Hi Gurus,
i am new one in SAP HR Module.My concern told me to implement
Training and Recruitment Modules but i know only ABAP Concepts so i need functional Concepts and also i need Modules integration and data flow of these modules.i have searched documents regarding these modules in Net but not yet get thses modules.if anybody having these modules material Please send it to me.it would be very helpful for me.

Training and Event module questions.
Hi .
I have some questions regarding Training and Event Management module.
1. IS there a way to configure a custom attendee type for this module ?
2. If no is there a way to rename a existing attendee type. I have a requirement to create a group of attendees type of External Person. I know i can use Company attendee type for grouping external person. But i need to change this Company to Group for displaying purposes. I know i can change the Company via T7778O table but won't it lead to bad consequences ?
3. Is there a way to hide tabstrips on PVOO screen ? i have a requirement to keep only Company tabstrip others are not relevant for my scenario.

thanks this one is ok, the one which I can not find is the info message for when the maximum capacity of the attendee list is reached:
'Optimum capacity reached, only essential or wait list bookings possible' This one I want to change into a warning message.

How to use training and event functionality in ESS BP in ep 7.0 ?
Hi all,
We are using
1). sap portal 7.0 sp 9 and
2). Using back end ECC 6.0
3). And using Ess business package
Business Package for Employee Self-Service (mySAP ERP) release 1.0
The business package doesnot contain any training and events module iviews.
We want to use training and event management iviews on the portal.
The document for this business package says that to use training and event management iviews we should install Sap Learning solutions
I want to know?
1. How can we use training and event management iviews without using Learning solutions?
2. What is actually Learning solutions is a seperate module or it is the part of Sap HR module?

To answer the second part of your question, the Learning Solution is an optional component that can be deployed in ERP. It complements and extends the existing TEM module. You generally still use TEM with LSO.

HowTo create IT2002 from a training and event managed course?
Hi there,
I have been digging the way to automatically create the IT2002 for an employee following a course (managed through the training and events module)
I cannot still find when the IT gets created.
I setup the system to enable integration, setup events type, create the event, book the employee, fix the event, and even add qualifications, but still the IT does not get created.
Is there any report I need to run in order for the system to recognize the event participation and therefore create the presence on IT2002?
I have read on some threads that the IT gets created when you firmly book the employee for the event but it does not work for me. Should it work this way?

BRIf you mean by dynamic action the actions you get automatically performed after a PA infotype update, it is not what I am looking for.
What I need to know is how I setup the Training and event module to automatically create the IT2002. No other PA infotype is required.

Training and Event Management - Uploading Data
Hello,
We have recently implemented the training and events module and was wondering if somebody could tell me how training courses and attendees can be uploaded?Actually while recording when this kind of screens comes
we will just expand the nodes and then go to next node
we genrally do mistake that we won't select the node some times even we select it won't pick screen selection

Rajendra.I haven't been on an ECC6.0 yet.. but I don't see any issues with creating SAP Transaction iViews for PV7I & PV8I.. The NW04s that drives ECC6.0 will have the integrated ITS, so using PV7i & pv8i should not be an issue. I would check with SAP via OSS if there is a proposal to deliver standard WebDynpros for T&E before going for a custom WebDynpro.

Connection to backend with portal is working fine. Ess business package is working fine . I tried iac iview for pz43 (which is alrready therein sicf node) working fine.Transaction iviews (for webgui) are also working fine.
in se 80 i tried tesing the iac component pv7i (which is already there )
it is giving following error
Service cannot be reached
What has happened?

Note

Dear Friends
The training dept wants to make a budget for the entire year for their training programs. How to perform this budget activities in Training and Event Mgt module
Or it should be done in FI?

First you need to configure the settings in TEM integration with Budget Management. You require these settings, for example, for comparing the budgets created for your organizational units with the costs incurred by further training and education measures.
For budgeting:
Path: Human Resources->Training and Event Management->Business Events -> Budget -> Budgeting
TCode: PVBO
After completign the budgeting you have to release the budget for using. Once you release the budget, you cannot make any changes.
Then you can make the budget comparison:
Path: Human Resources->Training and Event Management->Business Events -> Budget -> Budget Comparison
Tcode: PVBA

am Mathew,from Texas,,i am working with SAp consultant company,,,am in the implementation of training and event man agent module for my client,,,
but the client not at all implemented personal development and they don't wanna to implement PD in future also,,,,is it possible to implement training and event man agent with out PD? can we integrate the training need identification and training evaluation process through any other system with SAP?

The one way you can assess the gap is setting up your qualifications catalogue and linking these as requirements to your positions (the PD way).
The other way is to buy LSO - it is a SAP extra. In this you can set up learning nets and assign people to training so they can book themselves via the ESS portal. Be sure to check version compatibility though between your existing SAP version and the LSO (currently LSO 6 is available).

I am thinking the linjk is only through the WBS element .please guide me if am wrong.
But I am not able to get the data flow across these two modules.

My client scenario needs a close interaction(flow) of data from PS to SD
I am trying to establish this llink through DIP profile and RRB .As i am not familiar

PS SD integration happens during Milestone billing...
Below is whole process-
Billing Plan for Milestone Billing
Milestone billing means distributing the total amount to be billed over multiple billing
dates in the billing plan.
As each milestone is successfully reached, the customer is billed either a percentage of
the entire project cost or simply a pre-defined amount.
During sales order processing, the system determines from the item category whether a
billing plan is required and, if so, which type of plan
The type of billing plan that is determined at this point is set up in Customizing and
cannot be changed in the sales document.
Billing plans for periodic billing and milestone billing plans for project-related milestone
billing have different overview screens so that you can enter data relevant to your
processing.
For example, for milestone billing, you must be able to enter data to identify the
individual milestones.
IMG configuration requires:-
1. Maintain billing plan types for milestone billing in OVBO.
2. Define date description in SM30 - V_TVTB.
3. Maintain Date Category for Billing Plan Type IN OVBJ.
4. Allocate date category in SM30 - V_TFPLA_TY.
5. Maintain date proposal for Billing Plan Type in OVBM.
6. Assign Billing Plan Type to Sales Documents Type in OVBP.
7. Assign Billing Plan Type to Item Categories in OVBR.
8. Define rules for determining the date in OVBS.
Milestone billing is typically used for billing projects, such as plant engineering and
construction projects. Such projects often include a series of milestones that mark the
completion of different stages of the work. In the SAP R/3 System, milestones are defined
in a network along with planned and actual dates for the completion of work. The milestones
are also assigned to the billing dates in the billing plan.
Each milestone-related billing date is blocked for processing until the Project System
confirms that the milestone is completed.
Delivery-relevant order items for which a milestone billing plan applies are billed on the
basis of the requested delivery quantity and not on the total of the confirmed quantities.
The connection between the project and the sales document item is made in the individual
schedule lines of the item. Each schedule item can be assigned to a network in a project.
To display the project-related data for a schedule line, proceed as follows:
In one of the overview screens of the sales document, select
1. Item -> Schedule lines.
2. Mark the schedule line and select Procurement details.
The following figure shows an example of milestone billing where only the Contract have
been billed :

C)sales pricing - generally, there r 2 types of sales pricing in PS . lumpsum contract and unit rate contract.
D)BOS - bill of Services. which has to be activated. It is industry specific solution. If BOS is activated you also have integration for vendor RFQ and Analysis.

Project System(PS) works for any project e.g construction, operation or any large projects where project management tools are required. it integrates all modules may be like MM for vendor process or for RFQ etc or say may be SD for Resource related quotation with the help of DIP profile or Milestone process etc. IT is largely used in construction projects. IT helps in controlling the whole of project from one single screen and it works with 3 elements WBS element ( work break down structure), Network and Activity.
