    hhi guys
    my video recording sounds not working at all but it's working for other things such as music. I've tried to clear my sound thing near the earphone hole but had no success can someone please help me out?

    Had an Iphone 4 for about 3 months now. This happened to the first one I had and they ended up having to replace it at the apple store just a couple weeks ago 6/2. It happened again last night to my new one. This time i was able to correct it by going to itunes, backing up the phone to icloud, and then restoring the software. Mine did not work with voice memo, but did work with headphones plugged in, and would also work on speaker. I could hear callers but they couldn't hear me. I had purchased a new case (lifeproof case at $79.99) because it comes with plugs that cover the headphone jack, and the charging port, and is also waterproof. I heard that the root cause is due to lint, dirt, etc getting inside the headphone jack. Well, must be something else. It's a 10 days old phone, and has been in this overpriced case the whole time, and I have not used the headphones. I hope this doesn't keep happening.

    I am using iMac OS 10.7.2 with Garageband'11 6.0.4. I can't record sound from  mixer Behringer X1622USB using USB out. when I connect the mixer to iMac via USB  appears USB Audio CODEC on Sound and Preferences but I can't get no sound from mixer to iMac only sound from iMac to mixer. I only can record sound using microphone line in. Please help.

    Eric,
    Thanks for your reply. Realtek audio works only in playback. There is a stereo mix in the mixer but the recording controls are not operable with no sliders in the mixer for any recording option. Slider controls appear to be grayed out. Can't figure out how to enable them. Downloaded newest drivers to no avail.
    The M Audio control panel has no apparent option for recording stereo mix. Adobe ignores the sound from the DVD or CD and shows flatline.
    I'm trying to record the sound from the DVD not rip the track.
    When I go to Audio Driver Setup and select Audition 3.0 windows sound, there is no input device installed.
    I'm thinking of going back to a decent internal Soundblaster card like I have on my 8 year old machine I am replacing.

  • Recorded Sound, please help

    I shot a movie recently, and since the audio we recorded on some of the scenes sucked, we dubbed a few of them.
    Some of these scenes take place outside, but we dubbed them in a small room and when the recorded sound is placed over the scene, it sounds and looks a little fake, mainly b/c you can kind of hear the voices bounce off the walls in the room we recorded them in.
    Is there ANYTHING I can do In Soundtrack Pro to help fix this? Anything?
    Any Suggestions??

    If there's a lot of reverb (echo), it won't be easy. You should have been careful and recording your VO with as little ambience as you could. Anyway, try using Space Designer plugin. There's lot of environnements simulations there.

  • IMovie HELP! I can't record sound!

    AAARGH!!! I really HATE my Mac lately. So I'm doing a school project, making a documentary, right? And iMovie is working just fine. I can record sound, put in pictures, the usual. Then, I added a picture to the beginning of the 7:00(ish) minute documentary, and deleted the narraration to redo it, as I had added something and made some changes. It was very delayed, and kept getting messed up. So, I turned my computer (Mac OSX Lion) off and back on again. This allowed me to fix the problem I had with the beginning, but now iMovie won't let me record sound at the end of the project. I tested my microphone, and it's fine, so there's not a problem there. I also started a new iMovie Project, and it allowed me to record sound there, as well. Please help me! I really need to finish this project!!! What could possibly be wrong with my program? What can I do to fix it?!

    The fireware port on the A2 soundcard is something completly separated. There is no direct connection in between those two (soundcard and fireware port), the fireware chip it is just added on the board and is sharing the same PCI slot/intrerupt. If you want is exactly like another fireware port from motherboard or add-on card.
    So you will need an extra software to capture the digital sound via fireware, Creative is providing just the hardware (the driver is generic in WindowsXP). I am using my fireware port to capture video from my miniDV camcorder.
    For you I think you have to look into the mixer software.

  • Recording sound is quiet and dusty!?

    Hi guys!
    I have problems when recording my guitars. I have M-audio Fast Track Pro Interface and new 6.02 garageband. When I record any voice, the volume is really quiet and dusty. If I'm trying to turn more gain from my Interface the sound gets scratsy. Sound is also realy dusty. I can't undestand what is the problem. When I had Ubuntu and Ardour, recording sound was just great... Please help me!
    Cheers!

    Ah, my mistake i didn't realise you were using a USB audio interface.
    I'm not familiar with Fast Track Pro, but i think there is a supposed to be a preference pane for this device in system preferences... have a look and see if it has it's own separate input volume.
    Also i'd check that the device has enough power (otherwise the pre-amp might not be working properly even though the interface is), it looks like it's bus powered, so it is possible your mac simply doesn't have enough amps to give or that other devices are using it up. plug in a separate power adapter just incase.
    Then as with any kind of audio problem of this nature just go through the the whole chain of devices and check that each of them have reasonable volume... especially at the source, if that hasn't got a good enough output then you are going to have to do unnecessary amplification and pick up a lot of noise (which sounds like your "dusty" description).
    If your still stuck you might be better off going to an m-audio forum for advice.

  • Recording sound from computer?

    Ok so I have a file that is .vrf (Ventrilo sound) and Sb doesn't open it. But if i play the sound can Sb record it off the computer (via Stereo Mix)? I know Audacity will record sounds off my computer, but i was wondering if Sb would. and if so how?
    Thanks!

    >>What settings? In the toolbar settings or IE7's settings?<<
    It's in the "Freecorder" toolbar (mine shows near the top of IE) and is an icon located there for Freecorder's "Settings".  On my installation, it's the second icon from the right end of the toolbar and is located between the "bell" ("Record and Auto-Tag MP3's ...") and the right-facing 'arrow (the "Play" icon). The "Settings icon" looks like two opposite-facing maracas.
    Click this Settings icon and a window will pop up.  In its upper-left corner you'll see three places that allow you to place/click a "check mark".  I've put a check in the top line which says "Record From Freecorder Audio Driver", and it has worked well for me.  (Note that in this "Settings window" you can also set the "Recording Destination", the "Output Format", and time at which you want the program to "Prompt for a filename".)
    What I do is: 1) click the red "Record" icon in Freecorder's toolbar, 2) start playing the music source so I can hear it out of the speakers, and 3) when it's done playing, save the file.
    Hope this helps a little more.

    You've selected *Line In* instead of *Internal Microphone* as your input source.
    I have no idea what iSHOW U is.

  • Recording sound from the PC

    I am currently running a mixer into the front audio input jack on my PC, and have all external stuff (mic, mini disk, etc) coming through that.
    Am I able to set up audition so that it can also record sound from the PC. For example, if I want to grab audio from a you tube video, or have an online voice chat or something enabled, can I open audition and record it? I have tried, but not been successful. My only idea is having to run the audio out of the PC, into a channel in the mixer, and then back into the PC with everything else.
    Any help?

  • Satellite A300-1NO - How can I record sound?

    Hello. I've got a Satellite A300-1NO machine, but I don't know how to set my sound card, because I want to record any sound that my sound card plays. For example listening an internet radio and record a track from it.
    I can only set my microphone to record it, and can't see any more opportunity. Waveout or anything else....How could i solve this problem? I've got the 6.0.1.5599 sound driver.

    Hello
    If you want to record the sound that plays the sound card you need an additional program. So its not possible to record sound only with the sound driver.
    There are many programs that can do this. I have good experience with No23 Recorder. Use Google to find it. Its freeware and easy to use.
    Furthermore there are some programs that streams internet radio and record it too. But I dont use such a program but Google can help you to find one.

    So, Ive been playing around with Photobooth, and recently, I've lost the ability to record the sound of the videos I make through it.
    I've checked the sys pref and test the audio input mic and the bars move just fine. I can even record sound from the isight through iMovie - it comes through fine. Any idea on how to address this? I'm perplexed. Sounds like the app to me...but I'm a recent convert

  • How to record sound with JMF?

    I just want to record a clip of sound and save it in a WAV file. I exhausted the web but just couldn't find a tutorial. Would someone be kind enough to give me a tutorial or a sample code? The simpler the better. Thanks.

    Hi there,
    The following lines of code will record sound for 5 sec and save it in file C:/test.wav.

  • Recording sound without Flash Media Server?

    Hello,
    I am totally new to Flash Media Server I need to be able to record sound via a Flash app and save it to a server preferably without the use of a Flash Media Server type setup. There is no requirement for live streaming.
    Is it possible to record the sound and save in memory then pass the data/file as a query parameter to the server?
    I don't even know if I've posted this in the correct place... any help/guidance will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You can use any publisher to publish like FMLE and publish the streams to the application in applications folder suppose application name is sampleApp then create a folder in applications folder of FMS root directory and then keep the below mains.asc file which does the recording of published streams to the sampleApp application.
    //main.asc
    application.onConnect=function(clientObj)
    return true;
    application.onPublish = function(clientObj,streamObj){
      trace("in application publish");
      streamObj.record("record");
    application.onUnpublish = function(clientObj,streamObj){
    trace("on unpublish");
    streamObj.record(false);
    I think this should solve your problem.
    Regards,
    Amit

  • Recording sound is an issue.

    Hi,
    Neither Quicktime nor Audacity will record sound from the net or a music I’m playing. They only record from the microphone… Could you help me please? I’ve tried going on the preferences of the softwares and changing the entry, but it does not record anything, I get blank recordings. I would greatly appreciate your help.
    Thanks.
    PS: By the way, I have the same issue with Audacity on the windows XP I put on a virtual machine (through Virtualbox)

    To record sound from streaming media (iPlayer, RealPlayer etc) you need the Soundflower plugin for Audacity. It's available as a download from the Audacity site. Once installed, it'll show up in Audio Midi Setup and you just need to right-click (or ctl-click) on it and choose "use this device for sound output" from the context menu.
    You'll need to enable play-through in Audacity to get sound out, and select "start monitoring" from the drop-down disclosed by the triangle next to the mike symbol.
    Never tried it with Quicktime, so can't advise you on that.

  • HP Probook 6550 - record sound from web

    My probook has an IDT sound card. I want to be able to record sound from the web to Audacity but when I select IDT as the input it says it is unavailable. If I right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray it also says in the 'recording' tab that IDT is currently unavailable. I have checked that it is enable, working correctly and selected as default recording device.

    Hi Mike-fiacre,
    I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the Commercial Forums since this is a commercial product or Business product. You can do this at here.
