Red color for negative values with $ symbol in Excel

Hi All,
We have a custom XML Publisher Report developed using XML rtf template. There is a number field in that template and the field is number formatted with $. i.e. output will look like this.
$100
$200 ...
the issue which we are facing is when that number field is having negative value, then it is displayed in red color.
and the client dont want that red color to appear in excel.
ex:
-($100) is displayed in red color in the excel output. This should be displayed in black color.
Can anyone help me on this..

In excel, under format cells, under category -> Number, look under Negative Numbers to see if the selected option is a number format in red. I think selecting a regular format (in black) should fix the issue..

What is the reason for the Red color for the swap values?

Dear experts,
May I know why the swap values displyed while executing the ST02 T-code are in Red color?

System performance tuning is continuous work. Once you will change the parameter then you need to monitor the system if you continuous getting Red in St02 then you need to again fine tune the parameters. So, it is a continuous improvement that happens over time. If you want to analyze it then you can check ST03n about how much load is there on the system and based on that you can change the parameter.

Negative values with MatchExpression

Hello,
Is it possible to use a negative expression with for the MatchExpression variale on the weblogic plug-in for Apache? I was sure I had seen it as an example in one of the WLS product documentations, but I can't find it now...
I thought it was something like
MatchExpression !myfile.xml
i.e. all content is forwarded to weblogic unless it is called myfile.xml, which would be served from the virtualhost doc root location... The ! negates the match.
Has anyone else seen this config, have I got the syntax right?

In excel, under format cells, under category -> Number, look under Negative Numbers to see if the selected option is a number format in red. I think selecting a regular format (in black) should fix the issue..

Extract negative values with @JExport function in Essbase version 9.0.1

I'm currently trying to extract values using the @JExport but I noticed that negative values weren't extracted.
Is there something to do to make it work?

FYI, for future others with this problem: After a couple hours of playing around it was fixed, though I'm not sure what finally did it. Be sure that you try Google's "Sign Out of All Accounts", and not just the regular sign out option.

Red Color Cast when printing with Canon Pixma Pro 9000

My printer is giving me a horrible red color cast after the latest software update. The color cast can also be seen in Preview and in the print window. No changes to drivers have been made. Printer worked fine before the update.
Has anyone else found this problem and offered a solution?

Thanks, but if you look in the archives of the Apple ColorSync Users List, you'll find thousands of posts from his Mac dating back to the beginning of the List.
The principle is that you configure your device colour spaces to the largest gamut of which they are capable, calibrate them to a stable condition, characterise that condition in a measured test chart, and build ICC device profiles for those characterisations in your ICC profiling package of choice.
You then capture and correct colour with correct colour previews, resulting in normalised exposures in an ideal CIE colour space. With you normalised exposures, you convert into output condition 1, output condition 2, output condition n which is what repurposing is about.
But you do no apply a gamma change on top of the colour managed rendering. That is incorrect by definition. You apply your gamma change as part of the colour correction in order to get your normalised exposure.
If you imagine this in a prepress process, then you can forget the concept of determinate rendering which is the bedrock of the ICC architecture. If you as photographer do a gamma correction on top of your presentation print or proof print, then you can claim that you have a presentation print, but you cannot contractually claim that you have a proof print as your proof print is a colour correction on top of the colour management system. If Apple Aperture allows the user access to colour correction on top of colour management, then that is a bug in the application. Sorry ...

Conversion error in Table control for Negative values

hello all,
Iam using table control with 6 columns and in that columns values are coming from Ztable. and out of that one column is of value which is input/output field and having negative value's also.type of that column is DEC.
Now when i run the report dump occurs showing error message as COnversion Error.
I think its because of negative value even the in attributes of that column i had selected With Sign checkbox.
Now when i run the report then if in Ztable negative value is there then i want to display negative value in table control also.
Please suggest me...

How to search for multiple values with Bex Prompts

I would like to know if it is possible to search for multiple values at the same time with Bex Prompts instead of searching one value at a time (please see the screen shot below). I searched the forum couldn't find any relevant answers. please let me know how to achieve?

Hi Charvi,
You can use wild card search to ensure you get multiple similar values listed as search output.use * for multiple characters and ? for single character.
For Example, Ravi * would result you all employees with first name as Ravi
You can use various search formats such as * Ravi * and * Ravi and Ra?? etc.

Red color of negative numbers

Hello,
I have a great table, generated by a repeat region, out of
access, in an asp page on my website.
I use a css style sheet. My mouse get over the number then
the cel wil be changed by color.
Now I want to make the generated negative mumbers red in stat
of black in the table. Is it possible?
There 80 pages so I like to have a simple solution.
Can some one help me how to do this?

Checking for different values with single var name.

i have a variable NAME which should not take 5 different values.
i want to check NAME againist these 5 values at run time. is there any way to check NAME againist these 5 values like NAME in X, where x contains these 5 values.

If you want a method to set this property persistently via definitions made in DDIC, I do not know any way. If the values that the parameter can take are definite, then you can set up a check table.
Otherwise, one should achieve this programatically.

Column values shift towards left for null values when export to excel

All,
I have a strange problem when using crystal report 10 export through C# Code. Consider in a row there are 3 columns and i am exporting to excel. ex.Student_id,Student_name,Student_Section. If Student_name values are null, then student_section values get displayed under student_name. There is a column shift towards left when there are null values. If anybody has already faced this problem, please post ur answer.
Note: When i just export to excel directly from crystal report, it works fine. i face problem only when i export through .Net code. I guess it is the problem with some formatting through code. if any body has fix, let me know.

Negative Values - in Red Font

Hi SDNers,
We are on BI 7.0 SP 16.
We have created custom Web Templates for our customer and are using Portal Themes to control the "look & feel" of the Web Reports, which are presented via the Consumer portal (not BI Portal but EP Portal).
My Question is : Is there a way to show negative values in Red Font color (we are not talking about background cell colour for negative values as RED which can be acheived by exception reporting).
The Reports are presented on WEB via EP Portal ,so no excel here...
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Suggestion of code in method DATA_CELL will be below:. The only thing is that below code is doing a left justification instead of displaying in red. You will need to find out how to display in red in HTML and replace it in the codes. Hope it help.

How to show a negative value in diffenet color in af:inputText inlineStyle

i am facing a problem with <af:inputText /> in Jheadstart.
i want to show a value in red color, if that value get's into the negative value in <af:inputText />.
I was tyring with following code using inlineStyle attribute in af:inputText />

it's not working....
is there any other solution other then inlineStyle attribute, please suggest me.

This is not jheadstart problem.
Your code should be like this:
inlineStyle="#{bindings.EmployeesAmount.inputValue lt 0 ? (' color:red;'):(' color:black; ')}"
I suggest to use this:
inlineStyle="#{row.EmployeesAmount lt 0 ? (' color:red;'):(' color:black; ')}"

Input Negative values in selection screen for select-options field

I am not able enter negative values for
SELECT-OPTIONS V_ERFMG FOR MSEG-ERFMG.
It says negative values are not allowed but I need to check for negative values. Kindly provide me solution.

You can't put the negative values here...because the Domain which is attached to MSEG-ERFMG has not the "Sign" checkbox on.
