Reduce decimals in amount in sap script

User wants to limit the number of zeros in the decimal places, e.g., if the number is 352.0000 he wants it to print only 352.00.
Is there some kind of special code that can be used to accomplish this in sap script, please help me with this.
Thank you so much for your time.

    Hi Experts
I am strugling with comma for an amount in sap script .
    For ex: 1234.56  and i need 1,234.56
    I tried  system->userprofile->owndata->Default(Tab)->Decima Notation 1,234,567..89(Selected)
and i did use /:Edit Mask Field name  but i am not getting comma.

    Hello,
In the driver program, assign the amount to a variable of type P and use that variable to display in the script. You will get the commas.

  • Output Format for Amount in SAP Script PO

    Hi,
In my Standard SAP Script PO Form 'MEDRUCK', all amount values are getting printed in the form 1.234.567,89 but I want them to be in the Form 1,234,567.89 .
For doing this I have gone in T-Code SU3 and set the default decimal notation as
    X 1,234,567.89 .
I have also tried by giving the command
    /: SET COUNTRY 'IN'
But still the amounts in the ouput format is coming in the same way 1.234.567,89 .
If anyone has faced similar situation, plz tell how to change the output format of amount in SAP Script.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Nitin Gupta

I have tried using SU3 but it's not worknig. Is their any other method also of which maybe I am not aware of?

  • Problem with printing amounts in SAP Script

    Hello All,
I have multiple line items to be printed in which one of the column contains amount value. I have a problem printing amount value aligning it to the right of the column.
The amount is printed as below
    1.202,00
    18.202,00
    19.202,00
I want to print 1.202,00 right justified so that it would be aligned to the other amount values.
    Pls help me out.

    Sorry:-)
if you define the line format with the name RJ(right justified) you must use this like follow.
    RJ|     &12334,11&
    and not
    <br>&12345,11& </>
now is that clear?? is hard to explain

  • Comma not seen in the amount value in SAp Script

    Hi,
I am printing the folllowing values which contain amounts in SAP Script.
    <Z>Sum total,,,,,,&REGUD-SWRBT(13)&,,&REGUD-SWABZ(9)&,, &regud-swnet(13)&</>
Both the values are printed as the following
    REGUD-SWRBT  = 20000,000.00
    regud-swnet         = 20000,000.00
I want the same to be printed as below.
(ie the comma seperator to be printed in the second set of 3 zeroes as well)
    REGUD-SWRBT  = 20,000,000.00
    regud-swnet         = 20,000,000.00
Can any one suggest me please.
    Thanks !!
    Regards

    Hi Adarsh,
Actually the problem here is that the field length of the field SWRBT is only 13 and the extra comma you want, can not be accommodated there.
You will have to declare a variable of about 14-15 field length and then
pass this value in it. Definitely the comma will appear.
    Hope this is Useful.
    Thanks,
    Daya.

  • Problem with sap script formatting?

    hi,
can anyone please tell me how do we reduce the fony size in sap script, actually i have used it with character format by giving font name as helve and size as 6 pt but its not reflecting , what can be the problem? or my procedure is wrong.please help me out

ok character format is the wrong thing
just use paragraph formats for that.
if you are insisting to use character formats you need to use the syntax as well.
e.G. if you have defined yourself a characterformat lets say 't' like tiny, thnen the syntax in your form will be:
    SL | <t>you text</>.
if you are using paragraph formats it will be
    SL | your text
but now you should edit the font properties of that paragraph format

  • SAP Script ~ Put Amount in words & amounts

HI guys: Please help me... I have a requirement where the client wants to put the amount in words on a check sap script as follows:
If the amount is 27,150.95 USD
they want "27,150 DOLLARS AND 95 CENTS"
this is a combination of amounts and words in the "amounts in words" window of the sap script
    please help
    thanks
    Brian

    Hi,
In the window where the amount is displayed in words,
    add the following code:
    Script:
Say you have the amt in &amt&
    /: DEFINE &DOLLARS& = SPACE
    /: DEFINE &CENTS& = SPACE
    /: PERFORM split_amount USING &AMT(T)&
    /:                                     CHANGING &DOLLARS&
    /:                                     CHANGING &CENTS&
    P &DOLLARS& Dollars &CENTS& Cents Only
( P can be any paragraph format you want to use.
      (T) in the AMT while passing will get your amount rid of thousand seperators)
Code should be put as follows in the Routine program:
DATA: amt(10) TYPE C, (Length specified should correspond to the total length of the amount field including the decimal)
               p_dollar(7) TYPE c,
               p_cents(2) TYPE c.
FORM split_amount USING in_tab STRUCTURE itcsy
                                  CHANGING out_tab1 STRUCTURE itcsy

    READ TABLE in_tab INDEX 1.
    MOVE in_tab-value TO amt.
    CHECK sy-subrc EQ 0.
        SPLIT amt AT '.' INTO p_dollar p_cents.
        IF sy-subrc NE 0.
           SPLIT amt AT ',' INTO p_dollar p_cents.
ENDIF.  (We have two SPLIT cos we may either have dot OR comma for decimal notation. This will cover both the cases)
    READ TABLE out_tab1 INDEX 1.
    CHECK sy-subrc EQ 0.
       MOVE p_dollars INTO out_tab1-value.
       MODIFY out_tab INDEX sy-tabix.

       MODIFY out_tab INDEX sy-tabix.
Plz let me know if you have questions.

  • Calculation of values in a dunning form (SAP Script)

    Hi Experts!
I want to add values to a sum (dunning-amount + dunning-fee + interest) in a dunning form (SAP Script; Z150_DUNN_02).Therefore I'm using a subroutine (Z_FI_KX_DUNN_02_INTEREST) to summarize. Problem is the format of the output-field &Z_FAEBT&. It's not similar to field &MHNK-FAEBT& which was formerly printed (without calculation of interest and dunning-fees.
    /:   DEFINE &Z_FAEHW& := &MHNK-FAEHW&
    /:   DEFINE &Z_ZINHW& := &MHNK-ZINHW&
    /:   DEFINE &Z_MHNGH& := &MHNK-MHNGH&
    /:   DEFINE &Z_FAEBT& := &MHNK-FAEBT&
/:   PERFORM ZFAEBT IN PROGRAM Z_FI_KX_DUNN_02_INTEREST
    /:   USING &Z_FAEHW&
    /:   USING &Z_ZINHW&
    /:   USING &Z_MHNGH&
    /:   CHANGING &Z_FAEBT&
    /:   ENDPERFORM
    /:   ENDIF
    A3   &MHNK-WAERS& &Z_FAEBT(C)&
It would be fine to get a hint how to format the field &Z_FAEBT& correctly. Must be done in the subroutine Z_FI_KX_DUNN_02_INTEREST by a special WRITE-command? Is it possible to add these values only in the form?
    Thanks for support!

  • SAP Scripting Languages on the SDN Day - Amsterdam

I would like to give a short summary of what happened on the SDN Day in Amsterdam, the 17-th Oct. 2006.
After the breakfast Craig Cmehil gave us a welcome to the event and presented the schedule. We started with a power networking session: Four 20-minute Sessions with Six SDNers per Table. As I was sitting at the Scripting Languages table, I would like to share some impressions of the atmosphere there. We talked much about the emmerging SAP Scripting Tool and how much value it will bring to all scripting projects that plan to utilize SAP backend systems. We discussed Gregor Wolf's contest and he was so kind to inform us that his test system is also available inside the SAP corporate network, so all SAP employees now can participate too. Gregor works for Siteco Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH and the award they offer for the contest is a Siteco Vistosa task light. More information about the contest can be found at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/4588. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] Another key discussion was held with Björn Schotte, the chief editor of PHP Magazine, Germany, presenting also his company Mayflower Gmbh. He shared some visions on business applications of PHP and stated that PHP is definitely enterprise ready.
Then after a very short pause we started the SDN breakout sessions (3-5 in parallel). I visited the sessions of Gregor Wolf, André Labahn, Björn Schotte and after this I cooperated for the breakout session of Frank Mittag.
    Session 1:
Connecting Typo3 to R/3 Enterprise via Web Services with Gregor Wolf from Siteco Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH
Siteco Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH currently implements a customer service centre into it's Typo3 based website. Typo3 is an Open Source Web Content Management system based on the Scripting Language PHP. The application will allow Siteco's customers to directly check price & availability of products from the backend R/3 Enterprise system, quotations, orders and delivery status. The backend connectivity uses Web Services utilise the PEAR SOAP Package.
    Session 2:
SAP supports Scripting Languages with Andre Labahn from SAP.
This session will provide you with more insights on how SAP is supporting scripting languages.
    Session 3:
Scripting Languages PHP and Enterprise Software with Björn Schotte (Chief Editor from PHP Magazine).
This session showed us a brief history of PHP and PHP in Germany. Some enterprise applications of PHP were discussed. Björn Schotte was the opinion that PHP is definitely enterprise ready and he proved it with an example of a system that his company has created for Siemens.
    Session 4:
Scripting Languages Tool with Frank Mittag and Vasil Bachvarov (me) from SAP
SAP will provide a open source tool to the scripting development community that is supporting the access to SAP Backend Systems via RFC/BAPIs and Webservices. See the concept and demo of the tool and discuss this with SAP Development.
There was a pretty interesting discussion about the tool. Since the time for the last session shrinked with some minutes we had to be very quick, but Frank Mittag did a great job and succeeded to explain the basic concept of the SAP Scripting Tool and show it in action for the tough time constraint.
There were a lot of questions from the audience but it was already 18:30 and we stopped at this point. There would be a second chance for questions on thursday when Frank had the opportunity to make a more complete and comprehensive walk-through of the project.
Then we gathered in the meeting hall and Shai Agassi held a speech and made a summary of the event.
The evening finished in the BoomChicago theater where everybody received a delicious meal, drinks and a great amount of fun with the ChicagoBoom comic crew.
I would like to thank all people that made this event come true! See you soon in Bangalore.
    Best Regards,

I was planning to do a little site seeing on Monday Afternoon.  If anyone else is arriving a bit early as well, they are welcome to join me.  It is always more fun to site see in groups.  My email address is public in my SDN business card (also not too difficult to figure out ) if anyone is interested in meeting up.

  • How to print the Totals in SAP Scripts..?

    Hi,
I have an SAP Script layout. Currently I am displaying the Line items in the layout. The new requirement has come up to display the TOTAL of the amount value in the layout at the end of the line items. Can someone tell me how to display the Sum of the Amount value at the end of the Line items in an SAP Script.
The Print program for this layout is standard program. Can this be handled within the layout..? Someone please provide me some sample code if available.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Paddu.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your reply.
My Standard print program doesn't provide the total value.  Could you please tell me where exactly we need to write the logic in the Layout. I mean, do we need to write under separate element..? and in the External subroutine, how would be the logic. It would be greatful if you provide some sample code.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Paddu.

  • Dump error when clicked on text elements in SAP Script window

    Hi All,
There is an inclusion in SAP Script. I have written the code in driver program. I need to pass the value to SAP Script in the requested position. But when I go to SE71 > Form Name > Change or Display > MAIN Window > Text Elements > I get a dump error.
    Category               ABAP Programming Error
    Runtime Errors         DATA_LENGTH_TOO_LARGE

    ABAP Program           SAPLSTXK

    Date and Time          30.04.2014 20:00:08
    Short text
Invalid partial field access: Length is too large
    What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLSTXK" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
         administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS', was not
          caught in
procedure "TOKEN_COMMENT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
In the executed program "SAPLSTXK", the system attempted to access the field
"ITF_TOKEN" of the type "C" and with the length 255 using the length 272.
However, a partial field access with a length specification that is
larger than the field length is not allowed.
    How to correct the error
Reduce the length used to access the field.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
        keywords:
        "DATA_LENGTH_TOO_LARGE" "CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS"
        "SAPLSTXK" or "LSTXKFRN"
        "TOKEN_COMMENT"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
        1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
        (Unconverted)".
        2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File

  • How to limit the number of rows in a smart form , sap script.

Can anyone tell me how to limit the number of rows in the output of a sap script/smart form. I have tried "protect/endprotect" in sap script but have no idea of how to do in smart form. In sap script the only way it has happened is by reducing the size of the main window.

    Hi,
In Smartform also, why dont you try reducing the size of the window if you want to limit the rows in it. Also if you are printing Line Items in a LOOP, you can write
LOOP AT T_ITAB FROM 1 TO N in the LOOP Node if you know how many records exactly you want to display in 1 Page processing.

  • How to display the number of line items in sap-script report?

    Hi friends,
I need a help regarding the SAP Script. In my script (report) I create two pages and created three windows (MAIN, HEADER, FOOTER) for each pages. Now the problem is while displaying the fewer line item which can come under the main window of the 1st page these line items are comming perfectly but for the remaining line items that comes on the second page the table headings and the boexs are not comming.
Also it is displaying the total and the amount in text in every pages that should be display in last page.
Here if I eleminate or comments the total and the amount in text for the first page the same is reflected in second page. Also I need to display the page-nor for each pages to displayed.
I am requesting all the people out there kindly help me to solve this issues.
    Thanks and Regards

There is no pre built solution for this. But we can show total pages in the report body.
one way is Create a other column in the report with code sum(count(1))/25. that gives you total number of pages. 25 here is no of rows in each page. The code you can write in narrative "Total pages in the report are @5" and out put may be "Total Pages in the report are 30".
If you are using pivot tables, you can try this.
