Recreate Default OID Integration Profiles
Attempting to setup OID-AD synchronization. Configured import process using the GUI, but wanted to redo using AD "user" specifc to LDAP lookups/writes. So, deleted Configuration Set1 under "Integration Profile Configuration."
Now, can't recreate with the new AD LDAP user because "default profiles are missing."
Hoping that there's a sh script/easy solution.

SOLVED:
From $ORACLE_HOME, do the following for each of the lines in $ORACLE_HOME\ldap\odi\conf\profiles.lst:
dipassistant createprofile -h localhost -D cn=dipadmin -w <password> -f ldap\odi\conf\<filename.properties> -configset 1

AUTOMATE NOTIFICATION OF THE STATUS OF THE INTEGRATION PROFILE
we have the oracle directory integration and provisioning server administration in OIM 10.1.4.2.0
use the GUI
from the connect group management
select our sync group adimp1;
select connect connect name ADActiveChgImp to open the integration profile;
select the status tabIt shows either synchronization succesfull or failure.
We want to automate the notification of the failure of the integration profile.
I know the ODI captured the info in the Windows server $ORACLE_HOME/ldap/odi/log, but we do not want to
develop the script/job to accomplish the automation.
Question, in the OID database there may be a table or a view has the status info in. which one does
have that info?
we can utilize that info in the table/view to accomplish the automatic notification.Hello,
There is no built-in feature in OneNote would be able to provide a notification alert when a notebook is modified.
For a desktop version of OneNote, we can see what changes have been made by your collaborators by checking the version control feature called Page Versions, find it from the History tab.
In addition, you can send your suggestion to our product team. You can submit the feedback by clicking on the dots on the top right or on the right bottom.
You can also post in the
OneNote forum on Microsoft Answers for further assistance.

Monitoring status of OID Integration Server
Does anyone know anything about the best practices of monitoring the status of OID integration server. I'm writing a small plugin for Nagios and I was hoping to be able to pull a single attribute out of LDAP that tells me the status of Integration server. We have it running against iPlanet, and we need to make sure it's always in sync (and when it's not, notification is sent.)
Is this what the attribute orclodipinstancestatus does? Anyone have any info on the possible values of this (I presume 1 means everything is OK, although this may be the wrong attribute.)
I could just look at the odi/log/AGENTNAME.trc file, but if OID Manager can see the status (sync success or failure) I'm pretty sure it's some value in ldap... somewhere...I'll answer my own question... I believe this should do the trick.
Using ldapsearch:
ldapsearch -h localhost -D "<SOME ADMIN USER>" -w <PASSWORD> -b "orclodipagentname=<AGENT NAME>, cn=subscriber profile,cn=changelog subscriber,cn=oracle internet directory" -s sub "objectclass=*"
A nice text attribute:
orclodipsynchronizationstatus=Synchronization Successful
reveals the status. -
Export and Import Integration Profile - Demantra
Hi All,
I am working on demantra workflow in export and import integration profiles through workflow.
I want to avoid a customization to integrate the export profile data created from series A and import the data into other import profile created from series B.
I have done the following:
1. Create an export integration profile from series A and when launch the workflow found the below:
1. view_name BIEO_view_name and table_name BIIO_table_name got created in transfer_query table.
when i did
select * from BIIO_view_name got records and when i did select * from BIIO_table_name, no data found.
2. I want to populate data into the BIIO_table_name created from export profile. Is there any standard process to populate the data into the biio_table_name from bieo_view_name without writing the custom pl/sql.
I need this data to populate into a import profile which got created through series B.
I want to avoid the customization of wriring a custom pl/sql and want to know is there any seeded process of integrating the export profile from series A to import profile from Series B.
Any help is appreciated.

Before to import your BS, did you import the Technical System?
Before to import your Technical System, did you import the SWCV ?
Before to import your SWCV, did you import the Product?
if no, you have to respect a sequence for the import: from highest to lowest level
if answer is yes. then In your BS defined in Dev, do you have a transport Group which says "BS_dev -> BS_Qua"?
If yes, both BS have to be defined in Qua SLD, else your transport link... has no link.
Moreover, when you import something, normally you have a detailed error message which explain you what is missing.
>> Question: How many business system should i maintain in SLD?
no limit I think.
>> Question: Should i do any config at the Transport Group?
Only if you want that your BS_dev becomes automatically a BS_Qua after the transport.... so for me, it's yes

Information about OID Integrator
Hi Experts,
1)I want to fetch data from both Structured ( from DB,files etc) and Unstructured(from RSS,internet forums) data and then load into RDBMS(any DB )
Oracle Information Discovery Integrator(OID Integrator)+Oracle Web Acquisition toolkit 3.1 standalone will serve my purpose of loading both Structured and Unstructured data into RDBMS?
2)Will Oracle Information Discovery Integrator(OID Integrator)+Oracle Web Acquisition toolkit 3.1(addon to OID Integrator) comes as a separate tool for licensing?
Regards,
NNcheck this documentation; check directory configuration settings and particularly its various chapters on Directory Server Admin, Dir Entries Admin, Dir Schema Admin, etc.

Hi all,
How to do OVD-OID integration?
Version 11.1.1.5.0.
I am not clear in the steps Which is mentioned in the Oracle Document. Please anybody give the steps.I will follow that one.
- Deena.I would assume you are talking about creating virtual views in OVD for OID
You will have to create a LDAP adapter in OVD. Please see the OVD documentation for the same http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15586_01/oid.1111/e10046/basic_adapters.htm#CHDJFEJG
Hope this helps,

BIP Advanced install (AS 10.1.3) for SSO/OID integration
Hi all,
We need to install BIP on 10.1.3.1 or later middle tier to take advantage of SSO/OID integration with parter applications(Oracle Forms in our case).
We already have Oracle Forms and SSO middle tiers in place(not 10.1.3 but lower)... so my question is which 10.1.3 TOPOLOGY(middle tier) as described on Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.1.0) installation guide, would give us the required 10.1.3 technology to do an advance install of BI Publisher as described in chapter 1 and 2 of [BIP 10.1.3.4 Installation Guide|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12844_01/doc/bip.1013/e12690.pdf] ?
In another word... what technology portions of a 10gR3 are REQUIRED to allow us to install and associate BIP 10.1.3.4 on that middle tier and associate it with EXISTING OID/SSO and Forms middle tiers as parter applications?
I just like to install "the smallest" 10.1.3 middle tier we need for this purpose. I am just not sure which 10.1.3 topology would give us all that BIP needs. I am hoping it's either "a standalone OC4J instance" or "an integrated Web Server and OC4J Middle Tier". These both are outlined on page 15 of OAS 10g R3(10.1.3.1.0) for [AS10gR3 10.1.3.1.0 Windows Installation Guide|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/win.1013/install/topo.htm#CHDFCAAB].
Your thoughts/previous experinces are much appreciated.

Edited by: yahfal on Dec 16, 2008 2:27 PMHi Yahya,
You can install the BI Publisher Stanadalone on the exisiting oracle application server 10.1.3.1.0 installation. To do so while running the installation of BI Publisher opt for advanced installation and on prompting enter the OAS installation directory. That will get your BI Pub up n running.
Now for the other part of integrating the same with SSO do the following:
1) Register BI publisher as a partner application in the Oracle SSO admin console which will generate a single sign-off url.
2) Make the required modifications in the mod_osso.xml config file (refer to http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B40078_02/doc/bi.1013/b40017/T421739T475591.htm#T434806).
3) On the BI publisher admin page go to the securities tab and opt the SSO security and enter the single sign-off url generated in the previous step.
4) Restart the Oracle ID mgt infrastructure and the BI pub server.
Hope this information is of some help.
Thanks,

Recreating Default Server profile for Device Updat...
Hello,
For whatever reason, after hard reset, my 5800 did not have the server profile to check for Device updates. I am eagerly waiting for ver 4 like a lot of other people. I read Device Update FAQ and it shows what appears to be proper Nokia Server Settings for 5800 USA model. I entered it incorrectly and when I check for updates, it gives invalid host error. I think I did not put in a . somewhere. Anyways, I am unable to modify or even view my profiles. When I select server profiles from the options menu, it shows that I do not have any. If I try to create the profile, it says that server ID is already in use.
How do I modify this setting that I can not see with out resetting phone?
ThanksT-Mobile did the same on their custom firmware for N97 and now I find the same on N8
no server profile in the end on my N97 i got so fed up i changed the product code and got rid off all the T-Mobile nonsense blote-wear and it got me the Server profile.
I Don't want to hack product code on my N8 in Nokia's online FAQ's is says how to set the server profile but it doesn't seem to work for N8.
I wish Nokia would stop allowing networks to have custom versions. (let them brand by a theme only)
Anyone know the Server Profile settings for N8 ? -
FIXED - Exchange 2013 - Can I Recreate Default Frontend Receive Connector SAFELY?
Hi
I'm need of some urgent assistance please.
I had a fully functional Exchange 2013 server and decided to create a receive connector for a photocopier/scanner to included its static IP port number 25.
I accidentally chose Hub Transport role and not FrontEndTransport role which appears to have messed up port 25 connectivity on mail coming in from the internet. When I stopped and restarted the Transport Service within services.msc I then got this error.
Source: MSExchangeTransport
Event ID: 1036
Task Category: SmtpReceive
Level: Error
Description: Inbound direct trust authentication failed for certificate %1. The source IP address of the server that tried to authenticate to Microsoft Exchange is [%2]. Make sure EdgeSync is running
properly.
I proceeded to delete the offending Receive connector for the scanner/photocopier and restart the server, the transport service started ok this time but still I cant receive mail from the outside world.
My question: Can I delete the automatically created default Frontend "servername" connector which contains the proper settings then recreate it again with the same settings and NOT harm/delete all the users emails or the mailstore
or anything bad for that matter?
I have the details on how to create the connector but just wanted to check that's its ok to remove it and re-add it again now that everything was setup and running fine. I'm hoping the recreated Connector will fix what I broke.
Appears what I have done has broken my connectivity to telnet to port 25 to the exchange server from the outside world although oddly I can telnet to the server from a command prompt on the exchange server (telnet "servername" 25) and
getpresented with the exchange server responding. The tickbox for anonymous is ticked already. Port 25 already is forwarded from the firewall to the exchange server and was working fine till I made the error.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thankyou.OK so I found some more details online and decided to take the plunge (after a backup was taken) and my problem is now fixed. Although thank you to the 40 people that atleast looked at my query.
This worked for me, please read, backup and decide yourself if you wish to follow my steps.

4. Recreated the Receive connector for my photocopier/scanner but this time choose Frontend Transport role and Not the default Hubtransport. Restarted the server, crossed my fingers and everything worked!! (Apparently restarting both transport services
is sufficient, but hey I just want to be sure it works from reboot in future.
Exchange SP1 will break any custom receive connectors that you have made prior to installing the update (nor even warn you that you're about to create an addition hub transport connector on port 25 after the SP1 update, there should
be only one hubtransport on port 25 as I understand it, its ok for Frontend transport) . The transport service will not start, so to save you the hassle of deleting your custom connector just run this command from an elevated exchange powershell command to
change the custom connector from hubtransport to Frontend Transport then start the transport service. ( you may have to kill the Transport service .exe process in task manager, then start the transport services after this amendment from the services.msc panel)
Set-ReceiveConnector –Identity "Your Receive connector name" –TransportRole FrontendTransport
Alternatively, delete and re-create the receive connector and set its role to
FrontendTransport and NOT HUBTRANSPORT !!!!!!!!!!!
This issue occurs if there is a receive connector of Transport type
HubTransport that has the binding set to port 25 on the affected Exchange 2013 server. On an Exchange 2013 server that has both back-end and front-end roles, only the
FrontendTransport server-type receive connector should have the binding set to port 25.
To fix this issue, run the following cmdlet to change the connector type from
HubTransport to FrontendTransport:

[CS4] Default new document profile
If I create a New Document Profile, how do I make it the default? I did it in
CS3 but can't remember how.

Now here's a strange thing. I installed AI 14 on my laptop and set up a new
Document Profile exactly as I had done on the G5. On the G5 when I request a
new document it defaults to "Custom" albeit with the settings I had
specified. On the laptop it defaults to my named New Document Profile. So why
is the Profile name not displaying on the G5? Mystery. In a minute someone's
going to advise me to trash the preferences!

Matching Filter within Integration Profile
I am trying to modify my 'Connected Directory Matching Filter' so that only users are pulled, and all groups (except for a few) are ignored. I am pulling from Active Directory into OID.
This is the string I tried for ignoring computers and groups, but groups still pass thru (not sure about computers)
"searchfilter=(|((objectclass=user)(!(objectclass=computer)(objectclass=group))))"
Can anyone help with this? Or point me to a reference/examples for RFC-1558 that work within the Matching Filter. I assume its using the LDAP search filter syntax.
Version of OID : 10.1.2.0.0 on RH 3
Windows 2003 Server AD
Thanks,
Chrisuse searchfilter=(objectclass=user) if you only want users coming from AD to OID.
use searchfilter=(objectclass=group) if you only want groups coming from AD to OID.
If you want to put users in Users contaier and Groups on Groups containr you´ll have to create 2 Import Profiles.
Hope this can help you! -
OID integration with BI Publisher
Hi All,
We are using BI Publisher version 10.1.3.4.We have to integrate BI publisher with OID i followed steps given in Oracle® Business Intelligence Publisher
Administrator's and Developer's Guide Release 10.1.3.4 Part No. E12188-01 for integrating OID with BI publisher using OID WEB UI.
We have creted users and role (GROUPS) in OID as per instructions. We also done security configurations in admin tab for this ldap. When we try to log in through
OID user into BI publisher we are getting error **The server can not be used due to a configuration error, please contact the administrator. If you are the administrator, please consult BI Publisher user guide for proper configuration.** oracle.apps.xdo.security.ValidateException
Any help please....Hi Tim, I have the same problem, I configurate correct LDAP in Administrator and I can enter in Answer with roles and folders but when I try to go Products/Publisher or when I try to access via URL http://192......:7780/XMLPSERVER, said me:
The server can not be used due to a configuration error, please contact the administrator. If you are the administrator, please consult BI Publisher user guide for proper configuration.* oracle.apps.xdo.security.ValidateException
Any Suggestions?
Thanks in advance. -

Default ACR camera profiles always criticized: why?
A little theme for ACR users (and programmers team):
The most "diffused" issue against using ACR instead of "branded" software (Nikon Capture NX o Canon DPP to name the most used) is:
The colors in ACR seem "washed" or with no "punch"!
If You calibrate ACR with a GM 24 panel colors regains a new life.
But WHY?
How can be possible that the 2 (yes two) profiles created by the Thomas Knoll team are ALWAYS more washed (Nikons reds are always offs) than a homemade shot of the GM panel made by a user? Yes, cameras have tolerances but how big they are?
The factory preset should be the more precise! But to obtain good deltaE values (the error time in perceiving colors) ACR users are FORCED to recalibrate ACR.
Why? Cannot be created a series of profiles (by Adobe) to be more like the brand company color rendering?
If ACR had better factory calibrations (contrast or brightness differences doesn't give so much pain) instead of washed colors, many NX or DPP users would use ACR for sure! It has many advantages over other softwares.
Can an Adobe profile-maker staff member give an answer to this theme?
Or some forum user has some ideas?
Thanks!Personally, I have found that the results produced by ACR from my Nikon D70, D200, and D3 are not that different from those produced by Nikon Capture (Nikon's raw converter, which gives results very similar to in camera JPEGs) when the camera rendering options are set to neutral.
Nikon Capture reads the camera settings and applies them, whereas ACR ignores settings except for white balance. By neutral, I mean normal contrast, normal saturation, no hue adjustments, and a normal tone curve. The camera factory defaults vary. Cameras for the amateur market tend to have settings favoring saturation and contrast, whereas the professional cameras tend to have a more neutral default. These defaults are usually given in the DPReview writeup for the camera.
Since the OP asked for some ΔEs, here they are. I photographed a MacBeth color checker with the D200 with daylight illumination. Settings were: Color Mode, II; Tone Compensation, normal: Hue Adjustment, 0; Saturation, normal; and Sharpening, none. I then compared the results from ACR and Nikon Capture NX with Imatest, which gives the ΔEs, presented here in graphical format.

ACR post calibration with Fors Script:

For help in interpreting the charts, the reader should refer to the Imatest web site, which has detailed explanations. In summary, the further from the white point in the center of the plot, the more saturated the color is. Shifts in hue are indicated by shifts in the *a, *b axes. As can be seen from the plots, the ACR rendering is actually slightly more saturated and has overall better color accuracy then the NC rendering. The Fors script calibration gives near "ideal" camera results with ACR.
As Thomas Knoll and others have pointed out, a neutral rendering is often not the most pleasing one, and saturation and contrast are often boosted, but this is a personal preference.
With the Fors script, the ACR settings are set to a very flat image. After calibration, the ACR controls are reset to normal and the calibration settings (in their own tab are left as set by the script).

If you re-run the Imatest analysis after calibraiton with the normal settings restored, the colors are quite saturated and you must talk this into account when using the script calibration.
