Edited by: Kanishak Gupta on Feb 4, 2010 1:06 PMHi Kanishak
You can use userexit userexit_cobl_send_header
If you overule the settings, you will be able to enter business area ( GSBER )
Also, try out:
userexit_cobl_receive_vbak to transfer the screen value entered by the user back to vbak-gsber.
If item level is also necessary you also need :
userexit_cobl_send_item
userexit_cobl_receive_vbap
Hope this helps.

Hi,
We are facing the problem that we will describe next:
When we create a order the field business area it is not available.
Till now the assigning in transaction OMJ7 was enought, in other words
the business area it is assign to a plant. So the business area was
equal to the plant because we assign it on transaction OMJ7 (at least
we are supposing that).
Now, we have the need of making some exceptions in some documents so it
will be useful that the field business area was open for user filling
because we need a diferent business area in accounting.
How can we do that?
We thanks in advance your best efforts to solve our problem.
Best Regards
João FernandesHi Dirk,
Thank you for your answer. It works well but the problem remains.
Now I have the field clear and i fill it ( cobl-gsber = 'MREV'.) in the user exit but when i save the delivery and the billing the field was saved with business area that is in customizing. So i thought that somewhere in the sales process field cobl-gsber is filled again. Should i found another user-exits in delivery area and billing area?
Can you tell me if there is another user exit that can be used?
Meanwhile I will to post another message in the forum in order to find a solution exclusively by customizing means.
Best Regards

DETERMINE BUSINESS AREA IN SALES ORDER - BADI
Hi,
I wanted to Hardcode a Business area for a specific document type while creating sales order.
Initially the code was added to the userexit to move fields to VBAP but the values added in that code get overriden by the business area determination logic (in FV45PF0V_VBAP-GSBER_ERMITTELN)
This function further calls the following method in the BADI - BADI_SD_SALES_BASIC
- IF_EX_BADI_SD_SALES_BASIC~DETERMINE_BUSINESS_AREA
This BADI has the flag - 'For SAP Internal use' checked.
I am new to BADI's so wanted to know if it is ok to add code to this method and changes the business area in VBAP based on the sales document type.
Thanks
Navdeep SinghYou cannot create an implimentation for a BADI if it says for SAP internal use, you need to look for another BADI or User exit

Q: Extract additional business partner of sales order
Hi experts,
In ECC we have an additional business partner on sales orders, does anyone know the best way to extract this data to BW? As far as I can find you have to customiz the LIS extractor in ECC in order to get this data.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance,
MikaelHi Gustavo,
We have found out that there are no suitable BTE for VBPA extraction. We therefore decided to go in another direction;
A custom datasource based on a function module that extracts the data from VBPA using update date from VBAP to trigger the delta. This solution might not be perfect, but if is sufficient for our business scenario.
This posts describes how to do it:
LIS User Exit MCS10001 and VBPA table (Roberto N. read me!)

Difference between business area and sales area
Hi
I am swetha i have one doubt
1) what is the buisiness area and what purpose we use the business area
2) what is sales area and what purpose we use the sales area
3)what is the main Difference between business area and sales area.
Regards
SwethaHii..
Business Areas in SAP are used to differentiate transactions originating from different points/lines/locations in business. Let me give some examples to elucidiate:-
A company (say, ABC) is a huge company and has a variety of businesses under it. Let us say that it typically operates in 3 different domains like machinery manufacturing, trading and assembling of machine parts.
There are 2 options here now -
1. Either create different company codes for the 3 business operations (which would be the easiest and require no creativity)
or
2.) Create each of these business lines into business areas (the better option).
The advantages of using the second option is:
1. You can use these business areas if other company codes require the same areas
2. The configuration is simpler as in case of company code, you would require to go through the entire configuration of creating Chart of Accounts, Fiscal Year variants, posting periods variants and so on. In the business area option, you just need to attach it to the company code and the rest of the details in Business area is attached by default from the company code you are using it in.
3. Using the options in controlling (EC-PCA, Enterprise Controlling, Profit Centre Accounting), you can even draw up Balance Sheets and PL statements for your business areas and hence this is used for management accounting in some companies (like HP, Dell, etc) when it wants to know the operating profits for different business areas/lines.
The above was an example when the company wanted to separate entries according to the lines it operates in... the other case could be when it wants to find out profitability during its operations in cities and differentiates these cities into Business
Areas...
Business Areas are not much relevant in FI but are much more relevant in CO.
Hope this clears.
What is mySAP SD?
The SAP sales and distribution is part of the logistics module that support your customers, starting from quotations, sales order and all the way towards billing the customer. It is tightly integrated with the MM and PP functional modules. It allows companies to input their customer sales price, check for open orders and forecast etc.
The most important basic functional features in the sd module are:
- Pricing - Availability Check
- Credit Management - Material Determination
- Output Determination - Text Processing
- Tax Determination - Account Determination

Redetermine Pricing Procedure in Sales Order
Hi!!,
This is a very unique requirement and I was wondering if standard R/3 can handle this.
I have new PP which should be redetermined while creating a Sales Order.I am aware that a PP gets determined by Sales area ,Doc PP and Cust PP combination. But in my case I cannot create a new Doc type so that I can assign it a new Doc PP.Niether can I always go to the customer to change the Cust PP so that when I create the sales order the new PP gets determined.
My requirement is that when I create the sales order it brings in the default PP and using something I change it to a new one. There are no CustPP and DocPP fields available in the sales order catalogue for the same.
I was wondering if the Pricing procedure field in the Condition type configuration can be of any use?
Worthy answers would be rewarded with points...
ThanksUnderstanding the requirement, I have a few queries.
1. What will be new in the pricing procedure? Is it price condition, Discounts, taxes, etc.?
If my understanding is correct, then I suggest you to have 2 pricing condition in a pricing procedure (This is not a standard practice, but workaround). Let the default price condition (say PR00) be prior to the one which has to be replaced (say ZP00 - copy of PR00). Keep the Second Price (ZP00) as manual entry.
You can get a routine written from Abaper that when the second pricing is picked, the methodlogy you the the pricing procedure to work & maintain the same for alternative calcutaion type in pricing procedure.
You requirement is not an easy one & you have to work on such workaround & development of routine for alternative calculation type.

This field cannot be updated as there are open sales order lines
When trying to enable Item Attributes then I am getting a message "This field cannot be updated as there are open sales order lines". I cancelled the Sales Order ( which was having only 1 sales order line and that is also cancelled) but still I am getting the same message.
How to overcome this problem.
KhanThanks Karthik & Sandeep........
Issue got fixed. There was an open Sales order Line because of that line the issue was coming. After cancelling that SO Line, Users were able to update the Item field.

Khan.

Business area and Sales organisation
Can any 1 of u tell me the difference btw Business area and Sales organisation
Dear Venkata Krishnan
Business areas are primarily used to facilitate external segment reporting across company codes, covering the company's main areas of operation (product lines, branches).
You can assign all balance sheet items, such as fixed assets, receivables, payables, and material stock, as well as the entire P&L statement directly to business areas. You can only assign banks, equity, and taxes manually to business areas indirectly. For this reason, it is not possible to create the legally-required financial statements and tax reports at business area level. Financial statements at business area level are therefore only suitable for internal reporting.
Sales Organisation is an organizational unit subdividing an enterprise according to the requirements of Sales. It is responsible for selling materials and services.
A sales organization can be subdivided into several distribution chains which determine the responsibility for a distribution channel.
Several divisions can be assigned to a sales organization which is responsible for the materials or services provided.
A sales area determines the distribution channel used by a sales organization to sell a divisionu2019s products.

Handling Business Area for sales documents
Hi Experts,
My requirement is that , I have to change the default Business area , determined by the system , at the time of sales document creation . For Eg: I have two business areas 0001 and 0002.
When i create a sales document , by default system determined business area 0001. But if certain conditions are met , i have to change the business area to 0002. and finally when we post the document to the Accounting after billing , the document must hit the business area 0002.I could able to change the business area in the sales documents through the user-exits available for Delivery document and Billing document .But when i post the document into accounting , the entries are going into wrong business area . How to handle this situation.
Thanx in advance.
Durga. You mean there is a different business area in sales and account document after creation? Are you sure?
Or your user exits might not be updating properly? else system might be re-defining business area in accounting thru configuration.

Why did not I got assignment of Business Area by sales Area
Hi Experts,
Can anybody please tell me,
Why did not I got assignment of Business Area by sales Area in following path.
IMG -- Enterprise Structure -- Assignment -- Sales and Distribution -- Business Area Account Assignment -- Assign Business Area by Sales Area.
Please help.HI,
For business area assignment to Sales Area there the Steps u need to follow.
1.Define Business Area
2.Then maintain Consolidated business Area
3.Now in Assignment in Define rule by Salee Area u have to select Rule 002 which indicate
Rule 002 Business area determination from sales area Table use (TVTA)
Then u will find the data in Assign business Area by sales Area Screen & u can fill the business area there .
I hope this will help u

Where is credit control Area in sales order. The field.??
Hi all
where is credit control Area in sales order. The field.??
AhmedHi Sadhu,
You may get the wrong infomation if you only checking the credit control area for customer master.
During sales order creation the system determines the relevant CCA. This is done in 4 steps in the following sequence:
1. Userexit
2. Credit control area of the payer (XD03)
3. Credit control area of the Sales Area (OVFL)
4. Credit control area of the Company Code (OB38)
As far as the system can determine a CCA it leaves the sequence.
So there maybe no credit control area in customer master data for the payer. But if there is one maintained for sales area or company code or in userexit, the sales order can get one CCA determined. I recommand using the check_cm report because it tells you the correct info.

Hi Experts,
I know that in standard, we can not change the sales area in sales order, but my problem is that suppose when I create a sales order, I dont know that what distribution channel should be taken.
Suppose I create a sales oder taking the distribution channel 'direct sale' but the actual distribution channel is 'dealer'.
Is there any direct or indirect way, so that I can further change my sales area in sales order.
Thanks in advance,
Vishal SinghHi
Thee is no way to correct the distribution channel in the order because its copied from the customer master. If you doesn't know the correct one while creating the order just enter the order type and press enter. So that it will take it to creationscreen. Then enter the customer thensystem will give the pop up with all the sales areas that customer was crated. Then select the correct one so that you can rectify the errors.
I hope it will clear.
