Redo actions in change management

Hi,
We have configured the Change Management in Solution Manager.In the "actions"if we Pass Request for testing(ie. Import to QA) and if the Import Fails b'cause of some reasons(rfc Issues,Authorization issue...etc) how can i redo the same action "Pass for Testing"?.Also is there any way to delete the change requests/ Corrections which we created for the testing Purpose.
Regards,
Sam

Hi Cheriyan Sam,
You can reset the status to In-Developement again using the Action Reset to In-Development and then start the import into QA, Hope i have answered to your first query.
Deletion of Change request or a correction will not take place, but you can do archiving of the old messages using SARA transaction using the archiving object CRM_SERORD.

  • Change Management. Cannot go to the next phase ... And common questions.

    Hi dear colleagues!
    Here there are some unpleasant problems which has arisen during Change Management functions realization...
    1. After approving of Urgent Correction by so-called "Change Manager", "developer" couldn't set it status "in development" -> and begin corrections in DEV system. It outputs in status bar: "NO ACTIONS IN THE WORK LIST".
    2. How should i link some urgent correction (or simply Service Message) to a specific Maintenance Cycle?
    The same problem I cannot go to the next phase, system outputs that "No Maintenance Cycle is open for the current system".
    3. And please can u explain in a simple words: Should i always make a maintenance project for using "Change Management" functions?
    4. Can we use "Change Management" for 4.0C (vers. of satellite) systems?
    Any help and tips would really appreciate.
    Best regards,
    Vladimir

    Hi,
         For configuring change management, you will have to follow the SPRO guidelines for setting up transport routes between satellite systems.
    Well i list down the activities that you need to do. Details you can find in SPRO -- > SAP Solution Manager --> Scenario Specific Settings --> Change Request Management --> Standard Configuration --> transport management System
    1) Activate Extended transport control by setting  System Parameter CTC=1 in STMS --> Systems
    2)Create Client specific transport route between satellite systems
    3) Ensure that all the systems in the domain have the same transport group.
    4)Configure or activate Single transport Strategy in STMS --> Overview --> transport routes.
    5)Activate TMS Trusted services in STMS --> Overview --> Systems --> Goto --> transport Domain --> Management Tab page --> Security option group box.
    Besides these activities, you will have to execute the SPRO IMG Activity
    SAP Solution Manager --> Basic Settings --> SAP Solution Manager System --> Activate Integration with Change Request Management
    For activity Intigration Solution Manager make the following entry
    APPL: Change Request Management
    RFC Destination : NONE
    For activity Integration Change Request Management
    make the entries in table BCOS_CUST as g
    iven in the IMG instruction.
    Now in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN you can activate a maintenance project for change management by going to System Landscape --> Project Cycle
    Click the check box Activate Change request Management.
    (NOTE: The above option comes only in Solution Manager 4.0, for SOLMAN 3.2 you can directly create maintenance cycle in /n/tmwflow/cmsconf --> Distribution Routes --> Project Landscape group box .)
    Now you can create a maintenance cycle by clickin on the button Create Task List in project cycle tab page.
    Navigate to task list and activate the tasklist (Maintenance Cycle) by clicking on the status button.
    Now while creating change request ensure that you are assigning the correct ibase /component of the production system in the satellite system landscape. You have to enter the ibase component of the client of the production system to whcih the client specific transport route has been made. You can find this number in transaction IB52
    Hope now u can move on with CHARM.

  • Change Management & Change Transport Process in GRC AC RAR

    With RAR not being able to leverage the SAP ABAP Change Management Process (CTS) what is the best practise for controlling the changes for RAR rule set ?
    How do we acheive job segregation from
    1. Making Changes to Rules in Dev RAR
    2. Transporting (Importing) them to RAR Prod
    How do we make sure the 'Import Rules' functionality is restricted. ? (Can we remove Action 'ImportRules' from all the roles and restrict that to one role & restrict the administrator from making role assignments directly in RAR (Only from CUP) )
    Thanks

    Hi Prashanth,
                          You can restrict the access by removing the action ImportRules from the customized role that you can create in UME for RAR.
    Thanks,

  • How to notify (email) Change Manager when new Change Request is created

    Hi there, I am battling to generate an email when a developer creates a Change Request directly in the SolMan system. When he creates a new Change Request via CRMD_ORDER by filling in the Sold-to-Party, Change Manager, iBase etc., the message is automatically in 'To Be Approved'. I want to notify the Change Man ager as soon as a new Change Request has been submitted, but when I check the Actions tab in the message, no email action is listed or executed. I have edited SLFN0001_STANDARD... in SPPFCADM with conditions set. How can I create a email notification for the Change Manager as soon as a Change Request is in To Be Approved status?

    Hi,
    Create a action definition with the following information:
    Processing when saving.
    No restriction.
    Check Schedule Automatically.
    Check Partner-Dependent.
    Select Partner Function for Change Manager.
    Determination Using Conditions that Can be Transported.
    Then you have to create an Start Condition such as; userstatus = to be approved.
    No scheduled condition is needed.

  • Change Manager and Person Responsible

    Why the Change Manager partner function is defined with function category "Person Responsible" and the CRM relationship "is responsible BP for"? This is related to the "Person responsible" field of a change document in the transaction crmd_order, when I use the find tab? What does it happen if I define the Change Manager like a simple employee?
    Thanks
    Antonello

    Hi
    Under HRMS Manager=> Security, you can find *"CustomForm"*
    You can select "Combined Person & Assignment Form" as the form to be customized and restrict based on Person Action and Person Type.
    Cheers,

  • Problem with undo/redo actions in a StyledDocument

    Hello,
    In my app i have a text area where each user can keep some notes.The document is serialized and saved in the database for later access as StyledDocument, in order to be saved with the formating the user has chosen(for example with certain fonts,text color and size).
    What i want to do now is to give to the user the ability to undo/redo his actions. I have these methods implemented and everything worked fine when i was saving and loading simple text in my JTextPane (previously i was saving in the database what user typed as a simple string which meant that the formatting was lost). Now, after loading styled document (using the textPane.setStyledDocument(doc) code line) these actions do not work.
    Are there any suggestions on how i can make this work? Is it possible?
    I hope i made my problem clear enough
    Thanks in advance

    Seem like I found the answer to my issue: http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/whats-new-2014.html#Undo/Redo enhancements
    Undo/Redo enhancements
    All undo/redo actions are recorded at the HTML file-level. This means, any manual changes to a CSS file can be undone from ANY related file.
    Someone called it Undo/Redo enhancements!? Damn this is the most stupid thing one can imagine about undo/redo! How the heck editing one source file affects the other!? Do whatever you want in Designer mode, but I'm editing SOURCE CODE and need to be able to undo/redo my actions on a file level.
    With this change TextEdit or Notepad becomes a more suitable tool for editing HTML/CSS than Dreamweaver.

  • Agentry: Trigger action when changing main screen tab

    Hi,
    I'm adapting Work Manager for iPad and in my main screen I have 4 tab screens: Work Orders, Notifications, Time Sheets and Crew Manager.
    I would like to trigger a List Selection action step when the user navigates to the Time Sheets tab in order to select the current day of the week automatically. I already created and tested the action with a button and it's working fine but I don't find a way to trigger an action when changing main screen tabs.
    Here my main screen:
    In the screen definition there is not much I can define... just the icon, size and styling...

    Ok, thank you both, the question has been answered
    Regarding Bill suggestions I think there are too many possible actions in the main screen where to apply the selection step.
    And to apply Jason's workaround I need to do a major UI change and user's are too familiar now with the solution that has been in production for a while...
    I think I will set the date after transmit. It won't work on the initial load and when user manually selects a different day and comes back to the tab, but I think it will cover more than 90% of application uses since they are supposed to synchronise every morning and register time for the current date usually.
    @Jason: I hope you can tell the idea to the engineering team

  • Engineering change management for materials in MDM

    Hi,
    we want to replace a home-made material master data system by MDM, but need some Engineering Change Management functions like
    - versions of material
    - release dates
    - different release dates in relation to different factories (i.e. client systems)
    Any idea, how this could be handled in MDM ?
    Michael Tegethoff
    KONE GmbH

    Hello Michael:
    All of that information you mention can be included on MDM as plain attributes on the Materials table.
    As for Versions, if materials are updated thru MDM Import I'd suggest  include the new version number and as import action choose "Update all mapped fields", that is, while importing the old version number will be updated.
    for different release dates you can maintain as many date attributes as Factories you have. When harmonizing data (syndicating) you can map each factory to its correspondant release date, so the other factories won't even "notice" the other dates.
    Please let me know if that helped at all.
    Greetings!
    Alejandro

    Hello,
    In the intresting document I read that for the deployement the version number mentionned in the MANIFEST.MF is very important in a clustered evironment.
    SAPnote 727180 - Version of PAR File in Manifest File
    denies this.
    Can you clear this out?
    Kind Regards

  • Issue in execution of Dynamic action on change event

    Hi,
    Greetings.
    I have scenario, where I have one select list (P_CATEGORY) and one shuttle control (P_ROOMS) on page.
    The values of the shuttle list is being populated based on the selected value in select list.
    The left pane of shuttle control's value based on LOV and source of the shuttle item is a plsql function, which returning colon separated value list.
    So that returned values shown in the right pane of shuttle.
    The LOV values are getting being populated using cascading LOV i.e based on the of Select List item. But the Shuttle source values not getting auto refresh and for achieving that I've created a dynamic true action on change event of Select list.
    The dynamic action is with :
    Action : Set Value
    Set Type : PL SQL funciton body
    Page items to submit : P_CATEGORY (this is select list)
    Escape Special Character : Yes
    Suppress Change event : Yes
    Affected Elements -
    Selection type : Item(s)
    Item(s) : P_ROOMS
    This is perfectly working on Firefox but not working on IE9 & Google Chrome.
    I've debugged in both IE9 & Google chrome and found the dynamic action get executes ajax call and the values get back but not rendering on the screen. i.e not assigning to the item.
    So can you please advice me what will be a workaround for this issue?
    I am using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 .
    I'll appreciate your prompt response.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jaydipsinh Raulji

    I don't understand why this is not working withouth seeing an example, there might be multiple processes working on the item.
    Anyway if the value is returned check if the value is in the session aswell. If it is in the session but not on the page that means you will need to find a way to bring it from the DB to the page. You can do this by adding an action to your DA:
    Action: Execute PL/SQL code
    PL/SQL code: NULL;
    Page Items to Return: your shuttle item

  • Public Change Management indicator and mid-year reassignment in new GL

    Dear experts,
    I have two questions on documentation at help.sap.com
    here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/b3/fa3a95ecd9465c82957992e30e1ff2/frameset.htm
    it is said that:
    1. "You can use the SAP document change interface to reassign original documents by setting the Public Change Management indicator when converting the worklist."
    I run FMCT transaction and can not find this "Public Change Management" indicator. Where should I look for it?
    2. "When you update in new General Ledger Accounting an FM account assignment that is to be reassigned, a mid-year reassignment is not possible"
    Does this mean that I can not do a mid-year reassignment, if I use the new General Ledger Accounting?
    Thank you in advance!
    Irina

    Hi Irina, as I know this applies if the FM account assignment element is an split charateristic in the New GL, for example the Fund, if the fund accounting scenario is active.
    best regards
    César

  • Impossible to call a action handler in managed bean

    Hello! I’d developed simple jsf-application using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 that doesn’t use faces-config.xml for a nafigation.
    Simple jsf page (page1.jspx) has only one command button:
    <af:commandButton text="commandButton 1"
    binding="#{backing_page1.commandButton1}"
    id="commandButton1"
    action="#{backing_page1.commandButton1_action}"
    immediate="true"/>
    Action is handled programmatically in managed bean Page1.java:
    public String commandButton1_action() {
    ExternalContext ec = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext();
    ec.redirect("page2.jspx");
    return null;
    The sample application works fine.
    Then I’d tried to use the same jsf app to develop PDK Portlet (Oracle PDK, not jsr-168). I used Portal 10.1.4 and OC4J 10.1.3.3.
    The part of provider.xml:
    <showPage class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.http.ResourceRenderer">
    <resourcePath>/faces/page1.jspx</resourcePath>
    </showPage>
    Action is handled programmatically in managed bean Page1.java:
    public String commandButton1_action() {
    ExternalContext ec = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext();
    ec.redirect("http://<hostname>:7778/portal/page/portal/SampleGroup/Sample6");
    return null;
    Unfortunately, the jsf page doesn’t call an action after submit of the button. It’s impossible to call any handler in managed bean. Although, it’s possible in usual jsf app.
    I wonder that af:goLink on the page1.jspx works fine:
    <af:goLink text="goLink 1" binding="#{backing_page1.goLink1}"
    id="goLink1"
    destination=" http://<hostname>:7778/portal/page/portal/SampleGroup/Sample6"/>
    The ask: why jsf page can’t call an action handler in managed bean in case of a portlet development?
    Thank you. Andrew

    Thank you, Frank! I’d expected an answer from you:) I and my colleagues is your big funs:)
    I’d understood Portal intercepts any event on a portal page before jsf event.
    But, it’s possible to use struts for portlet development. I’d hoped there is the same approach for Faces too (oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.http.FacesRenderer - http://www.oracle.com:80/technology/products/webcenter/files/pdk_downloads/jpdk/oracle/portal/provider/v2/render/http/FacesRenderer.html).
    WebCenter is fine product but one is expensive. May be, is there a way to develop jsf portlet outside webcenter?
    Thanks, Andrew
