um 18:00 Uhr mit dem Thema Webdesign und Entwicklung weiter geht. Auf dem Plan stehen die Edge Tools und Services, wie Edge Animate, Edge Reflow, Edge Code und wie diese mit den Klassikern Photoshop und Illustrator zusammenspielen. Wir schauen uns natürlich auch Dreamweaver und Flash an. Wenn Ihr euch schon ein bisschen vorbereiten möchtet, dann installiert schon mal die Programme und schaut euch die Webtutorials an: Tutorials in der Übersicht
Bis dahin freue ich mich auf Eure Themenwünsche und Fragen hier im Forum.

Hallo,
damit ich mich nicht mit den ".htaccess" and ".htpasswd" Dateien 'rumschlagen muss, nutze ich für meine Dreamweaver-Dateien den Service meines Providers (s. screenshot).
Ich bin sicher, dies wird auch von Deinem Provider angeboten.

Hallo Andreas,
das ist vielleicht keine sehr elegante Lösung, aber Du könntest ein iframe benutzen, um die in Lightroom erstellte HTML Gallerie einzubinden. Dazu gehst Du auf Objekt > HTML einfügen und gibtst dann folgenden Code ein:

Changes to printed doc layout not being saved (Robohelp 8)

Whenever I make a change to the TOC in my printed document layout, (i.e., deleting a page or reorganizing the pages), the change is not saved. I have to completely rebuild that chapter. This worked fine in version 6, but is a consistent problem in version 8.

I don't think we're communicating well.
I understand that I only get the Save option if I access the layout via Properties, and that I only get the Finish option if I access the layout via Generate. Those are the two methods I am using. And neither of them will retain the changes I make to my printed document layout.
Please try these steps yourself and let me know if the change is saved for you:
1. Open the CCC sample project.
2. Open the Style Mapping printed document layout, using Properties or Generate.
3. Use the down arrow icon to move the page titled Celebrations beneath the page titled Phone Numbers.
4. Click Save or Finish.

Import Printed Documentation Layout

Is there a convenient way to import a printed documentation
layout into a project from another project?

Rick:
There's a printdoclayout.xml created for each Layout you
create. The sections within the .xml file will vary, depending on
the selections you made (toc, chapter, etc.).
This example shows brief snippets of two section within one
of them. I've never tried it, but it certainly looks like you could
copy the file from one project to another (if the target project
has the same series of topics in the same order), and have it show
up in the GUI.

Printing a Layout

Hello Experts,
I have a problem in printing a layout.
When I give the printer option as 'LOCL' it works fine but when I change the name of the printer the output gets changed. It has to give the correct output irrespective of the printer. Let me know how to handle this scenario.

Check the printer Configuration with ur BASIS Peoples.
SAP don't have any interface with the Printers.
If u r using the the PAGE FORMAT As DINA4 Then It should print properly to all printers.

Using formula in Print Design Layout

I need to use the formula fields in teh print design layout procedures. I would like to create a field which displays a content conditioned on another field. IF-THEN-ELSE
suppose Field_88 needs the formula
IF(Field_87=="mom") THEN display "Hi Mom" ELSE display nothing

Henrick,
You are on the right path. From what I understand about your requirement I am giving below the steps.
Step1: Add a formula field and in the Field Properties window of that field in the Content Tab. Reference the field whose Value you are checking.
Let us suppose Field_89 is your new formula field and in the Contents Tab you will have Field_87=="mom".
NOTE: There is no need for the IF. Just Field_xxx=="value".
Now in Field_88 properties in the General tab select Field_89 as the Link to field. When you do this if the Formula in Field_89 is TRUE then this field will appear. If you want Hi Mom to appear then define Field_88 as a Formula field too and in Content tab set function Concat("Hi ",Field_87)

Falls Ihr Themenwünsche für das eSeminar zum Thema Bildbearbeitung mit Photoshop und Lightroom habt, dann schreibt es mir bitte vorher noch. Wollt ihr etwas über die neueren Funktion kennenlernen oder eher allgemeine Themen, wie Retusche, Masken/Freisteller u.ä.
Gerne können wir uns auch mal Behance ansehen.

Hallo zusammen!
Auch interessant fände ich das Thema Farbmanagement anzureißen für Mittwoch.
Adobe Photoshop bietet hier ja mehr Möglichkeiten als die meisten anderen Bildbearbeitungsprogramme.
Da wäre es bestimmt auch mal interessant für andere zu erfahren, was es mit den Einstellungen auf sich hat und wie man für welchen Zweck zu optimalen Ergebnissen kommt (auch Stichtwort Monitorkallibrierung, vielleicht am Rande erwähnen, weil es immer noch viele gibt, die dies vernachlässigen).
Der Dialog Bild>Korrekturen>Gleiche Farbe würde mich mal interessieren, wie ich den am Besten nutzen kann und wann besser andere Methoden zum Einsatz kommen. Denn manchmal funktioniert er erstaunlich genial, dann wieder scheiter er (oder ich??? ) kläglich.
Auch, was es bei dem Thema Druckerei zu beachten gibt, wäre irgendwo - wahrscheinlich bei Illustrator oder InDesign - super.
Volltonfarben, CMYK übergabe als PDF (hat ja auch viele Einstellmöglichkeiten) - bisher habe ich noch nicht mit Druckereien zusammengearbeitet, weil mich dieses Thema irgendwie abschreckte. Vielleicht kann man das umfangreiche Thema, was ja auch einen mehrmonatigen Kurs rechtfertigen würde, auf wesentliche to-do zurechtstutzen.
Die neue Funktion perspektivische Verformung finde ich auch spannend.
Gibt es hier noch vielleicht irgendwelche "Geheimtipps"?
Das Filter "Verwacklungen Reduzieren". Der macht eine hervorragende Arbeit, finde ich.
Doch wie gehe ich mit dem Bereich "Erweitert" um? Hier kann ich ja mehrere Bereiche definieren. Gibt es hier Tipps?
Was bewirkt der Regler "Quellrauschen" konkret?
Und wie geht man am ehsten vor, um die Einstellungen möglichst ideal im Bild zu finden. Gibt es hier einen Workflow, den man einhalten sollte?
Das waren so ein paar Dinge, die mir seit gestern Abend im Kopf herumspukten.

zum Thema Farbmanagement würde mich interessieren ob man, für die Druckproduktion, Bilder weiterhin in CMYK in das richtige Farbprofil wandelt, oder ob dieser Schritt überflüssig ist? Was passiert beim schreiben des Druck-PDFs? Ist die Umwandlung der Farben und der Auflösung genauso gut wie im Photoshop?
zu Muse würde ich gerne wissen wie man die Verlinkung von Seiten zur gleichen Ziel-Seite macht? Also ich möchte dass von bestimmten Seiten ein Zugriff auf eine Unterseite stattfindet, die jedoch nicht direkt von der Startseite erreichbar sein soll. Oje, das ist ja echt kompliziert schriftlich auszudrücken.
zu Illustrator würde mich interessieren wie man ein Vektor-Objekt, das aus vielen Flächen und Punkten besteht, komplett verzerrt (nicht perspektivisch) bzw. verbiegt?
Freue mich schon auf viele Informationen am Mittwoch.

Image not printing in Layout Editor

I am using BI Publisher 11.1.1.6.
I tried inserting an image in Layout Editor to display company logo.
Followed the steps below.
1. Click on Image icon in Layout editor.
2. Select 'Field' Radio button, in the image URL: selected the field LOGO which
comes from an SQL query.

3. Click on insert in the Layout editor the logo can be seen.
4. But when run the report, we are getting the following errors in different output formats.
a. Interactive viewer - No error, blank screen had been shown.
b. PDF - File does not begin with '%PDF-'.
c. Excel - The report cannot be rendered because of an error, please contact the administartor.

d. RTF - The report cannot be rendered because of an error, please contact the administartor.
oracle.xdo.XDOException: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException.
Please let me know if more information is required.

Metadata. Check the files and strip it or save to a format that doesn't support it in teh first place. Perhaps the copy&paste messes up some stuff on that level such as DPI flags or stored printer data...

Lightroom 3 Print Moduel Layout Style not working??

Hi all,
With no change in Lightroom, all of a sudden I have issues with the "picture package" and "custom package" settings within the layout styles in the print module.
For instance, if you are in "single image/contact sheet" and you have an image selected and on screen, then when you change to either "picture package" or "custom package" what should happen is that the image is then refected in the new picture package present. This does not happen at all.
I can not even choose a present (which should work), or drag an image onto the page. It seems that "picture package" and "custom package" are simply not working at all.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
computer 1 is an imac using 10.6.8, and computer 2 is a slightly older imac using 10.5.8
PS. it is now happening on both our computers which are on a network??

How to Print 2 layouts in One Page

As a customer requirement, I defined an half page Invoice Layout but when I printing it, it gets the hole page to print it.
What the customer needs is to print 2 invoices in only one page. It is possible to do that?

Hi,
I think it's more of a printer setting, but probably it's not possible to set a normal laser printer to do this but could be possible with a dot matrix printer.
Anyway, you could try to change the printer settings and the page settings from SAP, for example changing the paper size and then changing how many pages to print on one page - this setting usually offers printing two pages on one paper next to each other only but not below each other, but it's worth to give a try.

How to print two layouts in one take

Hi, we are printing our employee cards with custom layouts created in the human resources module. We created 2 layouts, one for the front of the card and one for the back. Right now, we print one side and then we need to change the default layout to print the back side.. Is there an easier way to do this? Maybe configure it so automatically prints the back side layout after the front side?

From what I know I don't think triggering print of a PLD is possible even using SDK as this is not exposed. you might want to check this in the SDK forum to be sure.

Not able to print a layout anymore

Hello! I have multiple pages in a PDF format that I always print out in a layout format; four PDF pages on one sheet. I used to be able to do that before I upgraded to Leopard. When I open the PDF file via Preview and select print, layout, then four pages per sheet, it doesn't do anything. It still shows one of the PDF pages on one sheet... Can someone please help!

Do you mean that this is the printed output or that this is what's shown in the preview window on the left? If the latter, try saving ato PDF with those settings, as a test. There was a problem that the preview window didn't update to reflect the layout settings but that the job printed correctly. Maybe this is what you are seeing?
