Recording screen application?

What program do you use to do this?

Well the one that's used most is Ambrosia's Snapzpro. It's been around a long time and works quite well. It however is rather expensive.
There is another. It's call iShowU and it works well too. Not to mention it's a lot cheaper.
I used to have a license to Snapzpro but it expired versions ago and I've been iShowU and it's served me well.

Record screen captures smaller than the screen size of my captivate tutorial

Hello,
I'm fairly new to captivate, but what I want to do I thought
was very simple. I'm using the Record feature to record screen
captures navigating applications, but when I use them in the
captivate tutorial I'm creating, I don't want them to show full
screen. I would like my template frame (with company name, logo,
and some buttons) to remain on the left side of the screen, and
show the recording in a box on the right. How can I do this?

Adobe Captivate5.5 error while recording screens

Hi
I have installed in Adobe Captivate5.5.
I am using first time after installation. I selected blank project and start recording screens. When I pressed End key to stop recording I got an error message saying "A fatal error has occured and the application is being terminated. Adobe Captivate has tried to save all your work in the respective project folders as ".backup" files. Please restart Adobe Captivate". If I clieked on OK button then Adobe Captivate application is closing.
Please suggest me on this.

This is the first time installation. And no older versions installed before.
This error is coming when I stop the the recording screens.

How to setup the Home Screen Application

Hi,
I'm using Nokia 5630 XpressMusic.
When I goto Menu->Settings->Settings->General->Personalisation->Standby Mode->Home Screen Application, there is a list of application available for selection(Mark/UnMark) as below:
O Shortcut bar
O Calendar
O WLAN
O Contacts on OVI
O Contacts bar
I will be able to check the applications that I wish to appear on the Home Screen. My question is how to setup a list of application available for selection. For example,
O Shortcut bar
O Messaging
O WLAN
O Calculator
O Web

to switch on and off the mode go to menu- settings- main display -active standby - active standby mode - on or off.
Sorry, I cannot get the option path you mentioned. I'm using Nokia 5630 model which is based on S60 3rd Edition software. When I goto main menu->settings: there are 4 options: "General", "Phone", "Connection" and "Applications"; I goto "General", there are "Personalization", "Date and time", "Enhancement", "Security", "Factory settings", "Positioning". I goto "Personalization", there are "Display", "Standby mode", "Tone", "Themes", "Language","Voice commands". I goto "Personalization", there are "Home screen applicaitons", "Shortcuts", "Standby theme", "Notifica.light", "Email notification". I cannot find the option that allow me to change the list of applicaitons on "Home screen applications".
Pls indicate which option path that I should use.

How do I run two full screen applications on separate screens?

I have two screens for my MacBook Pro with Lion; the laptop screen and a stock screen hooked up by a VGA cable. Currently, when I use a full screen application, my second screen just changes to the grey fabric pattern. How do I run a full-screen application on each screen?

Connect/turn on the external monitor. Open System Preferences on your MBP > Displays. There should be two windows, one for the external monitor and one for the MBP. Click on the window for the external monitor. Click on the Arrangement tab. Uncheck the box for Mirror Displays. This willallow you to set each display to its own resolution. On the external display, click on the pref window for the external monitor display setting. Click on Display. Set the resolution to what you want. On the MBP's display, click on the pref window for the MBP's display and set the resolution to whatever you want. You'll be in what's called "extended desktop mode." You'll have to move the "pointer" all the way to the edge of one display to get it to go onto the other display. Open whatever you want, and drag it to the extended monitor. Set it to full screen. Open another whatever on the MBP's display and set it to full screen. You should be full screen on both displays.

Gret is absolutely right ..The actions are transaction type specific and can be attached along in the customizing as mentioned above by gret , these can then be tested in the SAP gui first for their scheduled and start conditions and then in the ICWC.
There is no special settings for actions in ICWC if they are there in your transaction they will come in the ICWC.

Displaying operation long text in results recording screen

Hi, all!
I am trying to understand why I cannot display the operation long text when in results recording screen (either QE51N or QE01 transaction will not support displaying of operation long text).
I have checked all areas that I could think of in config to see if there is a display setting that will require to be activated and I could not find anything under Results recording, Inspection planning or General settings. I also tried to see if user settings may be making a difference and it did not. The SAP Help portal when talking of long texts available in results recording lists the following: Long texts for inspection lot, inspection method and inspection charcateristic. Nothing about operation long text.
However, the text is printed on the inspection instruction standard form.
SAP Notes has nothing on the subject that I could find.
So, as a last resort, I would like to ask if any other Quality Management specialist came across this and spent any time in determining if this can be done and why the information would not be displayed standard in the transactions. My client would prefer not to have to print the instructions in order to see the entire text. However, I do not see any standard way to have it displayed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know it will help or not. But if your MIC is qualitative then you can use the long text of catalog code in QS42.

Addition of user defined fields in Results Recording screen (QE01)

HI All,
We've a business requirement to add user defined fields in results recording screen (Character Overview screen - QE01), so that the user will enter data in user defined fields during results recording. and the data entered in user defined fields should be saved in data base table along with actual results given by the user in order to retrieve data for reporting purpose.
Please suggest valuable solutions to acheive the requirement.

We've tried using the " QEEM0029 User-Exit for Characteristic Overview Subscreen , however with "QEEM0029" exit, we are only able to add fields to the characteristics overview screen and there is no provision in this exit to save the data entered in the user fields to a table (QALS,QAMR, QASE).

Access Control Context in Engineering Record screen

Hello Gurus,
I need to remove the Access Control Context and Owning Tet field from the PLM Engineering Record screen. Is it possible to do with configuration to hide these fields?
I removed from "Specify Object Types for PLM Authorization check".

Hi Jo ,
You cannot hide it via configuration as access control context is coming from component reuse . I created it while my team was developing PLM ECR in SAP Labs India.
One possible approach is to do a custom development to hide this field .

My new Macbook Pro 13 keeps minimizing full screen applications and sending me back to the desktop. Any Help?

I can't stay in full screen applications without being returned to the desktop within 30 seconds. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or can assist
I am testing it without running any applications other than safari in full screen. It act like it is "swiping" me back to the desktop screen. I am not touching my trackpad or keyboard.

Full screen application on Mac Os Lion

Hi,
I am trying to develop a full screen application in AS3 / Air. This application must run on Mac Os X Lion plateform.
The fact is that when I launch the application on Lion , a start up window appear, then the application is going to full screen mode, but the launch window still appear in front of it.
This problem is for Lion only, as the application work well on Snow Leopard.
Here is the code i'am using :

Hi there, i am usign Flex SDK 4.6 with Air 3.2 release candidate on OSX Lion 10.7.3 and i still have this problem too...
I did manage to find a workaround that work only with air 3.2 :
I wait for user mouse input before setting it to fullscreen and it works.
But i still can't make it go fullscreen automatically, it will be hidden by the app window.
One thing is weird, when i compile it in flash builder, i get this bug one time in 1000 compiles, but when it is installed as an air app on , it wont work at all.. unless i use the workaround stated earlier.

PLM UI: How to hide fields in Create Engineering record screen?

I assumed that you want some fields to be invisible for all scenarios so i suggested the option of configuration instead of enhancing the SAP Standard component.
and i would copy paste what i already wrote
"So if your use case includes that fields needs to be hidden for all users and for all clients you should go for Configuration
and if it is only for selected clients you could go for Customization.
and if it is only for selected users you could go for personalization "
I am sorry i completely overlooked that you want to achieve that as per user role, i would suggest you to read about Access Control Management, and revisit whether you want to change the UI or you dont want to display data as per user role and all those operations update create as per the role.

Tabs Categorization, Partners etc. in Interaction Record screen in Web UI

Hi,
I'd like to know if it is possible to hide some of the tabs displayed from standard in the web UI screen of the Interaction Records.
From standard, for example, they're displayed the following information:
Overview
Categorization
Organizational Data
Partners
Follow Up
Actions
Notes
etc
I'd like to hide all but Overview.
If I access component ICCMP_BT_INR with transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB I see that there are some ViewSets which correspond to the tabs mentioned above. Is it possible to delete them after having enhanced the component ICCMP_BT_INR?
If yes, how?
Is there any other procedure to be followed?

I've tried to create a new cstom configuration clicking on the button "Show Configurable Areas" in the Interaction Record screen, but it is possible to configure the single areas (i.e. the Notes area, the Activity Clipboard area, etc.) but not the overall page in which these blocks are inserted...
