Could anyone tell me the steps to activate Workflow for incoming post item (Records Managemet).

hi Virgilo,
WF activation has two main steps for initial setup:
go to swu3 & use the automatic workflow generation to do the initial setup of workflow in system
u will need to ensure that the mail traffic to & fro works from the system. This is also one of the setting in SWU3.
Once this is done, u shud be able to see the mails arriving in r/3 inbox, in scaseps inbox plugin.
Further customizing like automatic workflow for processors etc can be found in RMPS_CUSTOMIZING.

i have check for the transaction, it took me to my inbox, but i can send mail only to internal or external user or some business object etc... but
Actually my doubt is i have a mail in my inbox, but the mail should come to my Electronic desk(SCASE -PS) as an incoming post item under the workbasket.

First with FM capture documents and then use BAPI_RECORD_ADDELEMENT.

I am trying to make a tooltip with JQuery for incoming list items. People will enter some text in a textfield en those values will be added to a list. I want to make a tooltip for every list item that will be added to the list. I want the text that people fill in in the textfield to be added in the tooltip, is this possible? And how can I do this? TECO status for Prod order for which Post processing record exists
Dear PP Gurus,
We use BAPI_PRODORD_COMPLETE_TECH to TECO production order. Program doesn't TECO orders , if there are Post processing records exsiitng for order giving message "Postprocessing records for order 1000068 prevent technical closing" . I think this is standard BAPI msg.
When same BAPI is run in Foreground mode, it gives "Confirmation Prompt" , 'Order 1000068 : There are still reprocessing records . Set order to Technically Complete" with YES/NO/Cancel option. You can save TECO by selecting YES
Is there a way to achieve this in Background mode.

Call function DIALOG_SET_NO_DIALOG before the BAPI, then system handles the BAPI as in the non-dialog mode and the pop-up does not appear

I have an issue. Sender is file and receiver is idoc with a header and item level records. Only one header and n number of records can be there.
Now we want to make this way that as soon as the count for item records reaches 999 the second idoc gets triggered.

ArchiveLink Late storing with bar code in Records Management
I want first to archive a document with the scenario Late storing with bar code over archive link (function module ARCHIV_BARCODE_GLOBAL) and right away adding the barcode document to a record in records management.
For both i need a business object (expample DOCUMENT or RECORD). When i want to add a archived document to a record i do need a DOCUMENT_ID to create a POID. But i do get the poid only after the document is scanned and finally archived. At the time where I insert the barcode with the function module archive_barcode_global, I don't get back a document_id. This is the first problem. The second problem is, that I can't use the business objects from Records Management (document or record) for the barcode scenario since there the business object ID is expected and the business object id for the business objects document or record is the document id.
The only way seems to create two business objects. one for the storing with barcode and one for the connection to records management. and i seem only to be able to create a record and inserting the archived document after the document is really scanned and archived.
My question now is, does anybody knows a way where i can use the archive link scenario late storing with barcode and being able to add the future archived document right away to a record? I want to do both in one step and only want to use one business object. Is this possible?

You can define this relations using SRMREGEDIT in the Direct POID tab but I can't find any example where you can use this part of the record modeller.Hi,
Relation is a business semantic given to a linkage between two objects. For eg, in SAP Records Management which is used by PLM in the backend, a record created using a record model will have a IO(instance of) relation written for it. Similarly, if you have attached an object to a record then a CT(contains) relation is written with record being the main object & linked object being subservient object. This is just to understand the relations & does not necessarily affect the behaviour of the objects.

TREX index for Records management in CRM

Does anyone have any information on linking TREX to RMPS?
This is to resolve an issue where the case search on business partner first and last name fields are case sensitive in the electronic desk. In the DMWB we have ticked the Index-Relevant option but have been advised that we also need the link to TREX.
I have set up a TREX search index for the Solutions database in the past but setting this up for Records management doesn't seem to be as easy.

Import multiple info records for 1 material item in repository
Hi Guys,
I have got sort of a puzzle I can not solve at the moment, maybe some one can help me to solve it. The situation in our system landscape is as follows:
Systems:
SRM 5.0 (Classic implementation scenario)
ECC 6.0
SRM-MDM 2.0
PI 2005
Material master is maintained in R/3 and the materials are replicated to SRM. From SRM we replicate all materials to the catalog repository in SRM-MDM.
As the material master in R/3 is vendor independent, the materials replicated to SRM also have no vendor attached. For the first initial material replication from SRM to the catalog SRM-MDM this also means that the products in the main table of the repository, u2018catalog positionsu2019, will not have a vendor or vendor number attached (i.e. no reference to a source of supply).
To assign a source of supply in the repository to a product (record) we will use info records which are replicated from R/3 to SRM-MDM. The mapping for this in the Import Manager can only be based on the product number. As this is the only unique value available which can map a info record to a already existing (but vendor less) ptoduct item in the catalog.
As long as every item in the repository has only one unique info record, meaning one source of supply with a specific price, there is no issue in the above scenario. Based on the product-id, the info record data will be matched with the material item in the catalog.
The issue for me arises when multiple info records exists for the same material. The info records can heave different vendors and different prices. All possible vendors should be available in the catalog for the same material (at least this is the requirement ).
At this point the product-id will no longer be an unique value. Importing the info records will cause problems, as only one material record is available in the repository for the specific product-id (remember that when doing a initial replication of the material master to the catalog, no vendor data is replicated).
Does anyone had this issue before, and knows a solution? Is it for example possible during the import of the info records in the Import manager, to duplicate material records in the destination data, based on the number of info records available in the source data for the same product-id. Or is there an other solution that I am missing?

@ Shai: you are right; the standard SRM-MDM 2.0 catalog repository has a qualified lookup table u2018priceu2019, in which itu2019s possible to store the info record data. The standard fields in this sub-table are: Purchase Org, Amount, Currency Lower B, PIR-ID, price based quantity and Price based quantity UoM.
I added some extra fields (non qualified), to accompany the remaining info record data (product no. u2013 vendor id u2013 product category) which is exported/imported, via the standard extraction program in R/3: Tcode MECCM
I tried the solution Ravi proposed. This scenario works fine when, for example you want to maintain multiple info records for one specific material record in the main table (all info records related to the same source of supply, i.e. vendor). But as I described, the info records we import for one product can have different vendors.
The source of supply (vendor) in the shopping cart of SRM is determined via the u2018supplieru2019 field in the main repository table (which is in itself a flat lookup table ). What happens now is that all related info records are added to the u2018price informationu2019 field of the specific product record in the main table. Thus info records which have different suppliers are attached to a record in the main table which will have one specific supplier in the u2018supplieru2019 field. So from my point of view this will not work.
I am still stuck with the situation that the material master import will only import one record for every distinct product, which can have multiple info records. The info records can/will have different vendors. As the supplier field in the main table determines the source of supply in the shopping cartu2026. Iu2019am seeking for a solution which will duplicate the material records in the main table, based on the amount of imported info records for that specific material record, that have distinct vendors.
Shai, if you have some useful info on how you accomplished this requirement on a previous version of SRM-MDM, it would be greatly appreciated if you can share it..

I am trying post extension ZFIDCP02 linked basic type FIDCCP02 and message type FIDCC2 IDoc in R/3 (4.6c) via IBM Websphere (Inbound IDoc),
I am use inbound function module IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC2 and activate exit 008 (EXIT_SAPLF050_008) and exit 002 (EXIT_SAPLF050_002),
In the extension ZFIDCP02 and under E1FISEG, I am add my segment ZITEXT include field TDSPRAS, TDID, TDOBJECT, TDLINE.
I am send ZFIDCP02 IDoc via IBM Websphere no error but all field TDSPRAS, TDID, TDOBJECT, TDLINE in my segment ZITEXT not post in FI-GL.
How can I post long text for document line item (ZITEXT) in FI-GL ?.
and I'm mean post ZITEXT to bank statement via IDOC.
Please throw light on this and may be I 'm want solution or example ABAP code for exit 002 (EXIT_SAPLF050_002).

Issue in finding GR posting date and quanity for Purchase order item
Hi All,
I have a requirement to list all PO items with Goods receipt posting date and quantity.
So for each po item I have fetched Goods receipt posting date and quantity from table EKBE for movement type 101.
But in transaction ME23n in PO history tab it is displaying 3 records.
2 are movement type 101 and 1 is movement type 102 GR quantity with minus sign.
How to find out Goods receipt posting date and quantity.
what are the movement types we have to consider.

SharePoint: Workflow to retrieve all users and Create list item record for each user

My share point site have two Lists as Holidays and MyCalender.
Actually Holiday is simple non-Calender list with field as Holiday Date, Reason. MyCalender List Calender type list with Person Look-up column and user can see his own record. User of Manager group will declare holiday. This Holiday should get reflected
on each user 's MyCalender List.[One listitem as holiday date and reason for each user] so everyone can view that record.
I have requirement as Manager will create one Holiday record and then run single workflow so for all users present in SharePoint Site, one MyCalender List Item record should get created. Is it possible to do using Workflow?? Please help as I didn't get any
solution for this.. Thanks in advance!You don't need one workflow per user when a filtered view can do this for you. If the manager's list is the parent calendar, I'm assuming that he'll be at least using the person look-up column.
Whether this feeds through the MyCalendar or stays where it is, you can use the [Me] parameter within the filter on a new view. This will then return the assigned holiday filtering against the account that is logged in.

Records Management - Adapter for UCM
Hi there,
I am having troubles understanding how the Records Management Adapter for UCM works:
1. I have installed URM on a separate instance and have defined retention categories there.
2. I installed the Adapter on a UCM instance and pointed it to the URM instance.
3. It copied the categories over BUT
4. Only those categories that allow for non-record items show up in the LifeCycle field as the view of the field does filter out all other categories.
So I have not figured out how I can make a content item a record. It that possible at all. Or does this set up of
- one URM instance and
- a second UCM + Adapter instance
only support lifecycle management?Hi There;
