How can we capture the mail to workbasket in PSRM as incoming post item.

I don't know any WF to atach mail into record, however you can use BAPI
First with FM capture documents and then use  BAPI_RECORD_ADDELEMENT.

    i have check for the transaction, it took me to my inbox, but i can send mail only to internal or external user or some business object etc... but
    Actually my doubt is i have a mail in my inbox, but the mail should come to my Electronic desk(SCASE -PS)  as an incoming post item under the workbasket.
    How can i achieve this. can you please explain me the steps involved in creating(customizing) the incmoing post items.
    Also please tell me where is the 4 level process route useful.

    hi Virgilo,
    WF activation has two main steps for initial setup:
    go to swu3 & use the automatic workflow generation to do the initial setup of workflow in system
    u will need to ensure that the mail traffic to & fro works from the system. This is also one of the setting in SWU3.
    Once this is done, u shud be able to see the mails arriving in r/3 inbox, in scaseps inbox plugin.
    Further customizing like automatic workflow for processors etc can be found in RMPS_CUSTOMIZING.

  • How to use RelatedContent component with UCM 11g without Records Management

    As the subject really...
    I have been playing around with UCM 11g and want to use the RelatedContent component in isolation of URM / Records management.
    Can I still do this, and is it supported.
    I have had a look at advanced component manager and also the RMFC page but if I select a custom install with only related content I get a whole bunch of RM related stuff in the interface that I do not need.
    Any suggestions? Is the old RelatedContent component supported directly on 11g?

    Hi,
    First this post is really helpful as I was looking around for enabling related content component in ucm11g.
    Now i am able to see it in my enabled component lists.
    However , i have one doubt. I have enabled the component and restarted the server. After that if i got the checkin page, i can see only 'wwxRelatedContentTriggerDate' metadata for the related content. My assumption was when I enable the component, i will get a metadata on the content check in page to link to the other content items.
    So can you please help me
    1) to help whether my understanding is correct?
    2) if yes, why am i not getting the metadata to specify the other contents is not shown? what I need to do for the same?

    Can you advise if it's possible to archive Digital Personnel File contents which is stored in Records Management? We've got a requirement to archive Digital Personnel File contents (HCM Processes and Forms (Adobe) and other stored office documents) with metadata. Is it at all possible to define metadata in Records Management?

    Hi Jukka,
    HCM Processes and Forms already use RM for persisting the data. I believe there are cases & documents created for these processes & forms in RM.
    Please have a look at the archiving solution for cases & records for the same. They are available from the sdn link of RM. I have also posted news item on http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-ecm stating the upload of the archiving cookbooks. 
    The catch as I see for you is that you will need to know how the processes & forms are stored in RM by HCM & then use the correct archiving solution for those objects.

  • TREX index for Records management in CRM

    Hi All,
    Hopefully this is the correct forum to post this question, if not please let me know the correct one.
    Does anyone have any information on linking TREX to RMPS?
    This is to resolve an issue where the case search on business partner first and last name fields are case sensitive in the electronic desk.  In the DMWB we have ticked the Index-Relevant option but have been advised that we also need the link to TREX.
    I have set up a TREX search index for the Solutions database in the past but setting this up for Records management doesn't seem to be as easy.

  • Oracle Universal Records Management adapter with FAST ESP

    This is my first post on the forums and I have limited Oracle exposure. So if I’m posting in the incorrect spot or there are some other guidelines I need to observer, please let me know.
    I’m trying to figure out the possibility of leveraging the Oracle Universal Records Management adapter for SharePoint in Records Management with FAST ESP (a best of class enterprise search platform). From the technical documents I’ve read on the adapter, it looks like it heavily relies on SharePoint search as the “feed’ for content. Does this mean that the SharePoint Search is required for the SharePoint adapter? As in environments that deploy FAST ESP also need to maintain SharePoint search for the adapter. Or can the adapter leverage FAST ESP?
    Any insight would be appreciated.

    anyhow i have tried ur tips as much i unterstand them (some of the command in cmd prompt and rest in sql plus)
    it notifies an error of missing a datafile that i have corrected and finally the login page appeared in the em. also connection from sql plus is successful.
    now while connecting to oracle through ORACLE DEVELOPER TOOL for .NET, i got this error:
    "An error occured while opening the connection, connection must be open for this operation"
    if i tried to connect through SYS as NORMAL it gave me the error to connect as SYSDBA or SYSOPER that is a valid error, but wat for the connection open error.

    A am beginner in Records Management and, i hope, my problem will solve easyly by professionals.
    I want to add some customer activities in disposition path. For this purpose, i declared and trying to implement my own class using interface <b>IF_SRM_DIS_WFPATH_ACTIVITY</b>.
    But i have  problem implementing method EXECUTE_FUNCTION of this interface. Import parameters of method containes parameter <b>IM_DP_SEL_OBJECTS</b> (list of POID ID's for selected objects). But i can't translate POID ID's to object referenes.
    Standard beginning
    <b>service_object = me->if_srm~get_srm_service( ).</b>
    does not work. Interface IF_SRM does not declared in my class and nothing with this interface passed from calling class.
    I will be very plesured, if anybody hepl me.

  • Records Management   -   Adapter for UCM

    Hi there,
    I am having troubles understanding how the Records Management Adapter for UCM works:
    1. I have installed URM on a separate instance and have defined retention categories there.
    2. I installed the Adapter on a UCM instance and pointed it to the URM instance.
    3. It copied the categories over BUT
    4. Only those categories that allow for non-record items show up in the LifeCycle field as the view of the field does filter out all other categories.
    So I have not figured out how I can make a content item a record. It that possible at all. Or does this set up of
    - one URM instance and
    - a second UCM + Adapter instance
    only support lifecycle management?

    I am having troubles with the Records Management Adapter for UCM too. Also i am having troubles to defined retention categories and configure the retention schedules too. The documentation is not helping in anything about this troubles. Does anyone knows some better documentations about that?? Thanks a lot!!

  • Records Management: Model for customer - project - records hierarchy

    Hello,
    starting with RM I just created a static structure for customer data. This works pretty well at the beginning level.
    Now I would like to add a hierarchy to the customer data. The next level in the structure should be projects with the project that are associated with the customer. The projects are managed with PS. So every time a PSP element is created on a special level will automatically create some model nodes with elements (offer, order, .. ). Under the level of the projects there should be records like offer, order, ..
    Could someone could give me some hints how to solve this, please? What is the best practice for something like that?
    Is this the right forum for this question?

    Dear Vanessa,
    Unfortunately, we have not been able to get an exclusive forum for RM hence, a post anywhere with Records Management or Case Management will be good(I generally search for questions on these keywords).
    For your question - adding a new sub-structure to the same record or case everytime there is a project etc is created is technically not feasible. Even if you make this feasible by programming it will be very difficult to maintain. I would recommend to have an object(record or case) for every sub-structure that needs to be created with a separate record model for the sub-structure.
    For eg - if you need to create & add a new sub-project to a main project every time for an event, then instantiate an object(record/case) & then add it to the project record.
    Some points to consider - recommendation is to not to have more than 1000 objects linked to any one folder as after that time consumed to expand the folder becomes visibly high for the user.

  • Record Management Examples?

    Hello,
    I want to write a webservice which checks a folder in my content database if there are any files older then xx days. If so the webservice should move these files into some kind of archive.... But i dont know how to start because i found no documentation. In the ContentDB Developers Guide are also no examples for the record management....
    Are there some kinds of tutorials, code snippets or something like that?

    i tried something else and it seams that the user has no right to create a record category, folder, series under the domain, because the ID that is mentioned in the error code is the id of the Domain.
    ECM.EXCEPTIONINFO.ObjectId=46544 (Long)
    But its wired, because the admin is allowed the create record categorys etc. in the webinterface. Only within the web service he cant create something....
    On the other hand read is allowed....

  • Records Manager error message

    Hi there,
    We just recently upgraded to Records Manager from TRIM version 7.1 and we have been having some issues that I am hoping someone can give me advice on.
    My collegue keeps getting an error message saying "The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open (#800704c8). She is currently working on a PowerPoint file that has never been saved in Records Manager. She is copying and pasting information from another PowerPoint presentation (also not saved in Records Manager) into this new one. Everytime she copies something to a new slide and hits save this message appears. Hitting 'OK' makes it disappear for a minute then it reappears again.
    Has anyone ever had a similar issue? I'm sort of stumped since neither of the documents she is working on have any links to Records Manager at all.
    Any suggestions are appreciated

    I need to know which BAPIs I have to call to post a BOR to SAP Records Management.
    There is BAPI_RECORD_ADDELEMENT but I don´t know what parameters are necessary.

    You can not 'add' simply a BOR object to RM.
    1.) You have to create a element type in the TA srmregedit for you BOR object and set the necessary connection parameters. Also you have to classify your element type according to your RMS ID and your AREA (case or records management).
    2.) Then your new element type appears in TA organizer or TA scase. It has autmatically the BOR methods as activity.
    3.) The BAPI adds an instance of the BOR object to a RM records (file).

  • Values for the automatic posting items are invalid

    Hi,
    I'm doing two kinds of consolidations, both using its own Special Versions. IFRS and Local Accounting system (Portugal)
    In IFRS the system it is working fine.
    Although when I try to consolidate in Local Accounting, I have errors.
    The customizing of the two special versions only differ in the consolidation of investments. In Local Accounting I have a different account in Net Income Prior to First Consolidation(Appropriation of retained earnings) and in Net Income Item of Statistical Net Income (Selected Items).
    After doing this customizing, I tried the Consolidation of investments, and after executing the measure I have the following error "Values for the automatic posting items are invalid".
    I can see the document that system is trying to post and everything seems fine. I only noticed that the statistical items are apeearing, which is not normal.
    Do you what I'm missing or doing wrong?
    I'm new to BCS.

    The message is most likely regarding the posting to the Retained Earnings item defined in Selected Items. I've seen this before and do not recall the specific solution but it entailed using a different item for this.
    It may be that the COI setting for displaying the statistical items in the log is version-dependent. If so it may be turned off. I think this is in location of values.
