Redirect input/output of a program and view it at any time?

I'll start by saying I don't have a complete understanding of how I/O works in Linux terminals. I have a game server set up, and to run it, I execute the server .jar file. This then causes the server software to use the current screen for I/O (I'm not running an X server - I don't want a GUI). Is there any way I can sort of redirect this I/O in a way that I can access it at any time from SSH and interact with it? Any help would be very greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Because you can probably SSH and run iotop. It's just like top but for disk writes.
You can also tail a log file and see the changes being made as they happen (if the game server provides logs, of course).
By input/output, I meant that of a specific program. I've figured this out with screen - it does just what I want. However, now I'm having another problem. My /etc/rc.local contains this to start the game server:

The purpose of the script is to cd to the game server's directory and create a new screen, as my user and not as root, and execute the game server within the screen (that's the java command and everything after it). If I run this script by logging in and typing /etc/./rc.local, it works just as I want it to and the game server starts. However, on system boot, it doesn't seem to run. The game server never starts. Is there some kind of log I can view that could tell me why this is happening?

I think you should investigate in how to upload the information into the database. If the employee keeps the photo on the local drive then this isn't realy for everyone to use

How to input/output a digital signal and acquire an analog signal at the same time?

same time, DasyLab tell me the rate is too high and stop.

   Synchronization: PC Clock
   Sampling rate: <= 5Hz

the problem is, if I set the Sampling rate to 5Hz, the speed of the acquirement datas is not enough for my

Have things changed over the years?
I need to syncronise a digital output (Modul NI9474) and an analoge input (AI-Modul NI9203) module. I need to measure time intervals from a flank in signal A to a flank in signal B. I would like accuracies of the order of 1 ms. Currently, the signals are not synchronised, with errors of the order of 2 times the block length (block size x sample rate), sometimes much higher. The best I got so far was a block size of around 20 with a sample rate of 1 kHz.
If I use the master and slave settings on the RTSL settings, my program doesn't run properly.
If I use digital signals for input and output, I can syncronise them with RTSL settings and everything is good, but I can't always do that.
Also, if I do anything in the GUI (such as scrollowing something or going to another window), my output gets screwed up properly.
1. What can be done to synchronise AI with DO?
2. Is there something that can be done to avoid messing up the output when something happens in the user interface? (I know that I am messing up the outputs as they make some valves switch and that is loud).

Pb of input/output error between iPod and my PBG4

I have a iPod Nano 2Go and I get all of the problems listed here : wether I try to restore or use the Disk mode, nothing worked ;
all that I could get was a message of error : one saying "1418 error" and other saying "input output error". I tried everything
all I only did was disconnect the ipod when I didn't have to do it.
I have this ipod since last month, and I am really disapointed of that problem
the worst is that Apple doesn't seem to care about it.
Is anyone getting any idea about that...???

I get more and more "input/output error" I erased and reinstalled

I am getting more and more "input/output error" on a multitude of subjects . I cannot repair the problem even though I have done a complete erase and instal.
I have a core duo intel based unit with 4 GB ram running 10.6.7.

It sounds like your hard drive is failing. If you haven't already done so, back up as much data as you can, then take the unit to an authorized service provider for testing.

How do I log into more than one email account and view at the same time?

ofcourse it's possible to control more than one instrument at a time.
You should use the VISA routines to access all your devices. Every device get it's 'address' as 'VISA resource name'. This resource name contains information on the used bussystem and the (internal) device address (i.e. GPIB devices have an address number).
So I suggest to read the manual and to look at the examples that come with LabView!
And (from your question) it seems you should take the 3 or 6 hour seminar as well! (Look at www.ni.com -> academics.)

In a nutshell if you want to develop for the iPhone:
You need a Mac Computer of some kind, Mac Mini, iMac, MacBook etc. You cannot develop for the App Store on a Windows or Linux PC.
Join the Free iPhone Developers Program. This gives access to the SDK and Xcode development system which you download and install. It includes an emulator so you can test most apps except those which need hardware such as the camera or GPS.
Pay $99 a year for access to the developer program. This lets you install apps on your own iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad. It also gives earlier access to betas and past versions of the SDK.
Development Process
So you've been developing away and have got a version that runs in the emulator. Next you've paid your $99 and been accepted in the developer's program. Windows 7, 64 bit, iTunes 10.3. Nothing works anymore! I keep getting error 7, 14001 along with a side by side app error. I've tried wiping out all apple programs and re-installing a 100 times, nothing works. I've been messing with this 2 weeks!

I just tried to connect and sync my iTouch (4G) to iTunes and I got an error message that said :This iPod can'be used because Apple Mobile Device service is not started". I tried searching my PC for the program and no luck. Any suggestions?

I fried by hard drive and I would like to know if I can retrieve my programs and/or data from my time capsule. If so, how do I go about doing that?

I need to retrieve my iTunes, tax receipts, and critical documents. Apple inadvertantly sent my hard drive to be destroyed so I've lost whatever is not on the Time Capsule. My mini would do automatic backups, but I don't know how to transfer my information to a new computer from the Time Capsule. Appreciate any help.

Structure of a Dialog Program
A dialog program consists of the following basic components:
Screens (dynpros)
Each dialog in an SAP system is controlled by dynpros. A dynpro (DYnamic PROgram) consists of a screen and its flow logic and controls exactly one dialog step. The flow logic determines which processing takes place before displaying the screen (PBO-Process Before Output) and after receiving the entries the user made on the screen (PAI-Process After Input).
The screen layout fixed in the Screen Painter determines the positions of input/output fields, text fields, and graphical elements such as radio buttons and checkboxes. In addition, the Menu Painter allows to store menus, icons, pushbuttons, and function keys in one or more GUI statuses. Dynpros and GUI statuses refer to the ABAP/4 program that control the sequence of the dynpros and GUI statuses at runtime.
ABAP/4 module pool
Each dynpro refers to exactly one ABAP/4 dialog program. Such a dialog program is also called a module pool, since it consists of interactive modules. The flow logic of a dynpro contains calls of modules from the corresponding module pool. Interactive modules called at the PBO event are used to prepare the screen template in accordance to the context, for example by setting field contents or by suppressing fields from the display that are not needed. Interactive modules called at the PAI event are used to check the user input and to trigger appropriate dialog steps, such as the update task.
All dynpros to be called from within one transaction refer to a common module pool. The dynpros of a module pool are numbered. By default, the system stores for each dynpro the dynpro to be displayed next. This dynpro sequence or chain can be linear as well as cyclic. From within a dynpro chain, you can even call another dynpro chain and, after processing it, return to the original chain.

In form interface u have to define the fields or tables which all are u passing from the program.
In the glabal definitions you can define your types for internal tables or other purposes in 'TYPES' tab, then declare the global datas your internal tables, work areas etc.
write ur select statement and othe codings there in initializations, define subroutines in form routines,
then, u cna use loops , command lines for additional purpose in each pages.

Help with Input Output error

Start up programs and running programs folder??

Where can I go to disable start up programs and view any programs that are running in the background??

The checkbox only has to do with hiding and not hiding an app on startup--although results vary.
Deleting it, on the other hand, should have stopped it from loading.
Check in you user/Library/LaunchAgents or user/Library/StartupItems for anything Entourage or Microsoft. However, I don't know why they would put something in there if they are using the Login Items.

Input/Output Error in Disk Utility w/ Failing HD

Hey Apple Community,
I know others probably have asked this question, but I didn't want to spend an hour looking for the correct solution (if one even exists)...thanks for understanding.
Last night my Mid-2009 Macbook Pro failed to boot after a shutdown. I've had a couple things replaced in the past, but upon restarting in Recovery HD mode, it became obvious that the hard drive was failing (I'm assuming, the S.M.A.R.T. designation in Disk Utility said "failing" in red font). I tried to create an image to an external 1 TB Hard Drive after verifying and a repair attempt, in an attempt to back up my original Hard Drive, but I received the following error message: "Input/Output Error...," and quit the image creation attempt.
I don't have a lot on my computer, about 95% of the original HD was unused. What is important though are prior Graduate School documents, and a few work-related projects. Is there any way to get the information off the HD before it shuts down completely? I am technologically proficient enough to do things on my own, but the local Mac specialists (nearest Apple store is 2 hours away) wanted $150-300 for the work. I can replace the HD myself, so the issue is just getting at least part of the information off the original hard drive onto my external one.
