Documentation Help on E-Recruitment module implementation
Hi Experts,
I need Documentation related to implementation of E-recruitment Module in EP and also its features and benefits.
Help needed urgently.
Thanks & Regards,
Shailesh NagarIt depends upon the Business packages you are using, E-recruitment version and the application modes (webdynpro and BSP's).
If you are using mySAP ERP 2005 Business Package version 1.0, check this [documentation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/31/3a1665fe7741d5b6501cd505a6bd82/frameset.htm]
The above documentation is based on webdynpro version.
Check this [documentation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/43/0fa05e9e242a8be10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm] for BSP application modes.

Technical requirements for E-recruitment tool implementations
Hello,
We are using 4.7 version.
We bought ECC 6.0 just a test server without portal facility for practice. Now we require the portal access. Can anybody says that how we can get that from SAP, Our main purpose is to use E-recrutiment in Portal since we already have ECC 6.0. Now we would like to buy EP tool also, however we need to give complete technical requirements for E-recruitment tool implementations for approval.
your information is highly appreciated.
Regards,
Nydia.Hi,
For SAP Netweaver Products which includes Enterprise Portal, Business Intelligence and Process Integration you have to buy seperate license.
If you plan to use only E-Recruit then in ECC 6.0 you can install Enterprise Portal as Add-on Component, Generally Portal takes more system resources. If you plan to use only E-Recruit then performance will be fine.
Hope it helps

Is Asset Tracking module mandatory for Oracle Install Base implementation?
In the Oracle Install Base implementation guide, it is mentioned that Asset Tracking (previously Enterprise Install Base) Module is mandatory. Our situation does not warrant to implement asset tracking. Do we need to get separate license for Asset tracking if we need to implement Install base? Any insight on this would be highly helpful. Thanks

ramkiYou're right Fubals, WebApps are the best course of action to explore.
I found this rather splendid article on what I'm trying to achieve in the BC Online Help:

I hope that it comes in handy for other BC newbies who are looking to create the same functionality as I am. -

Generating Offer Letter & Data Transfer in Recruitment Module
Dear Gurus,
1) We are implementing Recruitment module and i am quite new to it. Could any one of you suggest what are the sequence of steps required to maintain to make sure that a Standard offer letter is generated and how to mail it to the applicant while you perform Offer Applicant Contract activity. Kindly suggest how to move further to fulfill this requirement.
Kindly note this is pure Recruitment module and e recruitment is totally out of scope.
2) How do you transfer applicant data to Personnel Adminstration module when the Applicant action Prepare for Hiring is run.
Kindly suggest the sequence of steps to be followed to make sure the data transfer happens from recruitment to personnel adminstration.
Kindly also let me know what are the mandatory switches that have to be activiated in T77S0 table to set up an integration between PA & RC.
3)When you hire a external applicant whose data is already there in PB10 and when you hire him for suitable vacancy and do the data transfer to PA. The next time when i try searching in the applicant pool will the Applicant group change from External applicant to internal applicant in case of hired applicant. If yes how to go about it.
Kindly throw some light on this. Please note we would like to go about the standard functionalities of SAP Recruitment module.
If there is any challenge in fulfilling the above requirements, kindly point out the same so i can address the same to my client...
Regards,
KiranHi Ravi,
You can do the initial data entry of the applicant through Tcode PB40 or PB10. Once you have maintained the data, then you can do the applicant actions like given below through Tcode PB40.
Enter additional data
Reject applicant
Put applicant on hold
Process applicant
Offer applicant contract
Applicant rejects offer
Change of org. assignment
Further application
Invite applicant.
It is not compulsory to do all these actions, but these actions are useful to keep a track of applicants.
Then you have to do applicant action prepare for hiring through PB40. After doing prepare for hiring action you can transfer the applicant data to Personnel administration through Tcode PBA7. Once the data is transferred personnel number is generated for applicant. Then you have to complete the activities throug Tcode PBA8.

Recruitment module ---interview call letter through email
Hi Gurus
My client is implementing Recruitment module ( Not E- Recruitment module), they asked for is there any why to send interview call letter to the candidateu2019s personal email ID through SAP. Is it required to activate any BAdi.
Is this a customized scenario or a standard settings?
Please advice.
Thank you,
Srinviasyes there is standard apllication for getting the mail activated viz applicant activity types/ status......
below is the part which has to be customizied in order to get the mail activated..... you choose feature PACTV for assigning the aplicant activity types to the status of the application.... based on which automatically the mail can be triggred........and feature MAILS define the activiyt type and the std text which you want to activate.... ex Below the std text used is MAIL-APP-INTERVIEW which will be called if activity is appointment for interview..... meaning of variuos variable can be found in the forum.....
APACT Applicant activity type
005 Appointment for interview
IDTXT MAIL-APP-INTERVIEW
RECV1
RECV2 X
RECV3 X
SUBTY 0001
OUTBX X
After this you have to take care of the standard text in SO10 and here you will need a abaper to put the variable name etc which you would require... to place....
if any further queries ...let me know..

E-Recruiting - Recruiter URL works for one user and doesn't for another
Hi
I am new to e-Recruiting, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
We are in the process of configuring the SAP e-recruiting module on an existing HCM system. It is only a demo system.
We started off with the IDES, with SAP sample data.
We activated the BSPs via SICF.
We generated the BSP URLs via program rcf_generate_urls.
We picked two existing employees (PERNRS) in the system and linked test IDs (USERID1, USERID2) to them in infotype 105. Both USERID1 and USERID2 have BASIS/Superuser authorizations.
When USERID1 runs the recruiter startpage it displays the page correctly. Pernr of USERID1 has a Candidate(NA Object) linked to it's CP object.
When USERID2 runs the recruiter start page it gives an internal error. This Id's pernr does not have a candidate object.
Should there be a NA object for every CP object? Does any one have some business process guides that may help us understand the relationships between the objects?
Please advise.
Thank you
AminaHello Amina,
not everyone should have a candidate (NA) object, every one MUST have a candidate object. No matter which role someone plays within the e-recruiting system (recruiter, manager, admin, internal candidate, external candidate, talent manager, ...) he needs a candidate to work with the system.
Assuming you have an ERP2005 (= E-Recruiting 600) you can use report RCF_USER_CREATE to create users for test purposes. For the productive environment you have to set up HR -> E-recruiting integration and can run HRALXSYNC to create candidates for existing employees.
I am not sure how much business process documentation there is in sap help. I have to admit I prefere learning from the system. Perhaps a very rough overview:
e-rec brings the following objects:
NA - Candidate
NB - Requisition / Application Group
NC - Posting
ND - Application
NE - Candidacy
NF - Talent Group
furthermore e-recruting uses some additional objects from the hr base and other components (P Employee, CP Central Person, US User, BP Business Partner, O OrgUnit, S Position, QK qualification group, Q qualification, VA/VB/VC Questionaire and its elements)
NA - The candidate is the central representation of everyone in e-recruiting. A Candidate is always linked to a CP which is linked to a BP and a US. If the person is an employee the CP is linked to the P object, too. (Hint: for integrated systems the user for an employee is not linked in HRP1001 but retrieved from IT0105 directly, e-recruiting uses a standard function of HR here, the hr function modules for reading object releations virtualize this assingment as hrp1001 relation).
NB - The NB object has currently 3 slightly different tasks. As requisition it is the internal view for an internal/external hiring request, it defines what you are looking for e.g. "ABAP programer, 40 hours/week, place of work London, ..". As application group it allows to accept applications for "areas" where you have currently no exact position to hire but regularely look for canditates. Application groups channalize unsolicited applications e.g. Interns, Engineers. Third usage is the requisition for succession planning - not really important.
NC - Posting is supposed to be the outside view. It contains the texts for the requisition published in the different channels. as you might to use a different text for the different media a requisition can have several postings. A posting has one or more posting instances / publications. They are not an hr object type, they define the channel with publication duration and language where you publish your posting.
ND - The application can be compared with the hardcover application. If a candidate applies he creates an application. The application is linked to the candidate of course and as the candidate applies through a certain channel the application is linked to the posting.
NE - The candidacy is the assignment to a requisition. You could say it is the task / intention to check a candidate for the requisition so it is linked to the requisition and the candidate. As the candidate applies for the job described by the requisition (application group are treated the same here) an application is always linked to at least one candidacy. If a recruiter decides based on the candidates profile that he is interesting for another open positions he can add more candidacies to the application to check the candidate for these requisitions. There is also the posibilit that you create a candidacy w/o application. Every external who applied and every employee is in the system even if he has no active application. External candidates can even register to the system w/o applying. You can check this pool for suitable candidate an assign them to a requisition. This is a candidacy w/ an application. You can later request a candidate to apply to this requisition but it is theoretical possible to process the complete hiring just with a candidacy.
NF The Talent group is used to structure the huge amount of candidates in the pool. E.g. you can form a talent group "High Potentials - Design Engineers". You can use these groups to easier find suitable known candidates if a matching requisition is opened. But they are also needed for pool development. For short applicant groups you can track them and try to stick with your company till you get the right opening for them.
The other object are linked to this core. Qualifications are linked to requisitions as requirement and linked to candidates of course. OrgUnits and Positions can be linked to requisitions to link to OM. Questionaires are assigned to candidates at all for general appraisal or to candidacies to appraise the suitability for the requisition or to track interview, assessment results.
There ore other "objects" in e-recruiting which are not represented by an OTYPE. One example is mentioned above the publication. Others are recruiting team and recruiting plan. If you need information to one of these just post another reply.
Hope that gives some basic overview about the objects.
Best Regards

Only Financial modules implementation
Hello Everybody,
I have two different issues which I want to resolve and want to know what the best process would be.
# New Implementation
# Release 12.1.3
# One Company from another big ERP System to EBS
# Other Companies from different legacy systems to EBS
# Only Financial modules are being implemented for the 1st phase.
# Requirements have been gathered from all Co's and Gap analyzed.
# The Co. with the big ERP System is behind in requirements gathering & analyzing GAP and so the general opinion is to get it into General Ledger
directly through FAH.
Now there are two main questions.
Q 1) If only Financial modules are being implemented in AP how to make
payment without matching the receipt, without knowing the material or services
have been received, also how to handle the return of goods. Similarly in AR - how to
handle a similar situation. also, another aspect is the invoices in AP and
Transactions in AR - whether they should be keyed in manually or they should be
brought in through the standard API for AP and Auto Invoice for AR. Is there a
better way to handle this in terms of Application Integration Architecture, SOA
or BPEL etc?
1a) Open AR Transaction conversions - what is the best way of converting Open AR Transactions
from the legacy system to Oracle Financial module? Can I only convert open AR Invoices - create a
Transaction type for the purpose with no posting to GL or do I also need to
consider Open receipts in the process - I mean those unapplied receipts? What
happens with the AR Invoices which have been partially paid? How do you handle
those scenarios? How do you make sure you do not account for the transaction
twice? Can we use the Receipt API or is there a better way?
1b) How do you handle Sales returns where the AR Transaction is not there in Oracle Financials post GO Live?
This also becomes complicated since only Financial modules are being implemented in the first phase?
1c) Let's say Order entry is happening in the legacy system - in that case can we bring in the data through standard API
and run auto invoice on a regular basis rather than doing it in isolated fashion in Oracle Financials AR? How cumbersome or
difficult would it be to achieve this? If I need to bring in AR Transaction data from legacy system to Oracle
Financials on an ongoing basis then what is the best process to handle it other
than through the API and run the auto Invoice? Can the Service Oriented
Architecture or Application Integration Architecture be of any help in this
regard as well?
Q2) How to get the data from another ERP system to EBS - do we do a FAH (Resource
Intensive process), or can we get the data into GL Interface through the
standard API (for only a GL Journal Conversion) and a mapping table?
I will be extremely help if you can please suggest steps to resolve these issues.
Thanks,Hi Everybody,
Can anybody please respond to the above queries? I would request particularly Hussein and OctopusRex to please respond with any suggestions.
Thanks,
Arun -

Function module(s) for Cube Collapsing/Compression
Hi Experts,
can anybody tell me if there's a SAP Function module availbale for Collapsing/Compressing requests of a cube ?
Background is we want to automate collapsing of cubes by an APAB report instead of using a process chain or RSA1.
Any suggestions? Any pitfalls for such an implementation ? Any expieriences ?
We're on SAP BI 7.00 19, Oracle 10.2.0.4
Best regards,
ykHi Srinivas,
thanks for the quick answer, I will check the FM you mentioned.
We think of a cube exceptions list wich should NOT be condensed, and all OTHER cubes should be condensed.
With a process chain we have to maintain these OTHER list manually. In an ABAP report we could exclude the exceptions and condense the rest.
Developers tend to "forget" to add the CONDENSE step. So with time more and more cubes store only in F-tables and nothing in the E-tables (producing more workload as query runtime, DB maintanence like index creation runtime , statistic runs ...) and last but not least occupy disk space wich is expensive if you have a mirrored high performance disk system .
Best regards,
yk
