Redirect keeps getting screwed up

Hi,
          I have a JSP "myfolder/temp.jsp" that redirects to "next.jsp"
          through the Java call
          response.redirect("next.jsp");
          Unfortunately, the resulting page is not "myfolder/next.jsp", but
          "servlets/myfolder/next.jsp". I don't know where this "servlets"
          prefix came from, but I'm figuring its some kind of weblogic setting
          that I haven't adjusted.
          Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

The browser itself knows the "current directory" based on the last URL
          submitted. That's a result of using sub-folders ... probably nothing to do
          with WebLogic.
          Peace,

  • Permissions Keep Getting Screwed up: WHY?

    I upgraded my MacMini from 10.4.11, which I'd used for years, to 10.5.8 recently. In the final analysis, I shouldn't have. Although more and more applications I want to run seem to now require at least 10.5, I should've forgone the desire to use them.
    Aside from the fact that my MacMini simply does not have enough horsepower to handle 10.5, I've had nothing but problems with 10.5 that I never had with 10.4.
    For one, the permissions are ALWAYS screwing up on their own. Why the heck do the permissions for Front Row.app (which I've never used) in Core Services always get messed up? Every time I run Disk Warrior, I get a looong page of repaired permissions, from the IOUSB Family.kext extensions to the aforementioned Front Row, to AppleShare, to Spotlight, JavaPlugIn, XQuery, the list goes on. It's ridiculous.
    It's not like I'm digging into my System or Library folders, or running dozens of applications at once. My handicapped hardware keeps me from doing that.
    I can understand needing to run "Repair Permissions" occasionally, like after doing a System Update or some other major upgrade, but to find this cr*p happening a couple of times a week? What's going on?

    Permissions you can ignore on 10.5 and 10.6:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1448?viewlocale=en_US
    Using 'should be -rw-r--r-- , they are lrw-r--r--' as an example, you will see the that the permissions are not changed, but the | indicates a different location. This is because an update to Leopard changed the location of a number of system components.
    As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done.

  • AFter the latest download, my e-mail service keeps getting a bar at the top "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page". I have to keep hitting the "Allow" link? How do I get rid of this?

    Ever since the last update, I'm having problem accessing my e-mail account. I keep getting an annoying bar at the top of the screen "Firebox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page." I have to keep hitting the allow button, sometimes twice. And when I do get into the accounts the bar jumps in and out every time I open a new e-mail, or delete and old one.
    How do I get rid of this. I've had this account for years, with a very reputable private e-mail provider. This is nuts.

    See:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
    The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

  • I keep getting an redirect error message.

    Hi all,
    I keep getting this message on my desktop computer:
    "The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
    This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."
    I followed the instructions provided on both of these websites below, but nothing worked. I thought it was the google redirect virus, but when I scanned my desktop with Norton's 360, nothing comes up. I think its the google redirect virus because when I open Firefox the status bar at the bottom left says "waiting for google.ca" and in the address bar is "www.google.ca/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=U_eEU67DOYTm8gaTI4HYDQ"
    Also, Internet explorer also tries www.google.ca, but just freezes.
    Websites that I have tried:

    Thanks for our help!!

    You can try to delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Preferences_not_saved
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resetting_preferences
    Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.
    *Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
    You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • I keep getting a popup that redirects me to candy crush and ultimately the iTunes Store. How do I get rid of this?

    I keep getting a popup that I can't close and then redirects me to play candy crush. How can I stop this?

    Not sure I follow this. I was attempting to upload The Google Docs app, and Candy Crush Saga appeared on my apps home screen. No matter what I do, it won't go away. I can't get to the home screen any more, and I can't upload any other apps.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    *Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

    Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
    You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

  • When i use Firefox and do a Google search, find what i need and click on the link I keep getting automatically redirected to another search site

    When i use Firefox and do a Google search, find what i need and click on the link I keep getting automatically redirected to another search site called http://www.scour.com
    Can someone tell me if this is a problem with Google or Mozilla? or both? or neither?

    This type of behaviour can be caused by malware. Try running several malware scanners. It is best to run several as each will pick up things that the others miss. Some scanners you can try are:
    * [http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php Malwarebytes]
    * [http://www.superantispyware.com/ SUPERAntiSpyware]
    * [http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php Ad-Aware]
    * [http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/defender/default.mspx Windows Defender]
    * [http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html Spybot S&D]
    This link may help - http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2010/02/remove-google-redirect-virus.html
    If the above malware scanners do not find any malware or can not clear it, you should consider posting in one of these forums for specialized malware removal help:

  • Keep getting redirected to a fake Adobe Flash Player site?

    Every single time I open a link or even a new tab, I keep getting redirected to this page that tells me to update my Adobe Flash Player. It is a fake page. I accidentally downloaded it, not realizing what it was at first, and it put a bunch of crap on my computer, that I ended up having to do a system restore in order to get rid of everything.
    What do I need to do, what can I do in order to keep this from happening? It's incredibly annoying. It doesn't appear to be an extension or anything of that sort. A redirect virus, maybe. But I don't know what to do to get rid of it.

    Three posts and the unrelated fbi link, really Fred.

  • I keep getting redirected to a different website.

    I keep getting redirected to a different website namely, ww9.mitsubishiconfort.com.  The websites I'm visiting are safe www.thecrashblossoms.co.uk and www.atpworldtour.com both redirect me. I use Safari and Firefox and the problem happens on both? I have tried reseting Safari, but to no avail. I have also emptied the Internet plug-in folder and it still happens. I don't have any virus protection on my mac, which might be a problem as well? If someone could please help me that would be great please because it's getting very annoying!

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and  Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

    You need to make sure that you keep the Google cookie(s) that identify you.
    Such details are stored in a cookie.
    * Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
    * In [[Private Browsing]] mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
    * Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
    Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.
